Went in for brunch and the service is absolutely
Went in for brunch and the service is absolutely impeccable! The atmosphere was dark and closer to a classic brick-Italian style restaurant. I would definitely take someone on a dinner date or family gathering here. There was a very good free intro bread basket (rosemary focaccia was their default) and honestly like it is so flavorful and yummy. They even accommodated my desire for some balsamic vinegar which I often love with my bread. A lot of Italian places I go to typically don't have it depending on the region of Italian they are serving which is fine but just knowing that I can have something I like is already a huge bonus in my visit. The salad romana was one of the best Caesar salad I had because it's made with shredded croutons instead of the regular croutons that are cubed which made it so much more enjoyable to eat. They separated the Salad plates for us without asking since they thought we were sharing and I was so surprised and it was so awesome. It's like they read my mind. For the pastas I ordered the tortelli (lobster marscapone ravioli) and their famous dish the cappelletti (ricotta and Prosciutto)I loved both of them but since I'm a lobster fan I obviously preferred the tortelli. The ricotta was rich and very delicious and tasted more on the traditional side (don't think Misi style) it was not as creamy as that but it was very flavorful. The prosciutto added a good touch. The tortelli is very seafood oriented so if you're not a fan of that maybe skip that- but for seafood fans, it is a must!Stuffed to the brim, I was very happy and next time will probably have another few dishes and try their dessert. Left super happy and was grateful for the amazing service I received.
Be the first to ReplyThe fusilli was incredible.
I could eat an entire pan. My partner ordered the salmon and loved it. They paired it with the house Chardonnay while I sipped on the best Negroni I've had in a minute. We were seated near the kitchen (which I always appreciate) and waitstaff seemed a little hectic, but the food and drinks all came very promptly. At one point, as we were starting to leave, the manager offered to box up our food. He took our food and didn't come back for the next ten minutes. Our server was very gracious and was able to bring us our food back. Give her a raise. Overall, the food is incredible. The ambience is busier than expected, but the cooks and the servers hold the fort down.

Randomly popped in after walking around Soho looking for a cute place to sit outside and grab a late lunch. It was mid-day so keep in mind the menu is reduced. I ordered the Cappelletti (Truffle ravioli) and my friend ordered the Fusilli. I always have to try anything truffle wherever I go! I wasn't a fan of the ravioli (would be a 4 star rating otherwise) but the Fusilli was amazing. Overall staff was super friendly and was helpful to create a unique mocktail to our liking. Would love to come back and give the other pastas a try!

$15 pasta on Mondays brought me in, but everything else will make me return! The ambiance is cozy and spacious, the service was delightful, the food was delicious, and the wine selection was vast! Would recommend the burrata and charred octopus for apps, and the bolognese or sweet pork ragu for entre. Will return here - 9/10 recommend!

YUM! Made a reservation for a Saturday night around 2 weeks in advance. Truffle cappelletti absolutely delicious!
Be the first to ReplyI had a wonderful experience here.
The food was delicious. I had dinner here on a Saturday night and it was pretty packed but service was great. The food all came out in a timely manner. We had the octopus and calamari apps to start, both are winners. I loved the octopus especially and the calamari was thinly battered and fried to perfection! For our entrees, we had the Cappelletti truffled ricotta ravioli, prosciutto- DELICIOUS... it was so good & my favorite dish of the night. We also had the Torcia Nera-squid ink pasta, seppia & shrimp ragù. Also very good and I loved the crispy little toppings-don't know what it was but it worked well with the pasta. They have a full bar and extensive list of wines! The syrah was great with the food.

Absolutely delicious! We went for late brunch, around 2:30 PM. The place was not packed and crazy like other spots around, and the service was exceptional. The meatball appetizer was super good, but the pasta was out of this world. We had the Tortelli with lobster, Fusilli, and Garganelli, but our absolute favorite was the Cappelletti with truffled ricotta and prosciutto. We will certainly be back!

This food was so good that I didn't even remember to get a picture. I got the tagliatelle which was my personal fav. I went with 3 friends and all dishes were amazing. This restaurant renewed my hope in Italian restaurants! It was a great spot to be New Year's Eve!

We started our meal with calamari which I forgot to snatch a photo of because we were starving when we came in. However, the calamari was perfectly crispy and light. Then I had the spaghetti with meatballs ($32). This is an italian classic and Morini did a great job at delivering! I wasn't sure if it was worth spending that much money on such a regular pasta dish but the homemade pasta was cooked beautifully and the tomato sauce was delicious. The meatballs were a little underwhelming. The pasta noodles were definitely the main star for me. My friends got 2 other pasta dishes that they said was really good as well. We ended the meal with a lemon cake. It was a little too sweet for me but my friends enjoyed it. Excited to come back soon!

Also order the fegatini which was unexpected texture and taste wise which i did not really enjoy. The calamari was good for what it is but i am not a calamari fan so it didn't account into the rating but the pasta i had (fussili) was super delicious and fresh and also tried the gramigna which was also very enjoyable. we ended with the lemon cake it was the best way to end a meal with something not to sweet but still enjoyable. would definitely come back but get other appetizersz

A must visit! My family and I came to celebrate my father's birthday and the staff and kitchen made it the most wonderful experience! To start - we all had cocktails which were perfect - strongly recommend the botanical 75, Negroni, and margarita. For appetizers we had the charcuterie board - everyone raved about the parmigiana "gelato" (and rightly so), but don't sleep on the smoked trout spread - highly recommend. We also tried the calamari, burrata, and meatballs. The calamari were clearly prepared on site (not out of a freezer bag) and cooked to perfection! The flavor combination of the burrata, butternut squash and pomegranate molasses was innovative and very well balanced. The meatballs were everything you would want from a comfort dish - hearty and flavorful. For entrees we got a Calabrese pizza, the cappelletti pasta, fusilli, and spicy chicken wings. The pasta dishes were exquisite. I'm sure they are all delicious, but the two we tried were superb. If that wasn't enough - we also tried dessert :)The nocciola, torta and tiramisu were a fantastic way to cap off the most amazing experience! I couldn't recommend it more!!
Be the first to ReplyJust had a great lunch with my family.
We started off with the calabrese pizza. It was awesome !!! Not too much onion, outstanding pepperoni and the sausage placement was amazing under the cheese. I got the bolognese sauce it was perfect. The beef Ravi my daughter got was even better. The spaghetti and meatballs where really good. Service was a little slow for such an expensive restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly this place felt like the Italian dining experience.
A lot of young people dining here. Pasta was delicious. Wine was perfect. Service was fast. Overall, very filling and enjoyable experience!

The octopus appetizer was excellent but everything else was downhill. I ordered a pasta special with meat that was not edible. I sent it back. The side of meatballs were tasteless. The wine was subpar - ordered three different red wines, all were not as described. Server walked by my empty wine glass numerous times.

I have been coming here for about 4yrs now and can say nothing but great things. The service is outstanding. The manager, Nathan, is one of the best in the industry. The food. Is. To. Die. For. Every single dish we get is amazing. The pasta, especially, is incredible. We will be coming back for years to come.

Perfect spot for a date night - the food is incredible, the portions aren't huge, and the service is amazing! Went here on a Saturday for an early dinner at 5:45PM with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. We made a reservation online only a week ahead and there seemed to be lots of openings when we booked so it definitely doesn't seem too too hard to get a reservation around any time preference. We arrived almost 30minutes early but we were sat immediately and they acknowledged our anniversary note on the reservation which was super sweet! We started with drinks - Stir Crazy and Marrone Negroni... The drinks were amazing, tasty and were strong to the perfect degree. They went along with everything else we ordered perfectly! We then decided on doing a "Build a Board" - ok my first thought here was since I'm not a huge cheese person why spend $24 on just parmigiano gelato and prosciutto, but I was feeling in the mood. BUT, I will be craving this all the time. Like I said not a huge cheese/charcuterie board person but it was AMAZING. They give you bread along with your items of choice along with Apricot Jam and a Lardo Spread which was both AMAZING. The parmigiano gelato with lardo spread with apricot jam with a little prosciutto on top was one of the best things I've ever tasted - so what i'msaying is, even if you aren't a cheese and meat type of person at least try the Parmigiano Gelato and Prosciutto (oh also they slice it right in the dining room)Ok sorry to ramble, on to entrees - I ordered the well known Truffled Ricotta Ravioli "Cappelletti" and my boyfriend got the Roasted Chicken which he said was a "gamble" bc we couldn't find any pics on yelp. However, his Roasted Chicken was one of the best dishes I've ever had in NY, it was a decent portion and the mushrooms along with the marsala jus was so tasty. The Cappelletti was just as expected, buttery, super cheesy and a taste of truffle. The truffle wasn't overwhelming and the cheese and truffle mixture on the inside tasted incredible fresh (which makes sense bc they are well known for making pasta on site every day). You can definitely taste the quality in anything and everything you choose to get here. No dessert this time because we had already decided to do dessert somewhere else, but the server gave amazing recommendations and we look forward to coming again!

Be the first to ReplyI came here for brunch.
It was during Covid and they only had outdoor seating at the time. It was on the street and thankfully the street had been shut down for pedestrians so it wasn't very loud.I came here at about 11 in the morning and I would say that all the other restaurants were completely full. This place had no one there but people started to come in at about 1130.We were seated immediately and I tried the eggs Benedict with salmon and my friend tried the branzino. I would say the benedict was largely forgettable but the Bronzino was crispy and well prepared. The service was very quick as well and I would say the word stuff is really friendly and helps with placing your orders. A lot of stuff had to be brought from inside the restaurant though so we did have to wait quite a bit of time for her to bring condiments etc. Not a negative but it might make more sense for you to go in and get a bunch of stuff that you would like. The inside his rather dark unless you sit by the windows. But I do have a really full and large bar which would be lovely to sit in on the evenings. The space is mostly wooden and looks like an old-school Italian Varro restaurant.

I'm a big fan of pasta and while I did enjoy it here, I'm unsure if it's worth the price tag. The service was quick and our waitress was so kind but I think it's overpriced
Be the first to ReplyGot the Tagliatelle with pesto.
Great quality al dente pasta. I asked for it vegetarian without the sausage. Great specials on Sunday nights on their Industry night menu. Definitely going there again when I'm in town.
Be the first to ReplyThis place delivered and all the food is just off.
Calamari is too tough, spaghetti pomodoro was fishy, and bolognese zesty. I am forced to eat leftovers now and throw this crap away.
Be the first to ReplyOsteria Morini is excellent.
The pasta is made in house and each ingredient is of the highest quality. Every aspect of what seems like a simple dish are delicious. I highly recommend. The only reason I gave 4 stars is though the quality was great the quantity was pretty small. If you compare the amount of food you get at Osteria to other great Italian restaurants in the city of the same price point you might also find it a bit disappointing as well. It might not matter to some but I know it matters to others.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place, solid Italian.
Delicious fresh pastas. Carciofi was dynamite. Cappelletti with truffled ricotta ravioli, prosciutto, butter and the Garganelli with prosciutto, mushroom, truffle crema were scrumptious. The side of brussel sprouts & pancetta very memorable. Service was spot on.
