Steak me to heaven! What isn't wonderful about RPM? Let's talk ambiance: sexy, cozy, intimate, and a vibe. Service is impeccable. Shout out to our personal server, Sam. She really knows her stuff. The star of the show is the food. For starters we had the thick cut bacon. Be prepared to melt into the ecstasy of five star dining. It is far beyond what you would expect. Tender. Juicy. Succulent. Loved it. For the entree, I had the bison filet and my bestie had the Duke ribeye. Stellar! They were tender, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor and juicy. We had the Hasselbeck potatoes and spicy broccolini as sides. Can you say seduction of the tongue? Now, it's important to know that here sides are meant for sharing. If you haven't tried black truffle butter on your steak, make it a priority here. The level of elegance it adds to the flavor is astounding. It's like a sweet melody dancing on your tastebuds. The wine selection is wonderful as well. This is a great date night, girls' night or celebration spot. I look forward to the next time I can partake in luxury dining in this swank establishment.

The Ambience was great. Compared to other steakhouses, I was pleasantly impressed that the lighting wasn't too dim. I enjoyed my birthday cotton candy accent at the end of our dinner. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Chicago.

First time in Chicago and went to RPM Steak for dinner on a Saturday night. Was seated on the second floor, over looking the restaurant (loved this!) We had a few drinks, their filet, mashed potatoes (best I've ever had) and spinach. The service was excellent. They even ended us with a cotton candy that said happy birthday (was celebrating late). If I ever go back to Chicago, I'll be coming here again!

10/5, one of the best meals we have had in a long time, and contender for best steakhouse ever. I feel like RPM is what STK wants to be. The space is big, and just dark enough to set the scene but you can still see your table mates and read the menu. The ceilings are tall and the music is just the right level without being too loud but puts a great modern twist on the classic steakhouse. Service throughout was fantastic, our server was knowledgeable and had great recommendations. We started with the A5 Wagyu Appetizer special. This was incredible and came with a hot stone for you to cook the wagyu at your table. The wasabi that came with it was freshly grated and the soy sauce complimented the wagyu really well. This was incredible and if they have it when you come it's a must get. For entrees we got the 10oz center cut filet, the 12oz Bison filet and the brussel sprouts. Everything was exceptional. The steaks were perfectly cooked, had a great sear on them, and were seasoned incredibly well. Pro tip: ask for extra of the pickled peppers that come with them, those were great! The brussel sprouts were some of the best we have ever had. The sauce they were tossed in was amazing. We will 100% be going back, it was a great meal and the steaks were incredible!

It's not your daddy's steak house, it's modern, it's new, it's upbeat. It's expensive and worth every penny. Happy hour is a must, solid prices on drinks and bites. The westholme strip wagyu was hands down the best steak I've had in Chicago. The cut of meat for the price was impressive.

The restaurant views are perfect. The restaurant gets really busy so it's a good idea to chill at the bar before you get seated . The service is top notch of what you expected to be from RPM

I will say that the King Crab appetizer was tasty but it would have been even better without so much salt. The same with the Brussels Sprouts. They were so salty I couldn't eat them past one bite. Food doesn't need to have an abundance of salt added to taste good. My blood pressure medication can only do so much.

Came here to celebrate a couple of momentous accomplishments and the place didn't disappoint! Food was excellent but service was exceptional.. Anna was professional and super attentive. Will definitely be back! Enjoyed the tomahawk and domestic Wagyu ribeye.. Seafood tower was on point...

Came in for my birthday dinner and it was great at first! We were sat at the high tops near the bar and started with the octopus and coal fired crab (both so delicious!) We then ordered the steak frites cooked medium and the Beeman Ranch Waygu NY strip medium rare. The waygu was some of the best steak we've had but unfortunately the steak frites started a little drama! Looked fine at first but after eating the first piece we had noticed it was cooked more on the rare side. We asked the waiter if they could fix it and he said no problem. Unfortunately it was brought back out completely brown and well done. I then asked if it wouldn't be any trouble to make a new one and they agreed. 2 minutes later another employee came back with the same over cooked meat and attempted to explain to me that it was not overcooked but the kitchen would still make me a fresh one. I then decided we had plenty of food without the additional steak and asked if it wasn't too late we didn't need it to be remade. They insisted at the very least to bring it to me to go. We agreed that was fine but even when the steak was brought out all wrapped up, it was still more medium rare than medium. I could tell after this our waiter was a little frustrated with us and stopped checking in to see if we needed drink refills and seemed hesitant to ask us if we'd like to see the dessert menu. Overall, most of the food is really good but because of this experience, especially for a birthday, we will probably not return.

One of my new favorite steakhouses in Chicago (right there with Gibson's, Chophouse and G&G)... they have a very classy look and feel to it... just a calming and classy ambiance... great selection of steaks. We started with the bread (best dinner bread ever) and French onion soup, it was great. I had the filet. It cut like butter and was perfectly pink inside. It was so good. Then they made cream spinach (not on the menu) and mashed potatoes, both were amazing. The wait staff is helpful and attentive. Highly recommended

Been to RPM Seafood and now got to try RPM Steak! They are literally walking distance apart. Same great service, great food, and great ambiance. You absolutely have to reserve in advance and they require a deposit which of course is refunded when you arrive. As you can imagine, great steak options. They do have Creekstone steaks on the menu which is a plus! I ordered mine medium well and it was absolutely perfect! They do have some seafood options on the menu in case you are dining with someone who doesn't eat meat. Their chocolate cake was a perfect dessert to top it off! You can hotspot for parking to the attached parking or valet. We did valet and had a great experience. Make sure you bring cash for valet as that's the only format of payment that's accepted.

We celebrated our anniversary at RPM last minute and we are so glad we were able to get a same day reservation. The food was really delicious and worth the hype. Hubby got some wagyu steak and I got the 10oz ribeye. We ordered a couple of appetizers and so glad we got the focaccia and the crab cause it was legit the best appetizers we ever had. Ambiance was nice and service fits the venue just truly a classic Chicago must try steakhouse staple.

Went to RPM steak for the first time and was not disappointed. Had the Bacon appetizer with a blue cheese stuffed martini. Definitely on point. Enjoyed the Duke with Hasselback potatoes and cauliflower Au gratin. Excellent ambience at the bar. The service was perfect and very attentive. Can't recommend enough.

The restaurant is very upscale and they boast having some of the finest cuts of meat and accreditations to match. The highlight of the meal and evening certainly was the Japanese Waygu. We did a flight of Chateau Uenae Snow Beef (the rarest imported beef - RPM and only 1 other restaurant are able to accept this meat according to RPM), Kumamoto, and Takamori "Drunken Wagyu" and it certainly was delicious. My wife and I made the mistake of trying the "top" cut first instead of working our way to it but still very well done. After that, the experience unraveled. We ordered the Westholme Strip and the first service was over-salted. The manager came out and tried to make things right by refiring another steak with less, to practically no salt. In the rush to appease us, it was rare than medium rare and it was overly heavy with pepper. Again, the manager comes and we were essentially informed that the chef was following their cooking methods and techniques. At one point we were told that "chef samples all cuts before service to tables". If this is true, the chef is trying a bite of everyone's meal......seems a bit impossible for a Friday night, downtown Chicago evening. The restaurant was packed and it has A LOT of tables. The crispy brussels sprouts with a curry vinaigrette were also overly salty and we did not get any flavor of a curry vinaigrette. While some parts of the evening were very nice, overall the experience fell flat with the reputation that RPM boasts, they did not live up to that. For people who know what food should taste like, do not give them their money. For the prices people pay, the quality should be consistent, not just focused on the waygu which is what it seemed.

Came here for our anniversary and was treated Terri my. Steak was tough but waiter was awful and never checked. People next to us were served complimentary champagne and small bites. Apparently we weren't good enough for that. Then the waiter would completely avoid our table. We wanted to order drinks but we're rushed out. Apparently our $200 check wasn't good enough for that waiter or good enough for any type of attention or service. Then they screw us out of $18 that was left on our gift card that we told them not to use. Absolutely awful, not to mention we email them about the experience and just get ignored. So apparently it's okay to be condescending and not appreciate your customers in the least bit. Avoid at all costs if you don't want to spend a few hundred dollars to be treated like crap.

We went here for a belated Valentine's Day dinner and it was FANTASTIC. Our server, David M., was incredible. He gave us great recommendations and coursed the meal out perfectly. Best steak I've ever had, although everything was great. We will absolutely be back!
