Decent food, small restaurant
My wife and I went here before catching a show on Broadway. Service (Klevis) was fast and friendly. Luckily, we had a reservation, because it is a very small place. Food was hot and tasty. I had linguine with seafood and she had fettucine with mushrooms. Price was reasonable, at $60 with a bottle of sparkling water, before tip.

We happened upon this restaurant because it was around the corner from where we were staying in the Garment District, and stopped in for a late lunch. The food was very good and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We ended up being the only patrons left in the afternoon, and we enjoyed chatting with the staff who were quite friendly.
Be the first to ReplyDINNER AFTER A PLAY
My 5 friends and I went here for dinner after seeing a play. The place is small but homely. The food was great, I had the braised beef and there was so much that I was able to bring some home for dinner the following night. The lentil dip with olive oil that was on the table was so good that my friend (who is Greek) told me how to make this. The fruit pie creme Brulé was out of this world. Any way the next time I go in to see a play I am definitely coming back and so are my friends.

The restaurant itself is ok, but, it is very crowded and noisy. Our waitress was trying to rush us, we asked for menus and she said to scan a barcode to bring it up on our phone. That was a disaster as I had no clue what to do as I am not that good with technology. She came back twice to ask what we wanted, All I wanted was to get a glass of wine and take my time ordering. Finally we got their house paper menu, but couldn't read it as it was too dark in there. Food was ok but not great. Will not go back again..
Be the first to ReplyVery good!
Good service, food, and vibe. Had a late reservation. However, we were able to arrive an hour earlier and they were fantastic giving us a table right away. Everyone was very nice and the service was fast and well served.
Be the first to Replycozy spot Italian good comfort food
intimate restaurant which we enjoyed twice during our weekend n NY. The service was friendly and accommodating, we enjoyed the Bruschetta and calamari, shrimp cod appetizer, fresh, alight and crisp. The Gnocchi pork ragu was our favorite, The boar pasta was good as well.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice meal and a real authentic find thanks to a recommendation from a friend.
Three of us enjoyed dining across from the kitchen at a small table. The place is small, intimate and sort of cozy but very comfortable. Service was fast, efficient and non-intrusive. Our meals were excellent as was the bread and a terrific bottle of a bold, fruity red wine (The susumaniello varietal). The menu was pretty new to most of us and by no means a standard American-Italian fare--but better. An easy walk from many Times Square area motels.
Be the first to ReplyBest Northern Italian Cuisine
Being from Chicago and Northern Italy, we considered it the best! From the appetizers to main meal, it was spectacular. Try the lasagna. So impressed, we went twice.
Be the first to ReplyGood portion of salmon, cosy décor
Initially, we were seated and asked to use the QR code to access the menu, however, I feel this as a default isn't great especially considering the restaurant didn't seem to offer free internet. However upon asking, physical menus were available. The portion of salmon was very large, thick and relatively nice. Although the single accompaniment to the salmon was a side of Sautéed Chicory which there was a lot of and it was like chewing grass it was rather unpleasant.
Be the first to ReplyNice manager food was good.
We found this place by reviews and we did not have a reservation but the manager found a way to get our party of three inside. The restaurant was quaint and busy. Our food was really ordinary starting with the bread seemed stale and oil not flavorful. We two had lasagnas which were burned slightly, and my sister had gnocchi. All were fine but nothing left us dazzled. The waitress suggested an alternative to the glass of wine we ordered to a”special “ wine being offered which we didn’t ask for the price . It was good, but nothing exceptional and it ended up being $20.00 a glass. So, after four glasses later we could have ordered a decent bottle,

Trip Advisor found me this place and since it’s actually across the road from my hotel with good reviews, decided to go. Service was prompt and polite. Ambiance in restaurant was lovely. We chose a simple salad to start and both followed with linguine alla pescatore. A favourite dish which I can safely say was the best I’ve had. Lovely fresh seafood flavours and plenty of it.

Be the first to ReplyDinner for two
Went here for dinner, based on Trip Advisor and the Hyatt Place Hotel recommendations. Reservations recommended. Great Server-Vanessa. Food was Excellent. Homemade pasta. Please know, the dining room is small. Only a few tables for 2 and rest are for 4 persons and they will not seat a party of two at a larger table. The tables for 2 are very small. Also, if you plan to use a gift card or credit card that does not have a chip, they will not take it.

I celebrated my birthday here last weekend. It was an inspired choice. The atmosphere, food, wine and service was excellent. Warmly commend this restaurant.

Fantastic array of pasta dishes. Reasonably priced and delicious. Linguine with seafood was a top pick. Wine list was an extensive tour of Italy.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Italian food
Such a refreshing change of pace for Italian food. Food was absolutely delicious. I had the fettuccine with mushrooms and my husband had the gnocchi.
Service was perfect.
The one downside was it was tiny and there was a large loud party near us. It was uncomfortably loud, like shrieking and high pitched laughing. We hurried to leave.
Dinner before a show
Found this gem on TripAdvisor. Didn’t even realize it was right across from our hotel. It’s a small restaurant with authentic Italian and wonderful wine.
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal food
Wanted some real good Italian food and this place did not disappoint at all. The lasagna and fettuccine was phenomenal. The only “bad” thing was the table sits low if you are on the bench in the back dining.

Took a chance and managed to get a table at this small but popular restaurant, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. Great atmosphere and well priced for good wholesome Italian food and wine, would highly recommend
Be the first to ReplyGood stop, have to look for it to find it.
We ate here on Thanksgiving night, had reservations and was seated immediately. Ordered the Fettucine Al Funghi, it was a lot more funghi than fettucine (good, not great). Ordered the Spaghetti as well, just okay, pretty tomatoe-ie. Server was great and helpful.
Be the first to ReplyMercato a little gem in midtown !
I was looking for a place close to Madison Square Garden and glad I picked this little tucked away restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen! I felt like I was in Italy with the decor and size of the place! We ordered the rucola salad which was so yummy!! The entrees , spaghetti with fresh tomato sauce and NY steak were the perfect choices! They were cooked perfectly and we didn’t feel too full! They make a great aperol spritz too and for dessert yummy gelato! I will definitely go back since it made me feel like I was in Italy for a moment! Great food, wonderful service and great ambiance!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Italian Restaurant on West 39th
My friends and I were walking back from the Highline and needed a place to eat. I realized that this restaurant was only a couple of blocks away. I hoped that we could get a table, even though we didn't have a reservation. The gentleman at the front door was gracias enough to squeeze us in.
The atmosphere was relaxed, the wait staff was quick and efficient and the food was great. I had a pasta dish that was just what I needed after walking around the city all day.
So if you need a moderately priced Italian restaurant that has great food in midtown, this is the place!
