MAKIYAKI GINZA ONODERA Chuo City Reviews from The Last Year
Amazing
A must experience. Michelin star well deserved. The 3 of us sat at the 7 person counter and watched dinner unfold. Chef and staff fluent in English. Truly amazing. All items locally sourced and organic.
Fantastic Experience
The credit card company that made a reservation for us made a mistake resulting in both a booking for lunch and dinner on the same day. Upon arrival we were told about this personally by the chef andcwas told that we would be charged fully for both meals if we canceled. After much head scratching and witch hunting , the chef told us that he wanted our party of 7 to have a good time and if we canceled the dinner booking we would not be charged. If he charged us for the cancelation he understood that we would not be able to enjoy our lunch. On hearing this we were very grateful for his gesture and we immediately ordered two bottles of wine as a means of saying thank you and offered the wine to our chef and sommelier. The atmosphere from this point onwards was all uphill. We toasted each other by the courses and the feeling in the room could get any better. The food was of course great. My favorites being the cold asparagus soup and duck.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
