Absolutely awful. Sent our food back 3 (three) times and it kept coming back cold and wrong. We interacted with the "manager" and might as well have talked to the wall. Awful awful awful
Went with my girlfriend for their $39 steak special.
The special included a 12oz sirloin (they did not have the steak, also they had a select few appetizers to choose from and they didn't have the full selection). No compensation at all, bait and switch is how I see it. Why offer special and not be prepared to serve the customer. Ridiculous, for this I won't return.

We came in at 4:45pm on a Saturday.
Took about 5 minutes of standing at the host stand to be addressed. Finally seated at a table, and waited 10 minutes without any contact from a server. No waters, no nothing. We ended up getting up and leaving, and there were multiple servers and employees standing around chit chatting inside. Super frustrating, will never be back.

Fantastic dinner with co-workers
Booked this restaurant for a work dinner and needed to accommodate 20 people. The staff was very helpful when making the reservation, made sure our tables would be together. We were promptly sat when we arrived and had a great table outside along the water. They had multiple staff waiting on us and everyone was great! The food was delicious! The group had a variety of dishes from seafood to pasta to different proteins. Nobody in the group was disappointed with their meal or drinks! I would most definitely eat here again when in the area. Thanks Kona for a great experience!

The food was ok. Sole of our items were cold by the time we received them and some things were not as described. Our server was nice but she was everywhere and seemed to leave in the middle of asking a question. Over all it was ahhh , maybe I would return when they are less busy .

I couldn't believe the quality we got for how expensive this place was. I was holding out hope the entire time it would be good. I'm sorry guys but you gotta tighten up the screws. Jim kuhn, come to your restaurant as a "guest" and you'll see what crap you're putting out.

Myself, my wife and another couple went to the Kona Grill for food and drinks after the Sting/Billy Joel concert. The place was less than half full when we walked in. I ordered the sweet potato fries for 9 U.S. Dollars. They came in a small bowl and there were exactly 14 fries in it. With the Canadian exchange rate and tax it amounted to approx. 90 cents per fry. The lady in the other couple ordered regular fries. She got about the same amount as I did and they were only like warm. My wife has Celiac disease. She made that clear to the server. She ordered the hamburger platter. Her burgers came wrapped in lettuce. However, her fries were not gluten free. The server said that the kitchen made a mistake. My wife would have become seriously ill had she eaten even one of those fries. She spoke with a manager who apologized and offered to substitute broccoli for the fries. The broccoli arrived approx. 15 min. after my wife had finished her meal. The manager discounted our bill $10 for the mistake. The other male in our group ordered a steak. It came with only a few fries and nothing else. He was not impressed. I must say that the server and the manager were nice to deal with. That does not make up for the horrible dining experience that we had though. On a 1 out of 10 rating I would rate this experience a 1. Absolutely terrib!e.

We made a reservation weeks ago to ensure we could have a decent meal before a concert. When we arrived, it was a chaotic scene. It took 20 minutes in line to get checked in, and although we had a confirmed reservation for 5pm, the host said it would be 45 minutes wait for our table. Patrons were everywhere waiting, some with 4 and 4:30 reservations. The host verified my mobile number and let me know they would text me as soon as a table (indoor or outdoor) became available. My fellow guests had already gone to the outdoor patio side of the bar and had been waiting at least 20 minutes trying to order drinks while we waited for our table. We finally were able to get one round of drinks, having waited more than 30 minutes. We were able to get two seats at the bar and waited another 20+ minutes with empty glasses trying to order a second round. We finally decided to leave (thank goodness we had paid our tab on the fist round already) and went a short distance up the street where we received immediate drink service and were able to order a quick appetizer ahead of our concert. Never received a text about our table being ready even though the restaurant was open during and after the show. The management team was totally unprepared even with notice of the concert featuring two legends well in advance. The experience was a disaster, which is a shame given that the demographic for this event, including our group, would have yielded them hefty tabs and good recommendations.

Came here for the holidays and our wait time was over an hour and a half past our reservation time. If that's the case why even have a reservation? We told them we were with a special needs child that had a really hard time waiting. They told us something about the outside area not being used because it could possibly rain. Okay welcome to Florida that's the case every day of the week. Once we finally sat we had a server that was kind but just not good. Our food came out and we had no utensils for 15 minutes even after I asked two other servers for silverware. I do feel like at the end of the experience the manager really tried to save our experience - she compd our dessert and was honest about a glitch in their reservation system that evening. I would go back but not during the holiday season.

..the service. The hostess tried to seat us outside despite it being cold and raining....after walking us right past a table that would seat our party indoors. We get our table and our waiter was terrible. Forgot drinks that we ordered...forgot sides that we ordered...was a smart-ass when we asked where our dinner was an hour after we ordered. Second...the food. A few of our party really enjoyed their meals...I wasn't one of them. I ordered a $44 ribeye, medium. It was raw and cool in the middle despite coming out 10 minutes after everyone else had gotten their food (minus the missing sides). I wasn't going to send it back after waiting almost 90 minutes, so I ate it underdone. The steak itself was tough and not worth 1/2 the price. The Yukon fingerlings were good. Disappointed is an understatement.

The WORST Customer Service on EARTH!!! My wife and I had been clients for over 3 years and always enjoy the food and the good vibe, however, our last 2 reservations have been nothing but a POOR customer service. On December 31 2023 I made reservations and when we arrived, We were told that it was water apill in the kitchen and for that reason they are NOT accepting more clients. The same excuse they used on St Valentines dinner. I believe, managers don't know how to handle employees attendance and they are always short in servers and cooks. Two special occassions canceled by the manager using the same exact excuse!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I've been here a few occasions when working in the area and dining with coworkers because the menu is varied enough to offer us all options for vegan, vegetarian, and other dietary restrictions to the hearty carnivores and omnivores among us. And the payment system always enables multi party payments and receipts which make expense reports easier. The happy hour is well priced and popular (especially when the weather is nice for the outside bar patio). They do get super busy on holidays (Mother's Day, valentines) so make reservations. That being said, it does sometimes take a moment to get service, refills etc, but the food has always been tasty and the servers all nice.
Disappointed with the food
We came here for dinner at the recommendation of a Tampa local. Three of us ordered steaks Nd the other person ordered sushi rolls. The steaks were not prepared as ordered and were tough.

Service was very good and a very nice ambiance. We got the dinner for 2. Calamari was decent with a good sauce. Kona steak was missing flavor. The potatoes were very good. Cheesecake not impressive. Prices ok.

Dang my first time here & I am still leaving 5 stars because my bartender brett was everything during Friday happy hour! No frozen margaritas because the machine was broken & no paper napkins because the company did not deliver yet but guess what...if alot if businesses had good ass knowledgeable bartenders like brett those little things would never matter! Thank you!

Kona Superb!
Wonderful food, amazing ambiance and superb service! The salmon was outstanding. Our server was one of the best and most polite ever. A must dine location in Tampa.
Very expensive
It's very expensive. Miso soup for $ 13 dolar was to much. Salmon $ 35. I used to go there a lot, but now I can go other places for better price and better food.
Menu descriptions not accurate, nor are the prices, beware
This was my second time here, we remembered eating here a few years ago (before the pandemic), probably around 2018. We enjoyed our meal then so we returned in December 2023 for lunch. This place has seriously degraded since our first trip. Menu prices were shockingly high. $27.00 for their "steakburger." The menu described it as a two patty burger with some fancy toppings, so I decided to order it. I figured for the price they were asking, it must be good. When it food was delivered, it was only a single, small patty, and maybe 20-25 fries. The burger looked like something I would have gotten at Denny's for $10.00. I brought it to the waitress' attention that it was missing a patty. I was told corporate made the change to a single patty and the menu had not been updated yet. Totally unacceptable business practice, especially for what they were charging. I sent it back. When I got the check, the charge for the beer I ordered was a dollar more than the price listed on the menu. Service wasn't great either. Most serves check with you 5-10 minutes after the food is delivered to make sure everything is alright. This one didn't, I had to wave at her to get attention from across the room. Bottom line, expect sky high prices for mediocre food with subpar service. There are a lot of better choices in this area, I recommend somewhere else.
Nut allergy worst nightmare
Food was good but do Not go if you or someone you know has any kind of nut allergy. Almost every food had nuts or was cross contaminated with nuts.
Best dinner of the year!
An excellent meal complimented by exceptional service from Carla!! The food was bursting with great flavors, served hot and generously sized portions. Truly a delightful dining experience!!
Had high hopes but was disappointed
I get that food costs along with other operating costs are higher than before the pandemic, but customers should should still expect value, and management supervised recovery when things don’t go as planned.

If you're looking for a good hawaiian dining experience, don't bother going to call in a grill. The atmosphere is horrible. It is so loud you can't sit inside. And when you do sit outside, you can't talk to the person next to you at the outside table. Because the music is so loud.
Won't Hurry Back
Slow service as kitchen was the problem. Shrimp fried rice was EH, shrimp were tiny, few and far between while the taste was sweet! Not a fan! Fried chicken sandwich was way too crispy and the sauce was not what one would expect on a chicken sandwich. Prices were high for what you got!

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
