Very elegant place to eat, located right in Thornwood of Germantown. Our server, I wish I remembered her name but she was nothing but the most sweetest human. She was very attentive, and very communicative. Bless her heart, hope she is doing well, she made my first experience wonderful!

Moondance is a very nice upscale casual restaurant with very good food & nice atmosphere. I'm especially grateful for the dress code which is a great contributor to the pleasant experience. (Nice to eat dinner & not have to see rotting, dirty ball caps & armpit hair.) All the food we've tried has great. Raw oysters are some of the best: always fresh & clean. Mussel dish the best ever. Lamb chops delicious. Salads, sides & cocktails also excellent. I'd deduct half a star due to last visit. Our waitress was either not in the right job or not trained well (couldn't answer questions about the menu, including specials), was inattentive, did not remove dirty dishes between courses, did not refill water & did not check on us even though restaurant was not busy. But was just this 1 time. We live downtown & make a special trip out to Germantown to go to Moondance. We look forward to our next visit.

Upscale interior in Germantown, spacious interior and soft
Upscale interior in Germantown, spacious interior and soft lit ambiance. Kind of cavernous, but comfortable. Service was very good, on par with Southern Social or Limelight (with Iris, Capital Grill, or Erling Jensen as the high water marks). Food was very good, thought somewhat basic for what is offered. Had swordfish: perfectly cooked, lightly seasoned with a buttery cream-based sauce. Didn't have the rice, as I'm not a huge grain-as-filler person. The broccolini was, gasp, the best thing on the plate. The Brussel sprouts were good, but middle of the road compared to what I've had elsewhere. (What's odd is that this was a Bonefish Grill caliber meal, where Bonefish's Brussels were far superior; though I would, all told, pick Moondance between the two- dress code and proximity to home being the factors that tip the balance.). Others at the table had the short ribs (over-salted and a bit fatty- it was akin to a pot roast) and diver scallops, which looked to be the belle of the ball. The deserts are gargantuan. The cheesecake was good, the brownie I didn't try (not a big chocolate person). The bread pudding, my go-to, was ho-hum (Second Line, Iris, El Mero Taco as the standard bearers here in Memphis). All in all, room for improvement, though a solid showing but lacked the notable flair that should come with high brow cuisine.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with the owner of the business where I work - they share the same anniversary date as us, so were celebrated together at Moondance Grill. Madeline was our server and she was excellent. We enjoyed our cocktails (almost as good as Joshua's) and the food was delicious, prepared excellently and brought out with great timing. The ambience at Moondance Grill is always lively, in large part to the live music played in the bar. Sometimes it can get loud in the bar, but it's never obnoxiously loud. Madeline was so kind as to give both of us couples a congratulatory anniversary card (handwritten and signed by the staff) and also a birthday card for my wife (her birthday was the next day). Both cards were handwritten just for us, including details that were unique to each of us. A very classy touch! Moondance really has the customer service part of dining down to an art - a rare thing in Memphis. Thank you Moondance Grill, for a very enjoyable evening! See you next time!
Southern hospitality in Germantown TN
Reservations allowed, valet parking provided but not necessary, seating was quick and service was prompt. There is a dress code, review the website, but it didn’t appear it was being followed. Food was great.

I went to Moondance for my best friend's birthday and it was good a restaurant. It's a good place for date night or family night. The service was good and professional. The food was good especially the oysters. They do have a dress code which I attached. My friend ordered crab cakes and salmon and liked it.

Since opening, Moondance Grill has consistently provided one of the finest local dinning experiences. So, we often recommend them. A dear friend was celebrating a milestone birthday. So, my wife met her at Moondance Grill for lunch and drinks on a Saturday afternoon. They obviously had a GREAT TIME, because it was 3.5 hours before my wife called me to pick her up.

I stopped in on a Thursday night based upon a recommendation for their lamb chops. The ambiance is very nice, extremely great staff, and a great spread of menu items. I had a martini which was very good. The lobster bisque soup was my favorite. I ordered the lamb chops as my entree. Overall, they were good. I do wish it was seasoned just a little bit more to give it more flavor. Finding parking was a bit difficult, but they do offer valet. I would most definitely return to visit again and look forward to trying a new dish and drink.

I haven't been to back to this restaurant since around mid 2022; The whole dress code thing is pretty disturbing on the highest level. I was at the bar, and a young very well dress couple was seated behind me. Maybe it was a first date, who knows maybe their wedding anniversary. He was wearing a well designed Henley button up the middle tee shirt, and dress pants very sporty, and she dressed very well. They were seated behind me. Once they were seated a few minutes later and I knew it was coming. They got the grim sad, negative news about the dress code regarding the man having to wear a collared shirt. A very depress and angry glazed went over the mans face. They decided to promptly just leave. However their was an older man sitting next to me at the bar, wearing flip flops, a very wrinkled collared shirt and some what tattered shorts. Now here's the interesting thing. This was about 7pm and they were closing at 10pm. Their was no other customer that ever sat at the table the rest of the evening, other wise should have been probably $100 plus table plus tip. I will never go back for that reason alone. It's very cringe worthy to sit their and watch someone else other than myself go through that.

they were pink on the inside. I was only able to eat 2 of them. the mash pot had to be rewarmed. disappointed. I'll only be ordering chicken for now on since they have no other choice but to cook it fully as I requested. Still had to pay the $38 for it. Christin was kind though. Constantly checking on us. That was the only plus. Do better Moondance. I have been coming to you all since before you decide to put the pretzel bread on the menu at a cost and the lamp chops were still an appetizer.

Haven't been to Moondance in a little while, use to go back in 2022, at that time everything I had was good. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food everything I've ever eaten was good. I went to MoonDance Grill germantown and under hand held ordered Lobster Rolls, Connecticut style. When I got rolls they were soggy from some clear liquid. I asked waitress how was I supposed to eat this lumpy creation. She said use napkins and she brought me some extra napkins. I could not taste lobster and only ate the inside of one roll with fork. Was not a pleasing experience.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
