Terrible service and quality.
Uninspired, over rated and plagiarized. plenty of better options in philly. don't waist your money.
Be the first to ReplySo good! Came here for a birthday celebration.
This place is so hard to get a reservation so I finally organized in advance with my resy alert and scored a reservation. The restaurant is located on the top floor of a hotel so was bit of a maze to navigate. The place is open kitchen and I loved that you can see the live action of everything going on. I got a seat at the open kitchen counter which was awesome Dishes are prix fixe, known for the charcoal grilled meats which you can see at the open kitchen. Each prix fixe comes with a course of sides that are unlimited refills, the entree (charcoal grills meats and vegetables of choice), and a dessert - brown sugar soft serve. The prix fixe goes for $50. Loved the ambience and the taste was amazing, you can really taste the grill flavor in the meats Check out my Instagram: alice.likes.food

I was bookmarking must-go places for dinner in Brooklyn and Laser Wolf was not only one of them, it was the restaurant atop the Hoxton Hotel, which is where I was staying. I was stoked when my sister was able to score a reservation on a Wednesday evening at 7:15 pm since it seemed to be very hard to secure reservations between 6-9 pm. As guests of the hotel, all we had to do was to take the elevator down from our room to another elevator leading up to the top floor, so we thought 7:00 would be a good time to arrive. There is a hostess seated in front of the elevator and she WILL stop you if you're too early, like we (sort of) were. So be warned, you'll have to get through her first. We grabbed a drink at the lobby bar (you can take your drinks upstairs to the restaurant but you have to settle your tab at the bar). Once we were called for our reservation, we went upstairs and was seated by another host. Then we waited... after a few mins, a guy came by and plopped down some waters and handed us menus. I assume he was our server since he didn't bother to introduce himself or welcome us, etc. Anyway, we ordered two proteins (salmon and the lamb/beef koobideh) and an order of the fries. The salatim arrived - a variety of dips, pickles, vegetables - served w/ fresh pita bread and I def give a star to the runner that explained all of the various dishes to us. The fries came soon after and this along with the salatim was the best part of the meal. Thick, fat fries perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and potato-y on the inside. The proteins were another story... salmon was kind of undercooked (for my liking) and was extremely SALTY. The koobideh was okay but that too was very SALTY. A small bowl of rice came with it and it was good but I would've preferred plain rice to offset the saltiness from the meat and fish. Also, the portion of the proteins were ridiculously small. I get that the prices incorporate the bottomless salatim but who is going there to fill up on pita bread and hummus? Service left a LOT to be desired. I get that people in Williamsburg are hip and cool but calm down; you're not THAT cool and quite frankly, your food isn't that cool either. Come here for the fries and the views. Or not.

Shout out to our server Travis who made my partner's birthday feel extra special today. He brought us complimentary wings and recommended we try the Dorade - everything was phenomenal. The dessert at the end was the perfect way to close out a 5 star meal.
Be the first to ReplyDoes Laser Wolf need my review? No.
Should I do it? Yes! Bc it was an amazing dining experience and lovely staff all around (shout out to Tabitha in particular. Thank you for making a special time even more lovely). The food was wonderful and different. The best of combinations. The brisket kebab was terrific but I kept "stealing" bites of the hubby's dorade. Where has this fish been my whole life? And the perfection of the crispy skin?! Thank you to the chef who prepared it. This restaurant shoots to the "must always visit" list

One of my fav meals of 2024 so far!! We were seated at the counter, which i wouldn't recommend. I'd try to get a table reservation, and even better if it's during summer when the terrace is open. We had the pre-fixe which came with salatim, a choice of meat and a dessert. For meats, we had the chicken shishlik & steak shishlik. Omg the meats are grilled to perfection. I'm not usually a huge fan of ordering chicken at restaurants but this was soo tender and juicy. The steak too!! The salatim was great- the hummus was my favorite. I wish the baba ganoush was salted a bit more, then it would've really hit the spot. Salatim is unlimited which is nice because you get to try a bit of everything! We also had the fries a la carte. The fries were fried perfectly too! Super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We finished off with their brown sugar soft serve, best way to end a meal. The meal was kind of pricey for the portions though. We were stuffed but I wish the meat portion was a bit bigger. I'd still come back though!! Highly recommend.

Loved the Israeli food here! I enjoyed the prix fixed lamb beef koobideh even though it is only one skewer. If you want a bigger portion, and you like seafood, try the dorade fish. I enjoyed the salatim which is unlimited and comes with freshly hot pita bread. Some standouts were the fennel + orange, the Turkish brussel sprouts, and the hummus. Great views of Manhattan too!

Our dinner was wonderful! My only criticism is that it was really cold in their dining room. It is enclosed with plastic film for the winter. We should have asked for one of the heat blowers to be moved in our direction. We were frozen by the end of our meal. Please note that the main course portions are small for the price.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is excellent.
Really great side dishes that make the meal very memorable. Drinks are also great. Unfortunately, there is a large section of the restaurant that smells like sewage and they use incense to try and cover up the smell. I think the incense mixed with the sewage is even worse than the faint sewage smell if you can imagine that. The waitress admitted the sewage problem and moved the incense away from us. I saw another post awhile back mentioning the same issue which tells me this is an ongoing problem. It's really hard to enjoy your meal with the faint smell of sewage in the air.

We got a resy on a Saturday evening for three and we were all looking forward to eating at Laser Wolf. I was especially jazzed to be eating at a hipster Williamsburg place I see on TikTok as a tourist from Missouri! So there's really only 6-8 entrees to choose from and they come with the Salatim (Israeli Salads & Spreads), pita, and dessert. I'll start with the Salatim. For me the best bites were the hummus, pillowy soft pita, pickles & olives, Lutenitsa, and the beets w/sour cherry. I have had the jarred Lutenitsa (spread made of peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, etc) numerous times but this really put that to shame. Very bright and fresh. I don't even love beets but they were just right... earthy and the little pop of acid! I heard the French Fries w/ Tehina Ketchup were a must so we ordered those as well. The French Fries are perfectly cooked. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but the standout was the tehina ketchup. I asked for an extra cup. If they bottled it I'd eat it every day. For our entrees we chose the Brisket Kebab, the Lamb + Beef Koobideh, and the Salmon Shishlik. I was not wowed with the brisket but the other two were absolutely delicious. The brisket was dry. The koobideh was juicy and spiced just right with fresh mint leaves. Both the koobideh and the kebab plates were dressed with perfectly cooked pearl onions and you had me at the onions. Loved them! The salmon was the big surprise here. It was brushed with a semi sweet tamarind sauce and cooked perfectly. If I had it to do over again I'd order the salmon and I'm a meat eater. The dessert is Brown Sugar Soft Serve with Burnt Date Molasses + Peanut Butter Bamba dust. They could have made the dessert a throw away but they didn't. It's excellent. So this is essentially a prix fixe and for roughly $55 a person in New York City it's a pretty good value. Are the entrees small as others have mentioned? Yes they are on the smaller side but you already know you're here for the Salatim experience. The service is friendly and pretty minimal. This is a happening place and I'm not cool enough to be here but it was a great experience and I'd gladly return. Side note: Gorgeous view of Manhattan from the Hoxton Hotel.

We came to this rooftop restaurant after my birthday dinner, and the views and interior decor at night are truly stunning. We were seated at the bar and were served without much of a wait. My girlfriend enjoyed the Get Shishlik'd because it had Guava in it. The Crime of Passion with Plantation and Spiced Rum wasn't as strong as it may seem, probably due to the passion sweet which gave it a semi-sweetness. Next time I will come and try their dinner options, which are unique and admittedly pricey.
Be the first to ReplyPretty amazing restaurant.
..beautiful hotel walk up with another sister restaurant to walk in to (Kfar), and then check in at elevator to go up to Laser Wolf. Great atmostphere, location, view, service (with Brian). Girl folding towels a bit of a puss, with no smile and didn't seem to be happy....but I digress. Brian was just the right amount of smiles, service, interuption. The food of course was crazy unbelievable. 9-10 Israeli "sides" with the best pita bread EVER. We chose the steak (OMG spices are on par), and Brisket Kabob (delish typical kabob in my opinion)....the cocktails were very tasty and the Israeli Rose was delish. I think the soft serve was a perfect end to my birthday celebration (as much as others thought not), I loved the simplicity and instant gratification instead of perusing the menu for desserts. I can assure you this will be a great experience, and a place to remember forever. We enjoyed it tremendously, and it will not disappoint. Kudos Laser Wolf!!

My first time going to laser wolf in the fall it was a 10/10 for sure. My second time going recently was a little less enjoyable. While the food tasted the same, which was perfection, the staff was extremely rude. They acted like we were bothering them just giving the hostess our name and didn't even look up when we came over they were just on their phone. I don't think I've ever met someone so rude? The they told us we had to be out by 8pm (our reservation was at 6:30) so that gave 5 people 1hr and a half to finish our food. I felt like we were rushed the whole time. Our waiter was fine, nothing special. The ambiance was great and beautiful views. Definitely recommend still!!

Tip: When making reservations, if you're wanting a view of the city don't book at the counter/bar. I was seated at the counter and was surrounded by tree plants (every time I went to use the restroom it looked like I was stumbling out of plants into someone else's dinner table ). Also in colder seasons, there's a plastic thingy that covers off the views - you can still see the skyline but it's not the nicest view tbh. Let's get this out of the way- you're paying a premium for for the views here. If you didn't have the views, then yes the food is overpriced here. We had prix fixe which includes Salatim (unlimited refills- however upon attempting to each everything I found it impossible to even get to a point where we needed refills for my party of 2), soft serve, and your choice of protein. I got Lamb & beef koobideh- which is only one skewer by the way. For my party of two this was more than enough for us- definitely don't have to get a side on top of this.Loved the pita- eat it when it's hot and fresh. It was super fluffy and I think I ate way too many pitas and stuffed myself before even getting my protein. Out of the salatim, my favourites were babaganoush & pickles. Lamb + beef koobideh was tender and well seasoned to enhance the lamb+beef flavours. I normally am picky with lamb because it can taste gamey and that was not the case here at all. Finally for dessert- I'm a sucker for sesame in my dessert, and this was no exception. I was pretty stuffed at this point but had to make room for it in my tummy after trying a bite!Overall, I think Laser Wolf is a nice spot- you've got views and delicious food. If you're strictly focused on food and don't care about the views, then this probably isn't for you. If you want good food and are willing to pay a little extra for a nice view I think this is a nice spot to go.

First, service was great! The waiter made recommendations, explained everything, and gave recommendations on after dinner drink spots. Second, the views were spectacular! I just wished it wasn't so cold because the clear covering they use has a bit of a glare which definitely takes away from it. Last the food.....flavorful, tasty, sufficient portions!! Best food we had while in NY! Drinks were good too, I had the sour patch kidz and crime of passion (super sweet).

I've bookmarked this spot for awhile and I'm so glad I finally went. I tried to make a reservation about two weeks or so in advance but unfortunately the only availability was 10:30pm. It was totally worth the less than ideal reservation time though! The menu is very simple where everyone is required to get the prix fixe option (their entire salatim + one grill item per person + dessert). I chose the chicken shishlik and my boyfriend decided on the lamb & beef koobideh. The salatim is absolutely incredible. It's basically a huge plate of 11 sides and I loved every single one of them. I honestly wouldn't even be able to tell you which ones were the standouts because they were all so good. The pita they give us was warm and fluffy. Both the chicken shishlik and the lamb & beef koobideh were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We also decided to add on a foie gras. Ever since my latest trip to Paris, I've been obsessed with seared foie gras and this place did not disappoint.Service was prompt and the staff were all extremely friendly. We were totally stuffed by the end but the brown sugar soft serve that they gave us for dessert was so good that I managed to finish the entire thing. 10/10 recommend that you go here!

Took my partner here for his bday and we were treated so extremely well by staff. It was such a pleasure from the views and ambience and of course the main event, the food! We had the lamb and the chicken, just amazing. Can't wait to bring some other friends and family back for more wonderful drinks and food!

Food was okay and honestly easy to find similar quality at better price points. Service was very inattentive and may I say lazy... the waiter forgot what we ordered and food arrived terrible late after I asked to cancel it due to delay. The tables are very small for two people and the ambiance is lackluster. Save your coins unless you're a group of five that care less about food and more about company. Overhyped. $$$

If you're looking for a unique dining experience that will take your taste buds on a journey, then look no further than Laser Wolf rooftop restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn. This Israeli shipudiya, or skewer house, is a feast for the senses. The journey begins with their signature hummus and pita, which is simply divine. But it's the array of colorful vegetable salatim that really sets the stage for the meal to come. Each bite is bursting with flavor and freshness, making you feel like you've been transported to a Middle Eastern market. And then comes the main event: the meat and vegetable skewers cooked on the charcoal grill. Each skewer is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, with juicy meats and perfectly charred vegetables that are simply delicious. But what really sets Laser Wolf apart is the variety of skewers they offer, from lamb to chicken to beef to vegetarian options, there's something for everyone. But Laser Wolf is more than just great food, it's also a unique and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The rooftop setting provides stunning views of the Brooklyn skyline, and the laid-back vibe is perfect for a relaxed evening out with friends or a romantic date night.

the view is amazing and the food is to die for. Everything so amazing and very much worth the price. Best dining experience!

Laser Wolf was one of the best meals I've had out in a while!! The menu is primarily prefix with the option of adding some a la carte items. The way the prefix menu works is that you get a set of /Salatim (all vegan), one item from the grill, and one dessert. The salatim platter was delicious - from the hummus to the babaganoush to the cabbage with fennel and zhug, there wasn't a single miss. I was already so full on pita and salatim, so opted not to get more of anything (though this was offered and included in the prefix). I ordered the chicken shishlik for my grill item and it was cooked and flavored perfectly. The ice cream topped with sesame was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. The restaurant was fairly crowded even late on a weekday but service was very kind and fast! There are beautiful views of the city as well. Can't wait to go back!

This place is worth the hassle of getting the reservation! You start off with the Salatim, everything on this was delicious. The hummus was creamy and divine, the beans with harissa were my personal favorite. For mains, we picked the lamb kofta and steak shishlik. Both were tender and juicy and cooked perfectly, the lamb was my favorite of the two. You MUST get the fries. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, and the Tehina ketchup was outstanding. I couldn't stop eating them!I loved the array of flavors here, our server was also very kind and helpful. If I can get another reservation, I'll definitely come back!

I had been eyeing Laser Wolf for a while, and finally got the chance to experience it. Knowing I would be in Brooklyn for work, I secured a reservation at the restaurant, which is located on the rooftop of the Hoxton hotel. As someone who had never tried Israeli cuisine before, I was eagerly anticipating this meal.Although I ran a bit late due to my underestimation of the complexity of the New York City subway system, the restaurant was accommodating and I arrived only a couple of minutes past my reservation time. Upon arriving, I was struck by the stunning panoramic view of the East River and Manhattan from the rooftop location. After settling in and studying the menu, I opted for the steak shishlik from the grill menu, which is a pre-fixe meal that includes all the salatim and dessert. Salatim, or side dishes/salads, are a common accompaniment in Israeli cuisine, and I was excited to try them. I also ordered the Date-Harissa Wings with Tehina Ranch, as I have a weakness for wings.Shortly after ordering, the platter arrived with 11 delicious items, including babaganoush, hummus, mushroom, and lutenitsa. The soft and fluffy pita bread was perfect for enjoying the side dishes. The wings soon followed and they were cooked to perfection, with a perfectly sweet and tangy coating that paired perfectly with the tehina ranch. I had a great time trying all the different salatim and even experimented with mixing and matching them to create even more complex flavors. The fragrant rice and steak shishlik arrived shortly after, and I was overjoyed with the flavors and aromas of this meal. The dining experience ended with a brown sugar soft serve with sesame, cherry, and crunchies. Needless to say, I was absolutely thrilled by the wonderful meal and left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied!

This place lives up to the hype and then some! We got the lamb and then instead of another meat dish did the sides for an extra person for $28 which was great. I'm not a huge meat eater so didn't need another meat dish but the lamb was excellent, it tasted really lamb-y in a great way. It was also a very nice sized portion. Our server Josh was excellent, super nice and fun, also gave great recommendations on the food and on the wine we got which was loved. The view was also incredible, we came in the winter so there is a plastic type thing making it stay warm but still able to see the view and that was just perfect. Dessert I was worried would just be an after thought but it had amazing unique flavors and was excellent. Everything thing here was just 10/10
