Extraordinary&Balanced
There's a lot to say, but to summarize in one sentence ' Sauce is the guardian of the dish!' Everything was great great selections of wines, dishes are all balanced and tastes were so clean. The only problem is after that visit our standards went up, it's hard to find everyday.

The restaurant is amazing and one of a kind. The team was very happy and enjoyed the experience. The food was spectacular. The ambience on the water was great.
Be the first to ReplySO LOUD.
The food is good, not excellent. The most serious thing about this place is the acoustics, the level of noise in this restaurant is unbearable.

Elegant and very special place to enjoy a very good dinner and a spectacular view. The service was very good and the dinner was quite a spectacle.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful view. Excellent service, as is the food too.
Very good food. We ordered the fish of the day between courses, which was delicious. The view is wonderful, a spectacle. Very good service too.

Love the vibe and the location. Food was delicious and service was superb. We tried their brunch. They were serving dishes to the table, and gave us menu and details explanations of the food and how to eat it. You can visit place with kids.

This restaurant was amazing! Such amazing Peruvian food. And the views were exceptional. The staff was also very friendly.
Be the first to ReplyBad customer experience & ripped off by prices
Our waiter Pedro is the reason why we will never come back and never recommend our colleagues or friends to go to La Mar. First, when we ordered our entrees (which average 40ish$), he suggested « the dish of the day, a whole grilled fish, really good.. » 2 people in our party switch then their entree for the fish… What a shock seeing end of night on the check that each fish is charged 95$ per person!!!! The waiter aims to maximize the bill amount?? The fish was huge for ladies, they each left half of the plate uneaten. Waste of food, waste of money, wrong push from the waiter Then when the waiter Pedro brought the check, it included a standard 20% service already included, but he said «You are charged for service but I get only a small percentage of the service, the hotel keeps most of the service charge so I recommend that you shall add the tip here on your bill ». Seriously?????? Either the waiter is trying to rip us off again with extra tip, or the Mandarin Oriental is making more money by ripping off their waiters and not paying them the full tip customers pay for. Either way, it leaves all a very bad taste for customers and we will never go back. Many other places in Miami have a real customer focus

Horrible restaurant. Dinner reservation was at 10pm. WE GOT SEATED AT 10.45. Top of that hostess told us "KITCHEN GOT FIRED" so we can only order cold appetizers. We prefered a table by water, hostess said "We'll setup that table if you can wait 15 minutes more at the bar" We did wait at the bar, hostess STILL didn't give us that table. I called the manager. Manager offered us drinks and dessert from house then WE GOT CHARGED FOR DRINKS AND DESSERT THAT MANAGER OFFERED The whole restaurant is a joke

Drink, ceviche, chicken on skewers, fish were all tasty! Great service and the view while dining is lovely! If you like Peruvian food, they even have Chinese Peruvian fusion Chifa here!
Be the first to ReplyA really great place in Miami ... if not one of the best
We spent a wonderful evening here for a little celebration and enjoyed tremendously the food and excellent, professional and highly skilled service. Nothing else to add ...
Be the first to ReplyNice view, pleasant experience, not exceptional.
Very nice view from Brickell key, looking back toward downtown Miami. My service was very pleasant. Very small wine by the glass list, surprisingly not much South American wine on the wine list, given it is “Peruvian”. Large cebiche menu, if you enjoy that. Empanadas appetizer was decent, but not much filling. I would rather have see have seen more entree and appetizer choices. The focus is clearly on cebiche. Tenderloin stir fry entree was quite good, steak cooked perfectly. Only two desserts available which I skipped. Overall pleasant.
Be the first to ReplyGood view, mediocre food.
Old saying that if "restaurant spins food stinks" proved again. Octopus was rubber and unchewable, ceviche was covered with excesive amount of sweet and sour sauce covering taste of good fish. Prices are very high and does not seem to be a good value against other excellent choices in Miami. View from the terrace is good though.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service, amazing views
We loved the food and the great views on the terrace. We loved the peruvian dishes and drinks. We had the fish of the day and the flavors and presentation was off the hook. Really good. Our waitress was very nice and offered to take pictures of us, which I appreciated a lot. She was authentic and we greatly appreciated her suggestions. Only reason I didn’t give 5/5 is because I specifically asked for a table at the water side of the terrace (they have the best views) and they put us on the other side of the terrace, even though I had made the reservation more than a week in advance. Also it is not cheap, 3 course dinner for two with a glass of wine was 350$. Tip: you can walk around Brickell key after the meal, super nice evening walk.

I had lunch here. And it was an amazing experience. There was so much food to choose from. And the food was delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would define at here again.
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous setting and excellent food.
This is a great special event restaurant. You must reserve an outdoor table. The atmosphere and setting is beautiful with views of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay. Dinner was excellent. Cebiche chalaco was full of seafood and flavor. We also enjoyed the anticucho de pollo and the Lomo Saltado. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. Every part of the meal, service and atmosphere was very special. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing view, great food
The view of this place is truly beautiful, its true that the dishes are quite small and pricey but everything I tried (5/6 dishes) was incredible. The overall experience for us was worth it although service was a bit slow, it was compensated with the gorgeous view and tasty food
Be the first to ReplyHorrible service- Never again
Good food but super-disappointing service. The first dish took 35 minutes to arrive and the entire dinner (appetizer, entree and dessert) took over 3 hours. Cocktails were good but the issue was an inattentive waiter. Also, it was a pricy meal relative to the value we have received. NEVER again. Go to LEKU (Basque restaurant) instead.

Extraordinary food, service and ambiance. Bouillabaisse and paella styled entrees with Peruvian flavors were delightful. Appetizers were awesome, sorry we couldn't try more of them.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, service and atmosphere
Had a wonderful meal here - seated outside on the patio overlooking the water. Service was also great and will definitely go back next time in Miami.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing! Worth a trip!
We made reservations for 2 couple, which is highly recommended as this establishment is popular for good reasons: the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Did I mention the food? Chef Gastón Acurio knows his chemistry and his ingredients. The menu is concise as is the wine list, and it was hard to decide so we went for seafood snd plan to return to try the other dishes. The flavors are nothing less than sublime, so we recommend savoring each bite to prolong the pleasure. We enjoyed the Jalea de Mariscos, a delightful medley of flavors and textures, combining delicately fried seafood in tempura batter with aioli, corn nuts, choclo and a criolla sauce. We had the Sudado a la Norteña, a seafood stew featuring fresh local grouper, yuca, potatoes, choclo in a simmering broth that was simply addictive with hints of cilantro. The pan seared branzino was heavenly in a miso butter sauce served with roasted sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts and kale. The chaufa aeropuerto was rich bowl of aromatic fried rice, shrimp omelette, quinoa, egg noodles, succulent pork and smokey Chinese sausage. For dessert we tried both the light and creamy yuzu curd with fruit mousse and a red chicha sorbet, and an irresistible chocolate and lucuma mousse cake.
The service was prompt and attentive and bilingual m, flowing seamlessly between English and Spanish. The atmosphere is lively, family friendly, with solo birthday songs and laughter heard above the din.
The lighting is low, so we used our phone lanterns to read the menu.
And the seating is comfortable with a mid century feel, although the table may seem set a fraction too high.
Amazing. We will be back for more!
stunning view and great professional service! Latin food was delicious and inovative!
La Mar by Gaston Acurio gave us a wonderful evening sitting on terrace looking at the skyline of Miami! the cocktails were excellent and the food was terrific!! we will go back

We went there and was surprised by the views. It’s amazing. The food was very good and so the service.
Be the first to ReplyLa Mar Restaurant Missed Order Notes - Ran Out of Food!
There were a series of unfortunate incidents that occurred during the celebration of our Lunar New Year at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Miami over the weekend. Having grown up celebrating many milestones in my life, as well as my family's, at the Mandarin Oriental hotels in Asia, we were all too familiar with the top-notch service and experiences offered by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel chain and its restaurants. Last weekend however, the La Mar restaurant missed the mark tremendously.
La Mar Running Out of Food
Having made the reservation at the La Mar restaurant several days ago, I indicated under our order notes that we would be celebrating Lunar New Year 2022 at the restaurant, and likewise, will be there for the Chinese menu. The waiter did not advise us when we sat down, that the restaurant had run out of food — the duck ragu and the dimsum basket. We placed our order thinking everything was fine, but it was only after we placed our orders and were waiting, did the waiter let us know that the kitchen ran out of the above-mentioned items. It suffices it to say, we were very disappointed.
Food at the La Mar
My significant other is European, and is thus all too familiar with smaller portion sizes when consuming food, whereas I grew up dining at some of the finest restaurants. When the Tiradito Duck dish arrived, we were utterly surprised to see the portion size of the dish. Normally, smaller portion sizes form but a segment of a 10-course meal for example, but seeing that this was featured on the menu as a "plat principal," I had expected a larger portion. Imagine my surprise when the dish arrived; I was speechless in front of my fiancé, very embarrassed that the dish that I had selected for him for his first Lunar New Year dinner was measly. It was at this point when I had tried to order more food, were we told that there was no more, but were only advised because we summoned the waiter.
This was the very first time in my life that I had to write about the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in a less than stellar light. It seems as though the standards set by the Mandarin Oriental Hotels that I have been all too familiar with, are but now a memory.
The best Peruvian food in Miami
The best Peruvian food in town, and their waterfront view is also pretty stellar. It was an awesome dining experience. All the food dishes we ordered were great. Tasty cocktails, wines and excellent presentation of food dishes. Beautiful location with water views and impeccable service. We enjoyed our food and cozy atmosphere.
