Rocca Tampa Reviews from The Last Year
Food, drinks, service, amazing.
Music was good too. Definitely get the mozzarella cart!!
Food, service, ambiance! Michelin for sure! A new fav!
Food, service, ambiance! Michelin for sure! A new fav! Mozzarella cart!!! OMG! Love the vibe too!
I fell in love with this place with my first step inside.
The decor and vibes inside are unmatched, feeling crisp, floral and elegant. We started with the bread, beet salad and pork appetizer. The focaccia was phenomenal and the beet salad made cucumbers and beets taste so fancy and decadent. For entrees, the ragu pasta dish was perfectly satiating. Service was that of a 5 star reservation. We definitely want to try the mozzarella cart next time we come. Bonus points for bringing my boyfriend a scoop of ice cream for his birthday.
Table-side made fresh mozzarella was one of the highlights
Table-side made fresh mozzarella was one of the highlights of the night along with the Peking duck. Rocca offered great good and service and it definitely lived up to the hype.
This place is amazing! I live a few streets away and come
This place is amazing! I live a few streets away and come here pretty frequently. The food is consistent and always amazing. The ambiance can be what you make of it. I've came here on romantic dates, girls nights, and casual pop ins. Overall the service is always top notch whether you sit at the bar, the high tops, the private room, or general dining area. I came last night with one of my girlfriends and we had a great time and great service. The noise level in there is perfect for intimate conversations. Great for date nights, girls nights, or groups!
We had high expectations for this restaurant and it was on
We had high expectations for this restaurant and it was on our list of places to visit when in Tampa, but they fell short. Service is outstanding, our waitress was attentive and kept the table clean and drinks flowing. The mozzarella cart is probably one of the best options on the restaurants menu. We also enjoyed the bread starter. We ordered five different pastas to share. The tagliolini al ragu was delicious, however that's pretty much where it ended. These pasta didn't hit the mark, torchio nero, pasta was fine but the octopus tasted rubbery and had a fishy taste. Agnolotti also wasn't spectacular, the breadcrumbs threw the flavor off, something there wasn't mixing well. The gnocchi were light and airy but no flavor, the sauce lacked any substance. Also, if you have children in your party, skip the pasta with marinara sauce. The pasta was undercooked, not close to al dente, the sauce was bland, absolutely no flavor. Overall, this would be a skip for us, unless we only stop in for the mozzarella cart. Our true rating is about a 2.5-3. It's Italian... it's Michelin rated... what happened?
Michelin Star restaurant.
My wife and I are foodies and we had never been to a Michelin Star restaurant before and we were spending a month in the Tampa area for work and took advantage of the opportunity to go to such an awesome restaurant. Boy were we NOT disappointed! First off, we expected a Michelin Star restaurant to be overly EXPENSIVE. But we were pleasantly surprised that it was not the case. We loved this restaurant so much that we came back 2 weeks later! Both times we ordered the Mozzarella cart and HIGHLY recommend that caprise appetizer. It's $45 but WORTH IT! My wife got their Tagliolini Ragu. Price? $27! I got the Agnolotti. I think it was $32. Chain restaurant pricing for Michelin star quality? What?!! We were both blown away with how good the food was. They also have an amazing selection of wines and liquor. I am a whiskey guy and spent more money on my alcohol than I did on my meal, which seemed appropriate and I did not care. I am not a wine guy but if you like expensive wine... they got it. I could never afford some the wine they got so am thankful I stick to whiskey. We plan on going back to Tampa explicitly to go back to their restaurant their italian food is that good!
Great experience from beginning to the end.
Mozzarella cart is a must try. Best mozzarella I have ever had. Service was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect.
Came here for a birthday celebration, and it was absolutely
Came here for a birthday celebration, and it was absolutely wonderful. The decor and vibe of the restaurant is so relaxing. I hate when restaurants have tables super close to one another, but it's not like that here at all. Our server was fantastic. The staff here are so attentive, constantly checking up on you, cleaning your table often, etc. The food is great albeit on the salty side. The price is pretty good for the quality of food as well as the Michelin star. I didn't care too much for the drinks we got. They were savory, and I'm more of a sweet girl. Mostly everything was great, but I especially recommend the spaghetti al limone if you like citrus and crab! Skip on the raviolini - it was not bad but pretty salty and not as great as the other dishes here!
I thought I knew what good pasta was until I came here.
.... absolutely incredible!!! The meat was tender and savory, the mozzarella was exquisite and the pastas were magical!
Phenomenal!
Phenomenal!! Karla was our waitress and she was exceptional, from making sure about allergies to asking what we prefer to eat and drink so she could make the appropriate suggestions. This was our first time eating here, and at a Michelin start restaurant, and we could not have asked for me. Service was very attentive but not too much. Drinks were delicious. The pork skewer appetizer melted in your mouth. The tortelli was absolutely perfect. And don’t skip dessert. Tiramisu gelato is the perfect ending. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a perfect dinner.
P... as in PERFECT
We recently enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Rocca. All around great! Such a pretty dining room - so tastefully appointed at every turn. Bright and smartly styled! Our server was top notch - a gentleman who resembled a young Hugh Grant. He knew the menu (and wine list) like the back of his hand, and made himself completely available to field our questions. We started with the Shrimp Fritti and some of the kitchen's signature breads. Both were outstanding! While waiting for these starters to arrive, our server brought us some type of a Cacio Pepe portion of cheese - compliments of the chef. Delicious. So unique. Our entrees arrived in a timely manner and were presented wonderfully on beautiful plates. The Spaghetti with Crab and Lemon was just perfect in every way! Bravo to the the team at Rocca. Our visit to the restaurant was truly the highlight of our weekend in Tampa. Beyond impressed! The only suggestion I might offer is a friendlier welcome upon arrival. Kind of a random greeting when we walked through the door? This "welcome" (barely a glance) was not at all indicative of the experience we soon enjoyed!
Try it!
Very comfortable environment, with ultimate elevated food and service. In a busy crowded area of town, but very efficient valet service. Food was amazing. One of my best meals ever.
I Expected More from a Michelin-Starred Restaurant
I made a list of 24 things I wanted to do in 2024. One of those things was to dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant, a first for me. The service wasn't "over the top", but it was really good. We ordered the bread service. Two pieces of focaccia and two pieces of toasted sourdough with a lemon butter... it was good, but I felt it should have been included with the meal instead of charging me $6. The Mozzarella Cart ($46) was fabulous, a great presentation and absolutely delicious... but it was too much cheese for just the two of us. Upon hearing the daily specials and being told that the Branzino was shareable and would be completely deboned before being brought to the table, we opted to give it a try... after confirming that I did hear correctly and that all bones would be removed prior to service. My partner's first bite of the fish (taken from the head area of the fish) had several small bones in it. I chose a piece from the tail area and it too, had bones. Nearly every piece of fish we ate had bones. This was NOT Michelin-star preparation. I didn't say anything to the server. I tried not to make a big deal out of it since my partner was already making an issue of the cost of dinner for two people... he felt it was frivolous. But... I was very disappointed with all the bones.
Overhyped.
Bread, blue crab lemon spaghetti and dry aged steak carpaccio were delicious. Mozzarella cart not worth it. It was nothing special. The dry aged Rohan duck was also not worth it, taste was mediocre and dry. Burnt cheesecake was pretty tasteless. Would go back to try the other pastas but overall not impressed.
Had a great birthday dinner here.
Awesome ambiance. The wine selection is good but the martinis were amazing. Can't wait to go back.
Definitely a Michelin star worthy restaurant.
Make sure you make a reservation in advance because they book up quickly. We did the mozzarella cart experience which is pricey but delicious. It was also cool to see how they make it, the warm mozzarella caught me off guard but was yummy. Both pastas I tried were tasty but my favorite was the spaghetti al limone - really light and fresh. For the dessert, the pistachio gelato ice cream was devine. The service was exceptional, our waitress was really attentive and had great attention to detail. They also have a great selection of wines and after drinker drinks. Definitely will be back!
Super delicious!!!! I loved the mezcal & pepper drink.
Cant remember what it was called. The mozzarella cart was absolutely amazing. 15/10. The squid ink pasta with lobster was fab!
Absolutely amazing.
My mom was visiting so of course I had to take her to one of the best restaurants in Tampa. The service was 10/10 every little detail was addressed. Even our napkins, someone would come and fold it for us when they see it on the table. Everyone was super friendly and easy to talk to. Everything that ordered was absolutely delicious. The Mozzarella cart is a must, not your typical caprese salad. The RAVIOLINI Del PLIN was spot on perfection. If I'm nitpicking I would say that the honey in the Pistachio Gelato was not needed also the orange marmalade was a bit too sweet for me. However, it was still one of the best olive oil cakes and pistachio gelatos that I've ever tried. I was notified in the end that everything is made in house. So, props to the chef and his team for maintaining the consistency between each dish, I love that. Overall, I 100% recommend.
The food was really really good.
I loved the SPAGHETTI Al LIMONE. Can't go wrong with butter, crab and pasta. The service was really really really good, such a great experience! The lighting & overall ambiance of Rocca is very elegant and a great atmosphere for date night!
Truly exceptional!!! So deserving of their Michelin star.
The only place I have been that might have better Italian food is in Italy. Everything was impeccably prepared and presented. From the drinks, to the bread (all home made), the pasta and dessert. It truly felt well executed, well balanced and delicious. Love that they use a lot of local ingredients and make almost everything in house. The service was good and attentive. The restaurant is nice and modern, clean. The mozzarella cart is a must. Nice tableside show and you can't get fresher mozzarella. The tomatoes are from Plant City (local) and have never tasted better. The basil is from the chef's mom's garden. The truffle pasta is outstanding. I still think of it. So simple yet So tasty. Highly recommend!
Love their food and our server was great! Will be coming
Love their food and our server was great! Will be coming back! Expreso martini wasn't the best, but the food made everything worth it.
Almost perfect
Wish I could give more than 4 stars - cannot based on my experience. The good - great front of the house on an extremely busy Wednesday 8 PM, got seated promptly. The quality of the food was AMAZING. The bread - sourdough and focaccia - excellent. The tequila cocktail was Ok - wish it was less sweet. The park skewers, carpaccio and the salad were excellent. The main - Wagyu ribeye needs to be served anything but near raw. The quality of Wagyu was better than the other Michelin star in Tampa when it's on their menu. The service was lacking at the kitchen level - long pause/s. Our server was great, somehow don't remember being asked on the cook on the Wagyu - would not have mattered, I go with chef's recommendation. When I visit again, I will be proactive, This was my third visit - other two were prior to them having the star. Solid place. Would recommend.
Every time I go to Rocca I'm impressed.
Besides the fact that I'm obsessed with the ambiance and lighting inside, the dishes and experience is consistently great. We tried some new starters this time. The dry aged steak carpaccio was so fresh you could really tell the quality. The mushroom mix underneath paired with it so well. We also tried the Ora king salmon crudo which I believe is a new item. This dish looked like art and tasted like it too. The salmon was fatty and not fishy whatsoever. Super tender and the mirage of flavors does a dance in your mouth. This really impressed me. For dinner we shared the spaghetti Al limone which is a a lemony crab pasta that we get every time. It's always great- so light and fresh. They had lamb chops on on special for the night so we went for it being big lamb chop fans. Wow this blew us away. They table side pour the sauce one the dish comes out. It's two large chops and they were cooked perfectly medium. The Japanese sweet potato on the side was amazing as well. I would try to order this while they'll running this dish because it's probably my favorite I've had here. As always the service was great, they brought out a cute birthday dessert for my boyfriend as well. Drinks are always good too! Of course- we'll be back.
Wowwww!! I have no words, there was not a single thing here
Wowwww!! I have no words, there was not a single thing here I thought was just OK... Everything was excellent from the food to the service , I can't believe I wanted this long to come here. Definitely a must if you're in the area!
Misleading with Michelin quality
Misleading people with Michellin quality . Feels like at grandma dinnerly. Bread ($6) was to salty and buttery. Carpaccio was so-so, nothing especially . When you order meal remember they share it with all people on the table . We ordered veal ravioli ( no meat inside at all , just spinach and cheese) and veal shank ( they share it also), sauce is bad , everything SOUR, no good taste . There are much better restaurants in Tampa . We won’t go back and don’t recommend to our friends .
Amazing
Rocca absolutely merits its Michelin star rating. Started off with the mozzarella cart, where they make the cheese fresh at your tableside - aside from the entertaining show of this process, the end result is an absolutely delicious caprese salad. The agnolotti with spicy pork and ricotta filling was the best pasta dish I've had in decades, no exaggeration. The spaghetti with blue crab and lemon sauce was light and refreshing, with a very generous amount of crab. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I can wholeheartedly recommend Rocca without hesitation!
Salty food ruins the experience
The whole experience at Rocca was underwhelming and disappointing. Still, the quality of food was superior than most local restaurants. We ordered one pasta dish, the tortello, and it was excellent. The branzino was very salty but the spices and seasoning were very good. Too much salt ruined the experience. Ambience was pretty average. It felt crowded and noisy. Staff and service were also very average.
Maybe the most pleasant fine dining experience we have had.
A colleague from Tampa recommended Rocca and I plan to email her a big Thank You! The entire experience was delightful (other than getting a parking ticket). The food was spectacular and our waiter (Taylor) was top notch, as were all the serving staff. We love the atmosphere/ambience. Taylor was a sommelier in training and helped us select a lovely wine to enjoy with dinner. He also recommended various dishes on the menu and explained how they were made from the bread to the shiitake mushroom wraps. Parking is a challenge, however. The ParkMobile app is required unless you pay at the machine on the curb (which wasn't working). We couldn't get the app to work for us either so we risked it and lost - $30. I'm going to appeal it). A wonderful evening overall!
Excellent experience
Spectacular service and dishes. The table side mozzarella is a treat but best for a group of 3 or more. We had a family of 5 and all the dishes were all well prepared. We normally do not order desserts but made an exception here and really glad we did. Few desserts top the pistachio gelato. Highly recommend giving Rocco a try, but make sure you have a reservation.
Excellent food, smaller portions but enough
Overall great food. The table side Mozarella is not to be missed. Smaller servings but equally tasty. We tried everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. The wine list was stellar and the sommelier was a great help.

Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I’m sorry to hear about this - I’m a brand new seller on the platform and didn’t realize this was a *thing* - any chance you can point me to the fine print/documentation where this policy is stated (also identifying other caveats like this would be appreciated)?
