Came here on a calm thursday night and we had such a pleasant time! Highly recommend getting the scorpion bowl which is great for sharing. Ambiance is better than expected coming from a 3rd ave. lovation. We only got drinks and desserts but we'll be coming back to try their food selections!! Our server Christian C. was great and very attentive! Overall an amazing experience =] !!
Be the first to ReplyFood was amazing.
Drinks were strong. Enjoyed time there. Very relax and casual. Our attendant took time to understand want we wanted.
Be the first to ReplyUpdate: Came around 6pm on a Friday evening with my friend.
Walked in, and no one there to greet us at the podium. Someone from the bar was able to sit us down in a booth near the bar. Ordered the fried musubi balls and only got 3 pieces. Photos on the past reviews were misleading as 6 pieces were shown. And it was $13!!! The musubi balls only had 3 pieces of diced spam in them! It was basically flavorful rice, but totally NOT worth it. 4/10. They delivered this appetizer first but no utensils/plates/napkins until after we started eating. We each ordered our food: the 3 tacos. My friend ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the pork belly tacos. I'd give the tacos a 7/10. Pork belly flavor and texture were pretty tasty. Size was good, but toppings were decent. We wished we could have the option to mix and match tacos. After that, we were barely checked up on like really, they delivered the food and the next time was to pick up our empty plates and we talked in between for so a lengthy time catching up. I asked for water when they cleared our table, and he forgot, but was very apologetic. We sat there for another good 30-45 min until finally someone else checked up on us and we asked for the check. I came bc my friend wanted to try it out and I hoped for better since it was months when I was there last year. But the service still needs improvement! Like, hire more people or improve the training. And the food I believe is so overpriced for trying to meet Hawaiian/tropical food standards. Music was at a great level and the lighting is nice too in the evening. There's parking around the corner behind it. Free after 6pm.

We were looking for something unique for our only night in town and we had a huge party! Everyone arrived at different times but service was very patient. The Mai Tai was good, not best ever, but good. I had the chicken yakasobi which was very nice.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for food, drinks, and vibes.
Nice ambiance/decor. Staff were very tentative (ie cleared plates as soon as they were empty, filled out waters, etc). We had drinks, appetizers, and got the same entrees for dinner (loco moco), and also tried some of the chef's creation for dessert. All were good except the loco moco definitely can use some work (it was rather bland so poured a lot of soy sauce on it). The restaurant itself is kids friendly. Definitely need to check out the speakeasy in the back (without the baby of course). Highly recommend this spot; we sure will be back!

Pretty good food, good service but food was a little slow to come out, great vibes, fun little speakeasy in the back.

This was my first time attending and I specifically went to their Lovers And Friends pop up bar for Valentine's Day. (It's a speakeasy in the back of the main restaurant). The ambiance for the speakeasy was very cute and well thought out. It's a great date night location and has valentines decorations everywhere. The drinks were amazing and well crafted. They all had a unique taste and their own little story. I had the OO Baby which was served in a mini bath tub. We also had the I Love You Berry Much shot which was amazing! The food was also good. I had their buffalo wings and poke nachos which were a solid 8/10. Service was great and the owner was even there and was very nice to my friends and I. Overall don't have anything negative to say.
Be the first to ReplyAmbience was okay.
Liked the theme but the screaming kid next to us- not so much. And hearing the dad tell the sister not to look at the brother so he wouldn't cry. Waiting for our food forever & my appetizer came out(20 minutes & then my husbands dinner 30 minutes later & then my garlic fried rice 20 minutes after that!) I was over it...the rice was nasty, I spit it into my napkin. The coconut shrimp was ehhh- they give you 7 or 8- I ate 2. Our server was cool. She checked on us & apologized profusely....she took off the rice & comped my husband a beer. Very nice of her but I would have preferred delicious food instead.
Be the first to ReplyEl lugar es súper agradable, la comida es deliciosa.
Sin mencionar los tragos estaban riquísimos, lo recomiendo para pasar el rato con tus amig@s o una date
Be the first to ReplyReview for speakeasy X Marks the Spot.
The bartender Karrah was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service. We had the Zombie, Scorpion Bowl and Long Island. Each drink was wonderfully crafted and taste great. Will definitely be back to try more drinks. The food was ok priced high for appetizers and the size.
Be the first to ReplyI am not one to write bad reviews but customers beware.
Service is good, but man, the menu is deceitful. We ordered coconut shrimp, it was way over cooked and slightly burnt, we should of returned it but did not. We waited for almost 30 minutes after initial service, we were patient but they didn't even attempt to check on us. We had to corner them to service us. I ordered Poke, and I'm not picky but this was a 3 of 10. Nothing fancy. My husband got the Banh mi. DO NOT do it if you have had the real thing, not the same or even close, I promise. Ok, last, and most important complaint...DO NOT order the "lime and coconut" drink.... I'll admit my husband enjoyed the first one and well, we ordered a second. Long story short, a drink with rum, pineapple and cinnamon in a cute cup costed 26.00 each! Look, I'm all for quality but this wasn't it. Not impressed. Will not be coming back. We were really hoping to support our local restaurant, Sorry, not this one. A couple drinks, appetizer, and two meals were well OVER a hundred dollars. All good if they were meeting the mark, but this wasn't it. Cute place, but way over priced.

Parking: free and abundant on a Sunday afternoon!Service: 5 star, friendly, fast, and attentive. Thank you, Francisca!Food: Very delicious, large portions. I enjoyed my rice bowl with Kahlua pork, garlic rice, and potato salad, and I have plenty left over for my next meal. Fried Spam Musubi Balls did not disappoint. Crispy outside, ricey spammy yummy inside.Drink: Our shareable King Kamehameha was worth the $25- heavy pour on the rums ;)Beautifully decorated tropical, tiki themed restaurant, open window seating, private booths, and bar seating available. All plates and drinks had beautiful presentations as well. The music was not ear-splitting loud. We were able to have conversation without yelling at each other. Today's mix was eclectic - Hawaiian, Elvis, 90's jams, Beach Boys, etc. Sad to see the old restaurant Mangia Italiano go, but Lime in the Coconut is fun, festive, and worth a try.
Be the first to ReplyLoving the vibe of this place.
Can't wait to check out the speak easy tiki bar. Drinks were great as well.

Well the place is nice open, plenty of space, food is good, drinks are good. However, service today on a Sunday afternoon at 5pm is not very good. I had to keep calling over for someone to come over. We didn't even have utensils when the food arrived. A restaurant with no utensils!!!! Really?
Be the first to ReplyBy far THE BEST spot on 3rd Ave.

I have been to this place multiple times and every time I have the best experience. I was there this past Friday, and my server Evelin was so amazing. She constantly kept checking in on me and her recommendations were on point. She recommended the poke nachos and they were so delicious. I wasn't in a drinking mood so she recommended one of their mocktails and the drink was amazing! I plan on returning again and bringing friends and family in the future. The whole vibe of the place is one to experience for sure!
Be the first to ReplyWired name? Yep! Did I like it? Nope, I loved it.
My wife and I went on Friday night and we chose to sit in a booth in the bar. After a minor delay in a server being assigned to us, Evelin, did a marvelous job. The ambiance is wonderful and I appreciate the music being at a level that allows conversation. While the menu is full of fruity drinks, they easily accommodate anything you like. In my case whiskey on the rocks and my wife a rum and Diet Coke. The spicy edamame was hot, yet addictive. The fried musubi balls were tasty and aesthetically pleasing. The owner, Kevin, checked on us and gave us a tour afterwards. This place heads to the top of restaurants I plan to return to in Chula Vista. Especially the speak easy. I forgot to take photos, but trust me it's nice.
Be the first to ReplyIt was a wonderful place to stop in for lunch.
The food was really good, the drinks were made well, service was very friendly. Kaitlyn (Caitlin - not sure of the spelling) was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.

So I'm only giving this place 4 stars because I didn't get to eat here, I just went in for drinks. To start off I think the idea of a tiki room is so cool and the way they designed this restaurant is very unique. I was here with two of my girlfriends and we only had drinks and an appetizer. The garlic edamame is so yummy, I love garlic overall and this by far is the best one I've had. Would love to go back and try their dinner menu for sure.
