Kati Portland Reviews from The Last Year

This is the place I take anyone that visits me to whether they are vegetarian or not. The food is amazing, the staff are generally friendly and there is a chill vibe there. Ambiance isn't anything great but it's chill enough to come with friends, significant other or family and have conversations. Downside is the space is smaller so after 6pm on some nights it can be a wait for a table, but highly recommend the wait it won't disappoint. They have outdoor seating however depending on time of day the sun is glaring in your eyes and if it's a cold day there is no outdoor heating.

Wow, just wow! This place is AMAZING! My mom adores Thai food, but she's quite picky. However, this spot really won her over with its wide range of vegan and vegetarian options. The service was fantastic too! You can either order online while you're there or they can take your order in person. There's plenty of seating, although you'll need to street park. But hey, it's Portland - street parking is the norm! The rustic Thai-inspired interior adds to the charm. And the food? Simply delicious and wonderfully spicy! This place is definitely a must-visit, and I can't wait to go back!
Service is alright here.
You can also buy their Thai pastes to cook at home. The chives pancakes are nice and crispy. The basil tofu was good but a little lacking in flavor. The fries were good but I prefer a different sauce. The pad Thai was good but I chose to add tempeh and it was like dry and stale tasting so I ate around it. The last dish is a tempeh stir fry thingy that came out crusty unlike the pad Thai. The best was the mango sticky rice: they use pandas sticky rice and it just made the dish way better. Overall it is okay. Not sure why they're so hyped up online from what l had read and chose to come bc of it.!
The coconut pandan cocktail was delicious.
Be be sure to save some for your meal as the smoothness offsets any food spiciness. Loved the crispy rice with lettuce leaf appetizer, will order as an entree next time. Pad See Ew is my Thai restaurant goto, but was luke-warm on it here. For one, the sauce (and salt) was too overpowering. For dessert, the mango was underripe, but the pandan rice and sauce were delicious. A pleasant surprise was the "house" blend hot tea, so good. The place is small so it was somewhat cluttered; the area behind the well-stocked bar was messy. Female bartender was very nice. Prices and portions were fair. Parking in this area just sucks.
Love this Thai vegan restaurant Garlic pepper and Pad
Love this Thai vegan restaurant Garlic pepper and Pad woonsen. Perfect test is very delicious and very good serviced. Recommend!!
Great menu and fast service.
I'm the only vegetarian in our group that dined there (I loved having so many options!), but the non-vegetarians were super happy as well. It was clean and had a good ambiance. Cute patio as well.
Great ambiance and great food.
Super flavorful and lots of options. My only thing with this restaurant and I have eaten here multiple times is that I am not sure if its a post pandemic thing but the order on your smartphone no real table service is a bummer. I guess it is good because it speeds things up but it would be great when you sit in the restaurant to get a real menu and a server that can answer any questions or recommend anything. I am a firm believer that tips should be based on service but to order "online" and have tipping options start at 20% and go to 30% before you even get to taste the food or get actual service is a bit absurd. Also for all you haters I have worked as a waiter in a restaurant for context. Long story short great food and restaurant but for sit down service a bit of a let down and post pandemic expectations and system in place.
Great food.
Crappy service. Just get it to go. The server (female w glasses) was not friendly at all. Bad part is they make you pay and tip online before you get the food. No wonder she didn't care about how she served people. I would have tipped less based on her terrible service and attitude.

The drunken noodles and curry puffs were seasoned to perfection, though slightly on the salty side. The Thai iced tea had a perfect balance with its subtle sweetness and just the right amount of coconut cream. The curry puffs were flaky and light. Great pickled cucumbers on the side. Excellent service and loved how cute the restaurant is!
Food was good.
I do not like how impersonal the ordering system is. Scan and pay with your phone. What if I don't have a phone and what if I want to pay with CASH? They have no cash pay option. It's LAW that you must take cash. I love how they still expect a 20% tip. Maybe if you said hello and took my order. I won't be back. I would if they had a regular menu and took cash!
the food was amazing and my server was incredibly kind.
the tempeh was well seasoned and overall tasty. i honestly overate because everything was so good i wanted more ! it was pretty noisy because it's a small space but i enjoyed my time here :)
Went here tonight for my first time.
The vibe is awesome... felt like a place in nyc. The food was incredible.. fresh, healthy and vibrant colors. Loved the eggplant dish the most. The lettuce wraps had a crispFood came fast, and staff all very friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to go back again!

Ask a Question |
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
