Best octopus I've ever had.
All of the food is very delicious, particularly the appetizers. The lobster pasta was slightly too acidic for me but overall the quality of food was some of the best I've tasted in Atlanta. The ambiance is also very nice.
Be the first to Replygreat experience.
The service was top notch. Our server was very good, very knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was cooked perfectly. Delicious seafood dishes would definitely return
Be the first to ReplyService was great, interior is nice, a bit dated.
But the food was super over rated. Lacking in flavor and over priced. My bf just got back from visiting Greece and wanted to get some quality Greek food, we should've just went to a take out spot for a gyro. The dips we were served were laughable, the hummus was thin instead of thick and creamy. Everything else tasted and looked like it was just blended up in a food processor, but not long enough. The eggplant tasted raw, no smokey rich flavor. My bf got the lamb shank which tasted overcooked and dry. I got the whole fish- royal dorade and it was pretty basic. Just steamed fish with lemon and oil on top. I expected way more flavor and even better presentation for the price. It came with lemon potatoes which is one of my favorites. But this one was undercooked and not enough lemon flavor, I actually added lemon to it. The kale side seemed out of place and better suited for a BBQ joint. We also got a scoop of olive oil ice cream and orange cake which was good. The bill came out to nearly $300 with tip after a beer and a glass of wine. I felt bamboozled b/c nothing I ate was memorable. I've eaten better Greek food from most take out spots. Seems like the name & reputation of this place surpasses the actual food. Would not return.

This 4 star review is due to the manager Bobby , saving our Galantine Celebration. Fairy called me to confirm our reservation and was so enthusiastic, and welcoming. After speaking with her I really was looking forward to enjoying the celebration. The decoration on our table was spectacular! Upon making our selections, we added the $40 Black truffle, which we NEVER received, and the sea bass, scallops , grilled octopus , After having to rely on OTHER servers and asking for our sever to get our needs addressed most out the evening, I finally asked for the manager. Manager Bobby was embarrassed and made an apology for the poor service we were receiving. He did try to make up for the poor service by providing us an extra dessert and appetizer. James our server became a little more attentive, he NEVER apologized for the poor service before it was brought to his attention. A good server would've said I'm sorry that I didn't bring your shaved truffles, I'm sorry that I didn't bring your potatoes, etc. etc. Next time I will ask for a different server. And yes, I will probably want to return here because I love this restaurant food and normally excellent service! It is just unfortunate that this particular server was not trained, or had no intention of providing the excellent service that I was used to in coming here after 20+ years!
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance is fair.
Food is good. Service as it should be and more. Cocktails also good. Chef is personally attentive to those with dietary restrictions. Overpriced as all get out. There are better restaurants doing the same or better for a lot less. Except for that chef.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was excellent.
The fish was oh so fresh. I had the halibut, but my wife had the pork ribs, and they were fall off of the bone. The spreads were amazing, too. One of the highlights was the sweet breads. If you know, you know.
Be the first to ReplyIt was a nice atmosphere.
Came here for a date. We had the grilled octopus, the dahlmas, the lamchops, the prawns and the lemon potatoes. We came for the Martimi Thursdays advertised on Open Table... the server had no idea what we were talking about. He had no idea the had a martini menu and he basically came back and said instead of a martini menu they could make us whatever we wanted which took away from the martini experience bc we never had martinis before so we ended up just getting traditional dirty martinis... The server kept trying to clear our plates while we still had food on them. I wasn't done with my lamb chops and I didn't even get to eat the potatoes that came with them before he just grabbed my plate and walked away. He also took away our octopus appetizer while there was still octopus on the plate. It made me feel rushed. He tried to take away the prawns while there were still prawns on the plate The portions are already small. At least let us eat all the food on the plate first. I most likely won't be back but if you have a man who will foot the bill for a hot date... I'd go at least once.
Be the first to ReplyI really can't say a bad thing about this restaurant.
The food is great and when anything "iffy" happens they know just how to handle it. Super nice people with yummy food. Some favorites include the grilled Octopus, the lamb and the halibut. Can't see any reason not to go here now.

We met some friends here that raved about the restaurant so I anticipated it was good. It actually was amazing. We ordered everything our friend suggested and shared everything. We started with Lobster bites and Grilled Octopus. The delicious Greek honey and mustard sauce and the delicate way the breaded Lobster was prepared was perfect. I love Grilled Octopus and this was the best Grilled Octopus I have ever eaten. The oak-wood grilled crispy outside and tender inside marinated with red onions, greek olives and capers was spectacular. We then had a Greek salad and a Beet salad also perfect. For mains we shared the Grilled marinated Lamb Chops cooked over an Oak wood fire and the Pan roasted Dover Sole. The Lamb chops were deliciously seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Dover sole tasted amazing and melted in our mouths. To finish the meal we had Baklava and Greek donuts! Can't wait to return to Atlanta and Kyma is the first place on my list to visit!

Excellent food, nice atmosphere and a terrific staff. Thank you Daniel. Great way to celebrate my daughter's graduation.
Be the first to ReplyFood wasn't good, fish was soggy and not hot.
I definitely wouldn't go again. I don't recommend, just go to the Atlanta fish market down the street.

I hadn't been to Kyma in about 12 years, so I was thrilled when my friend chose it for her birthday dinner. While the food and drink were good, the overall experience was somewhat lacking.I arrived early and decided to wait at the bar. There were maybe 4 other people at the bar. I sat there for a full 15 minutes and the bartender never asked me if I would like a drink. Then when he finally decided to pay me attention, my party arrived so I decided to just wait until I sat down. The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit, and not at all good for group pics. There was a DJ spinning music. I can't recall what type of music it was. Maybe some sort of low-tempo euro house? Thankfully it wasn't too loud so that we couldn't hear each other. One of my friends had a visibly dirty wine glass in front of him. Then his water glass had a very large crack in it.Our server was friendly but not at all efficient in taking care of a party of 8. He took our drink orders one at a time. Meaning he took one order then left. Came back and took another order and then left. I get that we were a chatty bunch and he probably didn't want to interrupt us, but he should have had a more commanding presence to take our drink orders all at once. I finally had to flag him down and ask him to take the drink order for the guest of honor. Our food was good. Loved the octopus. I enjoyed my fish. Others enjoyed their food as well.I really appreciated the loukoumades they brought out for my friend's birthday.Overall it was a good, not great, experience. It's gone down hill over the years. I don't think I will rush back.

I called Kyma asking about the status of my application after applying online, tell me why the host is going to hang up in my face in the middle of me talking. Called back and no answer, unprofessional.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyed a relaxed dinner for two at Kyma.
This Greek restaurant is a Buckhead staple for good reason. Everything is delicious. We enjoyed the octopus(best dish!), lobster croquettes, oysters, and hummus. We had a lovely server as well. The restaurant is somewhat quiet, not the spot for big birthday events. Bar is fun too. Reservations are a must! Valet parking only.

Since I can't go to Greece, Kyma it is! As a lover of food and travel, I'm always in the search for cuisine that will let my taste buds travel to another country. I heard that this place is known for the fresh fish so I had to definitely check it out. We did make reservations since it seems to book up pretty quick on the weekends. When we arrived there was complimentary valet parking provided. The outside of the restaurant was pretty gleeful with lights on the trees and well lit entrance. We were greeted by the lovely hostess and seated promptly. I didn't try any of the cocktails since I stuck to white wine. As for food we ordered a variety of plates. I recommend to do the tasting menu. I especially enjoyed the zucchini chips, pork ribs, and navy bean soup! Dress Code: Dress Up. Not a casual spot, meant more for date night or nice dinner. It's $40 -$75 a person. I would definitely check this place out if your a fan of fresh fish!
Be the first to ReplyThe Greek food is authentic.
The grilled octopus is a MUST! It's not chewy or hard. The galaktoboureko is so delicious.

Came here for a work function and the food and drinks were amazing. We ordered appetizers, fish and lamb chops along with drinks and cocktails. There were no complaints. The venue itself is very elegant and there is valet parking for $3. Definitely a nice date spot.
Be the first to ReplyKyma is an upscale Greek restaurant with specialty seafood.
Our group stopped by on a weeknight and we were thoroughly satisfied with your food and drinks. They had 7$ martinis on Tuesday night and we tried 3 different one, with Aphrodite and cucumber ones being the best! We ordered the five course meal with spreads, three appetizers and one entree to be shared among two people. For appetizers we tried the scallops, (best among all)tuna tartare, salmon with caviar, spinakopita, beet salad(comes with a beet sorbet that is truly unique and fantastic if you like beets). We tried the beef and lamb shanks for entrees, both were pretty good but portions are on the smallish side. It's a great place to visit on a special occasion and the service and ambience will not disappoint.

This restaurant used to be one of our favorites over the years - as expensive as it is, it should be a top-notch, special experience- the last few times have been inconsistent, and I don't think we'll be back again after last weekend ย - we waited such a long time for our first two courses and then our server abandoned us - I had to grab someone else to get our check so we could make it home to relieve the babysitter, no time for dessert - this restaurant needs to do better.

We have been going to Kyma for more than 10 years, and it used to be one of our favorite restaurant. Sadly, our last meal there left a lot to be desired. They have expanded the outdoor seating and we were seated practically in the parking lot with the sounds of passing traffic and a view of a giant billboard. Service was incredibly slow and appetizers arrived out of sequence. The recipe for the stuffed grape leaves (one of our previous favorites) seems to have changed and the current version is bland with an off putting texture. The whole Lavraki (also always a standout dish in the past) was bland and not particularly light and flaky. A truly disappointing experience-we won't be going back.
