Delicious ramen
You can customise the taste of the soup and noodles to your liking. The soup base is super thick and delicious. The noodles are nice and soft. The place is a little space and can be a bit stuffy.

Quite an interesting place and pretty popular, with long queues waiting outside the rather small eatery. They provide cold drinks while you wait, which is a blessing in hot weather.
The bottles of soda that are made by the chain are not as good though. We had the yuzu and wasabe ginger versions, and both were rather bland. We could not taste any wasabi, while my wife said the yuzu drink was like watered down kickapoo.
Foodwise, it was better. The gyoza was worth waiting 25 minutes for, being full of flavor. My wife said her ramen was just okay, though I enjoyed my black ramen with flavored egg. They also provide hard boiled eggs for customers FOC. We also liked the bean sprouts and the sesame seeds that you can decide how fine you want to grind it to.
Overall, the meal for two was @$48, which was a tad pricey for the place and location. Overall it was a good dinner for me.
Do note they accept cash or NETs only.
My usual spot
There are few places in Singapore I call my usual spots as I donโt feel the kind of affinity I do with my neighbourhood joints in the other cities. But this is close enough. We come here for the hearty tonkotsu broth and itโs not the best but itโs comforting enough. Big bowls of ramen, free flow eggs and bean sprouts. Kids eat for free weekends so itโs even better! Mind you, I am on a no to Low carb diet so I ask for ramen to be omitted. The only snag is the queue as the eatery is elbow to elbow tiny. But it all adds to the charm.

One of the 2 Tonkotsu King ramen outlet in Singapore, we tried the outlet at Tanjong Pagar many years back and loved it. This outlet at Paya Lebar didn't fail to disappoint! The pork broth was extremely tasty, the noodles cooked just right to the texture you request for. Tender and large piece of char siew to curb your cravings and paired with perfectly onsen egg. We also topped it up with pork belly, which gave extra flavor to the overall experience. All these for only $17.90.
Every table comes with free-flow spicy beansprout and hard-boiled eggs. My kids were thrilled because they were huge egg lovers. Both couldn't resist and they each had 2 of them.
Furthermore, kids below 10 gets a free bowl of ramen. Don't be tricked by the small bowl, it came with full of noodles and plenty of meat cubes. Even the kids enjoyed the broth.
However, the place is rather small and squeezy, it's not exactly a place for a big group to chill and hang out. And if you arrive after 6.30, do be prepared to join a long queue of hungry people. Don't expect extremely good service, the customers go eat and go really quickly. But the service were satisfactory enough for us, they were friendly in advising and guiding us in our ordering.
