All-day Dimsum
If you like dim sum - here is a place for you !
They serve dim sum all day long unlike some other places dim sum is served before 2 pm.
In addition to dim sum, they do have some dinner dishes under ‘chef’s recommendation’.
We ordered eggplants in garlic sauce - it was really good!
Their dim sum is good with fresh ingredients !
Good Dim Sun
We had a delightful dim sum lunch with friends here. The last time we visited was right before the Pandemic. It’s great to see the added elaborate partitions between tables that enhance safe distancing and privacy. Our table was comfortable and spacious. We accessed QR menu to order. The dim sums came quickly. Both the shrimp har gow and shrimp siu mai were fresh-tasting and surprisingly enormous. The char siu baos were also delicious. I found the pot stickers (6, came without a dipping sauce) underwhelming but my lunch companion liked them being moist and chewy. Unlike the usual rice noodle rolls chueng fun with bbq pork presentation (sliced char siu filling served in a caramelized soy sauce), here bbq pork was chopped up and tasted dry. Not a fan of the texture and mouthfeel. The crowd pleasers were the sweet dim sums: the sesame balls with red bean filling and the custard tarts were both yummy. Service was good.

We were just there recently - not sure why Triadvisor show it closed!
Anyway - this is a dim sum place and serves dim sum all day - lunch and dinner.
The price may show higher than other dim sum places, but the quantity of food is more than average. Still good value.
Fresh Ingredients, good ordering process - you order online and the servers bring the food to your table.
The ambiance is a modern feel - light and contemporary …
Good place to have dim sum !

We are big fans of the original Lunasia Dim Sum restaurant in Alhambra and would make the long drive from San Diego for our quality dim sum fix so we were excited this location opened nearer and decided to check it out. So how does this location compare? Glad to report that the quality is preserved. Lunasia does not hold back the quality of their ingredients, and one can notice the difference in freshness and taste. These are authentic Hong Kong style dim sums as good as many you will find in Asia. I dare say, they are premium grade. Yes the dim sums are pricier than other places but in addition to the high quality of the ingredients and taste, the size of their dim sum pieces are larger than others that we visited. Their har gao (蝦餃), siew mai (燒賣) for example, are nearly twice the size of a normal one.
We visited during COVID lockdown so we did not get a chance to dine inside but ordered to go. The staff were friendly and professional and observed good social distancing, masks and hygiene policies. Take out items were boxed in professionally designed containers with their beautiful logo.
Still serving to go...despite the Corona
Yes, can't help but order my sweet bun, so delicious.
Drop by and enjoy delicious dim sum...von appetite
No Carts Just Good Dim Sum
My go to dim sum restaurant closed recently so we decided to try Lunasia. The fact that they don’t have carts was fine with us, hoping that the made to order dim sum would be a better quality. The food was very good and fresh. It came out quickly considering we went at 11:30 on a Sunday. The ordering process was easy, and the menu has a picture of every item for those not familiar with the names. My only criticism would be that the dumplings were too big. I prefer smaller bite size dumplings, but that’s not a deal breaker. We will definitely go back. Note: ask for a knife to cut the shumai they really are gigantic.

We had a late Lunar New Year celebration group lunch here early Thursday morning. The organizer of our party had to make a special trip to book a reservation in person after failing to get through by phone. The usually packed parking lot was quite empty at 11am. The interior of this new restaurant looks bright and spacious. The dim sums we ordered including jumbo har gow, spinach shrimp dumplings, shrimp and beef rice noodle rolls, deep fried shrimp dumpling and sticky rice wrap (with abalone!) were served quickly. They were well made and delicious. The whole Peking duck at $40 was nicely presented with generous portions of tender meat (would have been great with crispier skin). The pan fried e fu mein was well-seasoned. While food quality’s solid, there’s room for service improvements. Refilling hot water for tea required multiple prompting. A vegetable dish we ordered never came. The dim sum dish prices range from $5.18 to $7.18 per order and basic noodle dish was $14. A charge of $1.68 per person was added for tea. The bill came to $18 per person including gratuity. Having read reviews about prices and service beforehand to set appropriate expectations, we actually felt it was quite an enjoyable experience.
