Kateh London Reviews from The Last Year
Best Persian food ever!!
I recently dined at Kateh and it was simply amazing! The food, wine, and service were all outstanding. The Afghan Chicken was the best Persian dish I've ever had. Highly recommended!
Wow, a Michelin starred place where you could get away with
Wow, a Michelin starred place where you could get away with an appetizer, entree and drink for under $100! First, make a reservation! This spot is on OpenTable and it is pretty small. I was not planning on visiting this spot, mostly because it was in Little Venice and outside most of my places in London, but somehow I lucked out and got a table downstairs. Second, the food here is delicious. It's truly some of the best Persian food I've ever had. I would recommend ordering family style, just so you get the full experience. Third, the service is so wonderful and attentive. My server checked on me often and had really wonderful recommendations.
Just average
This is a tough one as my expectations based on reviews from friends were high. I love Persian food and thought that it was just average. The starters aside from the lamb sausage were fairly tasteless which was particularly disappointing because the Narguessi sounded amazing. The Kabab Torsh was good. The service was excellent and atmosphere was cozy.
Traditional Persian food at its best. Deserves its Michelin Bib.
Well worth its place in the Michelin Guide with a Bib. A small restaurant near Little Venice London which easily fills up so you should book as we saw the owner sending people away. The food was so tasty with lots of spices and tastes. Exactly what we wanted , traditional Persian food. Five star . We will be Back.
A very good place to eat Persian
Small restaurant, well located (Warwick Avenue metro and close to little Venice) and recommended by the Michelin guide, which has a room in the basement where we were delighted by the dishes we ate. The wines are a little expensive (almost multiplied by 4) however it is rare that we have them in the UK, beer being favored, so it is perhaps normal. Very nice home.
Excellent food and good service
We went with friends and really enjoyed the food and friendly service in this cozy authentic restaurant Kebabs are excellent
A wonderful Persian restaurant near Warwick Avenue tube
We have been coming to this restaurant for years. It gets better and better. The staff are a pleasure, lovely and friendly and have been there years. The service is slick and professional. The food is absolutely first class with specials. It is beautifully presented and fresh as it has newly been picked. A great place to go as couples, friends or a party.
Excellent food on a day trip to London
Excellent food and friendly restaurant. Food was cooked with heart and taste was mind blowing. Meats were tender and juicy, rice was superb and deserts too. Worth going.
Great Persian food in Maida Vale
I've lived not that far away from this restaurant since it opened, but until I booked a table two days ago, I had never even heard of it. More's the pity! Our first visit was exemplary. Nice room, good service, but most importantly, delicious food. For starters we shared flatbread and a pomegranate and cucumber salad - small but wonderfully refreshing, and a good appetiser for our main dishes: both lamb-based, one a lovely stew with potatoes and okra, the other marvellously succulent grilled meat marinaded in pomegranate juice and crushed walnuts; both with perfectly cooked saffron rice. We were too full for dessert, but accompanied the food with a very nice white Côtes du Rhône. (The impressively extensive and diverse wine list tends towards the pricey, but there are certainly a few good bottles under £40.) We shall certainly be going back.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
