Excellent location for this farm fresh meal.
Located at the end of the pier, and at the beginning of it, this restaurant had a great menu. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. The egg sandwich was juicy with running egg yolks. It could have been cooked a little longer. The arugula salad was nice with olive oil and lemon juice. Plain but very good. The breakfast potatoes were a bit dry and needed salt and pepper, which was not on the table. I used a knife to scrap off the lemon aioli (mayo with lemon) off the bread of my breakfast sandwich. I didn't expect heavy lemon mayo on a breakfast sandwich. But still, I recommend this restaurant. I like the vibe, plants growing everywhere, and the natural ingredients they use.

Food portions weren't as I expected it's good for pictures but if you're planning on eating here make sure to keep In mind that you will spend more than 80$ on two plates

I have been coming here for years and it has always been such a special place, amazing food and it doesnt hurt to be surrounded by the scenic coastline and glistening ocean. My past couple of visits I have been hit with sticker shock at the prices ...which would be understandable if that incredible quality was there....but not so. Both visits left me clinging to the memory of what it used to be and finding a hard reason to ever come back.. The food was just ok, tweaks to my favorites to cheap them down perhaps. When one's bill is coming in close to 100- for 2 people, no alcohol and merely 2 breakfast items...they best be memorable. Sad to say this gem has dulled.

I really want to like this place but, the food choices were too weird and they don't let you make any substitutions at all. I love healthy food but it was just too strange for me. We didnt even finish our plate, paid quite a lot for it and then left to go eat somewhere else after...Cute ambiance though and they were nice enough to offer blankets because it was freezing!

It is in the most charming spot you could think of. There's literally a lemon tree growing in someone's yard as you walk up to the pier. The setting of the restaurants is unlike anything I've seen. Two restaurants right on the pier! You can watch the waves as you eat. Four stars because this is not an allergy friendly place. However, everything was delicious! I would recommend getting the sandwiches if you go to the restaurant at the end of the pier.

Be the first to ReplyCame here with my girlfriends after a hike at Temescal.
We got there before it got busy and waited less than 10 min to be seated. Started with a hazelnut pistachio latte and it just might be my new favorite.. moving along I ordered the ABC Tacos and it was AMAZING!!! cute venue, great playlist and our server DION made sure we were takin care of. Definitely will recommend to others and will be coming back!!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambience.
Would be nice to take your out of town guests here to get a nice sample of California living due to the location/ ocean view. Their menu offers a variety and some unique items (or at least their way of cooking them). Their gluten free pancakes are delicious and so is their coffee. Service was ok, no complaints. Prices, I think are fair - probably pay a little more for what you get.

For being such a well-known spot, I was pleasantly surprised with the easygoing time we had here on a gorgeous Saturday. Parking is a struggle, if you're lucky, find parallel parking on PCH, but otherwise it costs $15 to park in the lot by the pier. There was virtually no line to order food. Just browse the menu and walk up to the counter inside. You can order drinks from the bar outside or order at the counter with the rest of your food orders. The girl helping us was chill and very patient. She explained the gluten free breads they had which was nice. They had gluten free buns and bread I believe. The food was great! The seating outdoors is amazing! You are at the end of the pier surrounded by the gorgeous ocean, what could be better? We all really liked our cocktails. They were beautiful and tasty. I would come back here!

One thing I truly enjoy is the ambiance and the views of this restaurant but the food is nothing to rave about. The food once a upon a time was to die for and full of flavor but that is no longer. Overpriced, no flavor, and just not worth it. Save the money on parking and take yourself to a better restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is good and the views are awesome.
Depending on the time of the day, the service may actually be good.

Imagine this, you walk up to the host and as she is speaking with you, she makes no eye contact is and is picking at her nails. My boyfriend I should've walked away right then and there. We are seated. The water boy comes and serves us water we say hello and a polite smile. It's like we aren't even there. Our server thankfully was nicer. Our food was had good taste but 2 smoothies and nachos for $65, ouch ! The view was the only thing great about the spot. I recommend it, but if you do go, don't expect good service.
Be the first to Reply3 stars for the food and service, 5 for the view.
We came here for a late breakfast/early lunch with my 18 month old, mother, and husband. I ordered the crab cake sandwich, it was nice in theory, but all the textures were the same and kind of soft, so I didn't love it. I ended up not eating the brioche and just eating the crab cake the the potatoes on their own.For my son we ordered the Swedish mini pancakes, I thought they'd be ebelskievers, but they were flavorless mini thick crepes... tough in texture. He had a hard time eating them.My mom and husband both thought their food was on the okay side. But all lattes were pretty good. Then a broom fell on my husband's head from their upstairs... okay?!..... The manager came out and said "Sorry boss." and was ready to leave it at that. We told him we felt he should comp us something at least, he came back and had comped all our lattes and my entree and the tip. It was the right thing to do, it would have been better if we didn't have to ask.All in all, we'd come back, but lower our expectations for both the food and the service. It's a fun spot to come and spend the morning, next time we'll do just that.

It's like best breakfast spots in SoCal. Great ambience with great food, I would recommend everyone. Very cool! Also would like to thank our beautiful waitress Bre for hosting us .

Malibu Farm Cafe you are so Perfect! We walked to the end of the pier to find this little gem, got in line on a Saturday morning, and 25 minutes later we were already eating our delicious breakfast burrito! Our potatoes were so delicious we order an extra side of them. We sat on the rooftop and enjoy the Pacific Ocean views!! Everyone has to try this place.

Of course had to stop here while in Malibu! We opted for the cafe rather than the full restaurant to be closer up by the water. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table number. We shared the fried egg sandwich ($19) - this sandwich was delicious, the egg was nice and gooey! Will say it was a bit difficult to share this one with 3 people. The potatoes that came with this were very good! bacon corn panini ($17)- ok this one was the crowd favorite. It was so insanely good- the sweet corn to balance out the saltiness of the bacon and cheese. I want to make this at home! Glad it came with a lil arugula to make myself feel better about all that cheese (ha). swedish mini pancakes ($17)- these were the cutest lil guys and definitely a nice sweet bite (but not too overly sweet) with the savory sandwiches. Overall, great at views and food came pretty quickly. Will say if you're sitting at the upper area- be aware of birds that will come at your food and also a few bees.

Delicious food, great view and casual atmosphere. What more could you want?

... Everything was fresh and tasty. Cute little place at the end of the Malibu pier. We Watched dolphins playing in the water while we ate.

Wow!!! We are visiting from Virginia and happened upon the pier cafe!! Boy are we happy we did! The food is amazing, the ambience is beautiful, and everyone is so nice!!!! We loved it so much we went two days in a row. We are sad we are heading back to VA because we would come back here for breakfast three days in a row! Thanks, Alex and crew! When we are back in Malibu, this will be our first stop!!!
Be the first to ReplyCRAB CAKE SANDWICH.
Just do it. A person in front of us was raving about it and we concur! It's their best dish and their food is generally excellent already.Wonderful breakfast options, gorgeous view and fast and friendly service. Shout out to the kind gentleman who helped us with the umbrellas outside. Protected us from the sun and the birds, lol! Would recommend along with the crab cake sandwich, surfers rancheros, avocado lox toast and the Swedish pancakes. The lobster roll is a skip, get another crab sandwich instead! The agave lemonade is good but very potent, so be warned!

One of my favorite cafes!! The food is absolutely delicious and the whole vibe of the cafe is so cute and beachy. The views are stunning and the workers are so friendly and helpful. I love their olive oil cake! Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Location right on the Malibu pier.
Tacos Trio is really good and goes great with the jalapeño margarita.
Be the first to ReplyI had been seeing Malibu Farm advertising multiple times
I had been seeing Malibu Farm advertising multiple times during my winter stay in California. First in San Diego, where one will be opening in the Seaport. And in Santa Barbara's 2019 visitor guide, where that location has since closed. So when I was shopping nearby in Malibu, seeing the three reference my interest had been raised sufficiently to try it. I for one prefer the Pier Cafe (vs. the Restaurant) because of the menu, counter service, lack of music, and view. While it is first-come first-serve seating and even though the Cafe was popular, during our visit there was plenty of available seating as there is an additional outdoor section up some stairs. We ourselves didn't have any trouble with the birds but if the staff doesn't swoop in right as people leave their table, the patient and practiced birds will immediately. It was a perfect sunny warm Spring day to be outside on the end of the pier enjoying breakfast. I ordered the fried egg sandwich plus I got to sample their wonderful focaccia bread. All the ingredients were top-notch and combined with the stunning ocean view, the experience was worth the elevated price.

I ordered a large kale smoothie and the women behind the receptionist's desk didn't know if there was any dairy in it but they were more than willing to go to the back and ask for me. My sister and my cousin both ordered coffee. Our orders came in a good amount of time and we were amazed by how beautiful the view was from the peer. They had space to sit down directly outside of the restaurant so that you don't have to sit inside in close proximity to other patrons. The staff was really kind, and the flavor of the kale smoothie was amazing. I've always loved kale in smoothies but the way they combined it with banana. I look forward to coming here again and trying something for lunch or for a snack.
