Just amazing - faultless !!!!
We’ve not been before so pre-Covid apparently we would have been in the restaurant. On our confirmation telephone call it was mentioned we’d be in the bar. Ok so obviously the bar isn’t as lavish but to be fair, the food, experience and service was so wonderful it really didn’t matter. Our temperature was taken on arrival. The service by EVERY member of staff was just wonderful. Sometimes people underestimate how much this can add to someone’s experience. All wore masks but obviously such a shame we couldn’t see their smiles but the eyes had it, all were so friendly and probably the best service we’ve ever experienced. We’ve been to many Michelin restaurants so we do know good service but the service here is just totally faultless. Helpful, kind, attentive, informative and professional and just genuinely lovely people. Food!! Oh my!! Apart from 2 items which is only down to my own personal dislike, everything was amazing. The cheese doughnuts with Parmesan are to die for. It was my birthday and I was given a personalised birthday hand written card and a lovely parfait candle with chocolate soil. Such a lovely touch. Popped to the loos, spotless and very opulent. You will not leave here hungry!! There is a massive amount of food and we are pretty big eaters!! Most afternoon teas usually just have sandwiches as the savoury option. Here you get many savoury bites. Lots and lots of cakes and desserts....and then freshly baked warm scones!!!! A beautiful string hat box will house anything you wish to take home. Currently enjoying my Dundee cake with a cuppa whilst writing this ;-) Absolutely loved it and would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyAfternoon Tea...in the bar
We booked a reservation for Afternoon Tea at The Cadogan. We were told the day before that we would be in the bar. Reluctantly we went. This turned out to be a great thing.
The tea service was great. There was a large selection of teas. The food was similarly excellent - but there was a lot of it for two. The chicken liver mousse in a jar was really good (and that is not something we would ever intentionally order). The sandwiches were solid and the desserts great.
The service was over the top good. Really attentive and helpful service throughout our time. We stayed for awhile and began to order drinks from the bar. I always like throwing down the bartender challenges - make me your best old fashioned or make me a memorable gin and tonic - the bar staff was excellent and did not disappoint.
The décor was a classic bar. It is in the impeccable The Cadogan in Chelsea. Beautiful location and well appointed.
Overall this was a great experience. Really enjoyed it.
Anniversary Dinner
Everything about this place was exceptional!
From first walking in and being greated by the friendly front of house staff and the great bar staff!
We felt really welcomed and looked after!
The food was amazing!
The doughnut cheese balls were a real highlight!
We both had a fillet steak which was probably the best we've ever tasted!
We would like to say a big thank you to Dom who looked after us and made our anniversary here special!
I would highly recommend this restaurant and we can't wait to return soon!

Amazing Food and Service
The title says it all. Ate at Adam Handling and the food was absolutely brilliant, the staff were friendly and accommodating, as were the chefs. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting London, the steak just melted in my mouth beautifully, as did the millionaire chips
Be the first to ReplyGreat Birthday Dinner
Booked by my wife as a birthday present, we made our way from the Blue Bar at the Berkeley Hotel for dinner on a Saturday evening.
On arrival we were shown straight to our table which had a birthday card waiting for me, walking past the open kitchen. After being seated, my wife asked if was possible to move to the table opposite the kitchen, a kind of Chef's table, and we were instantly moved.
The location of the table enabled us to speak with the chef's and get their personal recommendations for dinner. A couple of little treats came out from the kitchen such as cheese doughnuts which were exceptional.
After speaking with the female chef, I ordered the signature "Mother" starter topped with truffle, which proved to be a real delight as I would not normally order a vegetarian dish in a restaurant.
The main courses were good, although my rack of lamb was undercooked. The chef's had overheard me commenting to my wife and started cooking a fresh dish before I could voice my concern to the waiting staff.
After a short wait and top up of my wine, the replacement dish arrived and was excellent. My wife had ordered Turbot for her main which was also excellent.
Despite saying that we were too full for desert, a plate of desert arrived at the table "on the house". Not being a desert person, I was really surprised at how light they were.
A great night with some great food, the highlight being the "Mother" dish, combined with a engaging experience sat at the Chef's table!!
Excellent experience
We really enjoyed our dining experience here. The decor was lovely and the service was exceptional. We went for the Sunday lunch option. The bread served and starters were very much excellent fine dining quality as were the desserts. The main course beef Wellington was amazing. If I’m being picky the side vegetables were nice but maybe not as outstanding as everything else. It was a brilliant dining experience and it’s definitely somewhere we will return to soon! Would recommend and we’re hoping to get to his other restaurant in Covent Garden very soon.

My friends and I visited the restaurant in Chelsea over the weekend and we were looked after by Domenico and Mateo.
Domenico in particular, made our first visit more enjoyable as he is so friendly; has good humour and banter. Mateo is very attentive. So cute.
We each had a beef-burger and we sampled their millionaire-chips, which are insanely delicious.
Domenico, took the time to show me around, and I saw the different sections of the restaurant. What a Lovely place filled with people who all seem so friendly and respectful.
We will be returning very soon! Thank you to the whole Team!
Didn't live up to expectations
The first thing to mention is that this restaurant is in a hotel and the dining area (past the open kitchen area ) isn't up to much. It doesn't make you feel like you are in a special place, there is music in the background from the bar and the tables look, well, not very special.
The menus look like a bit like cafe menus - A5 folded, which seems like a really trivial thing to say but when you are paying Michelin star prices you expect something more polished.
The food was pricey (which we expected). The starters were around the £20+ mark. the main courses £30- £40 (more for some steak.dishes) but then you need a side dish to make the main course complete and these were an extra £6. All good but I think they could have thought a bit better about this way of doing things. The £20 Tarte tatin wasn't great unfortunately. Didn't look anything like one and was tiny and was served alongside a very odd fennel dish which didn't go at all.
The service was efficient.
It was all just not special. The food was largely very good but didn't have any wow factor and for nearly £300 for two of us didn't feel like it was worth it. I would rather go to somewhere like Core or Five Fields and spend £50/£100 more and have a really fabulous experience.
Sorry, not for us.
Unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations
We were given a voucher for £200, a Christmas present for the Sunday Afternoon Brunch with unlimited alcohol. Sadly due to Covid we had to cancel reservations made earlier in the year.
We rebooked for August but received an email to advise the brunch was no longer being offered.
We decided to treat ourselves and go for the a la carte menu in the restaurant on a Saturday evening.
Unfortunately we were underwhelmed by both the food and the service.
When you are charging premium prices expectations are very high.
£15 for two coffees seems extortionate to top it off and we had thought a nice touch would have been to offer these as a gesture for cancelling the unlimited brunch.
Having eaten in several mitchelin star restaurants we thought this fell short, presentation, no amuse bouch, staff seemed rather frantic. Sadly I don’t think we will return.
Delightful afternoon tea
Had a wonderful afternoon tea with my girlfriend, had a lovely greeting, shown to the table started with 2 glasses of Adams own label bubbles, the afternoon came out, there was an impressive selection of savouries, I especially enjoyed the samosas and my girlfriend loved the croquettes! Then we moved on to the sweets we loved the mix of classic and contemporary treats, the carrot cake was the lightest fluffiest Ive ever eaten, scones were buttery and light too, although we were fairly stuffed by then, the tea selection is well rounded and we both had a lovely white tea. The service was attentive but not intrusive, I would highly recommend
