Absolutely perfect!
A friend recommended this gem of a place and we loved it! Good is absolutely delicious (we had chicken pad Thai and sushi) and the service is amazing (our waitress ducked out to buy ice when I requested some for my drink!!!). Don’t miss this truly wonderful spot for a delicious meal.

Yes, they have vegetarian / vegan options
As a vegetarian, Norway / Bergen can be a tough place. Although the menu in the "Mandalay" restaurant doesn't contain any vegetarian / vegan curry options, they do have tofu. We really liked our curries (red curry + massaman): the food came swiftly, the vegetables were still crunchy (I don't like soggy vegetables in my curry) and the curries were tasty. We were satisfied after our meal and plan on returning. Also, the restaurant and toilet are very clean.

Came in after a day of walking. Thought Burmese sounded great. Had WONDERFUL handmade Gyoza and then shared 2 dishes; chicken satay and shrimp pad Thai. Both yummy, but the satay was a bit salty for me. Also, we found broccoli in both dishes - no no no! Should never have been in either, but especially the pad Thai! Fast service, nice folks, clean bathroom, conveniently located a few blocks from fish market so not touristy.

The food at Mandalay is amazing! We ate soup, curry, noodles and sushi and everything was delicious. The sushi is tasty and of very high quality and everyone agreed it is our new favourite in Bergen. And we have eaten sushi at most sushi places in town. There are many gluten free options on the menu and they accommodated for one of us who can not eat nuts. Combined with professional service we highly recommend eating here.

* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ElaborateHouse74, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ElaborateHouse74 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ElaborateHouse74 for any questions Peter may have as ElaborateHouse74 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ElaborateHouse74 now uses their connections at Mandalay Sushi & Burmese Bergen to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ElaborateHouse74 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ElaborateHouse74 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ElaborateHouse74's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Mandalay Sushi & Burmese Bergen!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
