The Remington tavern is located in a beautiful area of Tonawanda on the water near the Niagara River. During the summer time this can be a extremely busy place and being from the area I know how that can for any restaurant. But the Remington tavern was able to impress with excellent service and food. We had reservations and we did not have any trouble getting seated. The menu was diverse and the food absolutely done to perfection.

We went to the Remington Tavern last night to celebrate one of our employees birthday. We had the lobster bolonaise and chicken milanese. Both were excellent! Also tried the clams casino and shrimp cocktail as an app and were very impressed. The ambiance and service was top notch and the food prep was outstanding. Thanks for a great night out!

I met friends at your restaurant 4/27/24 as Id heard a lot about. My friend recently lost his wife, I was meeting his new friend. We started with drinks, she had oysters. Steaks, salmon, dessert later, we chatted after dinner. The food was decent, nice atmosphere, so we thought. While chatting the bill was presented- he paid, we continued chatting while he finished his drink and dessert. After we were done I noticed the servers continue to come to our table to "clear" plates and glasses. We were talking, probably 20 minutes after our dinner was complete and our waiter, Dave, who was accommodating approached, asking if we lived in the area; none of us do but we go to restaurants all over. He handed us an envelope, said he was sorry but told us he needed our table "10 minutes ago." I have never been asked to leave an establishment that had no set time limits and Ive traveled the world. While his attempt to slide us a gift certificate to numb be kicked out of your restaurant were valiant, it didnt work. Ive never in my life encountered anything like that, ever. Not to mention, being the only table of color - what a terrible way to end the night of what started off so well. I have friends who've recommended your restaurant; this was my first and last time. Its shameful being asked to leave a restaurant, especially when we were enjoying ourselves. I dont know if its your norm, if it is, it shouldn't be. What an awful practice and an even more awful way to end our evening.
Easter brunch.
Food choices were great, GREAT shrimp creole. Drink service a little slow, but considering how busy the restaurant was and how few staff they had (the new norm) it wasn't horrible. Great food, drink, ambiance :)
Apps were great they came out in 5 m afterwe ordered .
I got the truffle fries and they were really good. It also came with this Smokey sauce which paired well with the fries. I also got the filet mignon with the demiglase the steak was charred and sweet it was very good. Along with my food reviews the service was good waitress was kind and friendly. I also got a crème brûlée for dessert it was Phenomenal. Overall I enjoy this place I highly recommend.

Oysters are always fresh, Pike fingers are a great appetizer. Great specials, fun atmosphere- great in the summer to eat outside.

I have 4 major food allergies and they changed their clams and steak for me. Pretty damned chill place! Service was superb.
This is my fourth time having dinner at Remington Tavern.
The first three times, the food was considerably better than it was this evening, but the portions were quite small. I can tolerate small portions if the food is really excellent. This time, the portions were much larger, but the quality substantially lower. The fish fry was greasy, the Parmesan truffle french fries were not hot, the fried calamari was also greasy. The lobster bisque Remains excellent. The wait staff are excellent, knowledgeable, and well trained on how to serve food and beverages. They have a full bar with extensive whiskey offerings, which served my party of four very well. If not for the excellence of the cuisine on prior occasions, I would have awarded two stars for this last visit.

This place was absolutely amazing!! Mmmmuuuaahhhh! Fantastique!!!! Superb!! Flawless!! Remington Tavern gives Giancarlo's in Amherst a run for their money - FOR SURE!!! If I can now set the atmosphere of mouthwatering, tantalizing, perfectly seasoned, salty yet tender ribeye which was the highlight of our meal.... It was just out of this world. My husband and I made reservations to try Remington based on some fantastic reviews on Yelp. Let me tell you it did not disappoint in any facet of the imagination. Atmosphere in side room where we dined was quiet and intimate. A peaceful removal from a hectic day. The service was exemplary - our waiter was very attentive and kind. Both of our meals were spectacular. I want to specifically call out the Blackened ribeye with Gorgonzola butter accompanied with garlic mashed and brussels sprouts. Let me just say..... I have never had a steak disintegrate and melt in my mouth like the one delivered to our table at the Remington Tavern. There was no need for a knife. You could literally flake off pieces of this ribeye because it was so tender and juicy and flavorful.. The steak melted in your mouth. I told my husband and our family and friends that I can honestly say I think this is the BEST steak I have ever tasted in my life! We enjoy frequenting fine dining establishments and have experienced many different culinary offerings--this was by far literally the best steak. It was that perfect. Just top notch! No other way to explain it. We had clams which were very tasty as a pre-dinner appetite prelude. My husband had Chilean Sea Bass, and we ordered salads as well and they were just huge! Honestly, a meal in and of themselves. Overall, everything from the Grey Goose martinis to the clams to the salad to the steak & bass to dessert was magnificent. My husband and I have both been talking about returning back soon to Remington to try their other menu items, which I'm sure will be just as tasty. Can't wait to visit again!!! A++++++
From classy to classless.
I wrote a very positive review in August of 2018. We frequent this restaurant on a regular basis as it has always been a favorite. Last night, we went for Valentines night with another couple who have gone regularly as well. Unfortunately our friend is hard of hearing so I usually ask for a corner table. This evening started as wonderful as usual. However, I wondered why they were playing loud rock n roll music on Valentines night. We went to the bar, had some drinks, bartenders were friendly as usual. The hostess then took us to a corner table that had a speaker above our heads, and the table was extremely wobbly. I went up to speak to her and told her that table wouldn't work for us with music being so loud. Our friend would never be able to hear. So she said they could put us in the side room where they aren't playing music. Well, it was being played in there just as loud. People were screaming over each other just to talk. I asked our waiter if he could talk to the manager about it. Well, nothing happened. Finally, i couldn't take it anymore and went to speak to the manager. First, I asked him who picked this music, he said he did, and they were known as a rock and roll restaurant. Hmmm funny. i didn't know or ever hear that. I asked for softer music, perhaps a frank sinatra style. He said no but would turn it off in our room, which he did. Our server was very good, food was not, steak was fatty and tough. Needless to say. a very disappointing evening and dont know if we'll go back. side note..i love classic rock. Totally my era, but not on Valentines when trying to a have a beautiful night out with friends. Turns out when my husband went to work today another colleague was there and said they had to move 3 times and hated how loud it was. Manager was very arrogant. This is a beautiful and classy restaurant, as well as expensive. People expect high end. Extremely disappointed!
The mahi was okay but served with cold couscous.
This means it was cooked previously and was not fresh.The medium rare steak was overdone and was 50% fat. This place is overrated. I will not go to Hutchs or Tempo as the owners are their chefs. Those two chefs are taking advantage. The bill was $250, including the tip totaled 300 dollars. Find another spot

Upscale restaurant, dinning upper level noisy, difficult for conversation, service. Food fair, cocktails expensive Manhattan $12, charged extra $3 return drink from rocks to up. Overall dissatisfied costly dinner (9) with family. No free parking available on street, valet extra$.
Great food and atmosphere best seafood in the area.
They have a great raw bar large selection of oysters that change often.

Anniversary dinner- perfect! Freshest oysters, champagne , great seafood entree, and “ best fish fry” my husband ever had. Great spot for dressy casual or more dressed up. Good vibe, great food and service
Food was good.
Ambiance good. Service attentive but lacking. I ordered crab cake with a salad and 3 scallops as my main entree. I was served 3 scallops and salad with salad dressing on the side. Never received crab cake after waiting for a long period of time. Inquired. Told it was broken during baking. Finally received it. Asked for take home packaging. They threw my salad out and only packaged scallops and crab cake for my doggie bag. Why would they throw out my main entree but pack up my husband's fries and coleslaw? Doesn't make sense. Won't return.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
