Excellent food and drink menu
After long day of traveling, a perfect place to finish the day. Connected to the hotel with an outstanding cocktail menu
Be the first to ReplySmall Restaurant with Solid Food
Had dinner here on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is small which is really nice and makes for an intimate experience. All of the food was rather tasty and seemed fresh. The pasta did not seem homemade which was a little disappointing for the price. I am not a whiskey drinker but they seemed to have a huge selection. The location is really cool allowing for a direct view of Wrigley Field. I wouldn't run back but I would go back if in the area.

We were looking forward to our visit to this highly recommended spot. The drinks and food were good, but not exceptional. Service just ok. Truthfully, I usually only write positive reviews, but this was just such a disappointment on two levels which could have been avoided. I ordered the Mordecai Burger and since it came with only lettuce, onion and pickle, I asked to have a slice of tomato, too. The server said sure I’ll let them know, when the burger arrived, I asked where the tomato was since it came without it, and I was told it would be a $5 up charge for a slice of tomato, which she forgot to come back and tell me. At that point I wasn’t going to change my order, Since the food was already there, but there was another BLT burger on the menu that had a tomato included (for the same price as the other one); so had she told me in advance, I would have changed my order. In the end, the burger was fine, but not what I wanted for the price. Secondly, when you make a reservation, you are charged a $25 fee that is “applied” to your check. What they don’t tell you is that they only credit $ 20 to your bill and automatically add a $5 tip. Again, I always tip generously (most times at least 25%), and I have been to other places that ask for a donation to an employee fund, which I am all for, but the information provided about the $25 is inaccurate, and the client didn’t have a choice, it was automatically added to the bill. Just be honest with people, especially if it’s to support your employees benefits, etc. There are so many great restaurants in Chicago, it was disappointing to have this experience.

Poor service & Average food
We live in the neighborhood - a block away. Of all the new-ish restaurants in the recently-reinvigorated Wrigley Field area, this is one of the most disappointing. While the cocktails may be good, the wine list and beer selections are very weak. The food is at best average, and the service was mediocre, though I largely blame the kitchen and bar, not our server. There are many better options right nearby. Dutch & Docs, 50’ away, is significantly better all around. Best to avoid.
Great Whiskey Bar
You like bourbon, rye, whiskey you will absolutely love this place. Gigantic selection of the good stuff at all price ranges. Great service and beautifully decorated bar. Highly recommended.

Good location in town with Mexican menu to choose your favorite. Great deserts for that after dinner treat.

Top notch bourbon, whiskey, rye bar. Extensive list of bourbon, rye, whiskey. From $15 a pour to several hundred. Great old fashioneds too. Plenty of TVs to watch a game. Bar service is excellent.
Be the first to ReplyGood Spot for Pre Cubs Game
Located directly across the street from Wrigley Stadium. A bit pricy. Most unusual fish and chips as the chips are what the Brits call crisps. But the fish was great.

There wasn't a Scotch flight on the menu, but they happily accomodated my fiance who enjoyed his flight.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Restaurant and Bar Right Across from Wrigley Field
Was at the Automate convention at McCormick in Chicago and got done early. Decided to go enjoy the spark of the Cubs winning their home opener (10-0)!
Went to Hotel Zachary across from Wrigley Field and had a late lunch at Mordecai, one of the restaurants in the hotel. Has an open air view of the Cubs ball park. Service is great. Have been here for drinks before and they are excellent.
Had a Wedge Salad and the Tagliatelle Spinach Pasta along with a Matteo Coreggia Roero Nebbiolo wine.
Perfect.
The hotel sales manager even stopped to talk and was very gracious - Pamela Swentek.
A great restaurant next to the ultimate sports venue.
Go - enjoy!
Go for drinks...Skip food
Loved the whiskey drinks and service was attentive. Two of us had fish and chips for 22$ only one piece of fish(think long john silvers size) and fries. It was fine but the portion size is ridiculous for the price.
