It’s a must if you are a foodie.
Although can be pricey, it’s worth every penny. Jules Verne Restaurant on the 2nd Floor of the Le Tour Eiffel is beyond amazing. 1) The View is spectacular and they have a private door out to the 2nd floor viewing platform you can visit after your meal. And they give you a code to come back into the restaurant when done. 2) There is a private Elevator at one southeast pillar of the Eiffel Tower. You do not need to get a ticket to go up to the restaurant. The ground floor is free entrance, just have to go thru security. Doors to restaurant at elevator do not open till 12:00pm. 3) The Tasting menu is outstanding. If you have never been to a Michelin Star restaurant, you must once in your life. Every dish is exquisite, you can taste every ingredient in a dish and they taste in harmony. Very hard to explain but it’s so good. 4) The Service is out of this world! The staff from being greeted at the door, escorted up to the restaurant, greeted by a cloak room person to take your hat, jacket, bag, whatever to hold for you. I actually had no battery on my cell and the restaurant was kind enough to recharge my cell for me. Everything you could possibly need, they will provide. It’s the ultimate in service. We went for lunch at 12pm and I don’t think left before 2:30pm . We had the 7 course menu and although dishes are small in US standards, you will be full before the 7th dish. We were beyond full we could not have another bite. Even after desert, more goodies are supplied (chocolates) and they also give you a parting gift. Again it’s the ultimate…can’t speak enough good things about this amazing restaurant. Tipping is included (but we did add a little more as the service was just THAT GOOD). Drinks/Cocktails are additional. If you are on the fence about going, don’t hesitate. We are foodies so this was one of our biggest highlights while in Paris.

This restaurant lives up to the hype and its 2 Michelin Stars which is rare for a restaurant that does as many covers as this one does in a day. 2-3 Michelin Stars are usually reserved for smaller restaurants that can really focus on service, quality and innovation. However, here there is ample staff, you are waited on hand and foot and the quality of the cuisine is excellent. They satisfied my request for a North-East view of the City over Montmartre to the Notre Dame Cathedral. We were waited on by the head Sommelier and in that I am graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu Institutes wine program, him and I had a robust discussion on various wines ( including the one that will be mentioned later in this review) and the one we picked, a GERIN Cote-Rotie 2020 at 120 Euro. Well you might ask, with all the previous accolades, why would I rate the restaurant average. Well when the bill came, in my usual nonchalantness, I just paid the 1850 Euro for 4 without questioning it. As we sat sipping coffee at the end of the meal, I thought I would take a look at the bill because it seemed, in retrospect, to be a little high. Well the Sommelier ( who was no where to be found now) had slipped into the bill a wine from Loire that him and I had discussed before I chose the Cote-Rotie. Well that wine was 450 Euro. A difference of 300+ Euro. I brought this to the attention of the server who insisted that was the bottle of wine I ordered per their system but fortunately, I had taken a picture of the bottle we received and showed it to them, to their mortified look. I suspect the sommelier took the 450 E bottle for his cellar and replaced the Cote-Rotie hoping no one would notice. Anyway, then it took another 45 minutes for them to unwind the transaction and needless to say it was a most unpleasant experience in the end.

It’s a very orchestrated Disney like operation. Each staff has a specific task they have memorized and run thru like a robot but they really don’t care about any human interactions because they would divert from their prescribed course. The disgenuine servers recite their lines and had quite a bit of attitude if interrupted. Felt like an institution stuck in time.. The serve staff send vibes of being over it and bored(cannot blame them).. Food is good but not excellent compared to other Micheline star eateries.
Be the first to ReplyBest address in Paris if you want to treat yourself to something special
Booking via the website is easy and straightforward, but you pay the full price of the menu when you make the reservation to avoid loss of earnings. Emails about table and other requests often only receive standardized replies. However, our requests were met, which we were very pleased about. What you can expect from arriving at the Eiffel Tower and afterwards is anything but standard: The best, now 2-star cuisine with excellent service in one of the most beautiful places in the world! For us, this is the best restaurant in Paris with the most beautiful view - certainly not cheap and suitable for everyone and every day, but if you want to treat yourself to something special, then this is definitely the place to go!

We enter this restaurant with inevitably a little emotion... The reception is well organized with full support from the moment you arrive at the foot of the pillar. There is a bit of a wait at the private elevator, but upon arrival in the room, the view is magnificent! As for the meal, the 7-course menu allows you to navigate between lobster, langoustine, morel, turbot and others... A very good level even if there is little originality. The cooking and flavors are perfect. The sommelier gives good advice. The service is pleasant, but seems over-the-top. Not being used to it, the obligatory wearing of a jacket prevented me from fully enjoying the first part of the meal: so I then took it off. I understand that proper attire is required in such a restaurant, but wearing a jacket is anachronistic for me. One negative point, however: while the arrival is very organized, we are left to our own devices for the departure. No support in the elevator, a closed gate that must be opened when arriving at the bottom... A small area of improvement therefore! But despite this, for epicureans, such a meal should be made at least once!

Very beautiful setting, very pleasant and attentive staff and a magnificent view. In addition, the weather was good. What luck !
Be the first to ReplyA highlight of our Paris trip.
The Jules Verne Restaurant is AH mazing! Not only is the view spectacular, the food is so incredible. The service and attention to every need is accommodated. There is a tasting menu for $155pp, a 5 course menu for $255 and 7 course (?). Tip is included but extra is appreciated. Alcohol is extra too. But it’s worth every penny.

This is a restaurant with a sense of hospitality! I wanted to book for 9 guests. Jules Verne's response is the obligatory privatization of a private lounge for 7,500 euros and a bill for 5-course meals for 19 people. We will do without their service and find a Michelin-starred restaurant in Paris that will be delighted to welcome us. Absolutely avoid.

What an incredible dining experience! Definitely recommend the 7 course tasting menu - my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed all the courses. Congrats to the chef and staff on their well deserved second Michelin star!!

From the moment we booked to the moment we left, this experience - for us - is unmatched. A celebration on our honeymoon, impeccable service, friendly staff that were completely patient with two Aussies that can’t speak French, a menu that delighted and surprised, we couldn’t have asked for more. If you eat at Michelin restaurants regularly you may have a different opinion, but for us we would recommend anyone in Paris for a special occasion to consider dining here. Thank you to the whole team at Le Jules Vern for making our night special.
