Overpriced, Pushy Service, Overall Terrible
Terrible Chinese food served by used car salesmen masquerading as waiters. Don't buy their hard push for the fixed price menu. Stick with the a la carte menu if you must go here. There are countless better options in the area.

FANTABULOUS! wonderful service - great atmosphere and the noodle presentation was UNREAL! thank you Mr Chow.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food and world class staff!
Everything concerning the food was exeptional. The only thing about the restaurant was that it's really noisy.
Be the first to ReplyNot what was expected
Very small portion size, food is pretty bland, supposed to be chic decor filled with art, I saw like two paintings and worst of all it is extremely over priced. Service however was the only thing half decent about Mr Chow Beverly Hills. It was my first and definitely my last time dining there.
Be the first to ReplyToo Expensive for What You Get
Glad this was a business dinner (and a fun and enjoyable one at that!) because I would have hated paying out of pocket. The food is delicious, the service sharp & impeccable, the drinks perfectly made, the sommelier friendly & no fuss. But the prices? Astronomical. With tax, tip, and a bottle of wine, you're looking at $200-250 per person easily (our tab for 2 came out to $651 all in). You can get an equivalent or better meal for far less elsewhere. If you insist on experiencing it because of the hype, just no that the hype comes with a hefty gab.

Ummm…decent food but the prices are high. Too high. My husband and I enjoyed the prix fix menu and it was right at $300. I’ve seen several reviews regarding bad service, but the service that we had tonight with unbeatable. So many servers running around asking if we need anything , offering help, etc. I have not had that kind of service in a very long time from anywhere. The portions that we had were good enough for us, but if they were more than two of us, then, absolutely not .

We went here because it looks very enticing from the street with outdoor heated dining, but that façade hides a very overpriced marginal quality food, with marginal service experience. We should’ve left after the hostess kept us waiting in the bar for a half hour promising we’d be seated any moment— of those people that acts like she wants to be helpful, but has no intention of actually being so. When we were seated, the assistant waiter tried to push glasses of champagne on us that ranged up to $86 per glass. We expressed no interest and asked for the menus. 10 minutes later, we asked the busboy for the menus and still didn’t get them. It took almost a half hour to finally get the headwaiter’s attention to get him to come over to our table and provide menus, and we were super hungry. We got the impression that they’re really trying to sell you and not service you you. The food all tastes the same, and the portions are very small, but what’s so disturbing is how grossly overpriced things are, and it’s a total rip off. The chicken satay is $18 and you would normally expect multiple skewers for that. They asked me how many we wanted and we asked for four skewers, thinking it was an odd question at the time…not thinking we were ordering four portions. Each chicken satay is one strip of chicken pounded flat a little bit wider than a piece of bacon about half as long. At $18 each, this turned out to be a $72 surprise on our bill. The Beijing chicken is $54 and served no bigger than a small shallow oval salad plate (the standard here) and double what it should cost. The mixed vegetables were the same at $32 and the same tiny portion size. The bottom line is this place is trading on location and some long ago gone reputation. Do not go, and tell your friends not to go.

We made a reservation several weeks ago for Valentine's Day (which also happens to be my husband's birthday). V Day is hard to get reservations, for, yes? That's why we made them so far in advance. And as I said, my husband's birthday. And just a few days before we are supposed to go, we get a call from the restaurant that they "just decided" their menu for that day will be a $225 price fixed menu! (On some level they must have known this wasn't cool to spring on people & they should have noted that on the reservation page like every other app.) So, only one star because we never go a chance to taste their over-priced food.

If you are looking for a place to have a special meal look no further than Mr. Chow. From the service to the food and drinks everything is amazing. They have been consistently good for so long you forget how hard that is to do. Thanks for a great meal.
Be the first to ReplyVery poor food
Really poor, bland food with odd textures and seemed to lack any seasoning at all! The chicken satay was bright orange and absolutely tasteless! The velvet chicken again, completely tasteless. We didn’t eat the majority of the food and left $800 lighter!! We ate at crustacean the previous night and the food was exquisite.
Be the first to ReplyMIGHTY RIPOFF - CRAZY HOW ONLY WE DISLIKE IT
If only i read peoples reviews before i forked out $288 A total ripoff and the food is a disgrace for the price One chicken satay $18 a chicken nugget at McDonalds has more chicken The noodles and mixed vegetables were extremely small in portions Our main meal was the beef ($70) for 8 slices of supposedly filet mignon Go to the local butcher and you would find better quality Both Archie and Madison recent reviews are spot on - stay clear of this total RIPOFF
Be the first to ReplyOh dear .. have deep pockets and no appetite
Food mud to lower typical Chinese. Small portion at horrendous prices. If you are hungry order two main courses at well over $100. A complete rip off. London Mr Chow is better. Service is mediocre .. I took a party of four and after we left, we found a McDonalds and had four Bug Macs with large fries and ate the lot.
Be the first to ReplyConsistently Brillant.
Mr chows Beverly Hills is always good. We have been to most of them. First time to BH. Order what they are famous for and to the pre fixe. Best deal. Highly recommend

Not good. We came here thinking it would be amazing. smallest portions not good food and ppl trying to get us more food. all these potions are more than $50 each and it’s not family style. it’s enough for 2 people to eat. not good I don’t recommend and you will leave here starving.
Be the first to ReplyGood service but they were out of many items on the menu which was disappointing
We wanted to order some of the signature dishes since it was the first time at this restaurant. They were out of so many items on the menu that they should have a revised shorter menu. We wasted too much time discussing and picking items we could not get! The food is average although the price is expensive. I have eaten at far better Chinese restaurants for half the price. The best items we had were the chicken satay and the green shrimp. The duck was the most disappointing of the courses especially because the hoisin sauce lacked flavor as if it were watered down. We will not be going back.

Pekín Duck exquisite…
Excellent service!!
Great food!
Wonderful evening!!!
As always every time we have dinner in Mr. Chow it’s a great experience.
The service is impecable.
Congratulations
Exceptional service with great food.
In Beverly Hills, there are so many choices for a lovely dining experience. We were in town on business and needed a quick dinner. Mr. Chow delivered.
First, we had no reservation. Yet, the hostess could not have been nicer and found us a comfortable location to sit within ten minutes. The seating was comfortable and the staff was very dedicated to providing safety by wearing gloves, a mask and face shield.
Our server was Scott who went out of his way to spend time with us and treat us to a wonderful evening. He recommended dishes which turned out just right.
The crispy beef was tender yet with the crisp texture, one found that this dish was a favorite.
Mr. Chow's noodles were as ordered, delicisious.
The chicken satay was good but only above average.
We found the rice to have a unique style which was a nice surprise.
The scallion pancakes and water dumplings also were very good.
Overall, the food and service were a welcome experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
How?
The food is not good. The service is casual. I am dumbfounded that people go to this restaurant. The duck was dry. The lettuce wrap had this bland ground chicken. The water dumplings were ok. The shrimp fried rice had no taste. The prawns were good. It’s just wild how unmemorable the food is and the amount they charge like it’s fine cuisine.
Be the first to ReplyA dreadful dining experience
We are still talking about our dreadful dining experience 3 weeks on!!! Food terrible. Service poor. Restaurant decor, tired. Value for money is absolutely jaw dropping. So much wrong with this overhyped restaurant that I won't waste your time with pages of complaints.
Time to close this joint!!!!!
Poor at best!!
Don’t get it. The food is really poor at best. Not one dish was great. The duck was really fatty and not good at all. They leave waaaaay too much fat on the skin (see pics; disgusting). We travel (the world) to eat, this was really the least appetizing duck we have ever had. If you want a great Peking Duck, try Komodo in Miami. That is well done. We do not get the hype of Mr. Chow. Really not good. For your convenience, I am leaving you a picture of the menu from 2018, and one from this evening. Compare prices. My son gave me these two pics.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food made average by service
The Beijing chicken is amazing, came highly recommended by a Silicon Valley client. The dish didn't disappoint. Family style vegetables, rice, and other plates were moderately rich and delicious. The service was odd. The servers went from literally yanking the menu from my hands as I was still ordering to ignoring a THIRD request for rice and no one coming to the table for the last 30 minutes. Needless to say, I felt rushed to order in the beginning and ignored to check out...maybe a good thing in mid day rush hour, if one is planning on just dropping cash at the table and leaving but horrible for a leisurely dinner.
Be the first to ReplyReally? at these prices... Why are you still in business?
yes .... we got the treatment for Mr. Chow's ........ but why did I come here? ......... (Birthday party) yes.... funny yes........ but not funny...... I don't need to say I went to Mr. Chow's for my birthday...... dishes so small for a 40.00 dollar price per small dish.... are you joning? The chicken was horrible.......... Really folks.. I really cannot believe how bad it is......... It was a very bad experience especially for Beverly Hills I came here 20 years ago ... what's up now?
.......... but why would you go here today? They need to revamp menu ... dishes... waitors..... come on.. we expect more than this ... I would never return to this restaurant ... I'm sorry but really?
