All was perfect. We take the 4 courses and if they suggere the dishes in fact you can choose Oysters and scallops were perfection
Great service and food
We reserved this restaurant because it was in one of the Kode museum buildings, where we visited in the afternoon. All of our dishes were excellent. Service was somewhat informal but fine. Atmosphere is comfortable, but not high end. We had a four course tasting menu that we arranged beforehand. Very nice experience with wonderful flavors. Would definitely go back.
Top notch Mew Nordic cuisine.

Lovely dinner with excellent service
Lovely dinner starting with meeting the chef/owner and his adorable daughter when we asked about availability of an earlier table. Dinner and service were excellent. Many locally sourced seasonal ingredients but not to the point of sacrificing attention to detail and flavor. Especially good were the ceviche, the oyster, the scallops and the incredible Norwegian strawberry dessert. Waitstaff was thoughtful and gave good recommendations about wine. I also noticed them handling with grace a family who was quite difficult at another table. I hope that many of the KODE building being renovated and therefore empty does not discourage people from finding this gem of a restaurant. We encourage you to put Lysverket at the top of your list for a trip to Bergen.
An Outstanding Birthday Celebration and a Wonderful Meal
What a wonderful evening in every aspect! I took my wife to Lysverket for her birthday meal, and the level of service and the quality of food was out of this world! This exceeded our expectations even from a Michelin star. I don’t eat duck so they prepared a special beef meal for me as part of the set menu, and the rest of the dishes were outstanding too. The particular highlights for me were the ceviche and the scallop which were both locally caught in the Bergen area and prepared to perfection! We even got a special birthday desert as part of the meal, and this was the best desert! If it’s you birthday, make sure you go! We will be back for sure! 🎉🍰🥂
Disappointing
Disappointed.Tasting menu was fine but nothing outstanding, style over substance some dishes did not live up to standard/pricing. Staff were very helpful and service good . White wine not chilled apologies but pretty insincere. Not value for money.
Great Food - Great Experience
Visiting Norway for the first time and my family and I made reservations for Lysverket. We had a fabulous time. The food experience was amazing. Andrew, our food guide and our sommelier (I am ashamed I did not get his name) were exceptional. I did the juice pairing with my meal and was very pleased with the juice selections with my dishes.
Nice Dinner at Lysverket
We enjoyed our meal at Lysverket, though it was not as memorable as some other Michelin-star dining experiences we've had. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a minimalist aesthetic and high-quality furniture. It felt very comfortable while still fresh and modern. The food was good, but not very imaginative. My husband ordered the caviar course that was served with a golden spoon, which was a bit gimmicky. In short, the food was nice and worth a visit, but this is not a can't-miss venue. Also, the pace between courses was very slow.

Having sought out quite a few prix fixe dining experiences at highly regarded restaurants since our visit to Lysverket, I find it necessary to return to this review & add a bit of color. Who visits Norway in the winter? We did, & we don't regret it. Every single tourist attraction, restaurant, fjord overlook, & scenic road was nearly empty. This includes Lysverket. Having read some of the other reviews for this restaurant, I noticed that some folks found issue with the service/timing - We didn't experience this at all. Granted, the restaurant was nearly empty, but the service was impeccable. Everything came out at just the right time. The attention to detail in EVERYTHING was remarkable. We also found the curated menu to highlight Nordic cuisine in a creative, thoughtful, & delectable way we hadn't experienced before. Fresh scallops, crab, mushrooms... Things I wouldn't normally order on my own accord appeared in front of us & dazzled us. Our server, Håkon, was a true professional. He performed every aspect of his job perfectly, but also with ease. It wasn't a stuffy experience. We shared many laughs with him over the course of the evening. To reiterate: Since visiting Lysverket, I've experienced quite a few prix fixe evenings at other places, & Lysverket shines through all of them. All of them. The Michellin Star is not a mistake, people. Lysverket is the real deal.
Food Heaven
This was my 2nd visit to Lysverket - and somehow it topped the first experience! The food was just outrageously great. At times you are scratching your head at what you are eating. My girlfriend and I can talk for Britain; yet there were moments we were completely silent, just looking at each other in quiet disbelief. "What was your favourite dish, Jess?" - "The scallops...no wait...the monkfish...and the chicken...." Jess ended up naming 7 out of the 9 dishes as her joint favourite. I think you would call that a successful meal!!
This is currently the only restaurant in Bergen with a star.
Our dinner and experience was pretty disappointing especially when considering they have a star and the cost. Our friend warned us to be disappointed and he was right. Tldr: service while friendly was severely lacking in timeliness and the food for the most part was meh. If you want a fine dining meal in Bergen, I'd recommend bare, baso social, 1877 or moon (in that order) over lysverket. FWIW, the owners of lysverket also own hoggorm (pizza) and Banzha (Chinese). Banzha is def in my top restaurants in Bergen and hoggorm can be good. First off, all the staff was nice. However, they literally took 50 minutes between the two main dishes. I know it was 50 minutes because I have time stamps on when I took pics of each course. We thought at some point they forgot about us. The final chocolate dish, i didn't think we were going to get but it finally came with the bill. One of the dishes they gave us and then went to take away because they thought they gave it to us already. There were signs in the beginning too. There was a line to get in, and it was going sooo slow for what seemed like no reason when everyone already has reservations and clearly the tables are ready. It also took 30 minutes to get our first dish. As another reviewer said, there was like 2 standout dishes and the rest are meh. On top of that, we ordered the crab and caviar but there were at least 5 pieces of crab shell we had to pull out of our mouth. Also, the lamb was so tough.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
