Odette Singapore Reviews from The Last Year
True 3-star experience
Odette has received many accolades on top of its Michelin 3-star recognition, and these are absolutely deserved. Having experienced numerous Michelin starred restaurants, we wondered if the Singapore stars were on par with their European counterparts, and they truly are! Our standout favorites were the Normandy crab, the rosemary smoked organic egg, and the array of French cheeses whose aroma itself will transport you to France. It will take a bite out of your wallet, costing in the range of US$400-500 per person. But when you calculate the tremendous costs of maintaining a 3-star rating, it is entirely reasonable. If you want access to exquisite ingredients creatively molded into delectable dishes, the beautiful dining atmosphere, and the top-notch staff of well-trained professionals who take tremendous pride in their craftsmanship, then this is simply the price of admission. Their warm hospitality adds to the experience and makes it all the more worthy of a visit.
Fantastic food, even better service
What a fantastic meal. Service was so professional, yet welcoming and friendly. Lucky enough to not only get in at the last minute but also to have truffles on the menu. The langoustine with truffle was the standout. Some seriously amazing wine to wash it all down with. Well done to all of the staff.
Top 5 meals of all time! The Odette staff was visiting Los
Top 5 meals of all time! The Odette staff was visiting Los Gatos in California and I got a chance to partake and what an experience it was! Well, number 24 on the list of world's best restaurants and they have been even higher and of course the 3 Michelin stars. Who am I to disagree?? Leslie the somm was super knowledgeable, charming and funny... Luisa the pastry chef...the best pastry Chef in Asia is a magician...and Xiong the chef were all amazing. They made the evening a delight in terms of the food, service, and overall experience. Every dish we ate was the "The best ____". The best chicken...the best cod... the best fried chicken...the best chicken and rice and the list goes on...
Sublime gourmet experience and the most caring, highly knowledgeable staff : unforgettable MUST-GO in Singapore
No frills, no pretence, no arrogance : only culinary art mastered to perfection allied to a uniquely caring, warm, highly knowledgeable staff in a cosy, classy and elegant setting. Chef Julien Royer holds high his native French cuisine, but he manages to enrich it with Japanese touches. The result is an unmatched explosion of tastes, fragrances, textures, totally original, always balanced, divinely delicate. The dishes are exquisitely presented, with a sense of details that makes each plate a piece of art. The service is the cherry on the cake really : staff is fully engaged, caring, warm and friendly though discreet and so efficient! A few perks from our tasting menu : Langoustine "comme un dumpling", leek fondue, vin jaune, beurre noisette.... To die for. Scottish blue lobster, Kyoto miso, endive, Saké beurre blanc... My palate shall never forget. Love what you do, and it will never feel you go to work : at Odette, it seems that people genuinely love what they do, believe it it and are eager to share that passion with the guests. It enhanced tremendously our experience. The best restaurant in Singapore, by far.
Great experience at Singapore 3 Michelin Star Restaurant
Was here for birthday lunch last year. Pretty difficult to secure a table. Dishes tasted great up until the gamey pigeon. Service was warm and welcoming too!
Worth every penny!
We did the five course lunch with wine pairing, and while it was expensive, it was worth it! The food was incredible, the service was excellent and friendly, and the wine was delicious. We asked lots of questions and both our waiter and the sommelier provided terrific responses.
The service and food live up to its fame.
We went there for dinner with my hubby. Nice environment and set up. Food was all artistically crafted, not only the taste was good, but also the presentation. It was quite an international team and the staff were most friendly and helpful. They explained each dish well. Excellent food and service, the only down side is it’s very pricy.
A Culinary Masterpiece at Odette
Odette offers an extraordinary dining experience that truly deserves its three Michelin stars. Located in the National Gallery, the restaurant's ambiance is elegant and serene, perfectly complementing the exquisite dishes crafted by Chef Julien Royer.
Cuisine exceptional, but DO NOT choose a “private dining” booking!
Firstly … Let me start with the undeniable highlight: the food at Odette is fabulous. Chatting to Chef Adam Wan, the team has mastered the art of exceptional cuisine. The vegetarian menu was light and flavoursome. Sadly there is a BUT … note room type and do not select “PRIVATE DINING”. Given Odette's stellar reputation, built on a foundation of accolades, waiting lists, and glowing reviews, the anticipation for our Odette experience was understandably high. So, when we eagerly secured a reservation and didn't notice room type, we were in for a disappointment. "Private dining" suggests exclusivity and something special. Yet, upon arrival, we were ushered into a lacklustre function room that felt more suited for group events than the marketed dining experience. The ambiance was non-existent. My view was a bland wall and matrie-d stations!! For a restaurant of Odette's reputation, with their meticulous attention to detail with the crafted dining experience, I’m not sure how they would believe some diners would be happy to be a squeezed in cover using function room space. While Odette undeniably earns it’s Michelin star for exceptional cuisine, it is not worthy of a “special journey” with a table in a back-room. We have always been happy to splurge for something special, but to overspend for a less than mediocre atmosphere is what will be remembered. It was just terrible. When reputation and price align, all diners should be given a full Michelin-worthy experience. Even with notification of pending renovations, delivering subpar isn't an excuse. Choose wisely and opt for the main dining area to appreciate what Odette has to offer. The food deserves 5 stars, however the ambience/atmosphere /dining room gets 0.
Outstanding but
Probably my 6th time here and it’s still spectacular in a few ways. But there’s a but (or 2) in there The amuse bouche and seafood courses were very good to excellent. The abalone and foie gras in pork broth very creative and tasty Then the signature egg course. It’s a permament fixture in the menu but i’ve eaten it about 10 times including the chef’s time at Jaan. So it gets boring Ditto for the main course of pigeon. Occasionally switch to beef or duck and i’ll be more excited The mushroom soup also repetitive The blanc dessert and petit fours also very good to excellent Service also very good 9/10

Update: I received a call from Minali, one of the managers, that a patron has canceled their reservation, and I was able to have dinner here after all with my lovely wife. It was an incredible experience. Every person here was warm, eager to impress, and willing to engage in conversation. Each and every carefully curated dish has a story, elevating our culinary adventure in a way that is unforgettable. We loved the earthy mushroom tea, the sweetly fresh Hokkaido Uni, which was augmented by a generous portion of caviar, the delicate sauce that went with the scallop crudo, the soup with tender abalone and melt-in- your-mouth foie gras, and especially the main signature dish--a medium rare Kampot Pepper Crusted Pigeon. I mentioned earlier that each dish has a story. During our experience, the servers shared the story of the restaurant itself, including where it got its name. I'm impressed with their holistic approach to seemingly everything. Now we have our own story to share about our epic culinary adventure for years to come. Thank you, everyone.
Ultime Perfection in Fine Dining
Amazing dining experience at 3 Michelin Star Odette Restaurant in Singapore. This was absolute perfection in fine dining, from immaculate prepared dishes to delicate service this was one of the best dining experiences of our lifetime. After having dined at over 100 Michelin-Starred venues, mostly in Europe and Asia, Odette is easily ranked as our Top 5 favorite. Kudos to Chef Julien Royer and his marvelous staff. They are simply unique in having created a heavenly dining experience. Thank you so much for making our dinner a very special one. We look forward to our return. Huge disappointment
Totally over rated. We were brought to a table that seems to be an extension of the main dining hall. Main dining hall was elegantly furnished with dark ambient mood lighting. The extension was plainly draped in beige with plain typical down lighting, far brighter, more like a waiting room. Service was non inspiring. The maitre d’ was polite…. that’s it. Her welcoming note and summary of the upcoming gastronomic itinerary was more robotic than engaging. The sommelier and wait staff throughout the course of the dinner exudes the same aura as the maitre d’. There was this 1 wait staff who was rambling the description of the dish at the speed of sound, couldn’t make out what that dish was. Hors d oeuvres was tantalizing. Had extra cheese, truffle and wine. Main dish of pigeon confit was not as succulent as expected. Needless to say, all portions were small. Overall gastronomic experience was a disappointment. To finish the gloom, we paid $2100 for me and my husband celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary. Overall experience is not worth the price tag, huge disappointment.
Superb dining experience.
A special treat on a special day. Aunthentic experience and friendly chef.
Deserves a three-stars... on TripAdvisor
The welcome snacks were decent, but nothing outstanding. The donut seemed average and greasy, while the impromptu shrimp taco was good, and the onion tart was delightful. The following appetizer, mushroom tea - a mushroom soup infused with truffle, offered a rich and dense mushroom broth with the essence of truffle - was delicious, akin to immersing oneself in a forest basket full of mushrooms. The first course composed of sea urchin caviar and black caviar with mousse and shrimp. Since I initially warned that I did not like sea urchin caviar, they replaced the dish from black caviar to crab accompanied by apple and avocado. The crab taste was overshadowed by the apples, making it an inadequate substitute for black caviar in both price and flavor. I told the waiter about this, he offered to bring me this dish with caviar, but then he conveniently forgot about me. Their renowned signature egg dish, featuring yolk, potato mousse, and chorizo, presented a good blend of raw yolk with salty chorizo and soft potatoes. However, the inadequate amount of chorizo left one with only a regular yolk in the end, which was rather disappointing. For an additional $100, my husband upgraded the dish to langoustines with truffle generously sprinkled, creating a delicious and harmonious blend of flavors. It seems that to enjoy something truly tasty at this restaurant, one must be prepared to pay extra. The fish crudo course with dill received no complaints, while the scallop with chicory was flavorful but somewhat simplistic, not quite fitting for a three-star establishment. Now, onto the most disappointing aspect - the main signature dish. The medium-rare roasted pigeon had a peculiar taste reminiscent of offal, with a slightly strange smell. This type of meat may not appeal to everyone, making its presence on the menu somewhat odd. We expressed our dissatisfaction with the dish to the waiter. We were offered chicken as a replacement, which turned out to be simple chicken sous vide lacking any distinctive flavor or complexity. At $490 on the menu, this dish felt uninspired. The waiter suggested an alternative - foie gras with abalone broth, which proved more intriguing than the previous dishes but failed to deliver a phenomenal taste. Visiting a restaurant with a three-star rating, we expected surprises, unique culinary experiences, and intriguing flavor combinations to expand our palate. However, all the dishes at this establishment seemed basic, using common ingredients readily found in any restaurant. Singapore boasts a high standard of dining establishments, making it perplexing how this restaurant attained three stars; having visited over 15 Michelin-starred venues worldwide, we would rate this at most one star due to the lack of innovative solutions, interesting flavor pairings, or premium ingredients. Though some dishes showcased creative techniques, it was insufficient. Desserts were unremarkable, merely sweet cakes lacking balance or contrasting flavors to offset the sweetness. Service The service was inattentive, with dirty dishes left unattended on the table until a new dish was served. To sum up: Drawing from my extensive experience dining at Michelin-starred establishments, I can conclude that: - Service falls short of high standards - They don’t have their own toilet, only a shared one in the gallery, it takes 3 minutes to walk, where the cabins were found to be unclean. - The cuisine is simplistic, lacking fascinating flavor combinations, textures, or premium ingredients. Despite the $490 set menu price, the offering fails to reflect the expected quality. If you have visited most Michelin-starred restaurants in Singapore, a visit could be considered; however, if not, we do not recommend it. There are other establishments more deserving of your attention.
Better than Les Amis, not as good as Zen
This was the final three Michelin star restaurant we had to tick off in Singapore, and we’d say it’s more of Les Amis’ ilk than Zen’s. For us Zen is what we’re looking for, more contemporary. But Odette is more “classic” Michelin. So will depend on your tastes! Gripe first: even though, as with all three star restaurants, you often have to book months in advance for a reservation, Odette actually take a substantial deposit from your account. The money leaves your account. And it is non-refundable, even if you cancelled a minute later for a reservation in two months time. I have zero issue with holds being put on x amount and you needing to cancel a reservation with some notice, but this is militant. All sorts can change and it’s simply wrong to operate in this was. I’d have happily given them a 4/5, same as Les Amis, if not for this. I think we were also a little more disappointed here than at Les Amis because Odette is in the Top 50 restaurant list, which often bucks the Michelin trend and rewards contemporary places. This definitely more “French” aka stuffy and formal. Not necessarily bad, just not what we’re looking for first and foremost. All that said: great dinner! Really enjoyed it. We’d been to Zen the night before so it had a lot to live up to and it was not far off and, I think it’s worth stressing, mostly on subjective things. I can imagine some hating the music at Zen and loving it here. Service very professional and quite fun. I enjoyed asking the French sommelier for cheddar, red Leicester, and Stilton, when he just had Roquefort and some other rubbish from France. Food was very, very tasty. More drama than Zen, with smoke and table preparation, and that sort of thing. Doing dry January though and their non-alcoholic drinks very, very poor. We don’t necessarily mark them down for this, as it’s not uncommon, but in this day and age I think you really do need to offer more than a couple of sodas and a handful of non-alcoholic wines (urgh). We loved the decor, space, and view of the kitchen. Great location within the art gallery/museum. Finally, and sorry to keep comparing to Zen (that I’m clearly obsessed with), it was a lot cheaper than the dinner the night before. Which is good! If you like classic Michelin, by which I mean lovely white, pressed table cloths, cheese presentations, and fawning over bread, this is probably for you (better, I think, than Les Amis, even though I’ve scored them worse for their deposit policy).
Good food
Beautiful food, beautiful dishes, but comparing to Europe, it should be 1 michelin star max. Nothing out of ordinary if you're a restaurant-goer. Friendly atmosphere. Very pricey
Amazing attention to detail
Odette is pretty expensive, no doubt about it. Bit of a challenge to find a bottle of wine much under $1000. So this is not a place you'd go every week, but it's definitely a place you should go some time. Incredibly inventive food and presentation. So many little details. One tip - we semi-circumnavigated the Gallery trying to figure out how to get in. Turns out that most of the entrances we walked past assuming to be closed, were in fact open. You just have to open the door. Who'd have thought it. Not us :)
As of this review they are ranked #14 in the world, #1 in
As of this review they are ranked #14 in the world, #1 in Asia, and of course are Michelin 3*. All for very, very good reason. The food is art, the wine pairing is essential and highly additive to the experience, and they exude modern class, down to the widely spaced tables, bright yet soft light, glass doors framing the kitchen, and chairs perfectly comfortable for a nearly four hour meal. Can't forget the cheese cart either, which was presented with skill and drew raves. As exquisite as the whole experience is, the wrinkle, of course, is that it absolutely should be for the price. Even if you are used to fine dining and wine pairings, it is very clear here they know that you are willing to pay for the experience. For the price paid here you could absolutely have two meals at some of their other Michelin-starred brethren, and that is enough to give me pause for a higher rating.

I have had eaten at star restaurants in Asia before but this was my first true fine dining experience in Asia. Odette is located within The National Gallery, a short distance by taxi from the bustling Orchard Road. It is advisable to catch a taxi if you dressed up for the occasion so not to sweat yourself out in the hot and humid weather in Singapore. As soon as we approached the front door of the restaurant, the maitre d' opened the double door and welcome us in. Inside was spacious and tables spaced reasonably apart. We were lead to one of the two best tables in front of the semi-open kitchen, signifying a great meal ahead. We were given a regular menu to choose from the 5 or 7 course meal plus couple other supplementary courses. Regrettably I forgot to take pictures of it. We ended up with the 7 course meal plus one supplement course of a langoustine ravioli with white truffle to share. As the menu is seasonal I am not going to elaborate on the dishes. Just know that every single dish was of quality and prepared delicately to perfection, sparing no details and offering high end ingredients. Beautifully presented and visually stunning enhancing and elevating one's dining experience. Worth every penny, not to be missed if you are financially manageable. 20th Wedding Anniversary Celebration @ Odette
I had the pleasure of celebrating my 20th anniversary at Odette and it was an exquisite culinary experience. The ambiance exuded elegant sophistication creating a perfect setting for an indulgent evening. The menu showcased a masterful blend of French flavors with innovative twists, each dish a testament to the chef's culinary artistry and showmanship. Impeccable presentation, attentive service, and a carefully curated wine list further elevated the dining experience. This restaurant is truly deserving of their 3 Michelin stars and World’s Best restaurant accolades.
If you only live once go to Odette.
WOW! Just wow… the food, the private room, the wine, the team. Odette is everything we had hoped for and more to celebrate a very special 50th birthday. The theatre behind the food is incredible and you can taste the passion in every morsel. So special.
Beyond amazing
We had the most fabulous evening at this fine establishment. The food was delicious , the presentation was dramatic, and the service was divine. We’ve been to many three star Michelin restaurants and Odette is in a class by itself. Elegant but not stuffy. The staff was knowledgeable about the wine ( and the list is extensive). The add ons to the set menu are offered in an irresistible way, be careful, they do add up. Special shout out to Vanessa who went above and beyond!

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability

Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
