We ate here in June 2022 and had an outstanding meal.
Three seafood dishes: the sea bass ceviche, grilled octopus and a tuna tataki noodle dishe were each with unique and satisfying flavors. Topped it off with sublime chocolate. Service was impeccable.

We hoped on the train from Becerlona to Girona today and happened to notice this restaurant. We came without reservation, but were luckily called back by the waitress because someone cancelled. It turns out to be one of the best and most creative reaturants I have tried in Spain-- with a reasonable price. I enjoy the idea of taking Japanese, Thai and Chinese cooking elements into seafood making. The staff are nice and helpful. Windful dinner. Suggestion: try Gourmet menu (59 euros for the whole meal)!

We dined at Nu in March of this year and had a great experience. ย The food was delicious. The service was a little off but I'm not sure if that is because there was a little bit of a language barrier. Servers seemed like they were new. No pun intended. Our favorite dish was the steak tartar. My only criticism of it was that it was a bit too much on the plate (I know, weird to say that but it was overwhelming). ย We also really enjoyed the scallops dish we had and the octopus. Overall, this was a great dinner spot to close out our amazing experience in Girona.

Wanted to try something new when in Girona last week and upon the advice of the hotel staff at Hotel Nord. I gave this a try. I did the tasting menu with wine paring. The food is very creative and delicious. Plating is beautifully executed. ย The wine paring is well done as well. But where are the chop sticks? This restaurant doesn't use them preferring to give its patrons what looked like oversized tweezers but were in fact plating tongs. This tainted what was otherwise a great experience and detracted from a more authentic experience. I found the ย tools more difficult to work with than traditional chop sticks. Nu should have had chop sticks available upon request. ย Additionally it looks like they don't use expected ingredients with a radish being used in one dish where a Daikon radish would have been more authentic. The one failed dish at my dinner was the desert, which was basically corn flakes with a dash of chocolate. After having absolutely fantastic dishes up to that point the gross desert ruined the experience. The combination of a failed desert and lack of chop-sticks resulted in four stars where I would have awarded five

We stumbled across this Michelin recommended spot while wandering around Girona looking for a dinner spot. It was about 15 minutes before they closed the kitchen so they were able to seat us without a reservation. We were unfortunately too late for the tasting menu but sampled as many of the menu items as we could. The cuttlefish rice was a personal favorite, along with the unusual take on ceviche that included blackberry gelato. The value is unbeatable - can't recommend it enough!
Be the first to ReplyNice ambience.
We got the tasting menu for about 60 Euros. They were very accommodating of the food restrictions. Presentation was average. Food was good, but not great. Amuse Bouche:cassava chips with sauce.Parmesan cheese cookieCourse 1:Cured sardine with caviar and hamCourse 2:Pappadum with guacamole and tomato emulsion Course 3:Foie gras with banana ice cream and chocolate crumbles. Food with restriction was kind of boiled tomato filled with anchovies paste. (See picture)Course 4:Quail with sundried tomatoes. The other dish was a couple of smooth cod frittersCourse 5:King prawn tempura with mayonnaise foam. This was alright. Too oily and not much flavor.Course 6:Tuna tatami with berry mix. Excellent texture.Course 7:Scallop on to of fancy mashed potato. Other dish was some fish that tasted like monkfish, cooked country style with slabs of garlic potatoes Dessert 1:Peanut butter mouse with chocolate crumbles and caramel roasted peanutsDessert 2:Cheese parfaitCoffee was great. Recommend Divinum over this restaurant if you have not been there.
Be the first to ReplyThis was perhaps the best restaurant meal I have ever had.
If you can afford the prefix menus with the wine paring do it. It is the most amazing 7 course meal ever. The chief is a true artist. His ability to bring a flavor explosion to your mouth with every dish is astounding. The wines are wonderful. And our waiter Andy had a great way about him that was very appealing. In addition he had an in depth knowledge of the wines of the region. We paid about 170 euros for our meal. I would expect to pay about $500 for the same kind of meal in California. Do it. Go for it. Worth every penny.

Super!!!! Every bite is an experience! I recommend the Ceviche, Sardines (amazing amazing) Octopus - starters and then Scallops for main course! Best dinner in Girona!
Be the first to ReplySmall portions but big on flavor.
By the time you finish your desert, you will be pleasantly full and smiling ear-to-ear. ย Top items we had were the octopus for our appetizer and the scallops as our entree. The anchovies were also top-notch and served with a sorbet and assorted dried fruits which gave the dish a multitude of textures and flavors. We will definitely return!!!

The portions are small but the food was very tasty and delicious. The prices were reasonable. Most of the items were ย 17-20 โฌ for the main dish which is much less that you would pay for a similar quality food in the US. ย The place looks nice and clean with a twist of contemporary design.
