Oxford Exchange Tampa Reviews from The Last Year
I always wanted to go to this place when I was in college
I always wanted to go to this place when I was in college because all my friends from Tampa would frequent it. I finally got to go for brunch and book shopping and it did not disappoint! The food was top tier, drinks were strong and delicious, and the service was over-the-top friendly!! I loved their beautiful displays of book and literature related knick knacks. I picked up a few classics I love with gorgeous floral design cover prints and gold page edges. I need to go back soon! I wish Orlando had a place like this!
loved the ambiance and the breakfast and coffee were divine.
pancakes and french toast for the win.

The food here was some of the best brunch I've had in a very long time. The reason I docked a few stars was that is was extremely noisy so made it hard to talk to my friend, the service was really slow, and the prices seemed a little steep. The food though was delicious. I ordered the brunch flatbread and the spicy sweet potato fries. The fries were perfectly crispy and had this nice spice sprinkled on top. I didn't find them to be very spicy, but they were tasty nonetheless. The brunch flatbread was the true star. It had a perfectly runny egg on top. Every bite was amazing. 10/10 would order again every time. Sidenote: I was very disappointed that I had to pay extra for the fries. The brunch flatbread was listed on the menu under the sandwich section, which said it came with fries. The waiter was nice enough to let me know the fries were extra before I committed to ordering them. The menu was very misleading.

Went recently for a special occasion after being recommended for 10 years, and I wish I had started coming ten years ago! When I dropped my car at the exchange parking (across the street for $10), the valet started the nice experience by mentioning on Sundays you could park there all day, and nicely recommended where to park to get the maximum shade. After walking into an unassuming building, I thought I was transported to another world! On both sides of the exchange are bookstores and there is a coffee lounge and wine bar should you have forgotten to make a reservation (you do need a reservation a day in advance at least). When we walked into the restaurant it was a buzzing but mindful crowd, all dressed (minus a few U of Tampa students) very well. The maiterde was very polite, and also recommended some seats by the window, which ended up being plush lounge chairs, compared to their others they have. The selection was on one side of a piece of paper, but everything looked delightful (and after going here once I think I need to start planning on how to eat my way through the menu). My wife got the pancakes, I got the salmon eggs Benedict, which came with a side of breakfast potatoes, and I got a side of sweet potato fries, and was given a garlic dip, and an orange dip as well (which blew my mind). We also ordered a hot chocolate and orange juice, which were not my cup of tea (pun intended) but I think they're more known for their boozy brunch drinks. My wife's pancakes were more or less a banana foster, without the ice cream, and very thick and heavy pancakes (they won, my wife and I lost to them). My eggs Benedict had a delightful English muffin to hold it up, with great ready eggs, and a hollandaise sauce that definitely had a mixture of chicken gravy (magnifique!). The potatoes that came with it were good, but.. get the sweet potato fries! Last but not least, when it came to price, it was as expected, but, is definitely the best brunch place in the area to spend this amount ($75 with tip, and no alcohol).
Located in a cute and old fashion building.
Cool environment with super quick service!! All the food tasted great and their brunch options are all SOO hard to choose from!

Before leaving Tampa, we headed to @oxfordexchange for brunch. Oxford Exchange is more than a restaurant. It's a champagne bar, a coffee shop, a candle-making gathering spot, a co-working space, and retail store selling high-end items like $95 tea saucers and $200 solid brass pepper grinders. It's like if Cracker Barrel had a well-to-do cousin that got an Ivy League education, studied abroad for a year, and now drinks their tea with a pinky raised. Needless to say, it fancy. I felt massively underdressed in my shorts and Darth Vader t-shirt. Reservations are highly recommended. Luckily we had them and saw the host turn people away that didn't have them. Those turned away were able to order small brunch plates at the coffee shop and sit at the many communal tables scattered throughout the space. After being seated and perusing the menu, we decided on a few small plates for brunch; smoked salmon dip, deviled eggs, and grits. The smoked salmon dip was topped with crispy capers, pickled shallots, tarragon caper aioli, and enough poppy seeds to light up a drug test. It's served with everything bagel chips. This dip was delightful. I loved the crispy capers. It was also served with house pickles which was nice when you scoop a dollop of salmon dip on the bagel chip and top it with a pickle. The deviled eggs were made with smoked Gouda and topped with bacon, pickled chilies, and chives. These were nice and had a little spice with those chilies. We also shared a bowl of stone ground yellow grits. These grits were topped with shredded aged white cheddar, bacon, chives, and a maple drizzle. I never put maple syrup on my grits before. Now before you say, "That's like putting sugar on grits!" it's not. It was a wonderful combo of salty and sweet and helped keep the grits from turning to spackle within seconds. Overall, Oxford Exchange a great spot for brunch if you're feeling fancy. Just make sure you make reservations on Open Table.

Hands down the best brunch in Tampa! They have a great seasonal selection and quite frankly everything we ordered was phenomenal. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is always great.

if you're in tampa you must stop by! such a beautiful restaurant/cafe. their lemon poppyseed pancakes are actually the best pancakes i've ever had. sitting in patio area is also so picturesque. i love the decor and ambiance so much. i've been here twice and i already want to go back
Always a good time at the Oxford Exchange for breakfast.
Absolutely loved the brunch selections at Oxford. The 5-star service and food, reasonably priced menu, and great ambiance make it a top choice. There's so much to do while waiting for your table. The European-inspired design adds to the charm. You can visit the champagne bar, explore the book store, shop for jewelry, or even purchase gourmet loose teas. There's something for everyone to enjoy. I recommend making reservations in advance as it tends to get busy. When it comes to the food, the Brunch Flatbread with whipped boursin, gouda, sunny side egg, bacon, spinach, marinated tomato, and hot honey is to die for. The combination of flavors is absolutely delicious. Another must-try is the Omelet with ham, cheddar, scallion, tomato, and avocado crema. It's a perfect blend of ingredients that will leave you satisfied. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how good the Café con Leche was. The Oxford Exchange is a fantastic place for breakfast or brunch. The variety of options, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere make it a standout choice.
Recently dined at the Oxford Exchange.
Love the atmosphere. They offer a variety of dining from small plates with a coffee and Tea bar to a book store, eclectic gift shop to candle making. Food was decent our server could have been a little more polished with specials, guiding us on wine selection. Our server needed a little more training on customer service experience Overall I will return !
Great Breakfast Option
This is a great place for breakfast.Try to be seated in the garden area . We had a great time .Its always good to seat outside in the garden area. Molly was our service lady and she was pleasant and checked with us form time to time. High recommend the Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls. The Super Simple Sandwich was also great The coffee from Black and Brew is also great .
Tampa
Fantastic cafe, champagne bar, bookshop and restaurant. They also hade a perfume testing when I was there. Separate tea store if you are in to tea. Also a cool store with designed home interior.
gorgeous
awesome coffee, gorgeous location. parking can be an issue - you can’t use the nearby garage. i had an affogato, which was delicious.
1st visit, but I will return!
I was there for Lisa Scottoline’s book event on March 26, 2024, & was so happy when I received an email offer for dinner before the event. I made a 4:15pm reservation online, got confirmation & it was perfect from the moment I walked inside. My server was Perla B. She was welcoming & informed about the menu. She was happy to omit something from my omelette order. The omelette was enormous with delicious sides. I was so impressed & really came here not knowing what to expect. I am already looking at what upcoming events Oxford Exchange have plus I am anxious to return & bring Family when they visit me. Oxford Exchange does everything well.
Delicious restaurant
Very nice spot in tampa. Great option for brunch. I tried the whipped feta cheese with toasted pistachios and honey plus a charcoal tomatoes. Amazing each bite.
Brunch was very good.
Fast service clean place great atmosphere. Servers very friendly.

Visited this coffee bar with high hopes but left with mixed feelings. The customer service can be best described as inconsistent. I ordered a coffee con leche cold, but it was initially served hot. To their credit, the staff was gracious enough to remake it once we pointed out the mistake. The avocado toast was another story - truly delicious, but it seemed our order was forgotten. After a 30-minute wait and checking in multiple times, it finally arrived. Yet, even then, there was confusion as the server wasn't sure it was ours. While the food and drink had their merits, the overall experience was lacking due to the service hiccups. Sadly, we'll be skipping this place in the future.
Ambiance here is on point.
So much energy and makes you feel alive 5/5. What we ate: Smoked Salmon Dip - one thing I would change about this dish are the hard bagel chips. I think pita would be better 4/5. Stone Ground Yellow Grits 4/5 Braised short rib Benedict. Didn't like their style of crispy home fries or whatever it was. Just do regular fries 4/5 Food would have been better if they change certain things as mentioned above. Overall a good experience
We love Oxford Exchange
We love this restaurant. It is perfect for when we attend matinees at the Straz. We come down from Crystal River and park behind the restaurant. The food is eclectic and amazing. We have also been there for breakfast when we have spent the night for an event and is also delicious. Reservations are necessary and you need to allow an hour or more.
The best rating I could give this place is a 2.
I wanted to love this place because of how cute it is and on a previous visit at Christmas time it was such good food. However our experience today was awful. I tried everything I could to ensure we would have an amazing experience on St Patrick's Day with my family. We made our reservation back in January. The system would not let us book a reservation for our large party. We called the restaurant to ask how we could fix this. We were told in January to make two reservations and the restaurant would at the very least seat us next to one another. They also told us to put a very specific note in the reservation - which we did. We also went so far as to call early this morning before our reservation to ensure yet again we would be seated near each other. Upon arriving at the restaurant we explained yet again we were the same party just split into two reservations. The manager assured me she had both reservations and could seat us right away. I asked if we would be near one another and her response was "don't worry we've got you." As we walked to the tables we were nowhere near one another. Literally separated by 5 tables. I couldn't see the other part of our party unless I sat sideways. When I asked the manager why she didn't seat us next to one another (there were empty tables in another part of the restaurant that were next to one another). Her response was to tell me "we cannot guarantee being seated together we only have enough space for larger parties." I said "I understand we can't be seated together but we asked to be near one another. Not across the room." Again I was informed they don't make guarantees to seat us together and because it is a holiday they did the best they could. Except they did not do the best they could because her next response was to "unseat us" have us wait until a larger table opened and then "reseat" us. Excuse me. One of the larger parties had begun leaving and she offered to clear that table and allow us to sit there... that should have been the first offer to us - wait a few minutes instead of immediately seat us separately across the room from one another. When I expressed this she again repeated they do not guarantee seating parties together. So in other words it's all our fault even though we did everything we could to ensure two tables near one another - the notes reflected exactly what we were told to write in them, the phone call we made we were told they would put us at adjacent tables, and when I walked up I was told she had us not to worry. Issue number 2 - the wait staff was slow and more interested in helping other tables than us. We had to ask if we could order food. The separated table ordered food way before us. Issue number 3 - the food was sub par today. As I said at Christmas time (another holiday mind you) the food was amazing for Sunday brunch. Today the food was bland, the cheese grits had no flavor, and the breakfast potatoes were over cooked. Don't waste hundreds on this place for subpar food, slow service, and being told it's your fault they cannot accommodate you when you did exactly as instructed.
This place was great.
It's an upscale English restaurant with various things to see and try inside. The atmosphere is great but I felt like I was walking into an English Castle about to have breakfast and tea with the Queen. I was dressed normal for breakfast but everyone that walked inside was dressed as if they were going to a gala. The people were definitely flaunting their expensive and lavish lifestyle. That didn't turn me away being a retired Marine and being raised in Brooklyn, NY coming from humble beginnings and being simple. I really enjoyed their food and it was just a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The waitress was super nice and treated us very professionally and was in point with her service. Definitely a place if you want to impress your significant other or visiting family members. We were celebrating a birthday. The food was fantastic and various options for breakfast.
Had never been here before.
The reservation process is kinda annoying (you had to put a credit card down), but the food was very good, as were our drinks. Our waitress was kind as well. It is a bit pricey though.
Twi glasses of Prosecco cost $30.
Very small glasses of Prosecco. I literally spent $50 with tax and tip for two glasses of Prosecco before I ordered a single bite of food. Won't be back!! Ridiculous!!
Food was very good, atmosphere was amazing and the staff
Food was very good, atmosphere was amazing and the staff were so accommodating. If you decide to try it out make sure you make reservations ahead of time.
A bookstore cum breakfast/brunch place near Downtown Tampa.
Amazing ambiance and good healthy food options. Has a wide collection of books and interior decoration products.
This place is SICK.
VERY vibey and aesthetic! Came here for brunch on my bachelorette. We had a group of 9 and they had plenty of room. The drinks and food were amazing and the service was great and quick. The coffee is great and so many great cocktails. We shopped around after and hung out at the champagne bar for more cocktails. I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!
I had the French toast and it was absolutely delicious.
I hadn't been a French toast fan before eating the one here and I'm totally converted. The ambience of the restaurant area and the other area are absolutely top notch. I recommend this place to anyone that will listen. I also had the cappuccino which was great as well.
Beautiful building with rooms and stores to explore.
We'd definitely love to come back here again
Sunday Brunch
Busy Sunday brunch in this popular place across from University of Tampa. Reservations are a must! Excellent service here. Busy and bustling dining room that is LOUD with conversations. A quiet couples brunch is not found here. Menu's with small print so bring your reading glasses. Fresh and robust coffee. No fresh squeezed o.j. Eggs Benedict are a variation of traditional with a biscuit on the bottom, braised short rib next, poached egg and fried straw type onion on top. Tasty but if you are expecting traditional you may be disappointed. The table was wobbly and the server offered a "wobbly wedge" which suggests to me that management is aware of table issues. Overall a pricey meal. My suggestion if you come here is to request a outside courtyard table.
Poor Customer Service
Tried multiple attempts to schedule a party table for 7 for lunch. Followed directions on email response. Called7 times to secure with a credit card as directed. No answer!
Loved it
First time at Oxford Exchange. Very good prompt, courteous and friendly service. The food was also very good. I would consider this to be more of an upscale restaurant but yet still has a casual feel. I would definitely recommend the Oxford Exchange.
Amazing brunch spot
My cousin from the area thinks this area is overhyped, but the food here was delicious. Service is 5 stars and the ambience is great. I loved the atrium area, but just beware of the sun as you can find yourself getting a tan when dining here. My cousins and I shared 1 champagne bottle and got a carafe of OJ. Better value compared to the $14 per mimosa. We shared everything from the French toast, steak sandwich and the poke bowl. Everything we ate was cooked well and delicious. The French toast had plenty of berries and we had 4 pieces of large toast to choose from. The poke bowl had some really fresh tuna. My steak sandwich was no joke. Rich cheese with tender cuts of steak and the crispy sweet potato fries were perfect. Highly recommend coming here for brunch. Food and service were perfect. Prices are reasonable considering it’s downtown Tampa. Bathrooms were super clean and our waitress was so friendly. Parking is really easy to find. Even on a busy weekday morning theres plenty of street parking every where. Definitely recommend making reservations. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other brunch options.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
