Parker Palm Springs Reviews from The Last Year
Pleasure weekend
Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. Great tennis pro. Fantastic pool. And I particularly like the music, which seemed carefully curated rather than just a wall of noise. Room was terrific too. One small negative: bathroom had way too many mirrors and was very small.
Perfect Hotel
Wow ! One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in ! The decor , the staff , the facilities are exceptional, Norma’s restaurant Caesar salad is an art form ! Chris the concierge is amazing give the man a pay rise !! He organised every restaurant for us and tours , it was perfect !
The Parker stay made our anniversary special
The Parker Palm Springs is a special place. My wife and I are celebrating our 29th anniversary. I booked a 2-day stay there and added dinner at Mr Parker’s. The service was impeccable in every aspect: valet, front desk, wait staff, etc. We didn’t realize that The Parker was such a large property (18 acres I think), and it would have been difficult for my wife to walk back and forth from our original room in the North Bldg. The young woman (I think her name was Akia) who checked us in, noticed that walking that distance would have been difficult, so she was kind enough to move us into the main building and also upgraded our room. We had a Hammock room: The room and decor was great, the bathroom opulent. Our dinner at Mr Parker’s was fun and the food was scrumptious. Our waiter was great. We also ate brunch both days at Norma’s: really good. The hotel grounds are like a park/oasis. We would love to make this an annual thing. You definitely get what you pay for.
Beautiful property - Staff needs training
O.K. Came here for lunch. Right off the bat when I pulled my car up to the Valet I asked if there was on site self-parking. The answer I received was "yes, on the street". So... no onsite self- parking? Walked in the hotel and asked which bars were open. Got a deer in the headlight answer from the front desk who I'm not sure was trained on what was on property. The concierge at the desk overheard this and just laughed. Felt like I was in a Twilight Zone episode. Had way overpriced lunch and drinks and tipped the valet. If you want a better experience go to the Colony Plams instead. Much better service and food and drinks.
Such poor value.
At $1000/night, I was expecting at least comfortable finishing touches and bare minimum services. The room had no main light switch, you had to turn in each small lamp individually. No one was there to greet us and its valet only, so there was a weird pileup of people trying to check in, and people stuck not being able to leave the driveway. After unloading ourselves, and moving the car mid unload to let a car get by, valet came out and took our bags. Which then took an hour and a half to be delivered to our room (note, it's not a large resort and we stayed literally right upstairs from the front desk. I would have gladly carried my own bag the short distance). Also, bring your own crib if you have a baby. Theirs are metal prison bars. The manager reached out and credited our valet cost, but honestly I still have such a sour taste in my mouth by the poor value and service of this hotel.
✨Magical Weekend
♥️We absolutely loved our stay at the Parker. The staff are SO lovely- they go above and beyond, the food and cocktails were AMAZING …and the rooms are absolutely beautiful. It’s rare to find a hotel in PS with acreage/grounds, and we just loved walking the tree-lined pathways, bicycling on their adorable pink bikes and relaxing on the hammocks and by the fire pit…. it’s magical! Highly suggest eating at Mister Parkers and Normas. Thank you, Parker!
Amazing weekend!
We had an amazing weekend! So many things stand out: we loved the pool, made new friends, the bed was so comfy, the spa treatments were incredible, the food was delicious and above all, the service was magnificent! The grounds are truly beautiful and everything about our stay was 5/5!
Celebrating wife’s Birthday
Grounds are immaculate lots of fun activities and Chris the concierge was fantastic. Norma’s cafe great Breakfast and lunch plus Lemonade Bar was great.
Artsy getaway in the middle of the desert
I loved the style of the hotel! There’s something to discover in every corner, it is just amazing. The service at the restaurant was a little unorganised, but very friendly. It really feels like an oasis in the middle of the desert - all in all a wonderful experience!
Not what they think they are
This place is ridiculous. We didn't get the room we reserved so they moved us to the worst room in the house - for the same outrageous price. The outdoor space was a concrete pad with a wall shielding the parking lot. The furniture was just two wire chairs with just one pad and an upturned 18 inch table. Other guest rooms had outdoor sofas and real living areas. At more than $1,000 a night before all if the junk fees it felt like we were being punished for asking to change rooms. The pools were small but comfortable. The grounds were well maintained. A bright spot was the bed which was fitted with great bedding. There was no coffee in the room and the tv remote did not work the tv. Everyone in our party of 16 was double charged. We couldn't reach anyone at the hotel about our prepaid reservation. The list goes in and on. This hotel thinks they are the greatest but that's only because of their outrageous pricing for everything. I should had a couple more $30 martinis to ease my pain. I guess some orange paint and some garage sale furniture makes you retro chic.
Frustrating extra fees make paradise a little less special
You can be your own rockstar at Parker!! Oops Not because of special treatment but because it's cheaper to throw your underpants away daily and use fresh ones then regular laundry costs. Move over Beiber! Among the highest hotel laundry fees in my extensive travels.$12 ++ each set of undies regular laundry. Parker is a resort with quite beautiful facilities, which is why it is quite exceptional and I recommend it. It's just a shame that upon arrival they blop an extra fee on your bill, resort fees! Yes I know this is an American reality, rest of the world we don't do that. You kind of expect what's displayed on the Hotel website is what you were electing to pay for when you take a room for the night?! Most of the staff are exceptionally friendly and help you get into the groove quickly. I will say the check in desk seems a little bit brusque, the has decided that they should be front desk and reception at the same time I think that would make me frustrated. The first person you speak to sets the tone for your visit. Try to make a booking that allows you to make full use of the outdoor facilities, which you are paying for anyway :-) don't arrive late and leave early or you will miss the point. On a previous visit I used the spa and it was delightful, highly recommend that space.
Meh
Meh Overpriced Understaffed All style No substance Food mediocre at best - wayyyyy overpriced Drinks mediocre at best - even more wayyyyyy overpriced Everything is a surcharge Housekeeping staff - 5 STARS Valet team - 5 STARS Front desk team - wow. Find a new job. Great place to go if you are a douche bag.
Over priced. Tired rooms. Poor service.
This place is complacent about everything. It is riding on its supposed reputation as the best hotel in Palm Springs Room issues include- smells of blocked drains, noisy locations, missing outdoor furniture and shutters that don’t close. Bar staff are busy chatting and don’t serve. Dirty bar and hand washed glasses In their defence management listened and were open to feedback which was taken seriously Main pool very noisy and full of children so if you want to relax have a room away from here. Adult only pool is well staffed and friendly although music is still loud.
Solo weekend!
Treat yourself! I wandered through the garden tipsy then had a fabulous dinner. I sank in my luxurious bed at night and ordered the best breakfast I bed in the morning. Rise and repeat. Will definitely be back! It was so relaxing and relaxing!!!
I've stayed here twice back when it was affordable.
Second stay our room had cabinets in the bathroom falling apart and a stain on the bed. We also asked for an accommodation since our room was right next to a building where they were having a big film festival and it was very loud. We were there celebrating an anniversary and did not get the peace and relaxation we were hoping for. They said there was nothing they can do and couldn't even offer a discount. For the price you pay, you would not expect that. Also, they just keep upping the price. I did notice that my wife and I were treated differently (we are both Latino) by the snobby staff there. Now, when I check there prices, I see it's at least 500 a night (way more on weekends) and you cannot help wondering if it's a strategy to keep people of color or other marginalized populations away. They seem to have an unwritten strategy of making their resort only available for people in the 1%. We can afford this hotel easily as we are both tenured professors, but the principle of their implicit racist strategy will make us look elsewhere to spend our money.
horrible service.
the manager, Omar, was so disrespectful. honestly shocked for the price I paid and the service I received. never will I stay here again or recommend this to anyone
Talk about a hotel.
This is more than a hotel. This is an estate where you can walk around. It's got little cubbies here there and everywhere. Rooms are great. Bedding is great. Show is great. It's a high-end kind of place but really what stands out is the grounds and the walking around the grounds which are incredibly beautiful. I think the only ding I would give them is it's a little forest in their grounds. Therefore there's some bugs so be careful on the bugs and wear your bug spray, but other than that I really can't even pick on anything they were phenomenal service was good. Bales was great restaurants were great. Food was great. Price was a little pricey, but you know that's what you have to expect at this place, five star experience I would do it again in a heartbeat!
I'll start by saying that we did not stay at the hotel and
I'll start by saying that we did not stay at the hotel and I'm glad we didn't book a room here. We received a recommendation from a friend to come to The Parker for lunch and were so excited. When we got there we met the host and told her we needed a table for 3. The host was all ready to take us to a table and then she saw our luggage and asked for us to take it to the front desk. We told her we weren't staying at the hotel and she said "sorry, we can't seat you for lunch." Apparently, they don't accept walk-ins from outsiders. We were upset because we took an Uber directly from the airport to the hotel for lunch. They should just put a sign up that says "Do not enter if you're not a guest" because that's how we felt.
luxurious and high end.
pricey but worth it. the rooms at the Parker are really nice. the bathroom is incredible and filled with high end french products. i love the turn down service and the staff are super friendly. this place is super classy - french music in the lobby, fancy bar, and comfy chairs to lounge in around their indoor firepit. the grounds are GORGEOUS with beautiful palm springs views. the restaurant is also really good. i love the free smoothie sample. they have great french fries and guacamole and the breakfast is AMAZING. definitely will stay here again and looking forward to my next visit!
Poor service! Motel 6 experience with high end hotel
Poor service! Motel 6 experience with high end hotel prices! Unable to sleep for three nights because of banging noise and hotel did not offer a full or partial refund. If you're unable to provide the basics such as a quiet room with no technical issues. Hotel management values revenue over guest satisfaction. Parker Palm Springs you failed us! We will be reaching out to the hotel ownership very soon.
AHOY MATEY! Avoid this place! The whole experience is not
AHOY MATEY! Avoid this place! The whole experience is not commiserate with the prices they are charging. The decor, service, food, grounds and spa are all 3-star quality, but they are charging 5-star prices. And it feels like a swindle...it's all smoke and mirrors. After experiencing a long list of issues during our spa day, the front desk automatically charged me and my 2 friends 20% gratuity on a $700 spa package each and said it was a mandatory charge. I questioned the front desk more, and they confirmed again that it was mandatory. After I got home, I called the spa and spoke to manager. They confirmed my doubts: "it's not mandatory, but it's standard. I'll talk to front desk." What spa manager doesn't know that their front desk is automatically charging 20% to all customer bills? It's all just a big scam. If your going to train your staff to pander luxury to the point of obsequiousness, then first teach them what an actual 5-star, luxury experience is. At least that will provide some much-needed perspective for everyone Stop charging luxury prices for mid-products and services!
This review is of the grounds and wedding/event
This review is of the grounds and wedding/event planners/valet/ servers . We came here for a family wedding December 2023. The valet supervisors John and Ryan were awesome. We came from out of state and they let us park in front with our dog in his crate and kept an eye on him for us . They were very accommodating to our situation. Side note this is a pet friendly hotel. All the servers we came in contact with were super polite and helpful. The croquet lawn area was perfect for cocktails , small bites , and s'mores at the fire pit. The wedding the next day was just as beautiful. The grounds were lush with so many flowers and plants. The wedding planner put everything together flawlessly. The outdoor area where we had the reception was like out of a story book. The food was classy and tasty. The bartenders made great drinks. The dance hall was also very nice. If you want fantasy wedding , check out this venue. Side note. The wedding party did stay here and they said the rooms were lovely and huge .
The Parker is the BEST! Thank you for accommodating my

It depends how far out in the future your reservation is. If you posted a reservation hat was 2 months out, it’s unlikely many people will view your reservation. It could also be that your reservation is just not desirable.
