Solid Italian dinner with homemade pasta and good wine.
The ambience was romantic, so great for a date or for a group of friends to catch up. The pastas were good (besides the gnocchi which I thought was a little boring), but the Artichoke appetizer really was the star of the show! So flavorful and crispy yet soft. Service/food was a little slow, but a few people in our group did arrive quite late and the waiter didn't bother us at all while we were waiting, so appreciated that!
Be the first to ReplyStellar dinner here! It's a small and cozy atmosphere.
We were seated in the back room - only 6-7 tables there. The lighting was dim, but not too dim. Colors were soft. The menu offered many options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The pasta was delicious. Portions were controlled. Service was swift and friendly. Highly recommend!

I spent hours researching which Italian restaurant to go to in Manhattan. I am surprised that Misirizzi wasn't mentioned. I thought the vibes of the restaurant and the food itself was fabulous. The restaurant was small, so it was giving an intimate/cozy ambiance. Now for food, you HAVE to get the artichokes. The pasta was all so fresh! I would 10/10 recommend!!! Also, it was easy to get a reservation.

The ambiance was really warm and romantic and I'm so glad my boyfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant on our walk in the city. The food was so delicious, both dishes we had and wine we tasted were recommended by the server. I highly recommend.

All so delicious! Was able to walk in on a Friday around 6:30 which was especially nice

Somehow I had never noticed this restaurant before but now I can't stop thinking about the meal I had last night. The restaurant is so pretty and charming. Even though it was packed, the acoustics were great and we could have a conversation. The food was absolutely delicious. The fried artichoke appetizer (carciofi fritti) with lemon cream dipping sauce which they aptly named "magic sauce" was the most delicious I have ever had. All three of us agreed we had never had better fried artichokes. The pasta was also scrumptious. I had the Radiatori with Arugula Pesto, Candied Tomatoes, Pine Nuts, Mozzarella Cream. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the combination of flavors was exquisite. I also had a spicy mezcal paloma served in a beautiful cocktail glass which makes such a difference. For dessert we had the bread pudding and the ricotta mousse. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back. Only downside is that it's pricey, but I think they earned it.

Ambiance was great! Service was fast and friendly Crispy artichoke was surprisingly good and it came with a green avocado cream like sauce. Really crispy and well cooked Mushroom ragu pasta was amazing. Pasta was Al dente. The sauce wasn't too heavy and they put a lot of mushrooms which was really good.

Came here for a birthday and our waitress was so friendly, as was the owner (Alessandro maybe?). They even gave us free tiramisu. Very small and intimate on the inside. Will definitely be coming back.
Be the first to ReplyI came here on a weekend evening.
It's overall a cute spot if you're in the area and want Italian. The food was tasty and I appreciated that they clearly marked the vegetarian options. Our waitress was great.I know some people won't agree, but I was upset there was no wifi. Some of us need to be able to reliably reach and receive messages from babysitters, family members, etc at all times. I cannot remember the last time I didn't have wifi at a restaurant or store.

So Good and a delightful quaint restaurant that serves mainly Italian. The branzino dish was fabulous and all the pasta dishes were superb! Great wine selection and the service was above par! Will make this a must stop restaurant every time we come to NYC!

The food was decent -- ordered the Mafaldine Carbonara and while it tasted fine, there was nothing special compared to other Carbonara dishes I've tried. I will caveat this review with the fact that this is the only pasta I tried here. Also ordered an Aperol Spritz which was great! And the service is phenomenal - what a beautiful, cozy restaurant as well!

Valentine's Day at Misirizzi was a success! Not quite sure how I found Misirizzi, but I am sure glad I did.I booked my Valentine's Day reservation at Misirizzi about a month in advance and was delighted to find out that they had a wine cellar that guests could dine in.We arrived right on time for our reservation and were sat immediately. It was a bit drafty in the cellar at first, however, the manager was turning on space heaters to keep the place warm.My husband and I put in a drink order with our server and also placed our food order shortly after that. Here is what we had:My husband had the following:1. Burrata - he said burrata was very creamy and the prosciutto was cut very think just like he likes it.2. Homemade strozzapreti - he said the pasta was a bit gummy, but the sauce was really good.3. She'll steak - good but nothing to write home about. Here is my order:1. Zucchini soup - very tasty and full of flavor.2. Butternut squash cappellacci - the sauce was simply delightful.3. Zucchini parmigiana- out of this world good! Tasted similar to eggplant parmigiana. For dessert:1. Torta della nonna - not our favorite but good2. Cannolis - the cannolis were some of the best that we ever had and I would go back simply for them. All of the above was included on their prefix menu which was only $80 dollars per person.I would 100% come back to Misirizzi and try their regular menu. Thanks for a lovely Valentine's Day dinner!

Food: 10/10The crispy artichoke blew me away, and the cheese board was quite delightful as well. Ordered the squid ink linguine and it was filled with seafood, with quite a nice al dente texture, slightly too chewy for me but good nonetheless. The cocktails were amazing as well, a huge fan of Miss Prizzi, as it wasn't too sweet but very refreshing. Interior: 10/10Super cute and intimate setting with warm ambient lighting. Great place for a cozy dinner and even a birthday party with 10 of us. Elegant yet minimal. Service: 10/10Really appreciate how accomodating our waiter was, as we arrived late. Because it was a big party, our dishes took a while, but they were very helpful with cutting our cake and making sure we were enjoying ourselves.

Misirizzi has excellent quality Italian food in New York! I ordered the Black Linguine made using squid ink which I've always wanted to try. The dish itself was seafood based, so the squid ink noodles complimented the flavor of the dish. The sauce was a garlic-lemon lobster broth worked so well with the seafood & noodles. The seafood tasted fresh not fishy! I wish the noodles and seafood were cooked in the sauce longer so that the flavors got to know each other better, but over all the dish was delightful!
Be the first to Reply100 stars! Intimate, charming atmosphere.
Carefully prepared and beautifully presented dishes. Attentive, charming service. A bolognese prepared and flavored a completely unique way (to me). Can't recommend highly enough.

Randomly stumbled upon this Italian restaurant and I'm so glad I decided to go inside. My server ended up being one of the owners, Alessandro, and he was so attentive and conversational. I ordered the gnocchi which was the special of the day. It was a pesto gnocchi with shrimp - the pesto was creamy and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I got a spritzer cocktail that I didn't love but I know how hard it is to make a mezcal cocktail. I would definitely recommend Misirizzi to anybody who love authentic Italian.

We decided to treat ourselves to some fancy pasta and drinks after a long day of walking 30K steps in Manhattan. Everything hit the spot here: the drinks were delicious and the food was flavorful. We shared an artichoke appetizer and I had the squid ink seafood pasta, everything was 10/10! Also everyone was so friendly and I really enjoyed the smaller cozy atmosphere, as well as the stylish decor of the restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyGood Italian fare.
Goat cheese salad and seafood pasta were yummy. Outdoor seating is nice and spacious. Good service too.
Be the first to ReplyThe staff was very friendly and accommodating.
However, the food, while not bad, was surprisingly mediocre...the meat/cheese plate included something that looked/tasted eerily like lunchmeat ham? And the pasta--while it tasted good--wasn't anything to write home about, and the visual presentation of it was pretty lacking. Overall, maybe worth going to once, but there are other options available. But again, the service was great!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely avoid this substandard "Italian" food.
I ordered the papardelle special with spinach and veggies which was tasteless. The mushrooms were canned at best. The quality of the rest of our appetizers and entrees was passable but not good enough for the price.
