Great food before theatre
Food was amazing staff were very nice good reasonable place to eat before the theatre. Would highly recommend it to everyone.

Amazing food. Great portion sizes. Pleasant staff. Probably the best Chinese food I have eaten outside of China. Simply delicious food.
Be the first to ReplyGood dim sum
Had late lunch here with friends, we travelled over from Edinburgh as our dim sum options aren't very good. The portions are a good size. The prawn dumplings Hai gow and Sui Mai are a bigger than your average restaurant. Cheung fun soft and taste freshly made. Ordered a number of different dim sum to try, liked everything. Just the book tripe needed a bit more flavour. I likes the prawn balls with the cheese sauce filling , it's not found at your normal dim sum restaurant. The website needs to update their prices as they are different. The staff were attentive and friendly. Well worth the drive over. Just difficult to find parking as in the city centre.

I can't recommend this place highly enough.I think the bad reviews are being left by jealous competition around them.I eat dim sum all over the world. This is by far my favorite so far. It was packed with people, mainly Asian folk,WHICH IS ALWAYS A GOOD SIGN. The food was sooo fresh,so perfectly made, and served the authentic way. I had way too much food, but every bit of it was awesome,Soo delicious.Cant wait to go back, but won't eat so much next time🤣 staff also very welcoming, well done guys
Be the first to ReplyWhat a lovely surprise
What a surprise. We stumbled upon this place - when we first walked in, we weren't sure about it at all as it looked empty, but we walked around the corner, and we were surprised to see a huge restaurant. Food was so authentic that I had no idea what much of it was, so we played it safe with the business lunch - but next time, I will definitely be more adventurous. Great service - I'll definitely be back and will bring more friends and family
Be the first to ReplyIgnore The Screams
The best Chinese duck I've had in Scotland. Able to ride the line between traditional and British very well. Near perfect service. I did hear some screaming in the back and my chair had a whole in the bottom but other than that a perfect experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat night out
25 of us in total, had an amazing night in the karaoke room down stairs, loads of food which was very tasty, staff are always helpful and attentive. Always have a great time here when we have our annual get together
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Dim Sum
Went to Loon Fung for the first time a few days with a couple of friends, not quite sure what to expect based on reviews, but it ended up being one of the best meals I've ever had in Glasgow! We ordered a selection of Dim Sum including: satay beef dumplings, vietnamese springs rolls, friend turnip mousse and durian fruit cake, and every dish was well-cooked and delicious. We orderd five dishes between the three of us for a light meal, and it was very affordable - coming in at about £32. The staff were also friendly and efficient, and didn't rush us to order when we were waiting for our third friend. Highly reccommend, we'll definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyLoon Dung would be better name
Been here previously and it had been great. This time around it was poor. Main course was the worst I've had ever. Fried rice appeared/tasted like stained boiled rise. Orange chicken was fruit free slimey chicken wafer thin and mostly batter....ideal for vegans I suppose. No taste. After they removed the stuff they brought orange pieces....guess that was to get rid of taste of food....Best bit of meal....tasted of orange....perhaps would have been better in the meal. Serving wasn't the best. Managed approx 30% of it....no one questioned this ...just interested in cash I suppose. Staff were okay but less than welcoming. Won't be back. Avoid
Be the first to ReplyPerfect Cantonese dim sum, highly recommended
Really good, authentic dim sum and lovely service. Of particular note - well, everything! V nice fried morning glory, every dumpling delicious, excellent noodles, just what our family group wanted.
Be the first to ReplyPaying for leftovers
Tried Loon Fung through Hungry Panda for a noon pickup of buns and salt and chilli chicken. When I got the notification that our food was ready the person on duty didn't know about the order and clearly threw some scraps of chicken from the day before into a takeaway tub then tossed it in a microwave. Hardly any of it plus old and hard besides. If you aren't ready for customers at opening, change your hours of collection.
Be the first to ReplyWorst takeaway ive eaten in my 27 years of life
They served me pig intestines, beef stomach, fish balls and soggy pork skin instead of a chow mein. Quite literally the worst food I've ever laid eyes on - I ordered a house special chow mein and relieved what I can only describe as a fishy umbilical cord stew. Quite literally vile, and the restaurant refused to help when I called up. I paid 18 quid for pig innards, cow stomach and processed fish balls in horrid watery gravy AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We went for lunch here one Saturday, we haven't been for about 4 years as we were put off by the attitude of the staff. However we decided to give it another go and much to our surprise the staff were much nicer and more helpful, we had a lovely table on the raised balcony area which was just perfect, the table was roomy and we weren't rushed to order our food. They have an excellent wine list and the prices are very reasonable. As a starter I had soft shell salt and chilli crab - simply delicious and my husband had crispy salt and chilli chicken which he said was gorgeous, I had duck chow mein for a main again scrumptious and my husband had crispy beef szechuan (with extra chilli!!!) and egg fried rice, the portions were huge and we asked to take what we left home with us (which actually made another meal each and it was really good reheated). The prices were excellent and the service was good. Highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and not good food.
I was not impressed. I had sweet and sour chicken with rice. The chicken was very, very hard. It tasted rubbery…. Not good. I was even thinking that it was maybe cooked a day or two ago… but I did not want to complain, I was tired and I just wanted to go home. It was all very overpriced also ! This dish cost £19.50 !!! Wow! At least if it tasted nice I would of course have not said anything….
Be the first to ReplyBest Chinese food outside of China
My fiancée took me to China year before covid. Best memories ever. This has got to be best Chinese restaurant outside of China. I was once told if the restaurant is full of locals you're in a great place. Only place in Scotland I've found congee and chicken feet on the menu. The Szechuan duck and chicken satay are to die for. Outstanding place and can't wait to return
Be the first to ReplyDinner for 2 at Loon Fung Glasgow
Went for dinner at Loon Fung on Sauchiehall Street Glasgow. Food was absolutely dreadful, no taste, rubber texture, sauces disgusting, badly presented. Service not friendly or helpful. Worst experience in a restaurant I have ever had. Put me off Chinese food for life. Zero stars absolutely terrible restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyDisgusting
I ordered a king prawn hot pot, it looked good. However, the black intestine in the middle of the prawn was left inside. I paid £17.99 for the dish.
Be the first to ReplyAlright dinner.
The food was ok, service was similar. It’s a big place and it certainly looks nice, the Chinese National screaming from the basement was off putting put all in all good experience.
Be the first to Replylovely food great live theatre
food was good but hugely unexpected live art performance was the highlight. The men in masks dragging the service staff back into the kitchen to get more food showed impressive commitment too customers
Be the first to ReplyReal authentic Dim Sum
We went based on recommendation via Facebook, and glad we did! It's always a good sign when there are lots of Chinese eating at a Chinese restaurant! The restaurant was very spacious and comfortable. Ordering was very easy, tick the items off a list, the menu has photos of all the dishes. They arrived steaming hot, very tasty, good quality, authentic. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, highly recommended!
Be the first to ReplyA Birthday celebration Dinner that exceeded expectations
8 of us arrived at 7:00, to a huge Marble Circular table, that was topped with a revolving Marble Lazy Susan that meant, passing plates and drinks to others across the 6 Foot diameter Disc, was an effortless spin away. We ordered Drinks and Table Water. Bottled Water is expensive, and Scotlands tap Water, from our own Loch Kathrine, is clear, fresh and FREE. We ordered appetisers/Starters such as Salt & Chili Soft She’ll Crab, Salt and Chili Squid, Green Beans in Garlic Sauce, several Dim Sum such as Pork and Prawn Dim Sum, Spring Rolls, Lettuce Wrap Rolls all served piping hot, all exquisite and delicious! The Main I had was Chili Beef, but there were lots more too numerous to mention, again all delicious, and again served fresh and piping hot. The Fried Rice was so deliciously flavoured, I could eat it on its own, which I did. The amount served per person in individual containers, was more than sufficient. The portion size of each Main Course was plentiful as well, no much the Starters, for example only 2 Soft Shelled Clams, 4 Dim Sum per type ordered. But there were enough variety of Starters ordered it wasn’t noticeable as we shared bits of each. Service was fine, slight language issues regarding the dividing up of the Bill into 2 separate cheques, each for 4 people, but nothing that wasn’t sorted out amicably. I would go here in a heartbeat!! In fact I would live in their Kitchen!

Food… dim-sum… old school, authentic, excellent. One of the few Chinese restaurants in the UK serving Cantonese food as close to the real thing as you are going to get. Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
