Mistral Boston Reviews from The Last Year
Wonderful anniversary dinner!
We had not been here for a few years but decided to return for a special year anniversary last evening. The ambiance has changed since our last visit, being less classic than modern bistro now, with more noise and a younger clientele. There are tables towards the back that are quieter, and we chose one of them; it was fine, and we could converse normally. The cuisine was wonderful: my spouse had the halibut and I decided on the duck. Both were beautifully prepared and presented. The servings were ample, as was the mussels appetizer that we shared. It was plenty for two, and delicious. We also shared the profiteroles for dessert; it was extraordinary. Grant S, our server was efficient and charming. There is now valet parking available, but metered on street parking is also still available and not far away. Especially for a special occasion, this is still among the very best restaurants in Boston,
For me, this is a guaranteed excellent meal.
This was our birthday and anniversary dinner restaurant for years, like 15 years! But somehow we stopped coming- hadn't been in many years. Decided we were way over due so back we came. It was as wonderful as we remembered. A beautiful dining room with tall windows, gorgeous, comfortable seating. The servers are all professional and provide great service in a friendly, welcoming manner. The tuna appetizer is amazingly fresh and perfectly balanced. I also love the mussels but couldn't get all my faves! The manager heard we had been long time patrons and were back again, he stopped by our table. A nice touch. We had the profiteroles for dessert. Delicious as remembered. There is weekend valet parking but we opted for a nearby garage and a short walk. Happy to be back!

Downgrading due to recent experience with food, noise, and service. We came back for a post-graduation dinner and the place was jammed, noisy, hard to move in between the tables only to find that our party of 8, big people, were seating at a six-top with two extra chairs jammed in. That's straight not OK for a restaurant of this class and prices. The service was OK, the rack of lamb undercooked in two instances, but those fairly major flaws aside, it was pretty good. But restaurants are all about trust and I can longer trust this place to deliver a first-class experience.
Our Easter dinner at Mistral, a French cuisine restaurant
Our Easter dinner at Mistral, a French cuisine restaurant in Boston, was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The star-studded menu, filled with delectable dishes, transformed our evening into an unforgettable gastronomic journey. The Salmon Tartare (special of the day) was a sublime introduction to our meal. It was expertly crafted, offering a symphony of flavors and crunchy texture that danced on our palates. It set the stage for a sensational dining experience that only escalated as the evening progressed. Next, we indulged in the Half Whole Roasted Duck accompanied by an Exotic Mushroom Risotto and Dried Cranberry Gastrique. The duck was cooked to perfection, its succulent flavors wonderfully accentuated by the earthy notes of the mushroom risotto. The dried cranberry gastrique added an unexpected, but welcome, tangy twist, turning the dish into a harmonious blend of flavors. Finally, the Classic Crème Brûlée Raspberries Palmier was the grand finale to our meal. The dessert was a sweet serenade, its creamy texture and raspberry notes creating a memorable melody of sweet indulgence. It was a fitting end to a flawless dining experience. A massive thank you goes out to the entire team at Mistral for their exceptional service and for curating a menu that is a testament to the art of French cuisine.
Loved this place.
Wonderful service and delicious food. When I asked for a better seat they were happy to comply. Highly recommend. Upscale without being stuffy.

Excellent service and fabulous menu and dinner delicious! Driver provided car service to the restaurant and back to the hotel. An enjoyable and memorable experience. Recommended to friends and will be back again on my next trip to Boston.

We celebrated my husband's birthday dinner at Mistral, attracted by its beautiful ambiance and courteous staff. The restaurant's aesthetic is indeed stunning. However, our dining experience was mixed. We tried the white cheese pizza, cornish hen, and fish specials for the night. Unfortunately, the food was only average; the cornish hen was notably too salty for our liking. Dessert, chocolate profiteroles with pistachio ice cream, fell below our expectations. Despite this, the ambiance and vibe of the place are undeniably charming.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Boston!! The food is delicious, the service is excellent (especially my favorite wait person Rodrigo) and all the people at the front desk and manager are terrific! Do not miss this one!!
Food is always delicious here.
I will never go without getting the tuna tartare. It's UNBELIEVABLE and I have been getting it for years. The service is always fantastic. Definitely a busy restaurant but beautiful inside and always a 10/10 experience!

Our experience at Mistral was nothing short of superb, in every aspect. The entire staff--from greeters, to wait staff, to the maitre d'hotel were professional, courteous, friendly, and both knowledgable and proud of the dining experience they were all trying to provide for us. The food was absolutely heavenly--from the ricotta gnocchi in exquisite lamb and red wine sauce appetizer to my wife's entree of delectable salmon in a bacon flavored sauce and my choice of steak au poivre in cognac sauce, to the homemade sorbets to finish our meals. The ambiance in the main salon was everything we sought for this special birthday/Valentine's celebratory meal. The lighting, background music, fine drapes and white tablecloths, nicely dressed guests--all these contributed to our feeling we were at a 5 star restaurant. It was the most special dining experience we have had in many years! Thank you, Mistral!
Mistral is easily one of the busiest and popular
Mistral is easily one of the busiest and popular restaurants in Boston for their upscale fare, and perfect for any small business, group or two-person meal. Parking can be either available through valet or on the street. I recommend doing the valet to save time. Foie gras - this is what you expect and done to perfection. What you will find is a small amount of bread or crackers to add this to, and you may need to ask for more. The texture glides and is as creamy as it gets. I definitely recommend this above all other small bites. Escargot - also cooked just right, the escargot is delivered perfectly in oil and garlic, and holds a soft texture that goes down easy. I would recommend this as well, and it is served up quickly. Duck - the duck option is plentiful, and cooked so very well that you won't get the typical oily or gamey texture. You can tell that they take their time to make this dish, and it is glazed to perfection with a nice light reduction. They were able to split the dish and it turned out to be perfect at this juncture even for two people, or one hungry person. You can't really go wrong here, and the service will be steadfast. The patrons may not be your cup of tea if you're looking for a diverse enclave, but you will find a modern French meal that will be superb.
Lovely place, great atmosphere.
Food is great! I tried the duck and it was delicious. Pizza is a must try, very different than the regular pizzas. The staff were very warm and helpful and guided us well. We ordered the easy sway for drinks, it wasn't too great, but in the non alcoholic options, this one seemed the best. We ordered the beef tenderloin pizza, the thin crust was lovely and truffle oil added richness to it. The beef on top was well cooked and tasted great. For entree we ordered the roasted duck and it didn't disappoint. It was well cooked with the skin on which made it crispier. The risotto base tasted great too.
Always enjoyable.
The food choices are varied and interesting. You cannot go wrong dining out at Mistral. It's a must when dining in Boston.
Last time coming here.
Was treated like garbage by the server who schooled me when I asked how one of the menu items was -- a staple on the menu that I had never had. The restaurant itself needs a major refurbish and the staff could tone down the arrogance and turn up the hospitality. For 100+ per person, I'd expect a lot more.
Came on Christmas Eve-wow, wow,wow.
Insanely delicious. This place is a gem. Our server was fantastic and the food out of this world. The tall ceilings and large windows just make the space feel so huge. Love it here. Will definitely be trying their sister restaurants in the future.

Had the half duck and my girlfriend had the salmon, Both were great. Mellisa was a very friendly server
Excellent Dinner
This is a first rate and elegant French restaurant in Back Bay. The food is excellent, the cocktails are strong, and service is quite good. Everything I had was terrific: The mussels appetizer, the sole meunière and the chocolate mousse.
Expected fabulous for the price…
Given the prices I expected excellent food and superior service. It’s been a while since I have been here. Food was above average but service was not. Thin crust pizza … average and overpriced. It is large with 6 squares but not worth the price. Salmon and crème brûlée were delicious. Servers were short and rude. Water was filled regularly but that is all. Table was cleared and then Waited At least 15 min from when check was left until they picked it back up again.
Terrific Dinner
This is an excellent French restaurant in Back Bay. The food is superb, with fine options for virtually anybody. My Dover Sole Meunière was first rate, and the chocolate mouse dessert was a great way to end a leisurely meal. Service was friendly and helpful. One note: Mistral can get kind of loud. That is the only negative I can identify, and it is not nearly enough to keep us from returning.
Glitz Rather Than First Rate Food
We eat out frequently. When we pay this much for a meal, we expect the food to be outstanding. Our $280 meal for 2 (3 glasses of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 1 dessert) was fine and the service was great. But it did not compare to meals in the last several weeks at 2 other restaurants when each course was fabulous. At this price, fine is not sufficient.

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I’m sorry to hear about this - I’m a brand new seller on the platform and didn’t realize this was a *thing* - any chance you can point me to the fine print/documentation where this policy is stated (also identifying other caveats like this would be appreciated)?
