Cannot recommend this place enough.
This was the most AMAZING dining experience I've ever had. Ensure that you arrive hungry and you will not be disappointed. The owners were spectacular and extremely hospitable. Everything was perfect.

"This was the best quality fish at an Omakase in Miami," quoting my friend who dined with me and has visited a dozen other popular omakase restaurants in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. (I've been to far fewer) We went on a Thursday for the discounted nigiri experience. Not sure how much better it can get, but I'll be back on a weekend for the full menu. Service was impeccable. The bartender was amazing and took pride in making cocktails. The chef was social and it was a bit less than traditional- but more fun. He was very knowledgeable and shared stories about the fish and traditional preparations between each dish. I lost count of courses we had but I believe it was a couple more than what was promised. We chatted a bit with those around us as the seating promotes socializing a bit, but enough space where it doesn't feel like forced conversation. Presentation was entertaining, space was dark but the ambient lighting was spot on. I'll be back very, very soon. Thank you for the great experience!

WOW. This place really blew me away. It's more than just dinner, it's literally an entire experience. From picking up your envelope with the secret location and password to enter, from the bar area that was very speakeasy like where you wait to enter into the actual Omakase room- it was all super fun and a perfect date night. When they open the doors to the omakase dining room you're hit with a wave of beautiful aromas, the lighting is dim and romantic and the decor is beautiful. And of course the food... well, let's just say the quality and flavors deserve a standing ovation! The chef left us wanting for absolutely NOTHING. 10/10 would highly recommend and IF I am lucky enough, will be back in the near future- it was a real treat.

.. Well, let me start by saying that this is one of the most amazing restaurant I have ever been. The food, the show for every dish, the service, the drinks and the ambience was simply spectacular. Definitely 10 out 10 highly recommended and I can't wait to go back!!! Thank you chef and staff for an unforgettable night at Nossa Omakase.

Every bite was special and the meal was like a show. The chef is not only great with the food but entertaining himself. Worth the drive to Miami Beach.

Nossa Omakase is a stunning restaurant with a cuisine and vibe to match! We celebrated my husband's birthday and loved the prohibition speak easy vibe as we came in. The bar area was super cute and sexy, and then you are brought into the main dining Omakase bar, which is beautiful! All the dishes prepared had an amazing flare, and the chef goes above and beyond on the presentation. I mean, you really just have to be there to see it. It is on the higher end of price ranges but with the ingredients used, the show and everything, you really get what you pay for. Do not miss out on this!!!!

We did the 'experience' and it definitely was. We have been to many omakase's and what was really cool about this was not only the food but the ambiance. It wasn't nigiri after nigiri like they usually are- it was creative, flavorful, different, really cool in presentation, and entertaining. We will definitely be back.

While I love a good traditional omakase, this is one of the few I've seen who've done fusion food with success. Can there be such a thing as too much truffle or caviar, I guess maybe for some, but I am not one of those persons. I also appreciate good theater, and everything about Nossa's meal is a performance. From the moment you enter the speakeasy, you are greeted with a glass of champagne. Once everyone arrives, you are given a place to sit in a theatrical looking room. High seats create a semi-circle around where the performance (the cooking) will take place. At each seat there is an overhead light placed perfectly to highlight your food. It is as much a visual experience as it is an experience for your mouth. The first meal was a play on a tuna tartare, with caviar and a quail egg on top. I took my time with this, as it was luxuriousness on the tongue. We were then given an egg from a jidori chicken between two pieces of buttered toast. This is everything breakfast wishes it was. We also had Japanese Wagyu that was lightly torched. We had a delightful scallop served within a shell. There were several other dishes (there are really about 18 courses). About midway through the meal, we were all given a celebratory drink (I would say complimentary, but at $350 per person, it seems about right) which was like a watermelon mojito. The sushi portion of the night was a highlight. If you've read my other reviews, any time uni shows up, I am there. The tuna tasting was also a favorite. Dessert was a simple sesame seed and chocolate truffle with raspberry, followed by a final shot of the night garnished with a chocolate chip cookie (I did not drink it as it was too strong for me, I'm a weakling when it comes to drinking, but my husband enjoyed it). In addition to amazing food, and glorious visuals, the chef was entertaining and regaled us in stories throughout the night. Definite 10/10 experience.

The food was beyond amazing and the chef was funny and nice! The ambience perfectly enhances the entire culinary experience. I had tuna cheek, and a taco dish that were both out of this world. All around it was a divine experience.

It's definitely an experience, we had the pleasure of joining chef on a Tuesday for our date night. My wive is a huge fan of nigiri and we decided to try the nigiri menu. The range from saba to uni, aged tuna and other goodies. All the preparations were perfect no complaints there i could have used more edge on some dishes but the manu was tailored that night without edge on purpose for a guest of the chef. Ultimately its a recommended experience. Ps. Add a Moscow Mule style drink.

In disbelief how open minded I was and how happy I was with everything.Everyone is polite and the attention to their customers was unlike anything before. The FOOD ,,,, the,, FOOD is to fucking die for. I only thought about how am I going to wake up the next day and just be a basic eater again. His hands is touched by a higher power.
Be the first to ReplyThis was a magical epicurean journey worth every penny.
The experience starts at the poke spot around the corner where you get your top secret instructions before you meander down a secret road that leads you to a magical door....ha ha. Make sure you have your password! You are suddenly taken into a dark, seductive bar where you are offered a complimentary sake or champagne and you await your fate. This place has one seating. It's fun. You get to know the folks you are eating with. The chef enjoys interacting and it's an omakase experience that is unlike anything you have experienced. Three full hours of magic. Beluga caviar and truffle-driven magic. Why? Caviar was used instead of salt. Even in the dessert. Spectacular. We started off with a tuna flight. Delectable. Blue fin to chu-toro. Delicate. Balanced. Delightful. Followed by an oyster in an orange ponzu with a sparkling sake foam. Next was a mixed tuna tartar with a wonderful balance of texture with a sake marinated quail egg to throw on top and mix up. Creamy. Decadent. We were off. We then were served a crab salad on a Florida navel orange. Slightly smoked in Japanese wood topped with black truffle. Sweet, clean, citrusy. As I was settling into my place in heaven I was served a smoked and slightly charred Santa Barbara uni with ikura and caviar on a bed of warm seasoned rice. The ikura barely washed, retaining its exquisite brine. We were then greeted with Japanese butter bread, a miniature sandwich with a sous vide yolk in the center that was incredibly velvety, soft, and paired deliciously with the earthiness and saltiness of the caviar it was topped with.Just when you think you have died and gone to heaven, you are greeted with an art deco crystal chalice filled with chu-toro tartar, caviar and Japanese pepper that exploded in your mouth and lit up every taste bud. I can literally sit here and write all day. Go. Scallops, ice cream, waygu, drinks, a broth all followed. Epic. Just simply F-in epic.

I went with a dear friend for his birthday at Nossa on Thursday and had an amazing time. The entire experience was definitely one to remember. The environment of the restaurant is dark and mysterious, edgy and luxurious, which elevated my anticipation of the meal to come. The complimentary glass of champagne was a nice welcome. When it was time to dine, all the guests for the evening were led down a low lit hallway to the dining room. When the frosted glass doors slid open, they revealed a beautiful chef's table situated in the center of the room. All the lighting, colors, and decoration point your eyes toward the chef as if he was on a stage. The restaurant is small, only a few seats around the table. This was nice because you get to know about your fellow guests. Everyone in attendance was so fun and personable. Now for the food. I will confess, I do not normally even like sushi or crave Asian food of this style. However, I loved every dish that was served to me. They hit all the senses - sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Other reviews have gone into detail about the various dishes and how good they are so I don't need to. I just want to echo those points and simply express gratitude to the chef for opening my horizons to enjoy these dishes I would not normally have. The showmanship is just right. The chef jokes with the guests and shows off his techniques but there is nothing kitschy or cliché about it. If anyone is concerned about that, let me allay your fears. There were three birthdays being celebrated that night, one of which was my friend's. The restaurant treated us all with a delicious coconut ice cream topped with caviar and finished with a cloud of gold dust. Seeing my friend light up from the gold dust finish made me so happy. Everyone who had a birthday walked away feeling extra special. Finally, a word about cocktails. The Japanese whiskey old fashioned was stunningly good. I had two of them. They source some very old and rare Japanese whiskeys to make their cocktails so they were certainly special. Would I recommend Nossa to others? Absolutely! They limit reservations to a max of two people so go with a close friend or loved one on a special occasion. It was be an experience you both remember and cherish.

A truly amazing evening with delicious bites. Chef Sebastian was humorous and fun while explaining the food we ate. The pace was quick but not rushed. A must visit if you like experiencing Omakase.

Nossa was a surprise celebration for my wife who had just achieved the highest level of education possible in her field, a Doctorate. Being so very proud of her achievement, I had very high hopes and expectations going in. I wanted this to be a perfect evening. I must say that Nossa exceeded those expectations in almost every way possible. This was an absolutely fabulous Omakase experience. At Nossa you get a "show" and presentation that is bar none better than any restaurant we have ever experienced before. I am not sure my writing skills can possibly do justice to Nossa, so I'll simply vouch for every other 5 star review they have received. Absolutely incredible. Note that you WILL spend $500+/per person before the night is over and could potentially spend a lot more if you indulge in some of the higher end alcohol options. Was it worth it? I would say it was absolutely worth it as a one time experience for a special celebration dinner.
Be the first to ReplyNossa Omakase is by far the most superior Omakase
Nossa Omakase is by far the most superior Omakase experience you'll find in Miami.. probably in all of Florida, and maybe even the South. Hailing from New York, where we have many one-of- a-kind, top tier, Omakase restaurants, it's a must, to acknowledge just how delicious and wonderfully perfected, the sushi dishes are here. They've truly created an art of their own. Using fish brought over from Japan - adding uni, truffle, and caviar to most dishes.. you'll recognize a theme! You will most definitely not be disappointed! Plus, it's a really great, fun experience.. they utilize the torch often, as you watch everything being prepared in front of you. The owners were also present on our visit. They were hospitable, welcoming, and made sure we had the superb experience we did!! We left full but not stuffed... as some places leave you.. you're sure to have a blast while enjoying some of the best quality sushi/ Japanese cuisine you'll find. Give them a try- you won't regret it! One for the books! Thank you to the the incredible chef and team at Nossa! See you on the next trip to Miami!
Be the first to ReplyThe starting entry to this exclusive Omakase theater begins
The starting entry to this exclusive Omakase theater begins at $300. To most patrons here this is not much to blink at; in fact, there are quite a few regulars. But... is it worth it based on my fortunate experiences? I'd say, not really, unfortunately. I've had better quality and heartier Omakase ring in at half the price. Still, service here is outstanding. I'd say their passion to curate a positive experience here is too. They have some show elements to the intimate dinner, but I'd stop short at their +"show" promise. Again, I've been fortunate to see similar or better at alternative places at significantly lower price. I'm not sure many patrons would admit the same, but this is adequate for the price point. You can do better for the money, but it's also a fun experience if you want to try an experimental developing experience. They're on the way to something truly special and exclusive if they can refine it further. It's not quite there yet for starting $300 per plate price point, but perhaps for some of the existing crowd it's just fine thus no incentive to raise the bar. That would be unfortunate in my opinion. They have a nice idea, and it has opportunities for better execution and value in my most humble opinion. I enjoyed it but wouldn't rush back or necessarily tell my friends with an honest opinion that this is a must do.
