Stars mainly for the staff!
We choose this place for a spontaneous family brunch. We arrived early, so we waited just around 20 minutes for a table. They gave us a table large enough for the baby and stroller. The service was generally nice and attentive. The restaurant however not really. The round sofa we were sitting on was not properly cleaned. And the food nothing special either. It is great though that they have vegan options and replace egg by tofu. I got a tofu scramble, which tasted ok. But there is certainly room for improvement when it comes to the presentation of the food. Overall an OK experience. Value for money more on the low side. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.
Be the first to ReplyVery yummy, excessive wait time
A fantastic choice of items on their brunch menu and the best Bloody Mary Iโve ever had made this a really good place to visit. The wait for a table was excessive considering there were a large number of empty tables available, as well as seats at the bar. Feels a bit like creating a sense of demand that might not always be representative. The food was great. Chicken and waffles were good, as were the thick cut bacon sides! Would go here again, but could do without the 20 min wait in the rain (canโt blame the restaurant for the weather!)
Be the first to ReplyUnique Breakfast Destination!
When preparing for a trip to Italy we received the best travel advice that we can recall and we have tried to apply it on each subsequent travel adventure. When facing the daunting task of attempting to experience all that Florence has to offer, the advice we received was: โyou donโt โdoโ Florence.โ The application is simple enough. Florence offers such an extraordinary collection of experiences that if you attempt to cram everything in during a single trip youโll end up exhausted and more numb than truly appreciative of what youโve seen and done. Better to pace yourself and plan return visits. Following up on the recommendation of @1ehernandez, we had similar feelings when reviewing the menu at this restaurant. Their menu offers such a complex collection of intriguing options that we immediately concluded that you donโt โdoโ Morning Glory in a single visit. Clearly additional visits are required in order to gain a fuller understanding of this unique breakfast destination and the irony was not lost on us that it is located within the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego. One of the most creative (and slightly intimidating) menus that Iโve seen, both our Lobster Omelette and Chorizo Grande were just as satisfying as we had hoped and my coffee being poured from a Turkish pot elevated the quality of our experience even further. The dining room features an indoor/outdoor concept, so dress accordingly when visiting. During our visit it was 62 degrees and the sweaters we were wearing were appreciated. (Hey, for San Diego this is the dead of Winter and appropriate precautions must be taken to ensure oneโs personal safety. ๐) While youโll have ample opportunities to visit given that their doors stay open until 3:00 (4:00 on weekends), weโd recommend making a reservation because this place is popular and walk-inโs having to wait to be seated is not uncommon. And thatโsโฆHenryโs Take. #breakfastinsandiego
Be the first to ReplyUnique and delicious
The best brunch ever! We went early and only waited 15 minutes for a table for 2. The food was so unique and delicious and the service was excellent! We highly recommend the soufflรฉ pancakes, creamy potatoes, and pasta carbonara.
Be the first to ReplySOUFFLร PANCAKES
This was one of the coolest places Iv ever seen in my life. Awesome looking restaurant. The food was fantastic. The soufflรฉ pancakes are AMAZING. Do yourself a favor and get some.
Be the first to ReplyOverhyped but still enjoyble
As the only Michelin Bib Gourmand breakfast joint in America Morning Glory has definitely earned its accolades, though for those interested in a peaceful Brunch the space known for two-hour waits and n-bomb laden music at high decibels may not be worth the effort. Owned by Consortium Holdings, a no reservations policy and central positioning in Little Italy creating a scene each day, it is after a line up stairs to put oneโs name on the list that guests are free to wander until texted, the same staircase eventually yielding access to a second story space lined in pink and kitsch. Purporting โbreakfast dim sum,โ the cart barely ever moving through tightly-packed tables, diners are invited to select from a supersized menu full of odd fonts and globally inspired fare ranging Fried Rice to Japanese Pancakes and Georgian Boat Bread. A difficult decision for just two, Souffle Pancakes an obvious choice that compares favorably to those found in the San Gabriel Valley, it was at the bar that Quesabirria proved competent despite lacking the complexity of many while the Skillet Pancake is shareable by a family and loaded with good Ingredients.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous breakfast
Fabulous belated birthday celebration with my cousin and her boyfriend. 45 minute wait, Monday afternoon. Not bad we enjoyed walking around little Italy. Portia was our excellent server. Food was delicious!! Service and ambiance was outstanding!!
Be the first to ReplyEgg burritos for all!
Egg burritos!!! Stopped in with a group in town on business. We had quite a few things from the menu, but when I ordered an egg burrito, it took top prize. My other item was an aรงaรญ bowl which was huge, and tasty. ๐๐ป We called in an order for seven burritos the next day, and the employee sounded to be in disbelief, but we had to have more! Great place with very prompt service.

Although we waited 75 minutes to get in, well worth the wait. Excellent and unique cocktails and food. Cool vibe in a cool area of San Diego. Recommend you show up BEFORE they open and just get in line.
Be the first to ReplyThe place for breakfast
Get there early or you have to stand in line. This is a totally funky place with an interesting menu. I had the veggie scramble and it was delicious. It is very open so if it rains you may get wet. Totally worth the experience.
Be the first to Replyfor food and aesthetic lovers
The aesthetic and atmosphere of the restaurant is really cool, be ready to put your phone out and take tons of cool shots. Service is good and friendly, coffee is soo good so we started out well. The food is delicious, definitely worth it, the bacon is like an inch thick lol and you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Plenty of food options for vegetarians and vegans, overall a really cool place to hang out, eat good food and listen to good music. The brunch spot to hang out with friends. Beware that there are only two restrooms available for the whole place so yeah thatยดs definitely a bummer, be ready to hang tight on a line but other than that itยดs the best option around, itยดs an experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat outdoor service and vibe
Hostess and servers were friendly and accommodating right off the bat. We told the hostess that we needed to catch a flight soon and she was able to immediately seat us at the bar. The service was friendly and the food was very tasty. For outdoor seating this is definitely the place to go. For the food, we had the carbonara and the Belgian waffle. Both were executed well and tasted amazing. Highly recommend the carbonara as it was absolutely delicious!
Be the first to ReplyUndercooked bread!
Heard so much about this place that got us so eager to try it out. We went for lunch and waited 45mins on a Friday which is fine with us. When we finally got a table, we were sat at the smallest table at a weird corner that can barely sit 2 people. It was such a bummer that the food that was recommended by our waitress was not at all eatable. We ordered the soufflรฉ pancakes- very weird texture, Khacapuri- the bread was not cooked in the middle, thick cut bacon- texture was tough and very dry. The only thing that was quite good- sausages. We did not eat the undercooked bread and told our waitress about it. Instead of taking the item off our check, the manager only took off 15% off from that one item. She said that's because we ate a few bites of the bread already. Unbelievable!!! We paid the bill and left the place still hungry. Also, my friend went to the bathroom and it was very dirty and unsanitary. Don't recommend this place at all.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing brunch spot
After my first attempt at dining here I had to give up with the long wait time. Luckily the 2nd time was on a weekday and the wait was so worth it. This is a really popular brunch spot and you can only do reservations in person. Luckily theres a farmers market and cafes all around to kill some time. My friends and I ordered everything from the souffle pancakes, chicken and waffles, Morning Glory fried rice, breakfast carbonara, and the American breakfast. Everything here was cooked and seasoned well. The pork belly in the carbonara and fried rice were perfect. The chicken was fried extra crispy and the combination of sweet uncut maple syrup added some sweet flavors to it. Food and service here definitely deserve 5 stars. The ambience and decor inside were stunning. Take some time to admire the ceiling mirrors and outdoor patio. The breakfast cocktails were delicious as well. Highly recommend the Lychee Loma, Morning Glory Fizz, and the Hurricane 75. This is must go restaurant if you want some creative cocktails and delicious brunch options.
Be the first to ReplyMagnificent Morning Glory
This place is amazing. The Souffle Pancakes are a must, but the Lobster Benny was simply amazing!!!! This great spot in Little Italy is just so good. They also have a Dim Sum breakfast cart. The restaurant has a very fun decor but the food is the star. I would suggest going early because this is a very popular spot.
Be the first to ReplyLoved it
The wait was around an hour and even still, it was worth it. Cool breakfast cocktails. I do wish they had more than 2 restrooms, the line for them is truly just too long. Staff was great and I loved the bodega queen! The food was really nice also.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely incredible
WORTH THE WAIT!! Did we have to wait 2 hours for a table even though we went when they opened on a week day? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely and I would do it again. This was a must do on our list while visiting San Diego, and Iโm so glad we did! The food was absolutely incredible, the ambiance was cool and the bathrooms had heated toilet seats. Come here for the food, for the funky decor, the ultra glam bathroom or the friendly waitstaff - whatever your reason, make this a must do!
Be the first to ReplyGo here ... worth the wait.
I can not say enough about this gem. The wiat is worth it. It is so Exceptionally Eccentric!! The menu is creative and delish. The atmosphere can not be mimicked. The staff is amazing. They have a Champagne vending machine and heated toilet seats! Enough said. Go here. You will not be sorry!!
Be the first to ReplyHuge portions, excellent food
Morning Glory is an upscale, upbeat breakfast and brunch restaurant. Expect a long line all the time, but it is well worth the wait. Decor is upscale with a definite vibe. Service is good. Menu is very unusual with lots of choices. Skillet pancake is huge, enough for two. Very tasty. German pancake also large and excellent. Many types of coffees, hot chocolate and alcoholic drinks. Prices are reasonable. Great outdoor seating area.
Be the first to ReplyPortions big enough for 2, but so tasty you will want to be selfish!
After seeing a huge line for 3 days, we got there when it opened so that we could see what all of the fuss is about. The menu is funky, fun, and original. The restaurant is beautiful with interesting details everywhere we looked. We sat across from where the food was served, and everything on the plates looked amazing. Warning: the skillet blueberry pancake is delicious and could feed multiple people. My brioche french toast with berries, whipped cream, and lemon curd was the right balance of sweet and tart. If you have the time to wait in line, you will be rewarded.

The place is so cute and instagramable for the youngins!
This restaurant is infused between Asian, Latin and American, to be completely honest the food is mediocre, I ordered their famous Pork belly Fried Rice and they are very soggy though I will give them 5 stars for the presentation. The drinks are so so, Thai Ice Tea with alcohol is bitter, Bellinis is good, breakfast shots are ok!
We have to wait for 40 mins to be seated, they donโt take any reservation.
Verdict: MAYBE I will not come back!
Very nice, too little time to enjoy it.
Too many people always trying to get in.....too bad they close early, not enough time to acomodate all of their customers.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional and unique breakfast spot
I only give 5 stars for something that truly exceeds expectations, and thatโs the story with Morning Glory. Everything about this place was exceptional, from the remarkable and eccentric interior design and attentive service to the unique menu and wonderful food. The soufflรฉ pancakes, breakfast carbonara and smoked salmon Benedict were simply delicious. We walked right in, but there was a long line when we left. Very well might be worth the wait.

Close to hour waitโฆ love the space& food was great. The atmosphere was so good. I will 100% come back. Egg&butter dish we loved it. The goat cheese omelette I will pass ( personal choice) staff was very nice. Presentation was everything

Oh My God(read like Janice๐คฃ)
Iโve been here for their very popular soufflรฉ pancake and Irish coffee. Pancake was the best, seriously the best. My hot Irish coffee was good but the alcohol was super strong , specially for breakfast haha. Also a little pricy. But it absolutely worth it. The place is incredibly beautiful and unique. I will definitely go back, and i also highly recommend you to try this place.
