5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Ju L. on 06/28/2024

Last month, my husband surprised me with dinner at Jean-Georges to celebrate my birthday. He requested the table by the window with the sunset view. We get to eat yummy food and have THE best view in the city? This was definitely one of my best birthdays ever. Being here, on the 60th floor of the Comcast Building, it doesn't quite feel like I was in Philly anymore. It wasn't until our server brought over a scrumptious selection of bread, including the two cutest lil pretzels (as a homage to our city), that I was reminded of where we were. Every single dish we ate from the six-course tasting menu was innovative, delicious, well thought out, and beautifully executed. The only dish that we did not like as much was the roasted black sea bass, but only because everything else was so good. I also cannot give enough praise to the chefs on how cohesive and not random the tasting menu was. Many restaurants in the city make the mistake of not having a cohesive tasting menu. Jean-Georges is easily the best restaurant in Philly. The only restaurant that even comes close to Jean-Georges' culinary level is probably La Croix. Service was top notch, too. The staff are well-trained, professional, and hold themselves to the highest standard. Alas, we concluded our six-course meal with the final course, which was a delicious chocolate, passion fruit dessert. But dinner was not quite over! Our server brought over a small birthday cake on the house. And then shortly after, another staff member swings by with a cart of post-dinner sweets to complete the Jean-Georges experience. There was not one single second of this I did not enjoy. We can't wait to be back again.

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Evan K. on 06/03/2024

The food was not worth the money, the music played was meant for a disco bar and not a fine-dining establishment, and every time something was delivered to the table the item and its description was read aloud to the party. For close to $500 with tip, I would expect better. Also, why are credit/debit cards processed at the table?

I had a hard time landing on a rating for this restaurant

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Alex D. on 05/14/2024

I had a hard time landing on a rating for this restaurant because the food is certainly good, truthfully it's the price point that lowered my overall score. Here's the number one feature of this place: the view. The location and atmosphere was absolutely stunning there is not a doubt about it. On the flip side, this is what you're paying for. The menu and food was about what you would expect from a fine dining establishment. While we liked our meals and have no outright complaints, for the price point we were not totally blown away. The portions are also incredibly small. We did not do the tasting menu, just ordered from the normal menu, but we honestly left hungry. This would be a wonderful place for a happy hour or a small appetizer but I do not think we would do the entire experience again just simply based off the price versus value of the food.

Really 3.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @R N. on 05/05/2024

5 stars. Service was amazing! But the food was mediocre to decent. We did the tasting menu, and as several of the reviewers have mentioned, food was majorly oversalted at times and at others, incredibly bland and/or sour. We enjoyed the amuse bouche but our pastries were stale (I still ate them, but unspectacular), risotto was sour and frankly unappealing, and several of the fish dishes were incredibly bland. Dessert was great. Dishes all were presented beautifully. Our server was super thoughtful and took great care of us, and the views and ambiance were spectacular. So in summary, go for experience, but have low expectations of the food.

Vegetarian perspective First, I was thrilled they had a vegetarian tasting menu. Some courses were good, some were flavorless or not exciting. I love exploring vegan food and was just hoping to really be blown away by creative vegetarian options here. While some were creative in presentation, I was really upset that the flavor and bigger creativity was lacking in some. Compared to other vegan places I've been. For this price and this name, I was expecting each dish to be memorable. The views were incredible and the service was probably the most memorable part. She was great! Plus all the small touches. Birthday dessert, to-go bag with a breakfast pastry, exchanging cocktails, etc.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @HermitCrab on 04/19/2024

Wonderful location, the view is incredible. Very good table service, waiters always prepared and very careful. The menu is interesting (also with some italian contamination), with fresh ingredients: the flavours tend a bit too much towards the international cusine, spoiling a bit the taste (e.g. the octopus was excellent exept for a dressing that was way too acid and hence overwhelming for the whole dish). Good wine list. Overall a good experience.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Michelle E. on 04/09/2024

The view was beautiful and the sunset was lovely to have during the meal. I ate here with a tasting meal for an event so I can't speak to the value but the portions were generous for a tasting menu. We had a custard type dish served in a shell, scallop crudite, fresh pasta with truffle, fish with parsnip and greens, steak, and floral dessert. Presentation was pretty but didn't have a ton of seasoning/flavor. The pasta was fresh but did kind of taste of fettuccini Alfredo you can make at home. My favorite piece was the greens served with the fish. Service was really lovely and I would come for the views alone, but I imagine it is an expensive meal.

The three stars is simply for the ambiance, the views, and the amazing service we received. The food was horrifying, the lobster was not cooked throughly and the sea bass was lack luster. But again, the views are definitely worth seeing for yourself, such a beautiful restaurant, I wish the food matched.

A Must Do in Philly

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @mrstraveller1 on 12/21/2023

I had a fantastic time at JG SkyHigh, the restaurant/bar atop the swanky Four Seasons Hotel. Itโ€™s worth a visit alone for the awe inspiring, turbo charged glass elevator ride, which fires you up 60 floors to the gloss & gleam of JG Vongerichten. Once there, itโ€™s a stunning, airy space of wraparound glass, with THE most amazing views in the city. Food was delicious, & given the high end surroundings, I didnโ€™t think, hideously expensive. Service was speedy, polished & free of pomp. You can come for breakfast, lunch, supper or just drinks & snacks. Food was delicious.

9/10. Ambience and views are outstanding. The food was excellent, with a varied selection for the 6 course tasting menu (which ended up really as 9 courses). Service was friendly and the meal was served at the correct pace. Some of the wine pairings had a great stories, but lacked in quality. Still, a highly recommended dining experience in Philadelphia, easily equivalent to the flagship New York restaurant where we have dined many times.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Patrick G. on 11/27/2023

I saw an episode on YouTube of Joshua Weissman and JG cooking challenge then i realized i havent finished writing my review here, so Im here to finish what i started. My cousin was visiting from Chicago and i wanted to take her somewhere special and get some good views and photos while we were at it. I've been here at least 2 times already prior to this visit, so it was certainly an experience i wanted to share. I was carefully planning to arrive early enough to have seating without a reservation and still be able to experience the sunset. Chester was very welcoming and he showed me around and got my promptly seated at a beauutiful spot that overlooks the bar and the scenic view. Drew was my server and he was very attentive and accommodating. If your guest doesnt drink, they can actually make mocktails for you - its not on the menu, but you can actually tell your waiter what flavor you want it to be and what you want mixed into it. Same thing for cocktails - name it, they can make it. The food was delicious and very presentable. The flavors were very distinct and you can taste everything it was cooked with. Its not overpowering. It is to my liking. It was like a work of art. I had the great opportunity to meet and shake hands with Alessandro Picardi, the assistant general manager of their establishment. I had to share with him my praises for their quality and overall great service. It was a very unique experience, highly recommended and definitely worth a visit with your special friends, family and loved ones.

First off, the views are just incredible.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Becktoria B. on 11/26/2023

On the 59th floor of the Four Seasons hotel, which is the tallest building in Philly, you can't get any better views than that. We went at 2.30pm after lunch and before dinner so it was a light bites menu. We got to see 360 degrees view of the city during daytime, sunset and the city lights at night. The elevator up to JG was definitely a ride and an experience. The decor as you enter during the holiday season is just prestigious looking and the interior decor was beautiful, especially with the reflective ceiling mirrors. Now for the food, we had the hash brown caviar, kale salad with salmon, sea trout crispy rice and wagyu cheesesteak spring rolls. The $68 caviar hash brown was good but definitely not with the price. I thought we would at least get a few pieces of hash brown but it was just one small piece. I did like the soft and flaky hash brown but I've never understood the priciness of caviar. The cheesesteak spring roll was good though the meat was rarer than I expected. I'm used to normal medium rare wagyu but didn't expect for the spring roll to have that though. It had a light cheese inside and personally I prefer it that way. It came with a very vinegary tomato chutney type of condiment which was good but I ate that separately instead of combining it with the spring r The kale salad was refreshing and had a light drizzle of dressing. We added the salmon to it and that was cooked pretty well and soft and flakey. The sea trout crispy rice wasn't as crispy but I didn't mind the less crispy texture. The sea trout tasted like spicy tuna but with a stronger flavour. However, I've had better crispy rice tbh. Overall, definitely an experience to have. Reservations are hard to get for lunch or dinner. The downstairs bar area open just after 5pm.

I've been to Jean-Georges Philadelphia twice.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Shonti T. on 11/07/2023

The first time with my wife for brunch just prior to the pandemic, and recently with my parents and wife for dinner. They offer valet parking for $35. The elevator ride to the top of the building is an experience in itself and I suggest you go during daytime to take in the views. I also suggest you request a seating arrangement near a window so you can take it all in while you're there. The service is top notch although you should plan on being there several hours if your selecting from the tasting menu. My one nit is the food we had for our dinner experience. When we had our brunch everything was amazing, the flavor profiles were all very interesting, and it all just tasted superb. During our dinner, a lot of the items tasted bland, and others were extremely over salted. Like over salted to a point where they shouldn't have been served. Dessert was good though. Can't go wrong with sugar. Ambiance is half the price of the meal. Who knows what rent is at that location. They need to get their seasoning right though if your gonna charge a thousand dollars for four people for dinner!

Our Favorite Watering Hole In Philly

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @oznnora on 01/30/2023

We've been fans of Chef Vongerichten for years now, so when he opened a place in Philadelphia, we booked into the 4 Seasons to experience his vision there. The room is spectacular, the service staff well-trained and the food is well prepared. Every time we're in Philly, as we were last Saturday, we make a point of dropping in. The restaurant was very crowded, so we sat at the bar intending to have brunch and drinks. Despite the fact that the bar was full, the staff was cheerful and accommodating, though we never got to order food and had to be contented with a couple of Bloody Marys!

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Andrew F. on 01/29/2023

..service was very slow and clumsy. It took about 35-40 minutes for us to receive our food and it all came out at once, apps and entrees. The table wasn't big enough for most of us to have our app and entree side by side so it was a very tight dining experience. Additionally, our server spilled my drink on my new pants. Also, this is probably the only four seasons I've been to that doesn't feel like a four seasons. People are in there with hats on, sweatpants...felt more like a sports bar than a fine dining experience. There were also a group of individuals that did a loud sports chant that was disruptive and rude. This four seasons needs to elevate and enforce the standards they require for their guests.

We had a wonderful tasting menu experience here with wine accompaniment. I love doing the foodie thing and this is definitely the place. The view (top of the skyscraper) the ambiance (intimate, not crowded) and service were top notch. Loved all the cocktail choices and the food was excellent. I will say, that the food was a notch lower than similar places we have been to in New York and Las Vegas, but was still excellent. We also visited Vernick Food and Drink. Their food was better, but it was a crowded ambiance with people tucked in tight all around and service was okay. In case you are trying to decide.

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Dutch S on 12/08/2022

Everything about our lunch was fantastic ... except the food. I've done a lot of business travel. I never have high expectation at hotel restaurants. But I assumed the Four Seasons would be different. The decor, view, and service were all wonderful. My wife's shrimp mushroom risotto had little taste except for being overly salted. My "fried chicken" was half good. The thigh meat was tender and juicy but the breast meat was dry. The breading on both was nice but seemed like "fish and chips" batter. I've had better hotel food at a Holiday Inn. We live in Philly so we know what's possible in this foodie city. Come on guys, you should do better.

The dinner we had was okay, a huge amount of the dishes were very over-salted. Not sure if it was the sauce or if it was the chef, either way not acceptable for a $500+ meal. First off absolutely amazing setup if you are into the grand hotel feels. All the way on top of Philly (I recommend come during the day for a better city view), then you descend back down into the restaurant. And of course the service was definitely up to par for the prices and "level" the restaurant deems itself at.Now the food- 3 star might be a bit rough but when I factor in a lackluster cocktail menu, together with a $700 bill - it definitely deserves a low 3 star (maybe a 4 on a good day).Pastries were warm and cute - good start.Iconic snacks were... okay. Caviar is unique but I've had better in St.Petersburg, Russia from a local restaurant. The crispy trout was a surprise. Not the fish, but rather the "rice" base. God that was amazing. And I really don't know why tuna noodles are anything iconic. I can slice a piece of tuna into pieces too.Bubble tea was meh- weird to be honest. Credits for fun/ creativity.Hamachi I really wanted to send back to be honest. That fish shouldn't have been served.White truffle ravioli - I even ordered an extra gram of truffle and it lacked flavor. Pasta was too "Al-dente" for me. I've had better.Duck breast was AMAZING. Gamey but gosh- if I could only cook like that.Desserts?? Well save room for the petit fours and the sorbet... other parts were a miss for me.

What a special night! From the time the glass front elevator whisks you to the 60th floor until the evening ends with your take home Kugelhopt for breakfast the morning after, Jean Georges in the Four Seasons Hotel is exceptional. The views from the 59th floor of the windowed restaurant and 60th floor bar are stunning and the food at Jean George is truly special! We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation for a drink at the bar and walk-around taking in the views until our table was ready. Once seated you are treated to a multi course tasting menu that is as gorgeous as it is delicious. The service is second to none and you feel pampered for the entire duration of the dinner. As the sun set over the city each dish was beautifully presented and described and each was unique, perfectly balanced and delicious! the seasonal menu featured many tastes of the autumn season along with signature Jean Georgeโ€™s dishes. Valet parking is available ($30) and a wine pairing is also available which we did not participate in but did get wine by the glass and cocktails. This is definitely a splurge restaurant for a special occasion ($198 prix fixe) but it is an amazing experience that lasts over 3 hours and made for a very a memorable night. The more casual JG Skyhigh afforda the same views for a more reasonable price but for a special occasion Jean George is absolute perfection!

Can we call it "fridge burn"?* yellowtail burned from cold, as were many courses. it's those fridges.* hit and miss course. some courses amazing, but most are plagued from poor timings in the kitchen, or these fridges which age food decades in the few hours left inside.* kudos to som who found some quite amazing wine pairings along the course.* kudos too to the support staff who elegantly deliver the service you expect of cuisine at this level.* oh wow the pumpkin with the perfectly cooked duck was amazing, but it was fresh, and the rest of the plate was cold (and it was not from fridges, it was from waiting for that pumpkin!)BUT HAUTE CUISINE IS DEADIn a world of 200% inflation on our grocery bills, 30-60% inflation over six months at restaurants and in a time where taped-up signs advise that menu pricing is subject to change (FRAUD!), and an overall inability to execute and deliver, I don't care which episode of "Restaurant Survivor" we're on, restauranting as we knew it pre-covid is DEAD AND GONE.Save your thirteen dollar signs $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and grab yourself instead some tickets to this weekend's Phillies' playoff game!

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Jean-Georges Philadelphia at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Jean-Georges Philadelphia page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.

2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* PerceptiveWash44, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* PerceptiveWash44 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to PerceptiveWash44 for any questions Peter may have as PerceptiveWash44 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* PerceptiveWash44 now uses their connections at Jean-Georges Philadelphia to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If PerceptiveWash44 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, PerceptiveWash44 receives the $200 reward which is credited to PerceptiveWash44's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Jean-Georges Philadelphia!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
