Le Yaca French Restaurant Williamsburg Reviews from The Last Year
Came here for Mother's Day and this restaurant was packed
Came here for Mother's Day and this restaurant was packed so our entrees were delayed significantly but they compensated by giving us free champagne soothing our feathers as the baby cried and screamed maniacally two tables down from us. The table next to us had a regular who was bored and said no doubt the fish would be halibut and he knew to order the filet and lobster. Well I had to ask my server, Matt, which entree was best so I got the same as that regular. Such a shame to be so rich that you're bored by this menu. Hubby got the two filets. He also got tiramisu and it was more delicious than my soufflé. Awesome experience again.

Don’t miss this
I was looking for a great restaurant in Williamsburg to help celebrate my wife’s birthday. Our experience was wonderful….our best restaurant experience since moving to the area. The food was prepared well, interesting and wonderful to eat. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent Food, Mediocre Service
We were seated outside. It was a chilly evening so they were gracious enough to place two kerosene heaters on either end of our table of 8. Our waiter was extremely inattentive, abandoning us for 20 minutes at a time. It took him a long time to take beverage orders and then another 15 minutes to return to take our food order. Most of the food was exceptional with the exception of an overcooked filet mignon and a dry soufflé. Given the disappointing service, I would not recommend this restaurant.

we do not come to Williamsburg often, but when we do, we always eat here at least once. this time we were joined by friends from the area who eat here often. Food is fantastic. Service professional and friendly. already looking forward to a return trip.
Second time- still a winner.
This time it was ladies weekend with Sunday brunch (mom, sister, niece). Service was amazing. Honest and detailed oriented responses to my many questions. I was disappointed that that the onion soup and butternut squash both or made of pork stock. (I don't consume pork due to religious observance). In 2024, I'd think chef would be mindful of this type of thing. But there was a salad option. Environment refreshing and inviting. The chocolate is the best.... I mean might not even be better in France. My dinner experience was just as delightful!
This is a very restaurants.
It's a place you can dress up, or be casual. I would recommend it for special occasions too.

I want to say that the interior of this restaurant was so pleasing, light and airy vibes. We went during restaurant week, so we had tomato curry soup, beef Wellington, crème brûlée, and tiramisu. All of it was amazing. Our servers were so informative, even letting us sample the soup before putting our order in.

I made reservations online and when we arrived we were seated quickly. The seating was nice and really formal. The waitstaff were courteous and quickly took our orders and got our food out. As far as fine dining goes this placed really nailed it. Our meal was amazing. The entrance is located on the other side of the building from the parking lot. So it was a bit confusing finding a door we could actually go in.
A very delicious place to bring your very special person.
Be sure to check out the wine list and order dessert.

Wonderful as always
We were in Williamsburg for our anniversary, and we have in the past, celebrated here. The service, atmosphere, and of course the food, never disappoint. We enjoyed the three course dinner along with a Scotch from their very nice cocktail selection. We look forward to dining with them again in the near future. You can't miss by going here!
Treat your significant other here.
An excellent example of the French fine dining experience. No detail is missed and the atmosphere is perfect. Food is as good as it gets and the wine is solid. Can’t wait to get back.
Fabulous food and great service .
This is a wonderful restaurant to go to for special occasions or just a nice meal out.
First time dining here and I am looking forward to coming
First time dining here and I am looking forward to coming back. Came with a party of 3 for their 4 course weekend brunch/lunch. Easily made a reservation online which was nice. Table was ready when we arrived at our reservation. Waiter was friendly and on top of everything. One downfall was that he took forever to get our check! Food wise the chocolate croissants were amazing and the French bread was also good. The soup of the day was butternut squash and was also delicious. For an entree I had the chicken with a mushroom sauce with potatoes and vegetables. It was good but wish the sauce had more flavor. I couldn't eat all of my meal and got it boxed up. I had tons of veggies left and when I opened my leftover box they had not been packed up. Sort of odd. I had the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and a white sauce and it was also very good!
Amazing experience.
The service, food, and drinks were impeccable. Great for a nice dinner or special occasion.
Oh la la!! Perfect for lunch!
The lunch menu is absolutely wonderful. We got the 3 course lunch and wound up taking some home. The crab crepe is divine! The staff are wonderful and Axl is a great server! We did call ahead to make sure we could get in for lunch and it wasn’t a problem on a Friday lunch hour. Do try the sorbet! The lemon is so tart and delicious!
Yum
Great restaurant. Love it here and o ly went to williamsburg this time to eat here. Love their pre fixe lunch. The onion soup and desserts are amazing. The meal is delicious. And it’s a great deal. Arrive is wonderful.
Slightly Disappointed
My husband and I had dinner here last night. While the food was excellent. The service was lacking. Our server didn't ask us if we'd like another drink, he was slow to take our order and surprisingly, we were missing napkins and bread plates at our table. Also, we were seated in a noisy room, and it was hard for us to carry on a conversation. We are locals and dine here every couple of months and never have any complaints, but last night really surprised me.
A Culinary Symphony with a Side of Limitations
Le Yaca provided a delightful dining experience overall. The prompt seating and festive atmosphere, adorned with Christmas trees and a welcoming fire, set a pleasant tone. The salads were crisp and fresh, showcasing quality ingredients. The crab cake's minimal breading allowed the delicious crab flavor to shine, and the perfectly cooked steak was a highlight. However, the lobster, while good, lacked seasoning and accompanying drawn butter. The dessert choices, apple tart and Tiramisu, capped off the meal well. The attentive and friendly wait staff added to the positive experience. One drawback was the limited side choices, an aspect that could enhance the overall dining options.
Wonderful Experience
Le Yaca is a very nice restaurant with fantastic food and beverage. I had Escargots and Foie de Veau (Sautéed calf’s liver). Both dishes were excellent, as was the atmosphere and service.
A restaurant to remember…..
My husband and I have flown across the country multiple times just to see Virginia. It is a beautiful state and we especially like Williamsburg. We happened to see this restaurant and decided to eat at the bar. The restaurant was completely booked with reservations. We soon understood why that was …… the place is exquisite (colonial style) with top notch staff. The food was decadent! We had the brunch weekend selection. 4 courses which included champagne, soup or salad, entree and dessert. Since then we have always come back to eat here — as Tina Turner sang: “..simply the best!”
Wonderful Thanksgiving Meal!
Perfect Thanksgiving dinner! We decided to play hooky this year from cooking and cleaning. We spent the weekend at a nice B&B, and the highlight was our meal at La Yaca. The service was excellent, the wine perfect, and the food was outstanding!
Excellent food, excellent value!
When in Williamsburg, skip the chain restaurants for a truly gourmet meal at a very fair price. Prix fixe offers excellent choices and beautifully cooked and presented food. Coquille St Jacques and fresh fish are excellent choices. A white table restaurant in a lovely room, unexpected in Williamsburg and worth every penny.
