Nice winter lunch
Had a lovely lunch there yesterday Very attentive service from staff especially Eleanor Food was nice and hot and drinks arrived promptly

We have been to this restaurant a few times in the past.. but WOW… knocked our socks off this time. The services was amazing, food was just incredible. So from us it’s a solid 10/10….. Thankyou for a memorable culinary experience. Alyssa was absolutely fabulous..and Ben an incredible asset to Novotel
Be the first to ReplyRelaxing very chill vibe
Relaxing vibes and slow paced, food and mocktails to suit! Thank you to young waitress with the good memory sorry forgot your name, was very impressive.
Be the first to ReplyLovely lunch with a view
We often go and enjoy lunch here. Especially when we have the beautiful Eloise as our waitress. Even after my daughters steak came out wrong she was quick to offer replacement and complimentary desserts. My favourite item Is the lobster prawn rolls.
Be the first to ReplyGetting worse
Great spot over to have a meal we often go there for lunch Not a large menu with a pasta dish,a burger and seafood and vegetarian options. Terrible service that just gets worse each visit .We had to get up from table to source food that was ordered Inexperienced wait staff who went to the kitchen 3 times to ask about the same menu item. Another just told us what beer was not available instead of suggesting what we could order
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
They need a new chef and someone to select wines who drinks wine rather than beer. I asked for a Shiraz the waitress offered 2. A Silkman HV reserve 2017 which is a blend of Shiraz and pinot noire the other yangarra. Instead I decided on a $65.00 bottle of whistler GSM from the barossa. I should have taken the yangarra. I also had the seafood plate. Octopus was way over cooked tough as old Harry's boot. Bugs and prawns not much better.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service and food
It was wet and miserable outside after a day of torrential rain. We shared the crab and prawn roll for entree, good choice as it would have been a big serve for one. We both chose curry for our main course: the bugs and lamb shank. Both were original in their authentic flavours. Presentation was superb. We have both lived and worked in Asia and the curries were fresh and authentic!
Be the first to ReplyPoor to average overpriced food
Four dishes were ordered: Balmain bugs in Singapore Chilli-crab sauce ($59) Penang duck curry ($39) Spicy miso soba noodles ($29) Beer-battered fish and chips ($33) The Balmain bugs were shockingly bad - very little meat and no flavour (the sauce literally tasted like water) - full refund provided. The other dishes were OK, but over-priced for what they were. Service was excellent, as a refund was provided straight away, and also the cost of one glass of wine removed from the bill.

As an Accor member we like going here for breakfast, today 24th Dec was informed that dinning discount would not apply even though Accor website stated it was and thats why drove from Shellharbour. Asked to speak to Palisade manager but he could not be found, the only blockout dates are Public holidays according to the Acoor website
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing, lunch menu food and service not to standard
Ordered drinks which took more than 40 mins to arrive and then the waitress spilled a glass (placing it on the uneven tables). Entree salami board ($49) served with salt & vinegar chips (out of a packet). Very limited choices across all courses, for a restaurant overlooking the beach the "reburbished" and "reinvented" Windjammers is very disappointing - I felt embarrassed for the place, just how bad it all was. What we ordered had little flavour or imagination, quite dry and way over priced. Our group of 10 will not recommend and never go back.
Be the first to ReplyIdeal for business travelers
Great location, service and food. Dining alone during a business trip I sat a small table overlooking the ocean and shipping Chanel A great outlook to keep me company. The service is fantastic. I had a steak and while I have had better the meal was tasty, hot and cooked as ordered.
Be the first to ReplyFood was straight out of Coles or Woolies
Ordered drinks which took around 30 mins or so to arrive. Entree with the olives, bread and cheese the olives weren’t even pitted. Main meals of chicken nuggets were like no name brand, fish and chips were like a packet from the freezer section, mashed potatoes with the steak was bland and had no flavour, and the beetroot ravioli was straight out of a packet from Leggos. Food was way over priced and waited over an hour for the mains which the steak, fish and chips came out first. An extra 10 mins and the nuggets, chips and ravioli came out. Absolutely appalling service. Don’t recommend at all and will never go back

Location fabulous. Restaurant looks good with the option of tables or booths. We chose a booth really nice and spacious for dining. The menu is quite limited for an establishment of this calibre. I had wasabi beef with no flavour of wasabi whatsoever and the beef quite tough. Others had steak cooked great. Portuguese chicken generous serve but chips not very nice. Prawn and lobster rolls nice. Service a bit hit and miss. Really attentive to remove dishes but very slow for drinks to arrive. Definitely an average experience. So hoping it picks up a bit menu wise as Acor members it’s our go to place with visitors.
Be the first to ReplyFood is nice, but the service was the best I’d ever had.
The service from Cheyenne was phenomenal. We had a large table and she somehow made special note to memorise what each person was ordering and drinking and was ten steps ahead at all times.
Most of our table ordered a steak of some sorts, I had the Wagyu personally, the portion was there but on the border of a fine dining and the plate was oversized.
The broccoli was superb. But the standout memory of this restaurant is the professionalism and thoughtfulness of Cheyenne.
Overpriced but good food
We love the location, food and atmosphere, but find it way overpriced.
A 300g steak with chips for $58, not even a simple salad on the large plate to go with it.
If we weren't Accor members we wouldn't choose to pay the menu price without the discount.
Fabulous service
Service was excellent as was the pleasant surroundings. Very attentive and prompt staff. 5 stars. I gave a star off as the food was fairly expensive for what it was.
Be the first to ReplyConnor is a superstar
Connor is a true asset to the company. Hard worker and very charismatic. He went above and beyond to serve everyone and please the customers waiting, even under immense pressure.

The food and service is less than average. With a very limited menu, you would think they could get it right, but the food is poor and overpriced. Partner had sticky pork ribs, without the ribs and without any sticky sauce and very little flavour. Bit like a lump of pork belly without the fat being rendered. I had the grilled prawns which were overcooked and served with a piece of dried up lemon (they called it barbequed). Nothing else on the plate except 4 prawns, no kefir lime salt, no house seafood sauce $38 thanks! The service, well in a party of 2 tables of 10, our tables order was taken first. The other table got their meals first and were almost finished before we got ours. All except me that is! I had to wait until my table was finished before they deigned to produce my 4 prawns. Twice I asked, once i was told it's on the pass, 15 minutes later I asked again. It took another 15 minutes to arrive. Admit the order was forgotten, apologise and make amends. No, that's not part of their repertoire. Needless to say I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyNo variation but great staff
The staff in this restaurant are fantastic very attentive and polite and well trained which was great to see. The food servings are large and tasty but kind of boring and a little overpriced. $30 for pad thai. Their menu was also kind of boring. The seafood options looked great but if you are not a seafood eater (which this restaurant does not advertise itself as) the choices were small. This is quite a new restaurant so hopefully some more variations will be added to the very limited choices particularly if you are vegan or vego. On the other hand dessert.... Awseome! A+ there.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic oceans views and great food
Fantastic food options. Good for gluten free and vegetarians. Fantastic views over north beach. Great service. Would recommend.
Be the first to ReplyNice staff, nice location, average food
Very nice staff and very good location, but average food for the price. If you're an Accor Plus member check what discounts apply up front.
Be the first to ReplyCold Cold Cold
At $70 for breakfast for two we had expectations of some decent food. Our expectations were dashed when we lined up to be served the buffet and were given the following:
Cold Bacon
Cold tomato
Cold hash brown
Cold toast
Warm sausage and mushrooms
Cold pancakes which were not initially consumed.
When we advised the waitstaff that the food was largely inedible we assumed (incorrectly) that the situation would be rectified. NO!
on returning to the buffet we thought we would retry the pancake because surely they would have increased the heat under the baine marie? NO! Cold pancakes again.omelette ok.
Coffee insipid. Tea weak. Value appalling.
One star for the views. I should have read the previous reviews as last time here was also dreadful and we live in Wollongong.
Restaurant manager needs re-training I’d like a refund.
AVOID.
Very Disappointed
I was looking forward to our evening at Palisade Kitchen & Bar thinking it would be a fine dining (looking at the prices) but I was terribly disappointed. We order our drinks and the waiter didn’t know what was in the cocktails – either it should be listed on the menu or the staff should know what is in each drink. I had to ask him to check with the bar staff. We ordered a bottle of wine and the staff didn’t open it or even attempt to pour the wine. When we order the second bottle, the girls said ‘sorry it is too hard to pour the wine when you’re in the booth’. The food, prawn and lobster roll (meaning bread rolls) costing $24 came out on a piece of red/white checked paper, which is fine if you were sitting in a café. We asked for the main meals to be held off as we were not in a hurry, the waiter said that would be fine just let him know when we were ready. 10mins after we finished out entrée the main meals arrived. I question why they were serving us our main meals when we had not request them and the reply was ‘the kitchen is busy and they have a time frame they have to serve the main meals’ first time I have ever heard that from a restaurant. Dessert, waiter walks up and asked ‘you ready to order dessert’, we didn’t have menus and again felt really rushed. I questioned what time the kitchen closed at he said 9pm. I can’t believe 9pm and they are trying to get us out of the place. So disappointed in the services and the food.

Caught up with my sister and her hubby for a delightful lunch. Look there were a few hiccups -but the service was still great - food was amazing, and we loved the UPGRADE of the restaurant, will be back for dinner soon. Size of meals for lunch were substantial - wine/beer prices acceptable. After covid and WHO knows this place is doing its ALL to wow you. We had time to be wasted, and we didn't care. We love the new look - bathrooms are amazing! We will be back - and thank you. ACCOR should be proud of you all!
