Service was 5/5 but I found the tuna tacos and a couple of rolls I can't recall to be just okay. Their Edamame with sea salt were very fresh and crispy though. Our drinks were off the menu but they were nothing to call home about.
Be the first to ReplyThis was our first time at a Nobu.
The food was delicious but pricey. Our server was difficult to understand and he was talking so fast and was so busy trying to up sale it was frustrating when we knew what we wanted. The restaurant is beautiful but very loud. I'm not sure you should still feel hungry after spending $800 for dinner. At Nobu you are definitely paying for the experience.

..Jumpman? Anyone? Who hasn't heard of Nobu. It's the go to sushi restaurant for celebrities all over the world. I actually wanted to go to the one in the Bahamas but it was booked up for weeks. Lucky for me there are locations everywhere, including several in NYC. I booked this downtown location and it was very busy when we got there. Not surprised though. When you enter it has an upstairs bar/lounge area and downstairs is the main dining room. I got the omakase and I think my husband got the chicken teriyaki with a side of vegetable tempura, which he proclaimed was the best chicken teriyaki he'd ever had. Omakase was to die for. Every dish was unique and brought a new flavor, texture, sense to the palate. If I had to pick one of the dishes, it'd be a tie between the Wagyu beef and the noodle on consumme. Dessert was of course ice cream. Service was nice, staff were friendly, and I'd 100% go back.
Be the first to ReplyI think the food was okay but overhyped for their price.
The seafood was fresh but not the best. I'm not a big fan of miso so I didn't really like the overly sweet flavors on my black miso cod or shishito peppers. My favorite had to be the jalapeรฑo yellowtail and the nigiri. I've tried the Nobu in New York and Atlanta and personally feel like this location in Las Vegas is slacking. The waiters are super nice although the quality of the food in this location is just not... all that.

Nobu is consistent with the food freshness and strong cocktails. This location was busy but I was seated promptly and service was attentive. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyA homerun from start to finish.
The moment we walked through the doors we were greeted by a very warm and friendly host by the name of Jacq. We had arrived bit early so he brought us over to the bar and took care of us while the table was being prepared. During small talk, it came up that we were celebrating our anniversary, later in the evening when dessert came they had written Happy Anniversary on the plate with the chocolate glaze, amazing attention to detail. The server taking care of us for the evening, Eriko, was the best I've ever had at any restaurant. I have a gluten allergy and she patiently walked me through the menu recommending items (The menu doesn't give any info). Every item brought to the table I was told if it was safe to eat or not. Portion sizes were fine, we left feeling very full and the price we felt was reasonable and justified the experience. Overall an amazing time, we will be back for sure and highly recommend the place.

Hands down, one of my favorite meals I have had in a long time! This was my first time going to Nobu, mostly because every time I traveled and attempted to book a reservation, it would be booked out for 2 months... so I was very excited to see what Nobu was about. We decided to get omakase, 2 of the salmon specials they had that day, and the toro with pear special. The dishes were delicious! Of course, some were not as great but overall, the meal was nice. My least favorite was the clam soup, which came second to last in the course. It was underwhelming but again, not terrible. My favorite would have to be toro. I typically get toro/o-toro whenever I go out for sushi but the toro was scrumptious. The vibe inside was lovely and our server was super helpful. I enjoyed my experience at Nobu Downtown and would definitely visit again!

I was brought here for a surprise birthday dinner by my wife and family. Nobu is absolutely amazing. The service was great, our waiter was super attentive, made suggestions and even told us about items not listed on the menu. The ambiance is classy, quiet and very elegantly decorated. I will definitely be back to try other items. The sushi was the best sushi I've ever had. I tried the shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna, and the spider roll. The choclo corn was amazing, as was the miso shishito peppers. The ponzu tempura lobster was magical. Don't think about it- go to Nobu and enjoy every piece of the experience.
Be the first to ReplyOkay, so the food was pretty good.
The lobster ceviche was great, but the portion was laughable. The sushi deluxe would have been perfect, had the nigiri not been tainted with Wasabi. Each piece felt like it had been doused in it. Our waiter was quite dismissive and tried to pressure us into ordering more. He seemed to write us off after we didn't submit an additional order. The ambiance felt like I was at a night club not a luxury sushi spot. Given the price I honestly feel generous giving it 3 stars. All this to say - Go to a better sushi spot. There are plenty in the city.

A solid Nobu, as usual, go for the hot appetizers and cooked fish. The sushi I've had better elsewhere, but it's hard to beat this miso cod and the beef dumplings.

Service good , atmosphere good, food no special, price too high, I spent $250 for two people, still hungry to go home, but if you are rich enough, you can go there
Be the first to ReplyToo much sauce on the sushi and sashimi.
Wine pairings were sad and service was rushing us out even when we said no rush please. This place used to be amazing and now it's a corporate and B&T joint. I'll never go back. So many better places in Manhattan.
Be the first to ReplyBeen hearing a lot of hype about this place and finally
Been hearing a lot of hype about this place and finally went for a friend's birthday. It's incredibly pricey, even for Japanese food standards, but makes sense once you step in. It's more Westernized, without the usual pristine Japanese ambiance, and instead is quite bustling. It also feels a bit more of like a lounge, with some L-shaped booths, which would be nice for an intimate date. In terms of food though, I would say it's good, but considering the exorbitant price, it's a bit underwhelming. Yellowtail Jalapeno - 3/5 Fish quality was good and had a nice texture. Sauce, however, was incredibly overpowering and sour, to the point that I couldn't taste the fish or the jalapenos. Black Cod w/ Miso - 5/5 Wow, this is a must-have. The fish is cooked to perfection and literally melts in your mouth. The skin is nice and crispy, but not burnt. The miso sauce is amazing - adds a nice sweetness to it, but you can still taste the underlying fish underneath. Crispy Rice - 3/5 Thought this was very average. The crispy rice were less crispy, and more crunchy (not the best texture to my taste). The spicy tuna was good... but not anything special, which was underwhelming for the price.
Be the first to ReplyOverall it was a fabulous first-time experience.
The food was incredible and lived up to its reputation! The staff was also extremely friendly and accommodating as well. The reason why I am giving this location a 4/5 stars is that as far as the atmosphere, we did make a reservation 2 weeks out in advance and got seated not in the main dining room, but in the upper level--which felt less of a upscale dining experience compared to downstairs. Overall, a great place and would definitely come again! And would love the chance to be seated downstairs.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a great experience at Nobu.
Waiter was excellent. Great recommendations. Each course was better and better.
Be the first to ReplyI had the best time with my bestie for a Birthday dinner
I had the best time with my bestie for a Birthday dinner here. It is the standard of fine dining and I would say it is Japanese fusion. The interior is beautiful and the ambiance is lovely.Started with the passion fruit Margherita-- was amazing! We had Miso soup after. Next, we had shishito peppers, which were not spicy at all and delicious! I was so pleasantly surprised because, to my knowledge, they were spicy and intimidating. The main course was the Miso Cod. This was so amazing and flavourful. It was also the perfect portion and left me satisfied. For dessert, I had cheesecake-- which was pretty good but not my favorite. I recommend this place for someone who appreciates fine dining or celebrating a special occasion or going on a romantic date.

Great service! Great ambiance! We sat downstairs and it's so beautiful down there. We celebrated my boyfriend's 30th birthday and had an amazing time. It was very memorable. Everyone should go here at least once! I've gone many times because the food is absolutely amazing!!! Best sushi ever!!
Be the first to ReplyI understand the appeal of a Nobu type establishment.
It offers a certain level of service that is hard to match. I was also pleasantly surprised that I was full after what I ordered. Got the miso soup, crispy rice, Wagyu, cod and Japanese eel and sea urchin. Eel is always a hit. Quality of fish was really good and fairly sizable. I was impressed. The ambiance is simple and quiet. Good quality fish. Will go back on someone else's tab for sure

A group of us came to Nobu Downtown after a work event, and we were a little nervous that we didn't make any reservations beforehand; fortunately, we were able to be seated right away!We ordered the following to share:+Baby Corn, Honey Truffle+Toro Tartare with Caviar+Yellowtail Tartare with Caviar+Yellowtail Jalapeno+Tuna Tataki with Tosazu+Crispy Rice with Spicy Avocado+Lobster Ceviche+Black Cod with Miso+Rock Shrimp Tempura with Creamy Spicy Sauce (there was an option to get ponzu, too)+Shrimp and Lobster with Spicy Lemon Sauce+King Crab Tempura Amazu Ponzu+and, Rib Eye with Yuzu Honey TruffleI also tried their specialty cocktail, the Monkey Business - this was prepared with SelvaRey white rum, coconut rum, monk fruit, black orchid syrup, banana du bresil, and plum bitters.I honestly thought our experience at the Malibu location was so much better; the place is classy, but it was a bit too dark/dim. Service was a bit of a hit-or-miss.Definitely a good spot for HH with shareable eats if you're in the area.+hit-or-miss service+walk-ins are accepted

Heard good things about Nobu so wanted to see what was the hype. Will definitely not be going back. We did the omakase meal. Portions were super tiny, which is not too out of the norm for high end restaurants. Service could've been better, the wait time between each dish was too long. My biggest gripe though was how everything was pretty mediocre. There wasn't a dish that really wowed me. The Wagyu was solid - texture was nice and melted in your mouth- but nothing exceptional. Definitely not worth the 220 plus dollars Nobu charges for the omakase meal.NYC has so many other sushi restaurants, many of which are significantly cheaper and better tasting. Recommend checking out so some of the other Michelin star ones. Many of them offer a dining experience worthy of their hype. Nobu sadly is not one of them

I don't think I've been to the Downtown one before so this was my first time. The place is nice and the ambience is very calm and romantic. Our waitress was amazing (I forgot to ask her name), she knew what she was talking about and the service was exceptional. The food here was good but pricey and portions are small. Make sure to order some sushi with the hot and cold plates if you're still hungry. But that was expected. Overall, I would come here again to celebrate something special.
Be the first to ReplyNobu means no food in English the shrimp tasted processed,
Nobu means no food in English the shrimp tasted processed, wagyu was 76 dollars (I could've gotten a Bone in Ribeye) and they served half a lobster for the price of a whole one overall not worth the money. I love fine dining but also like to feel like I ate. I wish I could give no stars
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Nobu location.
On par with Nobu quality of other locations. They were able to seat my party of three without a reservation. Service was great as well. For first timers I recommend the yellowtail jalapeรฑo, spicy tuna crispy rice, and black miso cod. Can't go wrong with any of those options.
Be the first to ReplyFor me this place was definitely not worth the price.
The food was mostly very skimpy in portion, and most of the dishes were OK at best. The two stars it gains are for the ambiance and the diligent workers who continued to refill our water and plates throughout the evening. The waiter for our table kept pushing us to order more things, and without asking us, brought us edamame which we thought was complimentary (it was not). He also "mistakenly" gave us two dishes of scallops rather than one, when we had clearly ordered one scallop + one octopus. We articulated it twice during ordering, so it's hard to imagine that this was a mistake. (Not-so-coincidentally, scallops are expensive.)The two dishes recommended by the server -- the yellowtail jalapeรฑo & tiradito -- were both way too spice-heavy for me to properly taste the fish. I enjoyed two other dishes we ordered. The salmon tacos had plenty of fish to balance out the spices. The black cod with miso was also delicious. If you are looking for traditional Japanese food, this is certainly not your destination. And if you are looking for well-executed fusion Japanese food, I'm confident that you can find other places for significantly better prices. One that wouldn't leave you feeling hungry after spending close to $100.It also did not help that they surprise-notified us, after we got there, that they weren't able to serve any hot dishes due to some sort of issues with the kitchen. If that's the case, they should have notified us earlier so we could prepare an alternative, or at least provide some sort of accommodation for the sudden lack of value, instead of trying to suck as much money out of us while we stuck to the comparatively less expensive cold dishes.Probably will never go back, and would also not recommend it to anyone.
Be the first to ReplyReally want to give this place a 4.
5 but Yelp doesn't allow half stars yet. If you don't know about Nobu, you should know that it is EXPENSIVE!! Look at the menu before you go, check Yelp pics and decide what you'll order. It is definitely fine dining and very much attentive. They quickly removed and replaced any dirty plates in sight. I love attention to detail. They lost half a star because for dessert I order the bento box which was a lava brownie cake with green tea ice cream. I asked to sub the green tea for vanilla and I was charged $5 which I think was tacky after a $305 bill before gratuity. The downtown location is located inside of an old bank so there are high ceilings and columns that are eye catching. There is additional seating in the basement. Even with 2 floors of seating this place was full and getting reservations the day of isn't always promised so definitely make reservations. I can't deny that the food was good, but the prices were simply astronomical. The crispy rice with tuna is a nice pair, but $32 worth? Nope, it's not a meal nor is it filling. The rock shrimp is better appetizer and tastes like heaven. ย The black cod is totally worth the hype, I was expecting it to be overrated. I loved every bite of it. The beef tenderloin is a good option after that with the spicy sauce. Since these items doesn't come with anything to eat it with, I had cauliflower on the side. Nothing spectacular. For dessert I had the lava cake mentioned above. Ice cream and a pastry is always my go to and never disappoint. ย The lychee martini was also really good!I enjoyed my meal and my time here so I'd definitely recommend for a special occasion or even better, a business meal that a company is paying for. See the pics that came up to $305 pre gratuity lol
