We need more than three stars
Taste, texture, temperature just perfect. Interesting 'satellite style' presentation of dishes. Bring hunger.

Excellent food, competent waiters (though pronunciation in English was sometimes hard to understand). Food is plentiful, even at lunch. Of course itโs expensive but thatโs to be expected. Would come back.

Such a disappointment! We had planned on having the tasting menu with the wine pairing for lunch, but the maitre d encouraged us to order a la carte, for "the best, full experience" of the menu offerings. OK, we had had an exceptional experience at David Toutain's (2 star) earlier in the week, so decided to go all out. What a bad decision. Nothing seemed to go together. The flavors were "ok" at best and some were down right bad. My Hen with White Truffles was so salty, it was hard to finish. I actually did leave some things unfinished, and when you consider the size of the items and the cost, its like throwing money on the floor. Not one bite was above average. As for the staff...they sure think they are special. I just think they are on the decline. Kind of like the matted, dirty and ripped carpet in the dining room.

A beautiful place recently renovated, where art, generosity, finess, attention to details, are a religion. An amazing experience in our short overall horrible stay in dirty and dangerous Paris.

To Hervรจ and his most excellent waiting staff. To Philippe the chef for is incredible cooking. Congratulations to Matteo and Pierre who looked after us throughout our wonderful lunch. My wife abd I were again blown away by this superb restaurant. If it could be awarded four stars, they would definitely deserve it. The new decoration to this beautiful restaurant is perfect. I look forward to seeing you for my next big birthday. A big thank you must go to Francis from the Belzac Hotel as well. Merci Mark et Christine

My husband and I visited Paris for the first time and decided to book a 3 Michelin star restaurant to celebrate Christmas. After researching multiple, we booked PG since others are fully booked. * Nice things - We like the ambiance. Cozy vibe with lots of cool paintings. - Staff are observant and attentive to your needs - Bread and butter are delicious * Now let's get to the food part cos that's what we all care about: - We both get a la carte option. I have Adel option as Entree and Veal as Main course. My husband got Jardin Marin as Entree and Venison as Main course. We also get a bottle of while wine (Chablis). All of the dishes are mediocre and there's no harmony among them. Each "main" dish comes with a couple other smaller dishes. - For my dishes, the entree was so bland that I honestly can't remember what I had. Duck foie gras is supposed to be fatty, buttery and full of flavor but it's not. I look forward to the Veal dish but it's a huge disappointment. It tastes like a piece of pork chop that I can cook it better myself. It was dry, overcooked. The sauce has nothing to do with the meat. Nothing is cohesive about this dish. The veg is cooked to death cos why not? It's just a soggy mess on the plate. I get it, it's not spring, it's god damn gloomy winter, no one cares about lettuce but I think it's nice to have some freshness and contrasting texture. But who am I to say, I'm not a chef. Along with my main course is a pasta dish, which I found a bit disconnected. At this point, I'm already so full and not super excited about any other dishes. That brings me to a next point is the portion, I get the idea of "I want to get what I pay for" and this is an art to balance everything. I come to 3 michelin star restaurant for an art/theatrical experience beyond just shoving food in my mouth. I didn't get that here. I felt like a stuff chicken, or shall I say fat duck! At the end of dinner, I was so uncomfortable and I had to quickly went to Le Toilette to throw up. It never happened to me in any of my fine dining experience. Idk if it's the odd combination of some dishes or I'm just too full. Either way it was a ghetto experience. I wanted to leave asap. - Same thing with my husband's dishes. Venison and chocolate sauce were nothing spectacular. I get the idea of veal, chocolate and red wine because it's a classic combo but it's so disconnected. Like these three want to have a threesome but instead they sleep in 3 separate bedrooms. Also, there was a small side dish with 4 pieces of soggy french fries. They look sad, just sad. McDonald did better. The dish looks more like an after-thought and has no place to be on the table. I'm not sure when went inside the chef's head when he created the menu. - Dessert was vanilla souffle and it's just meh! At this point, we just wanna get the check and go home. We didn't finish that and I notice other tables didn't finish their food either, which also said something about the portion. And mind you, my husband and I can eat! I notice the waiters and managers come to other tables and ask why they can't finish the dishes. - We have been to a whole bunch of Michelin star restaurants in NYC, Barcelona and they are just living up to the high bar. For example, Chef table at Brooklyn Fare or Masa are must try. To me, dining at these restaurants are more than just an eating experience, it's like a show that every components needs to work. Here at PG, I can't name a single thing about the food that I love. I don't know why it has 3 stars, maybe it's time to reevaluate the whole Michelin star rating system. I read the reviews before I booked it and it's like "oh the experience might be a hit or miss". This is a 3 Michelin Star restaurant, not a god damn food card that your stove just doesn't work sometimes. I think food carts in NYC are better tbh. If you have money to throw out of the window and want to have disappointment in your life, feel free to book it. Otherwise, I'd say find a different one.

I made the booking so they gave my husband the menu without the prices, I donโt think they are being sexist. This menu strategy was a good thing as my husband might have had a heart attack. They didnโt mention the more reasonably-priced lunch formule, you have to already know about that one, you get a whole lunch for less than the price of one main course. The coffee was 12 euros though. Everything was utterly exquisite as expected, service was gorgeous.
