We had family dinner at Nobu in the Galleria for Christmas, and I'm so disappointed. The disappointment started with parking. Valet had roped off 90% of the parking, but valet was closed. My first suggestion is to ensure parking is available for patrons attending open restaurants in the mall. The ambiance was nicely dimmed in the restaurant, and we were immediately greeted by the host. We informed the host about the absence of valet, and he said it was okay to park in the roped-off valet area. Now, let's talk about the service. This was the slowest Nobu I've ever visited. We were seated at 6:20 pm and our waitress seemed new. She asked if we'd like our cold dishes last, which was odd. Perhaps she should have framed the question differently. We ordered 3 sushi plates and 3 main entrees. By 7:02 pm, we had received only 2 sushi plates and were still waiting. Other guests seated after us received their dishes timely and left before us. Our food arrived sparingly. I love the black cod with miso, one of my favorite Nobu dishes, but I don't recommend this location. I've visited Nobu in Atlanta and Los Angeles, and everything was on point.

Hey, I wanted to give a shoutout to these guys for being open on Christmas night. Gotta say, it was seriously impressive! I don't personally celebrate Christmas, but I had some time off and was itching to have a good time and dress up a bit. So, big thanks for providing such a great service. We went with the chef's recommendation and boy, did we get treated to an appetizer extravaganza! I believe we had like eight or maybe even twelve different dishes of appetizers. It was absolutely mind-blowing and we had an incredible time. I definitely recommend checking this place out. Thanks again!

A high end restaurant but worth the money I went during Houston Restaurant Weeks and their happy hour, so that helped a lot.
Be the first to ReplyI liked the ambiance.
I just feel like the prices of the food were not worth it. Prices and portions did not match, in a bad way.

Extremely expensive!! For one person- 2 drinks and one appetizer plate was $187! The waiter should have told me the "appraiser" he suggested cost so much!! Never going back!

Be the first to ReplyWalked into Nobu's bar after dinner for drinks.
Love the warm lightings n music. Great vibes. Service was attentive yet not overwhelming. Nailed on the cocktails that I requested to be less sweet n made some awesome recommendations we would otherwise not try. 5 stars on bar service n ambiance. Can't comment much on the food as i went after dinner but the presentation I saw on other tables look amazing.

Terrible experience! The waiter was horrible!! He was very rude and dismissive! The sushi was very subpar to say the least! At this price point I expect quality in terms of service and food! This place was disappointing! I will never come back to this location! Do not recommend! Please read ALL reviews before trying this place! Will not return!
Be the first to ReplyThe bar service was excellent.
The food was not good and it over priced. The portion sizes tapas, which is not bad but at least have flavor for the amount and price charged.
Be the first to ReplyShowed up for a quick nightcap and dessert with 2 friends.
Service was attentive, desserts were unique and good. Not too sweet but flavourful.
Be the first to ReplyFirst of all, maybe we set the bar way too high we've been
First of all, maybe we set the bar way too high we've been to Nobu in California in LA and we've been to Nobu in Atlanta might I add that the Atlanta Nobu is superior to all Nobu so far that I have been to now let's get to our experience First off, we arrived early and we were sat fairly quickly. Granted it was Christmas, so we know that the staff is going to be different but with our experience during the Thanksgiving holidays by eating out, we were truly excited about eating at a place that we considered familiar you can tell by the lack of pictures this place was a complete bust. If this is Novus standard as far as restaurant and hospitality goes I give this place basically a D minus I don't know if it was the staff I have never been offered in my entire life. Would you like your cold food last that's what the waitress offered to us now maybe she didn't have a lot of experience. Maybe she was short staffed but the food was terrible. We were barely ever waited on the entire time we were there, except for the end, when the tip was there, all the waitress hung around to see what the tip was gonna be. Now I'm not a bad temper. You know I'm somewhere in the realm of good to great depending on service, but for the lack of appreciation for the lack of service for not really paying attention you're never coming back to offer me another drink I would definitely say if you're going to do Nobu in Houston skip this experience. Not worth your time or effort. I would definitely tell people to be expecting a lackluster event not anything like the other Nobu, that I talked about earlier in this blog definitely a thumbs down.

As I walked up the stairs I visually like the setting of the restaurant. Lighting was dim and romantic/cool/chill. A great place to eat on any occasion. Our server of the night was great and humorous. Food was good. One of the dishes I thought was salty but other than that overall rating is good. I love love loveddd the dessert I ordered!! It is pricey thoooooo
Be the first to ReplyRestaurants that are this hyped up are normally a let down
Restaurants that are this hyped up are normally a let down but I gotta say... Nobu really lived up to the hype for me. Went on a Friday night after making a reservation the day prior. They offer valet parking (not sure on the price) but there is also a free parking garage directly next to the restaurant if you don't want to pay. On a Friday night, the restaurant was pretty slow. Plenty of tables remained open throughout my time there. Our waitress did an amazing job of walking us through the menu as first timers and giving us her recommendations which were all awesome. Here is some of what we ordered: Shishito peppers - AMAZING. I loved these so much. We ended up getting three orders of these.Yellowtail jalapeno - yellowtail tasted very fresh and basically melted in your mouth. Really good!Red Snapper with dry miso - I mean WOW. The dry miso really just makes any fish taste so much better. Can't go wrong with this dish.Nobu Oysters - Oysters were fresh but this was probably our least favorite dish of the night. I can't remember what exactly comes on this oysters but we both did not like these very much :( just a preference thing though.Salmon belly- some of the best salmon belly I have ever had. Very fresh and moist.Yellowtail - Favorite of the night. We ended up getting a few of these. MUST TRY!Tataki A5 Wagyu - I really was expecting this to blow my mind. It was flavorful enough but for the price point ($4o per oz) it just fell short for us. A little chewier than I would have liked. We also got to try some of their Sake which were 10/10. Additionally, our server recommended the hibiscus sour which was so good and so pretty! Our dinner for two (4 cocktails) came out to around $350 without gratuity. Price is definitely high but you are paying for high quality ingredients. I can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was really good.
We had some tuna, tempura sea bass and cod on a bed of lettuce, tempura squid, all very good. Well, first of all everything fried fried is good to me! But it was all delicious. The drinks were good too and the service was on point! The setting was so much of everything. Loved it!
Be the first to ReplyFood was great.
The lobster tacos are so small but sooooo delicious. I would say probably some of the best tasting sushi in the city is here. The drinks were great but I need stronger so I stick to champagne. Try the French 75. My only suggestion is that they open earlier like the Malibu location.
Be the first to ReplyAmbience was good.
Service was ok. But nothing special about the food especially at that price point. I expected more popping and unique flavors but nah, everything was meh.
Be the first to ReplyLove this location, I normally go for happy hour or dinner .
The staff are always attentive and ambiance is just right.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyed Valentine's Day dinner at Nobu Houston.
The food was phenomenal, especially paired with a nice bottle of wine, and the service was quick, friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The only issue we had was the table, which was quite small and low to the ground. There wasn't enough room for everything, and I felt I had to hunch over to eat. I'm sure the experience would've been perfect had we been seated at a taller table, but it was Valentine's Day so we were just happy to be there!

Went here for my daughter 17th birthday along with 4 others guest and it was a horrific experience, to say the least. From the chick with the curly hair at the front who seats folks, constantly looking back at our table. not sure why considering the folks next to us had 4 dogs seating at the table. The waitress was always late with refills. She was not attentive at all and rude. Put in an order for something no one ordered but we paid for it anyway without question. We would tell her to give us a minute and she would literally came back 20 minutes later (twice.) The girls all went to the restroom together and the same chick with the curly hair who speaks Spanish literally sat back and watch the girls do a 2 minute TikTok review. Like, who does that?!? All the girls said it was a bad experience and the food was so so. we won't ever go back to a Nobu ever again from this experience. One thing I'm sure of, is this exactly what they wanted. They wont have to worry about us ever again.

I am such a creature of habit, so now that I've found my new sushi spot I will definitely be a regular. Let's start by saying the ambiance and decor is absolutely amazing at Nobu. I loved how the lighting was not too dim but just right for vlogging of all the delicious food I enjoyed. I started off the Spinach salas with dry miso. Very fresh and tossed well only thing the Parmesan maybe the amount they put was a little too much. The Wagyu dumpling I have to say were very delicious and the sauce was spicy just the way I like it without being overbearing to the dumplings itself. In addition to the wagyu dumplings I have a cut salmon avocado roll. The roll was very tasty I liked how you can feel all of its different elements merging together. Not too fishy at all. It will be a goto item for me. My waitress Noel was a doll, very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. And let me get to the best part..Leo the manager. Super charming, knowledgeable about Nobu and went above and beyond to make me and my date have a memorable experience. In this century we are all about VIBES.. amd Nobu brought it!
Be the first to ReplyFinally got to try the Houston location.
Everything was good as expected. Sake paired very well with the food. Wagyu was my favorite. Didn't care too much for the tatare. Great service and location. Very knowledgeable staff which helped.

We have been to 11 Nobu Restaurants worldwide and while each has been an amazing experience, the Nobu in Houston has Barry! We asked for a wine pairing with our signature Omakase and each selection exceeded our expectations. The wine was complimentary and enhanced each and every course. If you're in Houston stop by Nobu at the Galleria, Barry, Leo and Ryan will make sure your visit is beyond memorable!
Be the first to ReplyDrake got my expectations up for nothing, honestly out of
Drake got my expectations up for nothing, honestly out of the four restaurants in this part of the Galleria, Nobu was the least impressive by far. ย Ambience, service, drinks and food were unremarkable at best, slightly disappointing at worst. The interior was giving me high end Chipotle and the patio was closed on a beautiful first day of spring. Service was odd, the servers did a good job going through the motions and reading through the menu, but the timing was off and I felt rushed through the meal. We had two servers ask us if we were ready to order our entrees while we were still waiting on the drinks and appetizer we ordered. The food was alright but lacked the presentation or flavor to justify the price. Same with the drinks, they were just so-so. Unfortunately won't be returning but glad I could check it out and satiate my curiosity.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is really good but the value is a bit questionable.
I ordered the black cod and a side of roasted vegetables in a spicy garlic sauce. The cod was cooked in a sweet miso glaze which makes it easy to eat. The black cod might the best value for money on the menu. The veggies weren't found on the online menu but the waitress helped me out. ย They were quite good and cooked just long enough to remain the right amount of crunch. I also ordered a dirty martini and was impressed as the bartender nailed my request for a little extra dirty. It's a great experience but the price point can be a bit distracting. ย Still, the combination of good food, atmosphere, and service will bring me back.
Be the first to ReplySTRONG five stars.
For starters, Nobu has happy hour 5-7 pm during the week! It made the bill very reasonably priced and essentially guaranteed I will be coming back.Everything was so delicious. I tried the avocado roll, the salmon avocado roll, and the rock shrimp tempura. The salmon avocado roll was the winner between the two and the salmon was the right consistency and tasted fresh. The rock shrimp tempura stole the show and was lightly crispy with an incredible spicy cream qsauce. It was a very decadent flavor and came with a more generous portion than I would've expected.I tried the Champagne 95, a prosecco drink with pineapple. It was on the sweeter side but very good. It's definitely a drink I would only have one of at a time as it's a bit sweet. And only $10 on happy hour! I'll be sure to get it again next time I go.The vibe is unbeatable. The decor is incredibly tasteful and adds to the overall experience.Love love love Nobu. Can't wait to go back!
