Worth it for a quick sit down meal.
A nice spot for a good cheeseburger or a large salad. Close to the tender pier. Drinks are slightly on the small side, but tasty and reasonably priced.

I had expected a great meal, because many people had suggested Quins to us. My husband ordered the hamburger with the grilled pineapple and it was wonderful. I figured I couldn’t go wrong by ordering fish tacos. They were not good at all! The tortilla around them was tough and dry, the fish was grilled and dry. None of it was good. I love fish tacos, but didn’t care to finish these. So, basically, don’t order the fish tacos when you go there.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food - huge portions - reasonable prices
Wonderful Ono fish and chips. Portion was huge - one platter was enough for two adults. Waitress was super friendly and helpful. Truly a bargain: lower prices than the Jersey shore and Fort Lauderdale areas.

Underwhelming food. Great prices. Great server! Best thing we ordered was the fried zucchini and onion rings. Everything else was not the greatest. Would not eat here again. Portions are huge coupled with moving ate a lot so we ended up with four boxes of food I doubt we are going to eat!
Be the first to ReplyVery good food in a small relaxed restaurant.
The Ahi fish and chips was the I’ve ever had. My wife had Mahi Mahi which was also excellent. Prices are reasonable, as the menu ranges from sandwiches and burgers to various seafood dinners. This is not a fancy place, just good food and decent friendly service. The name is accurate, they’re about a block from the sea.

Service was great…our waiter was honest about the portion sizes being generous, so we shared an order of fish/chips (Ono fish) & a side of veggies (hand cut that morning by the kitchen staff). The fish was more than enough for us & very good. Hubby had a beer & I had a not-so-great cocktail…just tasted a bit diluted. It’s fairly close to the cruise ship “port”, so very convenient for those coming in for the day, We just walked to town from our accommodations, which was easy enough.

Amazing food and drinks. Huge portions. The buffalo sauce was nice and spicy. Had the chicken sandwich, fish and chips and chicken tenders. Great food for everyone

This restaurant is very busy so plan ahead. They have some parking on-sight but will also cover parking at a lot across the street. We ordered the egg rolls, steak sandwich and monte cristo and it was all very good. The steak was so tender. It is located on Ali'i Dr but not close to the main shopping but worth the drive.

Full house on a Sunday around 1 pm. I had the tuna sandwich and onion rings. My sister had the magi-magi tuna sandwich with Hawaiian slaw. The tables were under staffed. Almost got our orders right. Enjoyed my sandwich and her magi-magi was outstanding. Didn’t quite “get” the dip for the onion rings—too mayonnaisy! No pretenses here. Busy with sports screens and enthusiastic fans.

Had lunch on July 28th with my cousin Terry and her friends at Quinn’s Almost By The Sea. Paid $80 in cash for. $71.02 bill and told the waitress to keep the change. Upon looking at my credit card, I was charged for the same lunch that I already paid cash for. Spent a lot of money from July 24-28 at Quinn’s because the food, people, and atmosphere are great! Just disappointed that I paid twice for the same bill. My recommendation is to pay by credit card so payment made to the bill can be disputed. - Natalie Bartlett

Six of us went there for dinner while I was visiting my friends in Kona. I had the Ono fish and chips and was the first time I had ever had Ono. It was very tasty! Loved the big steak fries. Service was excellent! Our waitress really took good care of us! Enjoyed the atmosphere in the outdoor patio! Would love to go back one day again!

Had lunch with hubby and another couple (tourists) who like the place. Had to wait at least 20 minutes for an outside table at 2 pm--too noisy inside. It used to have a good fish sandwich. This time the ono fish was overcooked--like shoe leather; the bun was stale. My husband had the same problem with his sandwich. Pineapple slaw was OK; french fries very good. Service was wonderful--Katherine was friendly, helpful and efficient.
Be the first to ReplyGood food. Great patio
No view of the water, like so many Kona restaurants, but good food, huge portions, great prices, and the most beautiful oasis of an outdoor enclosed garden patio!
Be the first to ReplyGood for a quick bite
Service was very quick food came out very quick. I got the tuna sandwich. Wasn’t anything special but the prices were very fair for Kona!

We enjoyed the fish and chips so much we went back a few times. Sit in the outside patio if you can.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing place with great atmosphere
Came in to grab a bite when we arrived on the big island. What we found was a great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Food is good and the prices are reasonable. They open at 7am on Sunday for Football and have breakfast. Banana pancakes are excellent with a side of sausage. Owner is a Greenbay fan but all football fans will find a great place to watch a game. Don’t miss on this.
Be the first to ReplyWe came for fish….
Our travel guide suggested good, fresh Hawaiian fish could be had here. Waitress freely admitted it couldn’t, so we went with the Cajun-style flash-frozen ono. My wife picked the taco lunch with pineapple slaw. I chose the sandwich with steak cut fries. Fries excellent, both portion size and crispness. Bun fresh, held the sandwich together without overwhelming with sheer volume of bread. Tartar sauce hit the right balance of adding to the sandwich without taking over. Pickle and onion crisp, tasty. Tacos good. Both of us noted the difference between moist, fresh fish and frozen, but we would be glad to return. Nice ambience on patio, plants, decor, soft background music and pleasant competence from veteran servers.

We took out from here so no idea of the decor but they were polite and efficient. Only a 15 minute wait. Fish was amazing, magi magi sandwich same, cheeseburger same and all at very fair prices. Highly recommend 👍🏼👍🏼.

This is our favorite place for Ono fish and chips. This time we picked up and ate at the house. Just a yummy.
