Long Bar and Terrace Boston Reviews from The Last Year
Trading on the Raffles name but not ultra luxe
Having stayed at Raffles Singapore, London and Warsaw, the Boston hotel is a massive disappointment. The rooms are small and poorly designed. The wardrobe is tiny and not suitable for leisure travellers staying multiple days. Even in the suites you barely get much more room. The beds are no larger than Kings. The bathrooms are small. The amenities are basic eg standard rather than Dyson hairdryers. The water pressure is mediocre. Note also that many of the rooms and suites overlook a car park - as does the swimming pool. Note also the corridors appear not to be air conditioned and are very hot on warm days. The breakfasts are good but extremely overpriced - well over fifty dollars a person. The spa is good but only does massage and facials. No manipedi, hair, other options. The butlers and concierge are friendly but response times are slow relative to similarly priced hotels eg Aman New York. I came back to my room today at 3 and it still hasnt been made up. This is basically a well located nice business hotel with smaller rooms than the MO or Four Seasons. It’s not suitable for a longer stay. It’s not a luxe product. I feel ripped off / mis sold on the Raffles name.
Taking Boston to another level
Beautiful spacious room and wonderful customer service. Excellent cafe and bar with awesome views. Very well located and easy access to all of the retail and shops on Newbury Street and Back Bay. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.
A Truly Impressive Stay
This was our family’s first trip to Boston, and what a way to see it, being based at one of the newest (and most impressive) hotels there! We were so well-placed to explore this wonderful city, which is truly beautiful. Raffles Boston is welcoming, modern and exudes a relaxing atmosphere that feels luxurious at the same time. Rooms are incredible and the views from our suite were stunning. Staff are friendly and excellent at anticipating needs, which just makes it all the more easy to relax. Our son enjoyed the swimming pool, as did we - the amenities are excellent. We had several lovely breakfasts and dinners at the Long Bar and Terrace - such an impressive venue with sensational views, an exciting menu and top drinks to boot! We left Raffles Boston already planning our return trip - mightily impressed!
Spectacular property
Raffles Boston is a true gem. The architect/designers have created something perfectly timeless: elegant and modern, using natural materials of stone, wood and leather. Every surface looks and feels luxurious without being stuffy. The bars, restaurants, gym, pool and meeting rooms are all incredibly inviting. Combine that with service that goes the extra mile from a super attentive staff. This is a big win for Boston. Congratulations, Raffles team. Come to Chicago next!
Nice property…but
Very elegant property. People were very nice. Getting a drink at the bar should not be so difficult at such a high end hotel. Finally sat at the long bar on our fourth attempt over two days. Got rejected repeatedly even though plenty of tables and seats available. Hostess Shane was more like a gatekeeper. Pleasant but very controlling. Really found it off-putting. Need to rethink the space and process.
Hotel stay
Hello, I would like to provide feedback on my stay at the Raffles Boston. To be honest, it felt very expensive compared to the service provided. Upon arrival, despite having paid a substantial amount, I was initially given a very small room. I requested a change because it seemed like they were trying to take advantage of me. Furthermore, I was promised a complimentary spa service during booking, which was not provided upon my arrival, an omission I find quite dishonest. My package was supposed to include breakfast, yet every time I inquired, I was told I needed to pay, which was disturbing and inconvenient throughout my stay. Additionally, upon checking out, I was erroneously charged an extra $200, which was only removed after I pointed it out. Moreover, for two bottles of Coke and a chocolate from the fridge, they charged me approximately $70, which is exorbitant.. The overall experience was far from relaxing and contributed to a stressful, mentally taxing environment, which is unacceptable given the deceptive practices and overcharging.
Long Bar and Terrace at Raffles Boston
I would like to give a big shout out to the team at Raffles Boston! What an amazing place! As someone who works in the hospitality industry and enjoys traveling and trying fine dining restaurants, including Michelin Star restaurants, I must say that my experience at Raffles Boston was exceptional from start to finish. The valet guys in front of the building were very welcoming, helpful, and kind. When we walked inside and took the elevator to the 17th floor, where two restaurants are located - the Long Bar and Terrace with a gorgeous view, and the Amar, a nice and lovely fine dining restaurant - we were impressed. While taking some photos, we walked to the host stand, and a gorgeous lady, Seda (I hope I spelled it correctly), helped us and walked us to our table. She was pleasant, kind, friendly, and super professional. We talked about her country since she’s from Turkmenistan. Great start to our experience at Raffles! When we sat down, we were greeted by our server, Jason, a nice guy who was professional throughout our dining experience. We decided to start with champagne to set the mood on a beautiful and sunny day. While enjoying our drinks, we looked at the menu and decided to have potato croquettes and a charcuterie board. The cheeses were served with homemade jam, spicy pickled vegetables, and homemade sourdough bread. We got another round of drinks and clearly enjoyed our time. After the great snack, we decided to have dessert. The apple tart with a mousse on top was amazing! Fresh, light, creamy, with a great tartlet, it was just divine. For a drink, we decided to have an espresso martini with Baileys, and it was perfect. It gave us the energy we needed before we went to change and headed to our dinner reservation. The place is gorgeous, very well-maintained, and every single corner has a great story. The colors are beautiful, and Raffles is something that Boston just needed. We loved everything, and we said that we were going to be back to dine at the fine dining restaurant pretty soon! Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you soon! Srdan Dokovic
If you're used to luxury hotels, Raffles Boston is disappointing
I booked a last-minute stay for me and my husband for our anniversary. Immediately upon booking I emailed for assistance with Long Bar reservations for the evening of our stay and breakfast the next day. I disclosed in that email the occasion that we were celebrating. This is far from our first stay in luxury hotels, even ones that include butler service. We are aware of the level of service that accompanies this type of hotel. And I want to be clear: this is a review of a $1300/night hotel and so there are very different expectations. Most of the below wouldn't phase me at a Hilton, but this is Raffles. Our check-in process was smooth and our butler, Michael, was very friendly and helpful. The property is beautifully designed and our room was comfotable and well-appointed. Everything we'd expect in a luxury hotel. From the accommodation perspective, everything was completely lovely. We did, however, notice a sharp drop in terms of dining. We ventured to the Blind Duck bar right when it opened at 5pm. We walked into the first bar area and the bartender asked us to wait for the hostess, which we had no problem doing as she was seating another guest. There were four other guests in there at the time. When she came up she was visibly and tonably annoyed and spoke to us as if we were inconveniencing her. We told her we wanted a drink and maybe a small snack (their menu only had about five such "bites"). "Um, ok, follow me," was her response. As we walked to the table she told us she could seat us but we had to promise to be out by 8 pm. First, that's unnecessarily inhospitable given we had already shared that we only wanted a drink each and maybe a bite. Second, we are paying guests of the hotel whose concierge encouraged us to experience the Blind Duck and explained it was open very late. We were given no reason (such as a private event) as to why we needed to be out by 8 pm. Looking at reviews it seems as if this has been an issue for a while and it doesn't seem to have been addressed. This is the main reason I've decided to leave a public review rather than emailing privately. We had a reservation at 8 pm in the Long Bar. When we arrived we were told our table wasn't ready yet and to go and wait in the lobby. It was clear they would rather we not enter the restaurant, and they neither said we could wait at the bar nor did they walk us to the lobby (as would be expected of a hotel of this caliber). At 8:20 we were directed to our table: the worst table in the entire restaurant, right next to the bar and a large and rowdy group of Kentucky Derby-attired people. I told them this was our anniversary (which should've been noted in our record as soon as I had emailed it) and I'd rather not have visibly drunk people bumping into me as I ate. Our hostess said another table had their check if we wanted to wait. So back to the lobby we went. At this point, I did share my concerns with the concierge who listened very attentively and spoke with the restaurant. When the hostess came to get us, to her credit, she was apologetic and welcoming. The restaurant did comp our $25 oysters off our >$400 bill, which was an acknowledgment. In contrast, I once ordered a bottle of champagne to be ready in our room at check-in in the Four Seasons San Francisco. The bottle was delayed only about 30 mins, which we didn't care about, but they ended up comping the bottle. Bottom line: even basic restaurants know to hold a table that opens at 7:40 when there's an 8:00 reservation coming up. And, all the people at the bar? They eventually were seated at tables to eat. I don't know why they were allowed to wait at the bar when we were so quickly dismissed to the lobby. It gave a very strong message of being unwelcome. The next morning we went back to the Long Bar for a 10 am breakfast reservation. When we got to the host stand they seemed confused as they located our reservation. This makes me wonder if there are kinks in the systems. After some clarifying questions, we were welcomed to our table. My husband and I ordered egg-based meals with toast. It took longer to get eggs than it did steak the night before. I also noticed other tables waited a very long time for their meals. When our food came out our toast was barely warm and not buttered, though quickly the woman who brought our food said she'd be back with butter. We never saw her again. Several minutes later we managed to flag our server who then took several more minutes to bring a cold pat of butter for our now-cold toast. This is fine for a diner experience, but this is not what you expect at $1300/night. Further, the food was subpar. These are little things, sure, but luxury hotels and their restaurants should not drop the ball like this. In fact, the difference between $500 and above $1000 is the little things. I decided to compare hotel stays in order to make sure I was evaluating with enough grace. I stayed at Hotel Fauchon in Paris shortly after its opening. It was a bold, stylish hotel. At no point did the French staff make me feel unwanted (and that's their reputation!). I very recently stayed at La Reserve Paris, another butlered hotel. All staff were so attentive that they anticipated every question or need. They even knew our names when we arrived independently (I still can't figure out how). When we met friends for drinks at the Ritz, the Ritz staff knew exactly who our friends were (they were hotel guests) and whisked us there promptly, and before I could put my purse on the floor they came out with a little table for it. At its price point, and boasting five stars and the Raffles name, Boston Raffles is not far behind these hotels. The reality shouldn't be either. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel and room experience. But we're incredibly disappointed by the dining and staff attitude. I have of course seen Boston Raffles all over social media and when I looked around I saw a lot of influencer types present. I do wonder if our experience is down to pleasing obvious influencers over paying hotel guests. It's a marketing strategy, for sure, but I'm not sure it's a sustainable one. Eventually, the higher-paying hotel guests will eat and sleep at other fine hotels in Boston. If Raffles can't differentiate from the two Four Seasons here, then why stay at Raffles? I don't know what the fix is, and maybe this is all just the kinks of a new place (though they've been open nine months). The bars and dining are open to external guests and they seem to be favored over hotel guests. There really should be a prioritization of hotel guests as there is at every other property of this caliber. Maybe Raffles management needs to send its staff to luxury hotels to understand the expectations.
Finally made it to Boston to check out one of the newer
Finally made it to Boston to check out one of the newer lounges located inside Raffle Hotel. We were greeted by their staff upon entering the main door. Proceeded to the elevator to the 17th floor to access the bar and restaurant. Once exiting the elevator, turn left to go to Long Bar & Terrace or turn right to go to AMAR. We went left to Long Bar since we had just finished dinner elsewhere close by. At the host stand, we were told it was an hour wait for a table but we were welcome to sit at the bar as it's first come first serve. We placed our name down on the waitlist and went to the bar to get drinks. About 15 minutes later, the hostess grabbed us and said the table was ready (we were pleasantly surprised). The room was packed by the way and so was the bar. We ordered more drinks and oysters. The server brought out some snacks for the table. Service was prompt at the bar and at the dining area. The terrace was closed on that day which was slightly disappointing but the weather was chilly so it wasn't too disappointing. Our seats had a great view of Boston. Our total was $107 (pre-tip) for 3 cocktails, a hot tea and half a dozen oysters. It was definitely on the pricier side but given the ambiance and how beautiful the hotel is, we didn't mind paying a premium. Will definitely come back when it is warmer so we can sitting outside on the terrace.
Exceptional stay with as sincere and happy team!
The Raffels Boston is truly a treasure! My husband and I were traveling on both business and pleasure. We received a very sincere welcome. The attention to detail and the level of sophistication and Comfort stood out. The staff were truly happy and made us feel at home. We took advantage of all that the hotel had to offer. Drinks at the bar dinner at the beautiful Amar restaurant. Room service for breakfast and a beautiful treatment at the Spa… The relaxation space and the pool area are very well thought out, and everything was at the ready that you could wish for… Exceptional stay with a sincere and happy team!
Birthday Night At Raffles Boston and Guerlain Spa Treatment
The pool is absolutely divine. Spa treatments are soothing with the steam and sauna and Guerlain products make your skin feel amazing. The butler service is wonderful, and just a text away from your requests being met. The burger and fries disappointing though. For Raffles Boston I was expecting a WOW burger and fries experience and it was just ok. The smoothie from Café Pastel was not filled to the top of the cup! The positive outweighs any of the negative by far. I will continue to spend my birthdays/ special events and holidays at Raffles Boston. Which by the way they gave me the cutest and most delicious Boston Cream birthday cake and delicious chocolates during my spa birthday experience! Thank you Raffles!!!
Beautiful property, brand new building but below average breakfast
I booked Raffles to spend couple days with my wife and our suite was amazing, new furnitures, excellent shower etc. Concerning our dining experience, Raffles has a lot work to do, we had just a breakfast and the combination with super expensive meals and bad customer service made our experience terrible. Example, the hostess that day (Sunday, april 21st) was in her cel phone and eating behind her computer and after ate, cleaned her hands on her uniform giving us a terrible impression; second example, I saw a fork under one other table, waited for anyone pick it up but nobody did, I picked it up, gave to this lady and she put the fork over a table, not even in a sink or tray for dirty silverware etc. I was just wondering what happens behind the curtains, the proper cleaning standards are really followed? Thumbs up for John and other guys that work in the main entrance, great customer service, they are the best in every part of their business, calling a cab, handle our luggage etc.
5 Star Welcome
We came to Amar in the Raffles Hotel and the highlight of the night was our interaction with Zach and Claudio, the concierge/valet staff. It was our anniversary and from the second we pulled up, Zach made the night feel special. He was funny, kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back and hope to see both friendly faces.
Girl’s Getaway!
A beautiful accommodation with a top notch team and outstanding service! From the moment my friend and I stepped foot on the property, we immediately felt that this was our “home away from home.” Upon arrival to our beautiful room, we were welcomed with The Boston Sling as well as other delicious amenities and hand written notes from our wonderful butler, Katie and our former colleague/friend Elias - who we so greatly appreciate for arranging this special girl’s getaway! Amar was our dinner choice for the evening and the food was bursting with flavors. Michael was very friendly and helpful in giving us recommendations and pairings since we were so indecisive on what to get - too many good options! Anya was a joy to talk with and she always ensured we were comfortable. A true asset to the team here at Raffles! The next morning, we went to Long Bar for breakfast and WOW! The food left me speechless and the freshly squeezed orange juice - YUM! We were approached by Waleed and from that moment, it truly felt like we had known each other for years! He is a great addition to your team! Another special shoutout to Sanjae - very personable and professional! Sanjae graciously showed us some of the meeting spaces as well as the Speakeasy on the day of our departure since we did not have enough time to visit it! Also very thankful that after we checked out of our room we were still able to enjoy the wellness facilities such as the sauna, steam room and pool. Really enjoyed the rain showers in the pool area overlooking Boston! It really felt like we were leaving family when we departed. We have decided this will be our home for our special girl’s getaways! We can’t wait to be back in June! Thank you times a million!
Came here after dinner for drinks at the bar and was very
Came here after dinner for drinks at the bar and was very amazed by it! Had reservations high tea but didn't workout due to schedule but definitely would have to come back for it soon! I can say this is my new favorite bar/lounge place for all year round. It is very pretty and nice and the ambiance is amazing There is also a beautiful patio with breathtaking view of Boston which is great for nice weather! The drinks were really good and creative. Average prices for drinks. The next thing is to rebook high tea and definitely dinner soon!!
Great last minute thanksgiving dinner location.
Excellent menu choices. Not just the traditional turkey and stuffing thing. If I'm in Boston for the next thanksgiving then I'll be at the Long Bar
Great luxury in the center of Boston
Beautiful modern hotel in the vibrant Back Bay neighborhood. A staff that takes care of its customers is very pleasant. The rooms are high up and therefore quiet. Very very well equipped, nothing is missing. Clearly worth the price. It is a true haven of peace in which to rest.
Hostess couldn't give a competent answer on availability,
Hostess couldn't give a competent answer on availability, and then hung up. You can get better customer service at McDonalds.
SIMPLY THE BEST BOSTON HOTEL
FIRST OFF....LOCATION! Perfect to get around the city. Trains, cars and by foot are all steps away. We stayed for nine nights and from the moment I arrived with my 16 year old daughter,, we felt taken care of. The staff are invested in making it feel like home. We were there to tour colleges and we were introduced to staff members who had attended a couple of the colleges we were visiting. Alex, A BU student who works at Raffles on the weekends, put together a package for my daughter that was waiting for her the first morning. Nick, our Butler, was on top of every detail and made a mean welcome cocktail! He was always available via text and so warm and welcoming. Most of the 17th floor (which is home reception and the writing room and stellar view) knew our names and took time to chat and check in on our time in Boston. Christa and Sanje, were exceptional with communication and wonderful suggestions for meals, coffee and places to explore. Anya, Client Relations, was a delight to sit and chat with! Each night upon returning to the hotel, the evening "treat"was waiting and there were always plenty of water bottles in the room. As for the spa facilities, pool and gym, they are beautiful, just a little impractical with very few hooks to hang robes or towels. That's also the one element missing in the room. Girls like hooks! The rooms are stunning and the beds make it hard to get up in the morning, they are heavenly! As the hooks are the only constructive thing I would mention, clearly that leads one to give Raffles a 10+! Looking forward to my next stay and seeing all their friendly faces again! And definitely hit Flour and The Friendly Toast, right outside the hotel, just steps way!
We saw an IG reel about Raffles offering afternoon tea
We saw an IG reel about Raffles offering afternoon tea service at the Long Bar and Terrace so we booked tea time. I've been to almost all the establishments that offer afternoon tea in Boston so I'm excited to try this place. Raffles is beautiful. Its interior design kicks the ambiance up several levels. We got seated in a tiny corner for 3 people. I wish they gave us a regular table instead because the server struggled to put everything on the tiny table. We saw 2 people sitting at tables larger than ours. We made the reservation weeks ago so I'm pretty sure they could have arranged the seating better. It would have been more comfortable and more enjoyable if they arranged better. The food was alright; there are many places that's better. The tea wasn't potent either. However, I do like the orange marmalade a lot. I'm not sure if it's homemade but it was the best marmalade I've ever had. I'm also not really a jam person but they make me want to buy it! Overall, a nice experience, mainly because of the environment and service.
Outstanding decor. The service has minor flaws.
The hotel has an amazing infrastructure. The decor is outstanding. The staff was very kind and helpful. However, there’s room for improvement in the service. My bill came with two mistakes and I received a coffee cup with lipstick marks on it during breakfast. The restaurant Amar has good food, but not very exciting. The speakeasy bar has great drinks, but needs to improve the first contact with customers at the entrance.
The service is wonderful.
Very knowledgeable and tentative. Though it's a lounge, we decided to take our family gathering here. The service team was really kind and the drinks were delicious. The food was tasty but it's more of lounge food than dinner. The decor is modern but the view could be better. I would come back again for the drinks and atmosphere.
Amazing experience
Decided to stay at Raffles for my first ever trip to Boston after a great experience in their Singapore hotel. The hotel is located literally around the corder to the Back Bay train station so get off at that stop if you are travelling on the Amtrak like I did as opposed to the Boston south or north stations. Staff were incredibly attentive, nothing was too much trouble and the check in experience was a smooth as you are sat in a lounge and checked in over a coffee / tea as you bags are taken to your room. The room I stayed in was on the 12th floor and was very spacious and had fantastic views. Plenty of sockets by the bed (both USB and plugs) and main control for light and blinds. An extensive mini bar if you wanted and my butler made me up their signature cocktail as they showed me the amenities in the room. Bathroom was huge with a double sink and stand alone bath with a large walk in shower (powerful). Once checked in your butler will ask to add you to their WhatsApp group for any questions - most helpful this day and age rather than calling several teams you can ask any questions and they connect you to either housekeeping / concierge etc - I used this feature a lot, to let them know when to make my room do asking for directions / sight suggestions and restaurant bookings. Beyond breakfast (which had a large range of cold and hot food on the menu) I did not eat at the hotel but did attend the speak easy bar on both nights where a special mention to Marion the bartender who went above and beyond to make sure I had a great night (thank you). That said all the staff were very attentive and helpful during my stay. Lastly the gym was an amazing experience, absolutely huge and every machine you could ask for, including plenty of free weights and machine weights, runners, bikes, rows, Peloton etc. Did not use the pool unfortunately but did use the steam and saunas in the changing rooms - awesome after a days walking. Traveller trip (as I found out the hard way) hard to get a taxi in Boston, use Uber, additionally most taxis (non uber) will only want to take cash. Look forward to coming back to Raffles soon.
Beautiful Place, not so the bar service
We were not staying but wanted to look around at this new hotel, since we had stayed prior in Asia at a couple of these sumptuous hotels known for their service. Beautiful Asian interior design reminded us of good times living abroad in China. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful until we sat at the Long Bar for drinks. We expected high prices, it is what it is, a glass of an average Sancerre for $24 and a white Negroni for $22. The bartender was not particularly helpful with my cocktail selection and certainly did not explain that my drink was premade in a small bottle. Very weird, yet tasty I admit. He simply was not interested in us and did not represent what we had experienced abroad. We think there may have been something wrong. was he ill, with his face, mouth, nose as he was constantly rubbing with his hands. A very nice view of course and an outdoor terrace is yet to open. The lounge bar was very busy mid afternoon.
Snobby service.
They think they are doing you a favor by allowing you in there. Hostesses are far too young to be so jaded. Step up the service and be humble.
Came here for brunch and really enjoyed it.
Not only was the food good but they go over the top to make sure it looks good too. The restaurant has great views of the city. Probably TMI, but the men's urinal overlooks the highway, quite the experience and view. Breakfast sandwich - What sets it apart is the onion crunch it's topped with and the amazingly soft bread it is served on. It is a very handsome breakfast sandwich. They were even nice enough to cut it perfectly in half Cod Cake Eggs Benedict - The cod cake acts as the bread and the meat of the classic version, which makes it a very manageable portion. It's different but excellent if you liken fish. Portuguese donut - It was good but nothing special. Bluefin Tuna - If you love Tuna Tartare you'll love their version.
A great anniversary getaway
The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. It was evident that they are the epitome of team work. Our Amar tasting menu dinner was superb. The chef cooked dishes that were beautiful to the eye and pleasing to the stomach. We had massages with Paula, she was outstanding. One of the best massages I have ever had!! The room was beautifully appointed. We even had a half bath. As to our comfort, no detail was overlooked.
The best of everything
This is the most luxurious hotel I have ever stayed at. This is perfection. The gym is state of the art, the rooms have everything, the fine dining is extraordinary and flowers everywhere. Their attention to details is like no other hotel. However, what makes this the best hotel is the staff. Anya who is in charge of guest services insures that every guest has the best hotel experience in every way- from the moment you walk in their front door until you leave.
Exceptional service in a beautiful hotel in a great location!
Exceptional hotel with beautiful accommodations in a very convenient location. Absolutely top tier service, every single Raffles team member was outstanding! Raffles Boston is a lovely, elegant, well appointed, professionally staffed hotel. Raffles is special! Thank you for making my son’s and my birthday weekend such a cherished memory—we will be back!
Service is really uncoordinated.
Reservation is useless since we had to wait over 30minutes for my table. And the food menu was extremely limited for brunch. Not going back
I had the best time here- Lalta was easily the nicest
I had the best time here- Lalta was easily the nicest bartender I've ever encountered in Boston. She made incredible drinks and her service to us was outstanding. Will absolutely be coming here again.
Cool bar, cool atmosphere, cool hotel.
Transports you to another city; doesn't feel like you're in Boston. Very long bar, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows; the inside of Long Bar is beautiful, and the views from the 17th floor are nice too. Because it's new, you will encounter a wait to get into the bar (at night). No free standing space, so you have to sit at a table (reservations), or have a spot at the bar. Again, contributes to the long line. Thought drinks were tasty, just took awhile to get them since they were so packed. Pricey drinks, but that's expected for this hotel chain (Raffles hotel). Definitely have to try their famous and signature drink, the "Singapore Sling"!!
Boston's Best Restaurants that are most frequently booked by customers of Long Bar and Terrace Boston
Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!
Worked flawlessly!
Worked so well! I was a bit nervous, but everything went very smoothly. purchased the reservation, and got into the restaurant seamlessly.
Love this app!
So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?

Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
