Liberty Public Market San Diego Reviews from The Last Year
I was down in San Diego this past weekend with some friends
I was down in San Diego this past weekend with some friends and this was our first stop. Big things for me when checking out a new place is the first, the parking. They have ample parking and its free! How amazing is that. There are plenty of different areas for seats when you get there. The weather was perfect so we grabbed a seat outside. There is a bar inside so you can grab a drink as well so that was a very nice bonus. My husband and I got the Cali burger from Rad burger, chicken slider from Fluster Cluck Chicken and a few empanadas from Parana. The Cali burger was good but just a little too much cheese. The slider my husband seemed to enjoy and said it was a little spicy. The empanadas was a little disappointing. A couple of them seemed undercooked or could've been crispier. Overall, had a good experience and definitely worth a try if you are near Liberty Station.
Love love Liberty Public Market.
The food, shipping and overall vibes are on point. The parking is easy and the grounds are always pristine.
This is a must stop when in Liberty Station.
So many vendors so many options. Whatever food you want it basically available. Not only that various local vendor with different items ranging from apparel to candles are awaiting you. www will be making a conscious effort in stopping here when in San Diego.
I love this place, great for grabbing lunch.
You can get your lunch & take it to the grass fields nearby for a picnic or snag some of the provided seating in the outdoor area! The Hawaiian spot is a notable mention with the Huli huli chicken! The empanada spot is amazing, the ramen spot is good, the hot chicken spot is good! So many other honorable mentions but those are usually the go to!
"Go to the grocery store and buy better things.
Buy quality, buy organic, buy natural, go to the farmers market. Immediately, that's going to increase the quality of the food you make." ― Michael Symon Now, this has got to be the coolest farmers market I have been to. This place was once the San Diego Naval Training Center that has now revamped itself to be a marketspace for food, arts, crafts, and culture. Whatever you could possibly want to purchase, you can probably find it here. There are so many amazing stalls and if I didn't pop in after a filling lunch, it would have been amazing to buy some good eats here. It is definitely a well-loved spot for the community. Support your local artisans while soaking in some San Diego naval history!
Cool spot, chill vibes.
Lots of food and drink options for everyone. Definitely worth checking out!
Fun spot to visit while waiting for traffic to die down on
Fun spot to visit while waiting for traffic to die down on our drive back up to North County after a day of San Diego sightseeing. We tried: sushi spot, empanadas, crepes, and a candy shop for some fun sodas. Everything was tasty. On the higher priced side and plan on lots of trash bc everything is packaged to-go. Iconic San Diego spot worth a visit. Come hungry!
A good-sized indoor food market with some other vendors.
There is a good variety of food selections; going from Italian, Peruvian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Korean, American, Japanese, Thai, Southern, and Filipino food. I'd say there's really only one spot for each ethnic food and then there's a mix of dessert spots; mini donuts, ice cream, crepes, etc. Also lots of alcohol and drinks to be able to get The upside is that these are local businesses and buying from here supports them, but on the other hand it is also on the pricier end and you may end up paying for a plate with less quantity. It's more of a fast food court type of meal anyways. Good to go eat here if you don't need something too heavy, but if you're looking to satisfy empty stomachs for the same price, I'd say go somewhere else. It's a very trendy place. The walls inside and out are artistically and beautifully decorated. It smells good, is clean inside and out, and there is a lively sense to the area. P.S. If you eat at the outdoor area, the airplanes from the airport nearby takeoff directly above every 5-10 minutes, so your ears do get rattled by the loud noises.

An old US Navy training center, merely yards away from the San Diego International Airport, has been transformed into Liberty Station. Ownership came back to the city in 2000, and it has become a sprawling mecca for the arts, boutiques, and quality eateries. Our focus was on the Liberty Public Market, a sliver of a building in an otherwise massive complex. The Public Market opened in 2016 as San Diego's first all-week market. Today, it houses 39 different food and craft stalls and popped up on our radar to check out. There is a combination of indoor and outdoor seating to soak up the beautiful San Diego weather, and you can walk the entirety of its quaint style in a matter of minutes. And, as there is a lot to explore, check out all of the stalls carefully before ordering - it's a lively and colorful cacophony of sights and smells. After doing our own round, we settled on a few items we've been eager to try. For those smart enough to read up before your visit, check out their website, which has a comprehensive list of vendors and a guide. The market is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Parking was not a problem, but always leave yourself plenty of time in Southern California because you never know. As you can see, there is a variety of savory and sweet foods and drinks. Alcohol is in abundance, too. There are nooks and crannies, so look around a booth's corner or down a non-descript hallway, and you will find even more. We fell in love with the open market vibe indoors. Folks were popping in and out of stores with ease, and it was easy to come across different wares. Come prepared to shop; there are great gift items and a lot of selection. These are boutique prices, but the official website does underscore the quality of what they do. After our walk-around, we wanted to start off with a place that was most on our radar--Slurp. There are some interesting street food choices that we readily appreciate. They had roast duck options or pork belly, but our sights were set on the crab rangoon roll. This was right up my alley--it was a massive fried roll with gobs of warm cream cheese and crab--all to dip into a sweet and sour sauce. We also had their fried tofu, something to cut the overt richness of the first dish. We went on the hunt to wash this down and satisfy our thirst - coming across Chris' Ono Grinds Island Grill. We went for the refreshing pineapple mint iced tea, saving Kalua Pork for the next visit. We explored the novelty, watched what other folks were interested in, saw impromptu demonstrations of hand-rolled pasta, and then got hungry again. This time, we opted for Bao Bar. For a well-flavored and heaping Shrimp Bao Bun ~ interestingly, Bao Bar and Mama Made Thai are the same owner. Of course, sugar. We don't have a Moo Time near us, so we loaded up with two scoops of birthday cake. This ice cream is a staple in nearby Coronado, but an unfortunate update: we saw just yesterday that they are no longer at the Public Market. Things change quickly, folks--what can we say? Check before you go. Alcohol. I didn't partake but check out this impressive collection of craft beers. There is also a fully stocked bar that is quite popular. Explore. There is plenty to see and do. We stumbled across two mini-museums. One was for fabric art. The other was this awesome collection that blew me right back into the past. It was a collection of street music--rap and dance crews from the day. Yes, I had these cassettes growing up. Overall, Liberty Station has much to explore--we wish we had more time, but we are definitely coming back! Please check out allstreetsgourmand.com for more!
San Diego version of the grand central market in Los
San Diego version of the grand central market in Los Angeles. It is a lot smaller, but it has tons of places to eat and shop. There are tons of choices from tacos, bao, cookies, desserts, and etc. there is so many choices that there is something for everyone. There is even a bar so that's amazing There is a few sections where you can shop for clothing and jewelry All in all, it's a great local place to go. Unlike the one in LA, this is super low key and doesn't have that busy vibe at all

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

Give the best answerNewbie sellers— how fast do your reservations sell?
I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
