We came around 6:00 on a Friday, right before dinner rush hour. Our servers were not super attentive, leaving us the entire pitcher of water to pour ourselves, and they didn't check on us very often- but they were younger and we were ok with our food, so that didn't bother me. I got a veggie kimbap- came out fairly quickly, well assembled and the complimentary pickled radish that came with it was delicious, spicy and sour. The kimbap itself was flavorful but slightly more oily than I remembered. My friend ordered a chicken katsu jungsik, the cream sauce for it came out a long time before the order did. I think that's because they were making it from scratch, but it did take so long that we were wondering if they forgot. Slightly large portion size- if you're looking for a meal you can eat for lunch the next day, go with this one. My other friend ordered spicy pork over rice. Came out fairly fast, he seemed to enjoy it. Overall a pretty chill place to grab dinner. Give it a try!

I visited Mama's Kitchen the next day after I arrived in the U.S. Maybe because it's been a long time since I ate Korean food, it was really delicious. I really recommend soondooboo soup.
Be the first to ReplyNot long ago, I ordered food from Mama's Kitchen.
I ate Korean food, kimchi cheese pancake, kimchi cheese fried rice, and soondooboo soup. I was happy to taste Korean food after a long time. It was really delicious and I really want to try it again. -MINWOO SEO-

Was looking forward to trying this place for quite some time. Everytime we tried coming here the parking lot was full and there was always a line as this restaurant is not very big. Overall the food was decent. Nothing wowed me to say I'd have to come back. I think my favorite thing was the pickled diakon if I'm being honest. 12 wings for $24.99 seemed overpriced but the flavor of the honey and jalapeno mayo were both good. The restaurant seems to be more of a no-frills setup. No real ambiance to speak of and reminds me of a cafeteria environment. For me everything was pretty average, but glad I tried it.
Be the first to ReplySuper yummy and fresh.
Will definitely go back another day. The chicken Katsu was pounded really thin with delicious Katsu crunch, and the sauce was perfect.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time trying this restaurant and it's the first time
First time trying this restaurant and it's the first time I'm assigning a dish the word "crave." The chicken tonkatsu over rice is delicious! Crispy on the 0outside, and tender and juicy on the inside, it's accompanied with scrambled eggs. The seafood tofu soup is the only choice, and was kinda fishy tasting. This was okay. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Service was fast. The check-in system is adding your name to a paper list outside, then a worker calls out your name. The place is nice and clean and space is medium sized. You could see the chef cooking. It's in a strip mall and Factoria Mall is across the way, so there's plenty of parking.

Went here for dinner with a colleague and didn't know what to expect. The food was sooooooooo delicious, authentic and fresh! The waiters were very friendly and provided excellent customer service. Portions were huge and can be shared. Will definitely return!!!

Been coming here for some time now and food is always good! They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait if you happen to come in during the weekend and around dinner time. Located in Miller Plaza in Factoria, this place is small, but how they designed the seating area, the place can sit maybe 25-30 people -- 2 - 3 tables with bench style seating on one side (each table is good for 4 people); 4-5 high chairs for the bar style table that is facing the window overlooking the parking lot (good for individual seating but not for group...not unless you don't want to talk to your group); 2-3 tables for 2; and a long table that can sit maybe 10 people. The plaza doesn't have enough parking space, so good luck with that. What we've tried: - Mamas Kimbap - their bibimbap version. Warm rice topped with all sorts of goodies, what's not to like?! - Ban Ban Chicken - a tower of crispy fried chicken, half of it is flavored with this somewhat sweet yet a bit spicy sauce, and the other half is just fried chicken. It's a nice balance going back and forth between the two flavors. - Bulgogi over rice - Yumm! We've tried a couple more dishes but can't seem to find them on their online menu and can't remember the names without seeing the pictures. Service is good, staff are friendly.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a pretty cute restaurant tucked away right across
This is a pretty cute restaurant tucked away right across from Factoria Square for a Korean food fix. My daughter loves the GalbiJim BiBim Bap, tge beef rib the put in this dish is so tender, flavorful & delicious. I love soup & since they don't have my favorite dish on the menu, Galbi Tang, I order the Soondubu, a soft tofu soup that can be varied in spice level of your choice with beef & seafood. My soup comes with a bowl of rice & both our dishes come with radish kimchee. It's a bit on the pricier side but everything is made fresh to order so the quality is pretty good. The real key would be to go with a bigger party & share some of their dishes & specials family style! The 3 girls seated next to us had a stone pot braised beef rib dish that look tender & falling off the bone as well as about 4 other dishes including KimBap! They had so many dishes they also had 4 banchan dishes to share which I honestly have never seen there?! I thought they must be friends of the restaurant or VIPS, but I think it was that special rib dish that was $64. Service is efficient but could be a little more helpful with the specials as we did not see them until we were walking out & saw their physical menus taped to a table outside of the front door. My daughter & I will have to return with the rest of our family so we can get a better variety rather than our usual lunch dishes we love.
Be the first to ReplyMama's Kitchen has been in Factoria for at least four to
Mama's Kitchen has been in Factoria for at least four to five years now and is one of few Korean restaurants on the Eastside. My friends and I came here for lunch on a Saturday at around 11:30am. The lunch crowd didn't start until around noon, and so we had an easy time getting a table. Mama's Kitchen menu is pretty limited, but they have all the popular Korean fare including Korean Fried Chicken, Kimchi Fried Rice, Tteokbokki (cylindrical rice rolls), and Soondubu (spicy Korean tofu soup). For three of us, we ordered MAMA'S KIMBAP, MAMA'S ROSE TTEOKBOKKI, and MAMA'S HONEY FRIED CHICKEN. The tteokbokki and the fried chicken both came with miso soup and the kimbap came with a side of kimchi radish. Of the dishes we ordered, the ROSE TTEOKBOKKI was the best. It was super rich and creamy and came with a piece of shrimp tempura, and egg roll, and a potsticker. The KIMBAP was also decent and was filled with beef, shredded egg, daikon, spinach, and carrots. They fell apart pretty easily though and so you have to eat them in one bite. Surprisingly, the HONEY FRIED CHICKEN was a little disappointing. While it had the right Gochujang sauce and flavor, the chicken was soggy and not crispy like traditional Korean Fried Chicken. With that said, the chicken was the most generous in terms of portions. The restaurant itself is pretty tight and only has eight to ten tables max with some window seating. It's clean and modern. Service was okay. It took some time to waive the waiter down. I also wish they served complimentary hot tea and unlimited ban chan. I'm my honest opinion, prices are kind of high for what you get (in comparison to Danji and Cho Dang Tofu), but it's definitely convenient for those passing by Factoria on their way back from work. Plus, Da Boba is right next door and so you can easily hit two birds with one stone. Overall: 3.5/5 for food, 3.5/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere
Be the first to ReplyTheir tteokbokki is fantastic and the atmosphere is nice.
I would definitely come back for their food
Be the first to ReplyThe chicken was pretty good, but it depends on which flavor
The chicken was pretty good, but it depends on which flavor is being ordered. I liked the mayo jalapeño fried chicken the best, for the rest I let my boyfriend eat it all. A great hangout place!!
Be the first to ReplyWe came here for an early dinner on a Saturday and there
We came here for an early dinner on a Saturday and there was already a line. There isn't that much seating inside. The half honey fried chicken and the half jalapeno mayo fried chicken were really tasty - the chicken was crispy on the outside but still juicy on the inside and they were all relatively big pieces. The budae jigae wasn't as special and we felt that it lacked more filling on the inside. We were also surprised that it didn't come with any side dishes which we normally find at Korean restaurants. The service was pretty good. The seafood pancake took a while to come out because they burned it a few times before getting it right - the server was very apologetic and comped that portion of our meal. The pancake was very crispy and different than normal seafood pancakes since they use panko. We'd come back again to try other things on their menu.

Ordered takeout and when they say this Korean comfort food, there were no lies told. It was delicious. To go service was quick and it's a cute little spot with friendly workers. I'll be exploring there menu for sure.
Be the first to Replyone of the best places to eat in the area.
not fancy but good home cooked food. breakfasts are great and the best juiciest burgers around. people are friendly and accommodating. I'm a regular.

Stopped here for lunch since we were in the area and left fat and happy. Their katsu meal is delicious; my friend really enjoyed their katsu mayo. They have good lunch specials and a large menu. Definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyBelow average Korean food that looks better than it tastes.
My whole table agreed that the food was pretty mid -- it feels like this place is cutting corners. The spring roll lacked flavor, the tteokbokki was overly chewy, the galbi jjim bibimbap was cold because it didn't come in a stone bowl & the Katsu was late AND fried in old oil giving it a nasty taste. The cherry on top? Kimbap takes 25 min -- how does that make any sense?! Especially for the price I feel like things should be waaaay better than they were. Probably one of my least favorite Korean spots near Seattle -- pretty disappointing, unfortunately.

Ordered the Galbi-Jjim Bibimbap and Seafood Pancake about 15-20x over the year. But this latest order on Dec 1, I got very bad food poisoning. Never coming here again.

Every dishes that I've tried were all good. From Kimbap(both mama and tuna), Bulgogi to Hambak steak, everything tasted soooo good. Definitely recommended. Service is good too!
Be the first to Replycomfort korean food.
i CRAVE mamas all the time. this review is long overdue. i love this place. i always get the chicken katsu (over eggs, rice, and a bed of grilled onions), the tteokbokki, and budae jjigae. so much flavor and comfort in these dishes. restaurant is small, so most of the time there is a wait list going, but it is well worth the wait!i ALWAYS come back here. 10/10

Food: (9/10) The food here is definitely very comforting! Been wanting to try Mama's Kitchen for so long and when i finally did, it did not disappoint! I absolutely enjoyed the Galbi-Jjim Bibimbap! It was $20 for the bowl but the portion was pretty big. I had enough leftovers to enjoy it for another day! 100% would go back to get this bibimbap when i'm craving for it! I also ordered cold noodles (not pictured) for the first time and it was soo good! The noodle has a nice chew to it, which is very much up my alley! Had leftovers for this too! So portions are pretty good hereService: (10/10)The employees here were very attentive! They had saw that i dropped my chopsticks and got me a new pair right away! Also, I would recommend coming early for dinner to beat the crowd since i can see that they can get pretty busy with the limited seatings they have space for.

Mama's Kitchen has been a regular spot for me to years! I've tried almost everything on the menu by now, so I'm going to try to do a general, honest, overview! If you're expecting your standard Korean restaurant, this isn't it - and I say this in a positive way. Mama's Kitchen makes their dishes their own, which is what I really love about them. You can taste the home style cooking and love that goes into their dishes! Some of my favorites are their Katsu Mayo over Rice, Seafood Premium Ramyun, Kimchi Cheese Rice, and Kimbap, though I could probably list most of the menu. Their selections may seem more limited than other places, but I think it's worth it for the quality. Also their radish kimchi is sooooo delicious. Pros:Great serviceDelicious, homestyle Korean comfort food!!Unique selectionsCons:Can get very busyA liiiiittle bit pricey for the portion sizeAll in all, this place is one of my favorite Bellevue restaurants. I'll never forget during COVID when I ordered takeout and they wrote a really sweet note in the bag. I think I've taken all of my visiting friends and family here as well and they all LOVED it. Thank you, Mama's Kitchen

A small restaurant in the Factoria area (not Bellevue) in a small strip mall. The menu was okay, portions were okay, slightly higher priced than most Korean restaurants, and the taste was meh. Worst part of the visit? No banchans - if you love the Korean side dishes like I do, they provide none! So disappointed!
