Mayahuel Sacramento Reviews from The Last Year
Friendly staff with quick service - great cocktails! Loved
Friendly staff with quick service - great cocktails! Loved the decor inside. Mole plate was really good
I'm very disappointed with our experience at Tequila Museo
I'm very disappointed with our experience at Tequila Museo Mayahuel given it was just me and my friend who spent nearly $100 for not so great food. The highlight of our lunch was our drinks and chips with salsa and guacamole. WOW... that should say a lot. On the other hand, our small plates and main entree were lacking so much flavor and barely tasted like it was seasoned/marinated. The drinks we got were Mango Y Chile (on the rocks) & La Flor. I'm not a huge tequila fan but this drink is allowing me to have a change of heart. Chamoy, you can never go wrong with and the agave gave it a hint of sweetness. My friend enjoyed the La Flor and the taste of hibiscus along with a slight spice from the jalapeño were different but good different! Chips were salted and thick providing a great crunch when using to dip into the salsa + Guac. By the way, Guac was seasoned well! Loved it!!! For our meal we ordered Brochetas de Chorizo Y Queso (small plate) and Carne de Puerco en Salsa Verde (entree). Coming out to our table they looked delicious! After a few minutes of us tasting everything it was unfortunately subpar. The chorizo had some tough parts (unappetizing to me) which I had to spit out. This made my dining experience unpleasant and wished the cheese could've been more present. Seemed almost nonexistent. The pork for the entree was very tender, however, didn't taste like much. Salt would've gone a long way here! Rice just seemed like white rice not necessarily Spanish rice. My friend said it reminded her of minute rice. :( Lastly, we ended our meal with a dessert. We've both had flan before so we opted for Imposible. Man, this dessert was a disgrace. The flan itself was very gelatinous and broke down in my mouth like extra firm tofu. It even looked like tofu!!! Chocolate cake near the bottom half I couldn't even get past and I like chocolate. It tasted too firm and gummy. Sadly, this is not a place I'd recommend nor come back to. I hope it was an off day for the restaurant and others have a better experience than we did. I still can't get over how much we spent on this food when I can get stuff for half the price at a mom and pop restaurant.
Everything tasted delicious and authentic flavors.
Creative appetizers with the chicken, nopal, quesos, chile poblano variety. Highly recommend. I had items from the happy hour menu. Great after work environment. I was visiting but saw many locals coming in after work.
Couldn't get enough of this place great food had my friend
Couldn't get enough of this place great food had my friend scraping the sauce from my plate The drinks are amazing I had the asi sabe with watermelon Ssoooooo gooood amazing customer service good morning environment for any age group
We really enjoyed our time eating here.
We did not even know that it was on the Michelin guide until we got there, so that was a fun surprise. My favorite thing about the menu was that it was a tour through Mexico. You can try different dishes from all different regions of Mexico. We went for lunch and got the shrimp ceviche, steak tacos, and the chile relleno. The steak was super tender. The service was very attentive. Next time I would love to try some of their tequilas and Mezcals.
Not really what i expected.
I've heard so many good things about this place and i was happy to finally visit but i was left underwhelmed. The service was ok. Didn't have reservations and it was around 8ish i think. We were able to get a table for 2 with no problem. It took a while for the server to come and when he did it seemed like he was distracted. Whatever we ordered our drinks and food. About 10mins later our food came out. That was a shocker cause it only took 10mins and our drinks haven't even arrived yet. I ordered tacos they were pretty decent. Nothing too special. He ordered enchiladas. Wasn't to wowed nothing to rave about. With all the raves i heard just expected more to it but i guess it makes sense to have premade meats in food heater ready to assemble for the flavoring. I just expected more wow. I also ordered their version of chocoflan and sadly the cake part tasted like it absorbed the onions in the fridge.
Excellent and delicious food! Authentic and good service.
Will come back when I'm in town

Staff was great and accommodating to our rather short notice party of 12. Service was also quick and very helpful! The food tasted amazing and we definitely will be returning to try additional items on their menu as everything looked delicious.
Food was good.
Tacos, taquitos, and salad with shrimp. Had a short time to eat. Walked over. Served very quickly. Glad we went. Cute inside.
What a great experience.
The decor and ambience are great although I would have like that the primary bar had more warm lighting. Service was spectacular and our server took great care of us and provided superb recommendations. Highly recommend to try the small 6 bites of Mexico. What an experience! The mole made with pistachios was incredible. The Braiden chicken was cooked to perfection. The mango cake was a great way to finish the night. Cocktails were on point and well crafted. I am not much a fan of mezcal but my drink was super well balanced and delicious. Overall, go and give it a try. This is a great spot in the Sac area.
Tenía La sopa Albondegas.
Estaba muy rica. (I had albondegas soup and it was rich and delicious). Two nice size meatballs, although I would have preferred smaller ones and several of them. It was served with warm tortillas, choice of corn or flour. Service was superb and beautiful ambiance. Very classy and a great restaurant to take someone on a first date or any other special occasion.

I was up in Sacramento for a conference and my group
I was up in Sacramento for a conference and my group decided to go eat here and it went okay. Pros: they sat us right away as it wasn't so busy that night. The drinks which we got at the bar were delicious, I had a cantarito and the tequila flight. The bartender was awesome that day, he took care of our group. I think this made up for the food. Cons: Because we were in a large group I understand they want to bring the food out all at the same time, but that meant the food was getting cold. My coworkers had to ask to get their pozole reheated, I ate my enchiladas luke warm and other dishes too. The flavor was great, but again, not a fan of cold food.! Portions of the food are very generous, many of us had to take it to go. The ambiance was nice, very chill music for the night, the decor was cute and pleasing
This is my second trip to this amazing restaurant.
It was delicious again! The first time I had a fantastic crafted margarita. This time I was there for lunch! Great service!! Fantastic food!! I can hardly wait to visit again!
Stopped by friday after a long week of work for a drink.
No, wait, nice outdoor seating on K St. The Old Fashioned was perfect with bitters and orange. The chips were crispy, and salsa was fresh. I tasted the mango chili, and to my surprise, it was sweet and not too spicy at all. Didn't stay long, but I enjoyed my time here.
My favorite place just to have the delicious and mouth
My favorite place just to have the delicious and mouth watering cocktail, the mango chile! It's sweet and a little spicy in flavors. You'll just have to trust me and order a few! We stopped here for a cocktail before bar hopping to our next spot hence why we only had chips and salsa. The staff were so friendly and attentive. We sat outside on the patio and she checked on us often. We'll have to come back and try the food next time! But the mango chile..... my favvvvvv and you can't even taste the tequila but it's in there! Enjoy!

Maria is such a generous server, I thought the carne con chile was spicy and this kind soul offered to exchange my dish for another despite me only taking 8 bites from my bowl. Love her

Everything was excellent!! Food, customer service, ambience, all 5 out of 5 stars for me!
Excellent Dinner
We dined outdoors on the patio. It was pleasant, service was friendly and attentive, and the food was superb. The special plant based menu is worth exploring: My vegan mole poblano was terrific. An added bonus: Prices are quite reasonable.

It's a vibe! Right next to the Hyatt, so you can use the paid parking garage there or look for street parking. People of all ages, small intimate tables to large parties seem to be welcomed. We sat at the bar, there were 4 of us. It seems loud, but it's not too loud that you can't hear your other guests. I ordered the TACOS POBLANOS DE ARRACHERA - It came with 3 large tacos on blue corn tortillas filled with marinated flank steak, roasted poblano peppers and onions garnished with fresh cilantro and a side of 'charro' beans. It was a bit spicy and the steak was so soft, amazing. I would definitely order this again. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals as well: RIB EYE CON CHORIZO - Juicy cut of steak topped with chorizo, served on a bed of seasoned mushrooms with adobo sauce accompanied by a medley of chayote (pear squash), green beans, & bell peppers. Crema de Epazote (herb) y Camarón - Filled with crab and shrimp in an epazote cream sauce. Lightly topped with bell peppers & served with white rice. PESCADO OAXAQUENÑO - A grilled tilapia fillet bathed in Oaxacan cheese and bean sauce with fried corn strips, queso fresco all on a grilled nopal (cactus). Each plate was empty by the end of dinner. I can't wait to go back and try another dish, I recommend you check it out if you're in the area.
All the food I've tried here is soooo good.
This visit I decided to just order the entire appetizer menu (family with me) and my favorite is the Tinga and the shrimp! That sauce on the shrimp I could eat with a salad it's that good Service is also great and friendly. I love the feel of the restaurant with the art and decor
really nice and fancy, good for picky eaters and i reccomend coming with kids for a cute little brunch date.

Hi, I have a reservation to Nobu Malibu, but since they don't do text or e-mail confirmations I haven't been able to get my reservation posted. I have posted a screen shot of the phone conversation on the listing, but it keeps getting rejected. If anyone has an idea how I can get it approved that would be much appreciated, thanks!
