Jupiter New York Reviews from The Last Year
The food, atmosphere, and service was absolutely incredible.
Ordered quite a bit with a friend to explore the menu, and every bite was better than the last. I can't recommend Jupiter enough! A great spot for any and all occasions.
Really nice low lit ambiance.
Love the open kitchen style. Our waiter was very friendly and patient with my table's trouble in trying to choose our entrees. We started with the focaccia. They must have put parm onto the top before baking because the crust tasted like a extra toasty cheez it! Our entrees were good. Nothing to rage about tbh. We wished our bucatini was more creamy. The dish felt like it was missing something. Otherwise, this restaurant is def a nice place to go for the vibes.
So so good.
I can't remember the pasta amidst we got but it was incredible. We were just talking about it as we were eating at a Michelin star restaurant and thinking that the pasta at Jupiter was better.
We went to Jupiter when visiting NYC for an anniversary
We went to Jupiter when visiting NYC for an anniversary trip and chose Jupiter for it's location and food options. Ivy and our server (I forget her name, sorry!) made the evening memorable for us with their exceptional hospitality and service. We ordered cocktails to start and both were great. We also wanted a bottle of wine for our meal so we asked for the sommelier's help and she was amazing! She talked us through a few options based on what we said we liked and spent a significant amount of time helping us to make sure we got what we were looking for. We ordered several different courses, and all were timed well and were very good. We particularly enjoyed the beef carpaccio and ravioli, while the star of the meal was the osso bucco. It was delicious! After dinner, Ivy sent over an exceptional Amaro for us to enjoy and I still haven't stopped thinking about it. Would definitely reccomend if you're looking for a cool spot with great food. And don't skimp on a bottle of wine, they have a dynamic selection and an incredibly helpful somm to help navigate the list!

Coming from the Rockettes show my granddaughter and I were looking for a nice restaurant to sit and have a nice meal so decided to try Jupiter. Was told it will be a 30-min wait and it was fine. The maitre 'd wanted to seat us at the middle of 3 vacant tables but I requested if we could take the one on the side and at first he said they were reserved then relented so we got seated on the side we preferred and surprisingly til we finished, none of those tables were ever occupied. We ordered ziti for my granddaughter and tortelini for me. I asked if there is bread for the table I was told they do not serve bread at the table but we could order from the menu. Which Italian restaurant does not serve bread! But it was okay. Then my granddaughter asked if she can have a little extra parmesan. Ten minutes passed, no parmesan until I asked for our check. I told the staff we do not need the parmesan anymore as we are set to pay and leave. The only spectacular innthis restaurant is the prices of the food which are so way over for what they look and taste. I enjoy fine dining and eating good food but this one I find not worth going back to. Food is as bland and unappetizing , the service is agonizing slow even if a lot of tables are empty.
The service here is outstanding.
The food is also really good too. It's definitely on the pricier side which makes sense because of where it's located. The tagliatelle and the bucatini are both excellent. Same with the osso buco and the chicken.

had dinner at their King street sister restaurant before and liked it. so went with two friends from overseas. we had two starters and two pastas to share and then ordered a main dish of grilled fish for two, thought would be just perfect to finish up - but the fish is apparently a small dorado barely enough for one person - they charge 60 dollars for that supposedly two people's dish - not very nice - and when raised the question - they didn't seem care - don't think want to go there again -

The food was excellent I had the Red Snapper with Artichokes. The fish was fresh and delicious. I generally don't eat the whole filet but this dish was very lite and tasty. The waitress and hostess were both attentive and pleasant. I must especially commend the manager Ivy Rogers for her thoughtfulness and help. She reached out and contacted me regarding my review. The restaurant is at rink level but the only way to see the skaters was through the door way. The windows no longer over look the rink. On the whole the ambiance was nice and the bar area was friendly

My partner and I ate lunch at Jupiter last Thursday and my official review is as follows. The location is perfection, right next to the Rockefeller Center iceskating rink. At our table, we could LITERALLY see it from where we were sitting! Right when we entered, Francis - a very kind, handsome gentleman - greeted us and asked us if he could take our coat and bags. He escorted us to our table and about two seconds after we sat down, we were offered stilled or sparkling water. A lot of times at restaurants, I have felt either rushed to place an order or I have felt ignored by the staff. At Jupiter, neither applied! We were given the luxury of talking, laughing, and enjoying ourselves while not feeling rushed or ignored. When I go to a restaurant, I always check out their cocktail menu - I am a big cocktail guy! At previous restaurants, I have asked if they have anything else besides what is on their cocktail menu because, at times, I don't like what I see. Many times, I have been told they only offer what is on the menu, even if they have an open bar! However, at Jupiter, when I asked the server Annie (who was so fun and clearly enjoyed her job!) if there were other cocktail options, she enthusiastically replied, "What can I get for you!" I told her I would like a cocktail that is "sexy" and "fruity". She laughed and said "Coming right up!" When she brought over the drink, it was truly the most magical thing I've ever tasted. I had no idea what to expect, as I basically asked to be surprised - but I have never tasted anything like it. Clearly, the bar tending staff at Jupiter knows what they're doing! My partner and I shared the "Pappardelle Ragu" and it was the perfect mix of al Dante pasta and beef topping. I wish I could have ordered everything off the menu! When other dishes came out to other tables, I said to my partner, "Can we order everything!?" The best part of the experience was meeting the manager, Marissa. She came over to our table and asked us how we were enjoying ourselves. I am a very friendly and outgoing person and I told her the extravagant story of how we wound up at the restaurant and also in NYC. She laughed and shared a personal anecdote and we talked for about 5 to 10 minutes. She was so sweet and excited to share about how the restaurant is evolving. She clearly loves her job and enjoys spending time with her guests. Being a restaurant manager is NOT easy, but she clearly knows how to "run the show!" They have only been open for less than a year and I mentioned the fact that the ice-skating rink was literally right in front of us. I said something like, "I bet it's going to be super busy in the winter when people are ice-skating!" She laughed and said, "I certainly hope so!" It is rare to experience a manager coming to a table at a restaurant, greeting you, having fun with you, and making that personal connection! Overall, the food and drinks were phenomenal but most importantly, the service was out of this world. I highly recommend Jupiter to anybody in New York City, specifically people who are visiting "Top of the Rock", anywhere in Rockefeller Center, or anywhere else in the city! I can't wait to go back in December when the ice rink is open!
Hard to imagine that there is a finer Midtown Manhattan
Hard to imagine that there is a finer Midtown Manhattan lunch destination right now. For once in the seven or so times I've been to Jupiter since its opening last winter, I was a solo diner--but this did not diminish a superlative meal. The staff, both managers and present and past servers, were especially attentive, and the kitchen was firing on more than five cylinders. A guilty pleasure to have a Negroni at lunch to go with my Mozzarella di Bufala, which was accompanied this month with peppers, spinach, anchovy and marjoram. Followed this with the Beef Sott'olio--ripe end of season heirloom tomatoes were a treat, with watercress and fresh horseradish lending peppery notes. Jupiter is rightly praised for its fresh pastas, but you also can't go wrong ordering only from the Piccolo Morsi, Antipasti sections. And then--why not some Dolci? Had I not been solo, I would have also ordered the Zucchini Fritti to start. Next time, if it is still in season. This is a festive restaurant--I find the buzz of the crowd stimulating.
The food is incredible here.
Located in a really fun and convenient area- Rockefeller Plaza. Great wait staff. Go for the tart for dessert. We had numerous pastas- all insanely good.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
