Be the first to ReplyHORRIBLE HORRIBLE CHEATS.
i went to pick up a takeout. I ordered the crispy beef but the maitre advised me to get the Fiery beef, saying the Crispy beef will be mushy when i get home. I agreed to Fierybeef, waited 30 minutes, but when i got home it was a SUPERTINY portion of "Crispybeef",now Mushybeef. However, i was charged $64 instead of $58, PLUS A TINY portion of saltless, tasteless, cheap sticky steamed rice for an EXTRA $28. Charged A total of $102.00 plus wanted a 20% tip. PLUS $20 for parking. WHAT A RIPOFF. STAY AWAY HERE. DISGUSTING OPPORTUNISTS. MEDIOCRE CRAPPY FOOD
Be the first to ReplyFood was excellent and the service was superb.
We celebrated a birthday and we had a wonderful dinner
Be the first to ReplyTasteless, very small portions and expensive.
This place is just not good to be be quite frank. Not sure how they keep the lights on.

We attended for Valentine's Day and we requested the regular menu selection on our 6:30pm reservation they forced us to do the pre fix menu, the royal kir champagne was terrible and which is not what I would drink ever, as I did not want my drink or menu items forced or selected for me. They lied and told me this was my only option and I could not order off the regular menu. Everyone else ordered off the regular menu. Being Valentine's Day I drove one hour to go there and I brought friends with me a table of 4 they forced us to eat meat and chicken on lent which is against our religion Will never go back. We asked them several times and they said this is your only option which was lies we spent $1,130 on way too many items that we did not want to order and got terrible champagne that we definitely did not want. I'm extremely upset this Valentine's Day, I wanted to select my own food and drink- the dessert was extremely disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyWow what a drop of disgusting presentation of Michael Chow.
Sad to see the Rockin 70's hang out for greatness turn into a "Time to throw the towel in situation". Happy to say back in the day we all loved our parties here. Michael & Tina rocked the food party in BH for sure. Happy 2024!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, service, atmosphere.
A little bit on the expensive side but worth it for what you are getting. A little sad it's not a busy as it was years ago. It should have more attendance.
Be the first to ReplyFun place, ambience nice.
Food portions sucked. Good food but little portions. $500 to leave hungry.

Where do I begin? This so called fusion Chinese food or whatever they serve is a disgrace to every restaurant in the world 1. Shark fin soup- this is basically Chinese buffet quality sea food soup with not so fresh crab meat. The fake shark fin which is mung bean noodle was hard to eat. 2. The lobster noodle- lobster was dry. Noodle was a mess of ball. Only flavor was garlic. 3. Bakchoy- this is just beyond sad. Overly cooked and small and bad quality bak choy 4. Sea bass- never tasted such rubber like sea bass. No flavor 5. Shrimp- i don't think thumb nail size is worth $60 6. Fried rice- even street vendor can do a better job. Never seen fried rice with rice sticker together like rice ball. Overall, over priced, bad taste, and lower quality than even cheap Chinese buffet. Pathetic

Quintessential LA restaurant known to be very sceney, attracting the wealthy while serving mediocre, below average food. Some dishes were edible, most unworthy of the caloric intake. Panda Express is better than this, truly. I cannot fathom why this restaurant continues to have a home in Beverly Hills, charges exorbitant prices ($135/pp for our group) and attracts the upper middle class to host events and birthday parties here. Their fame is embarrassing to LA's Chinese food and food scene in general. Service is rude, rushed and not notable. This experience was offensive to me.
Be the first to ReplyFood and cocktails were fantastic.
Service team was very friendly and fun. Watching the noodles being made was a first! Unfortunately the sound level made a conversation a little challenging. Others also struggled as I could hear their raised voices trying to talk with their table mates too - so that was the only drawback.

I like to eat somewhere we don't have at home when traveling and have seen Mr. Chow's on tv shows so we gave it a try. We spent over $300 for dinner for 2 and left with basically all of our food. The duck really reminded me of Christmas vacation and the turkey. It was quite dry and just unimpressed. We had the lettuce wraps but they almost looked pink in color. The rice at Benihana is way better and while I like seafood my wife does not so there was a lot of very seafood forward dishes. We opted for valet and they lost our car. While we stood in the rain waiting we were approached and asked for help to get a warm meal. We offered our $300 worth off food and got cussed out by the woman who approached us. Service was good and staff were friendly. But overpriced and not very good. I don't mind paying for a nice dinner but I think I prefer Panda Express. I won't be taking restaurant recommendations from Million Dollar Listing LA anymore.
Be the first to ReplyClassic and never disappoints.
I've been frequenting this place with my wife and kids for over a decade and we've loved each visit. Our favorite place to bring out of town visitors and business clients alike. 3 thumbs up!

How are there such bad reviews on service and food?? The service was perfection. They had so much staff, were so attentive, kind, and accommodating. The food was delicious. We had the noodles, crispy beef (could have used more beef and less breading), gambler's duck (my favorite), and the glazed walnut prawns (excellent). The martinis were clearly perfected over time. The entire ambiance is a classy Miami vice feel. As locals, my husband and I look forward to coming back.

Be the first to ReplyMy mom and Inlove the restaurant and have fir many years.
We recommend and don't forget to try the noodles...Mmm Mmm Good! -Ron
Be the first to ReplyOur family has been going to Mr Chows for decades.
In the past few years the service has changed drastically. There used to be table side service and waiters to clean the tables and cold champagne and fresh cold martinis. The food was hot and fresh. It was a taste you couldn't get anywhere else. Now it's just overcrowded and no more je ne sais quoi. They are literally making lychee martini ahead of time and having them stacked at the bar. The rice has a displeasing amount of asparagus and soy beans in it. There are uneven cuts and pieces of shrimp in it as well. The chicken satay looks like vomit. The crispy beef is NOT BEEF! No shrimp toast. And the duck has been replaced with basically confit duck. It's weird. It's so dark and they even stack food by the restrooms.
Be the first to ReplyAwful place.
The valet was incredibly mean, yelling orders at me, and wasn't clear as to where he wanted me to go. The food is terrible and overpriced.

Be the first to Replystill one of the best restaurants in Beverly Hills.
been going for 35 years .great for special occasions or just because. We love everything on the menu. literally can't go on wrong with anything you order and the staff is just amazing. If you want incredible Asian Food and a unique experience. Go with a group of friends or a significant other or your family. It is always a great time!
Be the first to ReplyThe worst food I have ever tried.
This restaurant should do Los Angeles a favor and close. I can't recommend eating elsewhere more and truly am confounded as to why this place still exists and charges the amount it does. I can't say enough bad things.

We went to town and ordered almost everything. The duck, fiery beef, noodles and cocktails were amazing. We guzzled the lychee martinis like they were water. Fantastic group experience. Pricey, but the ambiance and service made it worth it. Love the smell of of lilies everywhere. Such a good time.
