Not your average neighborhood restaurant
We were introduced to this restaurant when the chef/owner was featured at a French-owned bistro in our town (US). The meal he prepared there was spectacular, so we looked up his family of restaurants when we came to Paris. On our first night, we wanted someplace casual, but with great food, and "Noon" was the perfect choice. Each of us tried a different starter and plat, arguing over whose was best. My razor clams were tender and flavorful in a broth of onions, capers, and olives. The pork cheeks with lentils was succulent and flowery, thanks to the kombawa lime and other seasonings. The other dishes were equally imaginative, fresh, and delicious, including the generous "sides" (we ordered mashed potatoes, green salad, and ratatouille). We ended our meals happily by sharing two desserts, the apple crumble and ile flottante. The service was friendly and attentive. If we were staying in Paris longer, we'd definitely return!

Used to come here when we lived in Paris. Was fine. But back now and found it had become a tourist destination. I'd say 80-90% of the clientele were older Anglos, mainly retired Americans. Of course they have to eat but don't kid yourself--this is not a Parisian restaurant anymore but a tourist haunt. The food was pretty ordinary too. I won't be back sorry to say and suggest you don't either unless of course you're an older American looking for company. I think like many restaurants in Paris this place was once good. Then it became well known. And then it became financially advantageous to cater to the tourist trade and with that lost whatever it had that had made it a good place to go.
Be the first to ReplyGo Early or Late, But Not during Peak Hours
I had a great meal here and a bad meal here so averaged out the two experiences. The difference? The kitchen could not handle a full capacity restaurant last night. Both of us had pasta dishes. Both came out al DURO, not al dente. When I told the waitress they had not been cooked long enough she did not understand. Neither did she show concern that one of us left a half full plate of pasta. This restaurant advertises the pasta to be fresh made. My ravioli were industrial; the ricotta filling had no seasoning. It was straight ricotta in machine made ravioli. I am finished with being polite about restaurant meals. Yes, it goes against my personality but in the future I am sending food back to the kitchen.
Be the first to ReplyI left in tears
I have been to this restaurant several times. I went today for a late lunch - was feeling a bit blue and wanted something to pick me up. When I arrived, after 2, there was a wait, which I was happy to do. about 30 min later they brought in 3 tables - two couples on either side of me. The server went to order drinks from both couples, completely ignoring me. He brought these tables drinks, water, bread and ordered their food. About 15 min after seating they brought me a menu...then I waited another 15 min to order my wine....at that point I started to cry. Feeling ignored, invisible, I put on my sunglasses - waited for me food and tried to make the best of it. My food arrived - and waited for the bread, and dressing for the salad. The food was good as always, I had a carpaccio salad, a glass of wine from a curated list, some fresh fruit, and a coffee. But the service was horrible. I wish my french was better - I do try - and I am travelling as a single woman (on business). I am not sure what I did to offend and I will never know. The food in this restaurant is wonderful and I am sure that if the owner or management reads this they will dismiss the behaviour because of the fact that the restaurant was so full. I paid my bill ($50E), left a small tip and went on my way. I dont think I have ever cried at a restaurant, but this was just so obvious that they did not want to serve a single woman that didn't speak french fluently.

Very happy with the entire experience๐
From the delicious creamy burrata and Parma jam plate to the exquisite pasta with beef cheeks, great tiramisu and panna cotta all dipped down with a Nebbiolo . Not cheap ie 150โฌ for two but great experience
Such a good time!
We had the best time, and the best meal of our trip at this wonderful little restaurant. I had the ravioli with artichokes and it was my favorite meal in Paris. The staff were delightful and very competent. We were the very first people there. In fact, it wasnโt open when we got there (we are Americans and we tend to go out earlier than the rest of the world), but because we were old women, they opened up (1 minute) early for us. The restaurant filled up quickly and spirits were high. I highly recommend this placeโฆit was delicious and fun!
Be the first to ReplyWorth it in every way
A previous review criticized the failure to check the mandatory passes sanitaires for COVID vax and the crowded conditions in this tiny restaurant this month and both things are true, but the people of Paris are vigilant, and after an initial oops moment, any concern passed as the clientele is sophisticated and thoughtful of each other, the service is brusque but precise and warm, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is REAALLLLY good. Yes, it would be nice if theyโd removed one or two tables but then, we would likely not have been able to return to an old favorite of long standing on a busy, rainy Saturday night. Vive la France Italien.
Be the first to ReplyMy favourite restaurant for the last 15 years
I have been coming here for the last 15 years whenever I am in Paris. The food is great, it is family run, and I recommend it. Yes, it is pricey but for the location, atmosphere and of course the food it is worth it.
Be the first to ReplyUnacceptably squeezed: AVOID
The owners tend to reply how unfair and unexpected the critical reviews are... in all fairness our experience was not ALL bad because the waiters are friendly and efficient and the food is decent (without being extraordinary) though quite pricey. The reason I recommend you stay away is that one
is squeezed worse than in a rush hour RER, and without masks! It is also scandalous that the passe sanitaire was not required. I was not asked for mine and I did not see a single customer being requested to show it. Maybe the manager should have a
meal here and see how she or he likes to smell the body odors of neighbors, get
their spit in your glass etc. My suggestion to the management: take out every second table, for the time being.
