The specialty of the restaurant is sea food but their steak was magnificent too. The mussels among the best that I have ever had. Their foie gras with egg is something unique and highly recommend it for appetizer. Finally their special éclair is one of a kind and the to go dessert in my opinion . I subtracted one star for their tardy service

My wife and I came here one night because of a friends recommendation. It was awesome, apparently they get their meats from a famous parisien butcher. This night, though, we came for seafood. We were not disappointed. This is a fine establishment with friendly servers and wonderful inventive food.

Update: I went back for lunch and took them up on their offer to prepare a seasonal vegetable plate for me. It was so good! Asparagus, artichokes, and an herb called taoune in a sauce made of orange zest. OMG! Just vegetables and they tasted so fresh and that sauce was so good!

I have been at the restaurant three times in one week and had a great experience every time. The starters, entrees, and desserts changes monthly, daily for lunch. And I manage to get two different months. As others have mentioned, they specialize in small plates. So best to have a starter, entree, and desert. It will be worth the about 40 euros without drinks. But don't skip the wine. I have tried five of the house wines and they are all great. For wine I would recommend the Chardonnay for whites when having fish and the Bordeaux for reds. If you are not sure asked the waiters they can help you to select the best wine for the dishes you select. In the photos, is the fish of the day, which was prefect. For desert, the waiter recommend the strawberry tart and said he would eat it if I did not like it. But not need, it was fabulous. For my last dinner experience, I had the tuna tartare that was served with raspberries, which added and great sweet and tart sensation to the dish. For the main (small size), I had the shrimp and cauliflower, that had amazing flavors. The profiteroles are the size of hamburger bun that also can't be missed. I have seen others complain about getting a table. During the week for one, maybe two, you can walk in without a reservation and a chance of getting a table. More that that or the weekend, you should have a reservation. They where busy every night I visited. They stop serving dinner about an hour before close, so don't expect to arrive 45 minutes before close and get a table, unless you let them know you are there for drinks only. I will be back anytime I'm come to Paris.

The food here is quite good, but they are not very accommodating to customers. Reservations are difficult and coming 45 minutes before closing time with many open tables will still result in you being turned away because the kitchen is closed.

So I found this restaurant on yelp and headed over. The establishment was completely empty and they sat my friend and I in the back near the bathroom. I asked if we could sit in the front which was an entire room near the bar that was completely empty and he said "its reserved." They sat the other tourists that came in a little later in the back too--I never saw anyone else sitting in the huge space in the front of the restaurant. Basically the back is a dingy tight space and your in Europe so of course no AC. And the waiter was so snobby, it was one of those things you couldn't quite put a finger on but looking back I wish I didn't give this place my business. Beef Tartar- first time having this and my friend and I didn't like it. Horseradish was very strong on it though the meat appeared fresh.Duck dish--absolutely beautiful presentation but it was dry. Got an amazing picture but it just didn't taste all that good. Spare yourself the attitude and go to all the other amazing restaurants in Paris that want tourist business.

The decor is comfortable and inviting, but the food is the real star. Nice wine selection, as well.
Be the first to ReplyThe best typical "bistrot de quartier" in the neighborood.
Creative and qualitative French food with various choices of fresh meats, fishes and veggie meals to be made from the menu, following the seasons. If you want to take the menu, you'll get 4 small portions from any of the starters/main courses/deserts displayed on the menu. Good way to taste different courses depending on your preferences and to make the most of this place. All year round, best choices of meats from the well-known butcher Desnoyer. You are advised to pick up one of the good bottles of French wine from the skillfully concocted wine list !To be mentioned: a really friendly and helpful service !

After surfing the mediocre cuisine in our price range we found this bright spot thanks to Starbucks free wifi and other yelp reviews. A must if you are visiting the area and one of the best meals I have ever had for that price.
Be the first to ReplyVery good place.
It's quite busy with both locals and tourist. I had the "little fish" dish which was like a raw salmon dish. Very light in flavor and the cream complimented it well. The presentation with the beet, carrot, and radish, was great in presentation. I wasn't a fan of the cucumber soup. Just my preference. The goat cheese in the soup wasn't overpowering at all. Also shared the oxtail ravioli. The dish is flavorful and the sauce was bold. The artichoke was a nice touch. Service is truly excellent.
