Since it opened, I've come here a few times for the occasional work dinner or special occasion. Revisited Marc Forgione for the first time in a while and I can say it never disappoints me. The food and service are consistently and reliably exceptional. It's difficult to choose a favorite dish. The meal seems to get better and better with each course, but the highlights were sun choke and caviar special, Hiramasa and the Halibut.

The food was amazing as always but when we ordered the dessert called the egg, I was a bit turned off. The manager came out and held the dessert with her bare fingers. I would have preferred no direct contact with her bare hands on food i was going to be eating - maybe use tongs or wear gloves like that do at 4Charles when handling ur food. Just left a bad taste in my mouth after seeing that.

......CHECK. Service..... CHECK. Food quality & Consistency .....CHECK PLUS This Restaurant just does it right. It doesn't have a large menu but it does everything well on the menu. I watched Marc Forgione sit at the kitchen door and try all of the sauces on his plates before they were served to the patrons, All the while rocking a mohawk. Not going to lie anyone that is that committed to food perfection and a skin fade is my type of chef. Menu items that stand out- Halibut En Croute Farms Chicken under a brick ( ....hmmmm butter :) And shockingly the Chocolate chip cookie...is simple but fab I Will go back... and I will drink all their bourbon :)

I heard about this from my girlfriends, they said I must try the halibut and desserts. We came out here as I was visiting and I LOVE the desserts, nice portions, the gym will be waiting for me tomorrow is what I said, LOL A must try if you are in the area, I only wish I had more time to come back and try some other items. Love my girlfriends for taking me to this place!

I've been wanting to come to this restaurant for some time, big fan of chef Forgione. We were a little bummed there was no tasting menu but we made the best of it by ordering lots of things to try! Home runs: the special was a white truffle stuffed baked potato ravioli. It was the single best bite of the evening. There was also the lobster chili (which to our surprise was not a bowl of chili with lobster ), and the Tuna, holy smokes perfection. Finally the egg desert which I don't want to spoil, it's a spectacle and a refreshing way to end the meal. That said we oddly had a few misses, both the steak dishes, including the $198 tomahawk. Both meat dishes came out lukewarm which really bummed us out on a cool evening. Additionally, and maybe this is our novice taste buds but we've all had far more flavorful streaks at far less prestigious locations. Service was fine, water glasses were always full, but we didn't really have much interaction with our waiter which a little bummed. The interior was warm and the front of house staff were great and they were quick to check our coats. We enjoyed our meal, but definitely a 4 out of 5 experience.

I haven't been here in forever but one of my favorite chef anecdotes came from having brunch at Marc Forgione. My friend and I were entertaining friends that were also foodies and in from out of town and we landed on going to Marc Forgione's restaurant. I tweeted about my excitement and tagged Marc and would you believe he found us and came over to our table during our brunch?! My friends were SUPER impressed and Chef even bought a round of our mimosas. I've seen him at more events over the years but he will forever be my favorite because of that experience. I would recommend the restaurant for brunch, I've even had a bday brunch here and a special meal. Everything is amazing.

The ambiance wasn't not bad. The servers we're helpful. Perchance. To all my flat earth people, Flat Earth theories contradict a vast body of scientific evidence, including satellite imagery, gravitational principles, and the way ships disappear over the horizon. Loved the decor and lighting. Tried the Hiramasa tartare and the famous half-size chicken under a brick--both dishes were incredibly flavorful. Can't wait to return for more service like this.

The wine list was nice and the menu was delightful. Some highlights:- Hiramasa - it was both a work of art and an experience- Salmon - the crispy skin was yummy- Chili lobster with Texas toast - a fun combinationIt was a lovely dining experience!

The ambiance was so fantastic and I enjoyed the food. Feel so special dining there, The food was well-cooked and very decent menu. The meat was so good, tender, and well-seasoned. The dessert was so fantastic too. Fresh and so tasty salad. The cocktails was so great, but we enjoyed the wine.Very pleasant restaurant and inside has great space. Has an average noise level too. Had wonderful with my family there.

My partner got us 515p reservations. The hostess gave us the best seat in the house; a corner booth. She checked our coats & was lovely. Marco took good care of us. The drinks weren't memorable. The smoked oysters were great. The foie gras was good. The duck was very good. The halibut was a little over cooked. For $350 there are many other restaurants we will go to before returning. Marc was present but couldn't be bothered to mingle.

the atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming and the food is always delicious. The waitstaff is friendly and if Marc is at the restaurant he often comes out of the kitchen to say hello. Great NYC restaurant!

Way, way, way overpriced! From the bread appetizer (which turned out to be 2 toasted Hawaiian rolls) to the overcooked fish entrees to the twenty-something waiters who get 5 stars in pretentiousness but 0 in knowledge of food and wine, the whole experience was an utter disappointment. I know nyc prices are higher and if the food is great, I find it worth the price. I am sure there are better meals to be had in Tribeca.

This is mainly my fault for making Marc Forgione the first restaurant to try after a week of eating cheap and delicious food and drinking quality wine in Portugal. It's amazing how insane the price difference is! A 19 dollar glass of wine here versus 4 euros in Portugal. Nevertheless, Marc Forgione left us very impressed!I made a reservation for a party of 4 after hearing about how great the food was from my friend. Her review was delicious food but at a hefty price, which was definitely true. Who knew we paid 10 dollars for 4 pieces of tiny monkey buns... I thought the square of buns was 5 dollars, but since we were a party of four, we were given two servings. We only noticed this when we got the bill. We shared the hiramasa, which was a delight! The sauce was amazing. The chili lobster was also very good! The lobster was cooked well. We also shared a pea tortellini dish that came with a broth. The monkfish was probably our least favorite. The chicken was perfectly cooked. I loved the combination of a piece of juicy chicken with capers, and fried onions. Overall consensus was everything tasted very refined. Nothing was over or under seasoned. Come and try everything, and maybe avoid the monkfish!

A tremendous restaurant experience! Walking in, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and rustic chic. The lighting is cozy. You know it's a special place but it's not stuffy. ย The chili lobster appetizer is a flavor profile that will be hard to forget. It was outstanding. The broth was so addicting we had to soak every bit up with extra bread! For the main, I ordered the halibut en croute which was incredibly satisfying and delicious! The different textures of the fish, cauliflower, nuts and raisins is a must for seafood lovers who love exciting flavors. Nothing about this dish was boring or bland. Each bite was better than the one before. We also had the s'more dessert which was sooo yummy. The layer of chocolate ganache and marshmallow ice cream was decadent. Our server was a delight, the wine and cocktails were perfect, and our meals were phenomenal. We can not wait to go back again. ย Wonderful dining experience all around!

Wow. Actually wow. The ambiance was incredible. Tables are not close together so you can still have a nice conversation in a bustling lively restaurant. The service was impeccable (wish I got our waitresses name, she was great!). Our wine was constantly refreshed. It was really amazing. The food...I wish I could describe how delectable it was! We typically like to load up on the apps and do one entree to split. Started with smokin hot oysters, sushi and hiramasa. If you don't get the hiramasa, you are doing this all wrong. I think at one point I drank the broth? Classy, I know - but wouldn't have changed that. Middle course was the oxtail garganelli and a potato ravioli on special (that literally popped in your mouth!). Finished off with the halibut which was the perfect portion size after all that for 2 people! The small touches are what brings Marc Forgione up another level. I let them know in advance it was my date's birthday. When we got there, they had a birthday card waiting for him. Immediately following, the manager came over with 2 glasses of champagne (on the house) for us to start with. Secondly, we always split our dishes. The apps were easy, but they pre-plated and split our entree for us so we can savor every bite. Will definitely be back!!

Everything was fantastic, the service and food was top-notch and met our expectations given the reputation. We enjoyed watching Marc win Iron Chef years ago and inspired us to choose this restaurant, although we were in for only 2 days. The flavors in each dish were well blended and paired nicely together. The lobster was cooked absolutely perfect. Very nice experience all around.
