Le Coin Seattle Reviews from The Last Year
Service was great.
Had the chicken and waffle. Waffle was great. They leave the chicken on a shelf above the fryers and refry it on the pick up. I think leaving the chicken up there is what dried it out and made the batter chewy. Although chewy, the batter was seasoned well. Three of us had the chicken and one had an omlette (which was perfect).

Terrible service, for these prices I would expect it to be impeccable. Staff was rude, unnecessarily loud, caused a scene that was disturbing nearby tables, or somehow nowhere to be found. Food was late and cold, staff didn't respond to our complaints, just walked away. Save your money, not worth it.
One thing for sure, I wouldn't wanna be at a restaurant
One thing for sure, I wouldn't wanna be at a restaurant where the hostess is power tripping especially when a child is snacking on some puffs. Maybe this isn't the job for you. If that's how you talk to your mother, honey you can get the boot.
Rude servers, food was just ok.
The ambiance was nice but the servers really set the tone. They think really highly of themselves.
The fact that a host was hostile and unwelcoming to a child
The fact that a host was hostile and unwelcoming to a child with SEVERE food allergies let's me know everything I need to know about this business. No thanks!!!
Bland food.
Was expecting so much more and the service was lacking. For the price, can definitely do better. Good presentation, but taste was meh

Food is here really nasty (and so is the service!!!!!) Be warned this place is not welcoming to POC. I urge you to support the many alternative restaurants in the area, with much better food.

I've been here twice now, once for date night and once for brunch with some friends. Place is small and adorable with a decent bar and bartender. Servers were polite and professional. Food was better for dinner than brunch but overall very enjoyable along with a few drinks. I'm reading some of the one/two star reviews here and I must say I'm a bit confused as to why anyone would choose to bring toddlers to an oyster BAR and then complain about how the restaurant didn't cater to their loud screaming children while other patrons are trying to enjoy their meal. Le Coin is a higher end boutique restaurant and I would highly recommend giving them a try for drinks and a meal with friends or date night. Maybe make a reservation for a little efficacy.

I love this spot! Been here many times so this review is long overdue! Wednesdays are half-price wine bottle night. The HH has many options and the oysters are AMAZING! Matt in the bar is so friendly, helpful and called me by name throughout my dinner! Can't wait to go back!
Went here for a special brunch.
The hostess and maybe the manager were so rude. Definitely made us feel unwelcome. I'm just unwilling to tolerate being treated this way. EVERYONE should be made to feel welcome.

Another great meal at Le Coin like always! I've honestly never had a bad meal here. We had lunch on a Friday and it was lovely. Service was great even though our server was very new she said. They changed the burger bun which I don't like as much but I hear they are working on going back to the original one! Yay!
Been here several times now.
It's one of my hubby's favorite spots. It's definitely pricey though, so we've saved it for more special occasion type dinners. We most recently came on a Wednesday, which we learned is 50% all bottles of wine! We were too late for HH, but the menu looked good, so our next visit we will time it with HH for 50% off oysters AND 50% off wine! The sommelier was great to chat with and helped us select a bottle of bubbly. All of their bubbly is traditional method, btw. (Natural bubbles as opposed to carbonated). So that was great to learn. Excellent onion butter and pickled onions with the bread service. Fresh and tasty oysters. Friendly service, good food and wine, and a nice vibe.

Service was good.
It was loud and our table was really wobbly. But otherwise ambience is fine. The food was the disappointment. Maybe my expectations for a French brunch were too high! Croque Madame. The bread was chewy and no top layer. Had a cheese sauce which was really rich. The ham was good. Ube colada. Decent. More coconut than Ube. Breakfast sandwich. The pork belly was soft. The bread was stale and chewy. Potatoes were overfried. Fritters. Had no flavor. The Apple Butter was the only thing that gave them flavor. Otherwise they just tasted like fried dough. Maybe it was a bad morning but I would not go back.
This evening the amazing team made way for a first time
This evening the amazing team made way for a first time experience for us. It is a bit chilly and although we were a larger party than anticipated, they still found us a table inside. We enjoyed several appetizers to include bread service with Foie Gras Torchon, French Onion Soup, Confit Fennel & Brussel Sprouts with Pomegranate! The Foie Gras was like butter. The Principles chosen today included Cavatelli Pasta in Lamb Neck Ragu, Pork Chop with braised cabbage & Duck Confit with Kymquat Glaz and celeriac. Sixty percent of the party has never dined here but all agree this is an established to be added to the top five list. The service was warm, comfortable but not too familiar. Service can make or break an experience, and in this case we felt as if we were friends picking up a conversation where we left off. Our server knew exactly how to read the table and matched our energy without over stepping. Her service, the knowledge that she has and the mouth orgasms made for a meal to not be forgotten.
Everything was perfection.
We came on a Sunday, sat at the bar, ordered the steak, scallops, oysters. Our bartender Blake was an amazing host. The vibe is cozy and upscale. 10 out of 10 - would do again.
Oysters and cocktails were just amazing! Loved the happy
Oysters and cocktails were just amazing! Loved the happy hour here. Hosts and servers were very accommodating as well.
I'm torn about only giving them 3 stars as I really like
I'm torn about only giving them 3 stars as I really like this place in theory. It's nice inside and service is really good, friendly and competent. The menu is great with a ton of things that sound good. Plus they have weekday brunch (thu/fri) in addition to weekends. All good things. But the execution isn't always the best. Things tend to be really over salted. Also, I often detect a fishy taste in non-fish dishes. Like the fried chicken on the chicken sandwich, or worse, on the chicken & waffles. I guess they're frying in the same oil. I won't give up on them just yet though.
Service: The service at Le Coin was a bit lacking.
While I understand that Saturdays can be busy, the staff didn't exactly go out of their way to make us feel welcome. It's the only reason I'm deducting a star from my rating. Ambiance: Le Coin boasts a beautiful ambiance. The decor is both cozy and chic, creating a delightful atmosphere. Food: The food was the highlight of our visit. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was delicious. I'll definitely be returning for more culinary delights. Please pick: Apple Fritters!!!! In summary, Le Coin is a gem with great food and a lovely ambiance. Just be prepared for service that could use a little more warmth.
One of our best meals in Seattle!
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant with upscale cuisine. Charming PNW decor with somewhat challenging street parking (as it is in a residential neighborhood along Fremont). We opted out of the Chef's Counter Service (prix fixe) along the open kitchen because there were so many menu items that we wanted to try. Firstly, the entire staff were so nice and helpful. Katrina helped guide our food choices while Katie recommended an amazing yet different wine that perfectly suited our palate. Bread service w added fois gras was excellent! Nice choice of breads (yummy honey butter & tumeric onions) paired nicely with rich velvety fois gras. Steak tartare was well-seasoned and plated as an appetizer. Seared octopus was very tender and a generous portion. The sweetbreads was the standout appetizer--even loved by my reluctant wife! Following these hearty appetizers, we decided to share the foraged mushroom dish (on their vegetarian menu) which was the best mushroom dish we have ever had. The cabbage and buttery mashed potatoes were a delicious bed for the tasty mushrooms! The lemon tart, port flight and sauterne were a delightfully sweet ending to our meal. This was one of our best meals in Seattle! A highly recommend--make your reservation now! We will definitely return.
Great family restaurant!
Best tomahawk in town! Delicious food, great service and excellent drinks!! This restaurant provides a great experience from the appetizers to the desserts!
Great food and great atmosphere
Had a great brunch at Le Coin. The food is incredible. Both owners greeted us and asked us how the food and service was. Service was great. Busy place but you can see why. Highly recommend.
Pleasant Neighborhood Eatery
We had a pleasant dinner at Le Coin. We arrived a half-hour before our reservation and were seated right away at a two-top by the window. We started with drinks - champagne for me and a vesper for my mate. Next starters - albacore crudo and the leafy green salad, both nice presented. Our main courses were the halibut and the New York steak. The halibut was a little dry but otherwise tasty. The steak was done exactly to order. The service was attentive without hovering. Le Coin is casual and the interior has a retro bistro look. The indoor sound level is "lively", but we were able to converse without shouting. Le Coin also has an outdoor seating area. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will be back.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
