Parcelles Paris Reviews from The Last Year
Simple. Lovely. Elegant. Flavorful. Perfect.
Parcelles is a charming authentic gourmet restaurant. The staff is friendly. The food is extraordinary. The ambience is quiet and sublime and charming. Book a reservation if you want to visit.
A thoroughly disappointing experience.
“For your information Alain Ducasse was here for lunch today and had the pork and he was raving about it!” So informed the rather abrupt Maitre d’ as I queried why, when I had sent back my plat – a tasteless dish of a single piece of dry pork fillet hiding under three fatty slabs of pork shoulder and surrounded by what could only be described as a baked bean variation sprinkled with coriander, I was still being charged for it. As I had explained to the waitress at the time this concoction was simply inedible. My partner’s plat of gnocchi, possibly food processor made to eliminate any pillowy features, could have been a highlight were it not so insipid. Monoprix do a better gnocchi. So off to see the chef we went, who was somewhat surprised with the revelation that she had been serving Alan Ducasse that very day, or that he had dined on the tasteless pork creation in question. To be fair, the staff go out of their way to charm their largely American clientele and the wine list is very well structured. That does not make up for serving dishes that are quite frankly, cafeteria food quality. And maybe try not to insult your customers publicly for simply pointing out that a meal is substandard. A thoroughly disappointing experience.
Worth the 24 hour plane trip. It was an amazing experience for the food, staff, ambiance and meeting the wonderful owner
We went at lunch time but going there in the evening would be lovely, you also need to see their Epicerie across the road
Best lunch ever
Maybe best lunch I have ever enjoyed - everything including the calf’s brain tartare is great - great selection of wines by the glass - affordable too
A disappointing experience
Menu was limited - I ordered an appetizer and cheese plate but was patronizingly informed that this is a restaurant and I should order an entree- I pointed out the fact that the two dishes I ordered were far higher priced than an entree! Sadly disappointing - even the bread was nothing like a simple classic French bistro. They took the joy of Paris out of my experience. Wine was fine
Wonderful waiters but the chef…
First. The food was wonderful, the wine even better and the sommelier at work was kind and knowledgeable. They were without a doub a man down, the waiters was behind doing all lunch service. Never did they not smile, but the where running, without time to help, fill water or answer questions. It was not good, and definitely not worth the prize. At a normal day, with the sommelier at work it might have been a perfect lunch. We locked out to the chefs in the kitchen, and they were rolling eyes at the waiters - and that, that is no way to treat one’s coworker. They were running! And the chefs had no respect, not once’s did they help - note even when they twice served us crème brûlée witch was over baked (second one raw at the top). I would come every day to drink wine, sit in the beautiful restaurant. But never again to watch the chefs here.
Incredibly disappointing.
So allow me to begin by saying that my partner and I are both well traveled foodies, always eager to try new things and reach beyond our comfort zone. We try to never adhere to being stereotypical Americans. We cherish French food and enjoy going with the experience. That said, Parcelles was the most disappointing dinner either of us have ever had. Well reviewed by the New York Times and Michelin, we hoped for a lovely time, which came to a crashing end as soon as the food arrived. The wait staff and the Somm were wonderful, but the food was nearly inedible. We ordered the Gezpacho, Pâté, Dorade, and pork loin. The Gezpacho was nothing more than tepid garlic yogurt with berries. The Pâté lacked any semblance of flavor. The Dorade was not a filet, but filled with bones, also lacking flavor. The pork loin was nothing but strips of dreadful white fat. The check came out to 160 Euros, which is why I bothered to write this. This restaurant is an absolute waste of money. Proceed at your own risk.
BELOW AVERAGE, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
There are many great restaurants in Paris but this is not one of them. The space is nice, the service was good but there is simply no reason to eat at a place that delivers a sub-par meal in such a great food city, The clams appetizer--a special--was very good but not exceptional. The best part of the meal was the special plat--veal sweetbreads. Truly delicious. But the second plat, a sliced pork, was, at best, flavorless. For a restaurant with slightly above average prices and an excellent reputation to allow this dish to come out of its kitchen, is simply unacceptable. We have eaten in great restaurants around the world and this was simply below average and it's not worth your time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
